Cambridge has decided to equalize pay for same-sex married couples ( NYT 15 June , HuffPo 10 July ), who at the moment have to pay more in federal taxes than other married couples . Speaking as a pro-marriage, pro-family person I think it is very unfortunate that national policy discriminates against matrimony and families in this way: we need to strengthen these fine institutions, not weaken them….
