According to the often-wacky Twitter feed of Jose Canseco, the former Major League Baseball star and admitted steroid user has been charged with rape. In a series of postings today, Canseco named his alleged victim and wrote that Las Vegas Police told him during a home visit that he had been charged with this heinous crime “Breaking news this is a first folks las vegas police was just at my house i have been charged with rape by a [redacted] from las vegas,” Canseco Tweeted, followed by: All media welcome to this drama filled event. did i rape [redacted] or is she lying? Stay tuned to another day in the life of jose canseco. I think we should just start this off with a polygraph exam.just to get the ball rolling. [redacted] told police that i druged get and then raped her.hmmmmm.lets find out what really happened. Jackie Valley of The Las Vegas Sun , meanwhile, writes that Canseco was visited by authorities and is considered a “person of interest” in an alleged sexual assault.
