Becca Kufrin Begs Trolls to Be Kind: Stop Ruining My Life!!

Even though Becca Kufrin knows how to throw some shade at her ex when the moment is right, she’s known for being a good, kind person. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about some very vocal Instagram trolls who harass public figures every single day. In a new, heartfelt post, Becca pleads with them all to be kinder and less cruel. “You don’t need me to remind you, but life can be rocky,” Becca’s post begins. “People can be harsh.” “In our current climate, the internet can often times be the biggest weapon against our soul,” she characterizes. Becca observes: “Social media has taken over and will only keep growing.” “Because of that, so will our insecurities, jealousie,s and hurdles we face as women,” she predicts. Becca writes: “And it’s the unfortunate truth that social media is linked to a significant increase in anxiety, depression, suicide, and body image issues.” “For two years I’ve been thrust into the public eye on a scale that I never imagined possible,” she points out. “Yes, this was my doing by entering reality TV,” Becca acknowledges. She adds: “But nothing could prepare me for the amount of constant commentary and opinions being thrown at me.” “This feedback not only includes criticism on my love life,” Becca details. “But on how I look, speak, dress, and apply (or don’t apply) my makeup.” “And, at times it’s downright hindering,” she admits. “I’ve had days where I didn’t want to leave bed because of the anxiety I felt on a social scale.” “And I’m not alone,” Becca observes. “I’ve had countless conversations with others.” She has spoken to people “who have felt inadequate because of someone with mean, type-happy fingers.” “Many of us feel like we are drowning,” Becca laments. “Because we have to live up to some unattainable social goal.” “Let’s change this,” she suggests. “Let’s all take a step back and maybe NOT type a rude comment.” Becca continues: “or hit “send” with demeaning words into someone’s DMs.” “Who are we to judge another person by the makeup she puts on, how white our teeth are, or if we forgot to wash our hair for six days straight?” she asks. “As women, we need to do a better job of building ALL humans up,” Becca proclaims. She continues: “Of using our voices to support one another no matter our education level, ethnicity, background, etc.” “Let’s focus on the positives of individuals and spread care,” Becca recommends. “Because if not,” she warns. “The pressures of being perfect, and anxieties when we aren’t, will only consume us.” “A gentle reminder that Instagram is not reality,” Becca emphasizes. “It does not define who we are to our core.” “It can only give a MINOR glimpse into our daily lives,” she reminds followers. “But what is said through social media can leave a lasting impact,” Becca states. “So spread a little kindness.” She concludes: “Tell a stranger how contagious her smile is in a recent photo, double tap a compliment, and remember to go easy on others and yourself.” This sounds like great advice for countless Instagram trolls and also for Garrett Yrigoyen . Megan Thee Stallion Lets Loose Legal Team On Her Make Up Artist

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Meg Thee Stallion has a clear understanding how valuable her brand is. So much so she might have to put one of her former associates in legal check. TMZ is reporting that the Rap bombshell is flexing her legal muscle against ex or soon to be ex make up artist. Last month Akil McCoy took to social media to make sure the Houston native put some respeck on his face game. On October 22 she posted a clip from her  Vogue feature with footage of her using an eyebrow brush. Clearly he felt snub and commented “Make Up Akilaface”. According to the story “The Big Ole Freak” rapper’s lawyer sent McCoy a cease and desist request. Apparently the letter stated that he is violating his non disclosure agreement by discussing his work with Megan. The celebrity website also suggests that if Akil continues to speak openly about their working relationship, even if the commentary is positive, he will be taken to court. You can view their original exchange on Instagram that sparked the feud below. View this post on Instagram #PressPlay: Oop!! #MeganTheeStallion and her makeup artist get into it real quick!! TRIED IT: I Got A 15 Minute Laser Facial To Help With Anti-Aging And Here’s What Happened To My Skin

See the original post here:

