Despite being spotted for weeks without their wedding rings, the divorce of Katy Perry and Russell Brand has surprised many, but why did he file divorce from her? Initial reports state that she was surprised by his move, but according to TMZ , Katy wanted him to do it. As the child of two religious parents, Katy didn’t want to file for divorce because she didn’t want to upset her mother and father. However, both Katy and Russell knew the marriage was over. The two were married in October 2010, and have no children together. It’s really sad to see their relationship end, but this union will likely end up a lot of great music as material on Katy’s next album. The Kimbella/Erica Mena debacle is getting bigger and bigger by the minute. While Erica claims that the fight VH1 aired between her and Kim has caused her career to plummet, Kimbella claims Erica is a “crack whore.” The reality TV baby momma recently spoke with TheYBF where she told them her side of the physical altercation. YBF: Erica Mena has been popping off about your big fight this week. She seemed to start going in on you as soon as you opened you mouth and it was your first REAL time meeting?! She says a lot ended up on the cutting floor and the show was shaped to make her look like the bad guy. Do you agree? What’s your side of the story? Kimbella: I don’t agree. She is bi-polar. In fact, she is a crack whore and you will get to see it in the rest of the episodes brought to you by VH1! She is obviously embarrassed by her actions because she really got to see who “she” really is. She doesn’t know how to conduct herself as a lady and it showed. I basically I was attacked. I tried to stay classy but she tried my patience and crossed the line. It’s crazy to hear her blaming VH1 and not herself.Even the producers were dumbfounded when all this happened. Did you know Erica before this? No! What’s wrong with these women? What did I do to Chrissy or Erica for them to do this to me? I don’t know her….and I haven’t heard anything great about her. The one thing I can tell you is that folks in the industry are saying before “Love & Hip Hop,” she was found stripping in the Valley and giving blow jobs for $200. So that is the career that me and VH1 are ruining? Click here, for the full article. Listen: “Love & Hip Hop” Erica Mena Drops Snippet “Fantasy” The Kim VS. Erica Aftermath “Love & Hip Hop” Sneak Peak [VIDEO]
This year… we had a bunch of scandalous videos you guys seriously enjoyed. Take a trip down memory lane with the most scando of the year. 1. “Deena” the Kim Kardashian hater went on Dr. Drew’s show about black men not dating white women… and the girl ended up getting groped. People say it was for show and was all staged, but whatever the case… you guys clicked it. This is Deena on the show “H8R” confronting Kim Kardashian
The fight might be over, but the claws are still out. According to TMZ reports : “Love & Hip Hop” star Kimbella Vanderhee tells TMZ, Erica Mena wasn’t edited to look like the bad guy during their massive hair-pulling cat fight in this week’s episode — Erica WAS the bad guy … and VH1 just showed her for who she truly is. As we first reported, Erica claims VH1 editors clipped the show to make her look like the villain — when she appeared to unleash an unprovoked verbal attack on Kimbella, accusing her of cheapening the video vixen industry by agreeing to work for pennies. Kimbella flipped, throwing a glass at Erica … and the fight blew up from there. You’ve all seen the fight footage … it’s awesome. But now, Kimbella’s coming to the defense of VH1 — claiming producers didn’t misrepresent Erica on the show … the fight happened exactly the way everyone saw it on television. Kimbella tells us, “VH1 didn’t do editing on anything with [Erica]. That’s who she is” — insisting she’s using the fight for publicity … to boost her struggling career. But Erica’s unfazed — telling us, “I wish her well and much success in 2012. Have a happy new year!” Still no word from VH1. We’re actually ridin’ with Kimbella on this one. How much editing could have POSSIBLY been done to make Erica “look bad”??? After watching the clip several times it looks pretty cut-and-dry to us. It’s obvious that Erica has violent tendencies, ESPECIALLY after we saw the footage of her scrapping with her boyfriend! Take a look at it again for yourself and tell us what YOU see. More On Bossip! We knew Erica’s so-called beef with Kimbella was just another case of the ho-pot calling the ho-kettle black, but… As she c ontinues to ensure the extension of her 15 minutes beyond her two or three episodes of Love & Hip-Hop with a press run, Erica chopped it up with the folks at BallerAlert.com and explained what her fight with Kimbella really WASN’T about. BA: Is there ANY truth to the whole you were dating Fabolous when Fabolous was dating Kimbella when Kimbella was dating Emily rumor? Nooooo!!! Noooooo!! You guys gotta remember I was 17 years old. I was the shyest thing and I was all into the excitement of, ‘Listen, I want to be in Fab’s shoes, I don’t want to be WITH Fab!’ You know what I’m sayin’? I’m trying to be where Fab’s at [professionally] I’m not trying to….No!!! That was never my intention when I got into this game. It was just….No! No! Sorry! Soooo, this chick wants us to believe that her only issue with Juelz’ jump-off-turned-baby-mama is the fact that Kimbella does smutty photo shoots for men’s magazines? That doesn’t make sense. BA: You’ve done Show Magazine, King Magazine, Smooth Girl…Kimbella most recently, they touched on it on the show, did Black Men Magazine. You described that genre, with Kimbella anyway, as “soft porn”. Do you feel the same way about when you did those magazines? EM: When I did them, you have to remember, I was new to the game but even then I was always very outspoken with things. For instance, with the “Candy Shop” video when I was doing the lead with 50 Cent I was very adamant with the director (Jessy Torrero). I had a bustier on and the scene was in a bed and it was very seductive in that sense already. I kind of spoke out and said ‘Listen, I need some jean shorts in this scene. I need to wear some jean shorts.’ I understand the booty shorts match the bustier… but you know, I’ve always been outspoken in that sense. A lot of girls don’t understand that you canbe that way and I think that’s unfortunate. The video stuff gets stereotyped because of that. A lot of girls are open and willing to do whatever for whatever and don’t realize that you do have control over your image and how you come across and if you don’t speak on it you will get taken advantage of and that’s what they’ll assume you’re down to do. Girl, bye. But here’s what we found most interesting about Erica’s interview…
