In many countries the second Sunday of May is celebrated as mother’s day. In this day, people give gifts to their mothers and thanked them for the love and care. Mother’s Day is a day for acknowledging the importance of their role in the family. This is the time to show love and affection to our mothers. Mothers are blessing from God. The love that mother gives to her children is priceless. Some people give gifts to their mothers and some would make arrangement like a small gathering of all family members. Others would make surprises to show their love and affection. Mother’s Day was originated from United States. It was first celebrated on February 28, 1909. In some countries, March 8 is a declared day for celebration of Mother’s day. African countries were influenced by British in celebrating this day.
