And by voter fraud, they mean young and minority people voting. The Associated Press reports that five Southern sates, freed from Federal oversight, have quickly moved to tighten their voting laws. New legislation includes tighter identification requirements, the elimination of early voting, and the abandonment of programs designed to register high school students to vote. “We’re in the middle of the biggest wave of voter suppression since the Voting Rights Act was enacted,” Katherine Culliton-González, director of voter protection for the Advancement Project, told the AP. A survey done by the North Carolina Board of Elections found that 600,000 voters (mostly poor and minority) would not have been able to vote in last year’s presidential election, had the state adopted its new voting restrictions then. Attorney General Holder is suing the state of Texas following the introduction of new voter ID laws following the Supreme Court decision, and has pledged to defend the rights of voters This is just bogus.