“Love & Hip Hop’s” newest cast member Erica Mena is upset with VH1 for showing the video of her fight with fellow co-star/model Kimbella Vanderhee. Erica says that the fight has ruined her modeling career and the editing was fixed to make Kimbella look innocent! Erica tells TMZ , the vicious, glass-smashing, hair-pulling cat fight between her and Kimbella Vanderhee has torpedoed her modeling career, and it’s all VH1′s fault. In case you missed it, Kimbella throws a champagne glass at Erica after Erica accuses her of cheapening the video vixen industry by agreeing to work for a pittance. Erica responds by grabbing Kimbella’s hair and well…just watch the clip:
Jonesy breaks down all the great moments from Reality TV this week. The Kimbella hair fire tops it, but T.I. and Tiny show shows a lot of promise. And, you all know the Real Housewives of Atlanta fiasco is always in the mix.
Here we are again with yet another “Basketball Wives Reunion” special. I, for one, have been waiting on this very moment all season, just to see exactly how kooky Jackie was going to explain her antics all season long. Of course, it didn’t take very long for Jackie to get all riled up especially when the host, John Salley, asked Imani exactly how the drama between her, Laura and Jackie actually got started. “Don’t let me get Verizon on the phone!” Jackie threatened Imani when they were going back and forth about if they spoke on the phone at noon or after midnight. No Jackie, that won’t be necessary since we’re all quite confused why the time this so called phone conversation between you and Imani is a relevant topic on the reunion show anyway. Once Jackie simmered down (for the time being), John Salley touched on Malaysia and Laura’s fight, Imani and Laura’s beef, Gloria and Matt’s break up and exactly why everybody hated Draya. Draya “cleared the air” on the rumors surrounding her and her son explaining that they all were just not true and Jackie decided to jump in and tell Draya that she really felt bad about looking her up on Google, but wasn’t going to apologize for it and didn’t regret it. Jackie then went on to attack Gloria, and the two went back and forth for the remainder of the show. I don’t know if anyone caught Jackie saying something about Gloria and Laura’s baby daddy having a little fling, but I sure did! I don’t know, Jackie does seem a little cooky to me, but some of the side comments that she throws out there during arguments makes you wonder where she got these “false” tales from. Do you think there is some truth to it? Or is Jackie just crazy? Part one of the reunion special was a bit of a snooze, hopefully we’ll get more clarity on part two next Monday! Thank God last night was a calm episode of “Love and Hip Hop.” I don’t know if I could take another beat down like last week! This week’s episode was more like the “aftermath” of the Chrissy VS Kimbella brawl that we saw on last week’s episode and we got to understand just why Chrissy popped off on Kimbella in the first place. Chrissy wakes up the next morning after the fight with a headache because 1. Kimbella pulled out Chrissy’s clip on track and 2. She feels like she’s caused a big problem between Jimmy and Juelz. After telling Jimmy what happened between her and Juelz baby momma, she feels a little better that is until she realizes that Jimmy really isn’t paying her story too much attention. SMH. The girls get together to try and talk about what to do next with Chrissy and Kimbella and when Yandy asks everyone why they thought Chrissy was so angry with Kimbella, no one seemed to have a valid answer except the fact that she was out of line. Kimbella still seemed clueless as to where she went wrong after telling Emily that she “dated” Fabolous three years ago, and couldn’t understand why Chrissy would just pounce on her like that, especially since their men are like “brothers”. Yandy feels like she’s in a bad position considering that Chrissy and Kimbella are both like her sisters and Jimmy and Juelz are her clients, and she can’t mess up her money, because that’s the most important thing here, right? Kimbella and Emily decide to sit down and try to hash things out. Kimbella explains to Emily that she was unaware of her and Fabolous’ relationship when they supposedly “dated” but Emily makes it clear to her that they didn’t actually date, unless she considers one night after the club a date (ouch). Their meeting goes unresolved, and the two go their separate ways. The girls later all attend Somaya’s performance, which I won’t speak too much on and after realizing that Somaya’s pants were unbuttoned and her goodies were exposed the whole time, they were all pretty much over Somaya and her dreams of being a rapper, myself included. The DJ at the club so conveniently played Mama Jones’ single “Psychotic” and Yandy got up and did a little two-step which set Chrissy off, again. Now as much as I like Mama Jones’s single (don’t judge me), even I know now to act like I like it when Chrissy is in the room. I mean Yandy do you really want a red bottom to your skull like Kimbella? I don’t think so… Did Kimbella Really Deserve That Beatdown From Chrissy On “Love & Hip Hop 2″?
