Getty Images Off Duty Cop Put On Leave After He Pepper Sprays And Body Slams 7th Grade Girl The mother of a 7th grade girl who was having a school fight , is upset with the way one off-duty cop handled her daughter. Dallas school police officer was seen pepper spraying and slamming a 12-year-old girl to the ground on video. His reaction to the 100 pound child fighting landed her in the hospital. This resulted in fracturing her clavicle. The officer was put on administrative leave while the girl was suspended.  On Tuesday, Mariana Benton return to Piedmont Global Academy School with her arm in a sling. “It makes me mad, angry. She’s 12-years-old. She weighs 100 pounds. He should be fired,”  Alma Valadez, her mother said while watching video from the incident. She says the cop should be fired, not suspended for what he did. According to the report, the school responded by saying what the officer did does not reflect what they represent. His name has not been released. SMH.
