Life wasn’t always so good… Nas Planned To Hang Jay-Z In Effigy At Summer Jam 2002 Nowadays the two titans of rap are real chummy with each other. But during the summer of 2001 their lovefest was put on the back burner for animosity and cheap shots as Nas and Jay-Z engaged in a epic war of words after the “God MC” dropped the the shot heard round the world with “The Takeover”. Not only did Nas respond with a insult-laden diss of his own (“Ether”) but he took things up a notch and planned to HANG the self-proclaimed “King of New York” in effigy at New York’s Hip-Hop Superbowl, Summer Jam. Although the stunt was stifled to go on as planned by the radio station in allegiance to Jay-Z, the footage of the the Hovi Hov body double has been released…so you know it’s real! Hit the flip side to peep the eerie footage of the life-sized Jay-Z doll being created. Image via WENN
