Promoting his new autobiography on 60 Minutes, Arnold Schwarzenegger discusses his betrayal of Maria Shriver … sort of. That’s not a word he would use apparently. Watch this preview of his sit-down with CBS’ Lesley Stahl, airing Sunday: Arnold on 60 Minutes “She gave up her television career for you,” the journalist said of Maria, who Arnold cheated on (and had a love child) with housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena . “I mean, wow, was this the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?” I mean, wow is right. No way around it … yet Arnold still dodged. “I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship,” he said. “It was terrible … I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.” Crazier still, Shriver hasn’t even seen Schwarzenegger’s book . When Stahl asked if she knew what Arnold wrote, all he said was, “She knows it’s about my whole life” and that a book in which he omitted his indiscretions is “not the book I wanted to write.” Great.
