A handful of radio stations around the country have yanked the Little Big Town single “Girl Crush” because listeners have complained about its content. The track tells the tale of a woman who is jealous of her ex-boyfriend’s new paramour. Little Big Town – “Girl Crush” According to Alana Lynn, radio host at the Boise station 104.3 FM, she received a number of calls and emails accusing her of “promoting the gay agenda” after playing the song, whose lyrics include the following: I want to taste her lips cause they taste like you/I want to drown myself in a bottle of her perfume/I want her long blond hair, I want her magic touch/Yeah cause maybe then, you’d want me just as much. Lynn said listeners have threatened to boycott the station and, as a result, she had to yank the song from her morning lineup. The Washington Post, meanwhile, reports that numerous radio stations across America have pulled the song for similar reasons. One Texas program director, for example, received the following complaint: “You are just promoting the gay agenda on your station, and I am changing the channel and never listening to you ever again!” Take a listen yourself to “Girl Crush” and decide: Does it promote a gay agenda? What the heck does that even mean?!? Celebrities Who Are Anti-Gay and Proud 1.