There are levels to skincare . While some of us are just happy to wash the makeup off our face every night, others have a 12-step skincare routine . There are also others that go the distance when it comes to skincare , doing preventative measures to prevent fine lines, wrinkles, and acne, like regular facials or even laser light therapy. These skincare methods, while they work, can be very, very pricey and often require multiple visits to truly see results. Enter the world of laser facials. If you want to take your facial routine to the next level, you may want to consider a laser facial. A laser facial uses a laser to deep clean your pores, leave your skin feeling brighter, and improving the texture. After several visits, if you suffer from acne, it’s also been known to clear that up too. If you don’t have $1K to drop, you can go to Skin Laundry. Skin Laundry is working towards making fancy facials more accessible to everyday people. Skin Laundry was founded in Santa Monica, California and currently has 23 locations globally. If you are lucky to live by a Skin Laundry, you might want to consider popping in. The company is led by Dr. Adam Geyer, a board-certified dermatologist. It was founded by Yen Reis, who struggled with acne for years. They boast the Laser & Light Facial, which is 15 minutes, no downtime, and only $75.00. While all lasers are considered non surgical, not all lasers have zero downtime. Non-ablative lasers, or lasers that only use heat but don’t injure the surface of the skin, require no downtime. Ablative lasers is deemed one of the most effective cosmetic procedures for improving skin aging. The procedure users lasers to deliver an intense wavelength of light into the skin and remove the outer layers of the epidermis. This procedure can have 2-3 weeks of recovery. Upon entering the location, if feels like an airy medical spa. I signed in on the iPAD and chatted with Dr. Adam Geyer, a private practice dermatologist based in TriBeca, who is also the Medical Director of Skin Laundry. Before my appointment, I admit, I was very skeptical. I fall in the range of someone who has a good skincare routine, but I haven’t delved in the medical arena of options like fillers or laser treatments. It just seems aggressive and could aggressive really improve my skin? I held nothing back. Dr. Geyer explained the goal of Skin Laundry is “to bring light and laser treatments from the rarified offices of dermatologists to a wider audience and to do so safely and efficiently.” As mentioned earlier, laser light therapy and facials can cost up to $1K. Dr. Geyer shared, “In a dermatologists office, if something is in the $400-$500 range, it will be in the $75 to $150 range here.” They keep the costs at a minimum in several ways. One, they allow specially trained nurses to administer the procedures. Dr. Geyer explained, “at a dermatologist office, it’s the doctor who is directly performing it often, depends on what office you are going to.” Another reason is that medical offices have a higher overhead because there is more staff. Dr. Geyer explained, “We keep costs low by keeping the treatments efficient.” They keep the menu small because they “want to do a few things really well.” I kind of appreciated that there are only three treatment offerings, knowing that the staff is well trained in these arenas. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James I signed up for the lowest level treatment: the 15 minute laser and light therapy. Dr. Geyer reassured me, “We want customers and clients to grow within their treatments. What you would start out with today is not an aggressive treatment, nothing here is aggressive.” The fact that nothing is aggressive also keeps the costs affordable. I was still a little leery. A laser on my face? I looked around the office and saw none of the models or people with my skin tone. He shared, “You aren’t pushing the envelope where something needs to be done in a Doctors hands where energy settings are at that line between risk and benefit.” He continued, “You are doing treatments that are safe and universally safe. It’s something where yes, you will require more treatments in order to maintain and build results because we’re not an all in one approach where you’re going in for a total overhaul and having a significant recovery, but with risk.” I instantly felt a bit better about the treatment. After we spoke, I was introduced to a nurse who would be performing my treatment. Before going in, they had me wipe my face with this pad. Once laying on the table, the nurse went over with me what we would be doing again (even though I did it in the iPAD) and asked if I had any questions. Then we got started.

Beautifully Booed Up: Cassie Releases New Pics From Her Alex Fine Wedding

Source: David M. Benett/Stefanie Keenan / Getty Cassie Shares New Wedding Photos Cassie is sharing more photos and details from her Alex Fine wedding. As previously reported Cassie and her trainer bae Alex Fine tied the knot in September after Cassie moved on from her 10-year Diddyship. Now Cassie (who’s pregnant with her first child) is posting pics from her Malibu nuptials and sharing details with VOGUE . According to Cassie she and Alex debated whether or not to get engaged before or after their baby came but ultimately decided on before. Cassie also told VOGUE that Alex surprised her with his proposal that he did alongside the Compton Cowboys. “I knew that Alex was designing a ring, but I honestly wasn’t expecting a super elaborate proposal because we already had the wedding date set, but he planned such a beautiful experience for me. I was so surprised!” He told me to come ready because we were driving straight to dinner to celebrate my birthday early that night as my family was coming into town,” she remembers. “I was running a little late, so he called me to check in.” Cassie pulled up just before the sun went down, and Compton Cowboys leader Randy Savvy came out front to welcome her with flowers. “At that point, I got so nervous, but was also really excited.” She also told VOGUE that they had less than 20 people at their nuptials and explained the process of finding her dress while pregnant. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alex Fine (@alexfine44) on Oct 9, 2019 at 3:45pm PDT There were 14 guests total—all close family. “We wanted a simple venue with a beautiful view that felt warm and romantic,” Cassie says. “We wanted the aesthetic to reflect how comfortable and content we feel with each other.” They worked with event planner Melissa Andre to coordinate everything in just two weeks. “Melissa was a magician with the planning,” Cassie says. “Being that I was seven months pregnant, it wasn’t easy finding a dress in such a short time frame, so I worked with my stylists and friends Marni Senofonte and Deonte Nash to create a custom look with our tailor Arturo and his daughter Christina from Rancho Tailors.” View this post on Instagram Magical. @voguemagazine A post shared by Emilio Sanchez (@emiliosanchez) on Oct 9, 2019 at 5:29pm PDT A few days after picking the wedding date, Cassie spent a week and a half getting the dress made. “I spent one afternoon with Deo and Marni going through inspiration and during that time we settled on a silhouette and fabrication,” she explains. She wanted the dress to feel romantic but comfortable for what she describes as her “intimate backyard wedding.” They did billowy, off-the-shoulder sleeves for romance and a high slit for movement. “When it came to this moment in my life, I knew that [it was] the easier the better for me,” she says. “We chose to create the lace veil to give it a touch of the classic.” She then paired it all with Jimmy Choo shoes and simple studs. The groom wore Musika styled by Paris Libby, while all of the male guests were in black tuxes and the women were asked to wear cream. The couple’s ceremony was performed by close friend and director Peter Berg, the man behind the hit series Friday Night Lights and the newlyweds did their first dance to “Tennessee Whiskey” before ordering heart-shaped pizza. HAUGHT OR NAUGHT: Are You A Brow Pomade, Brow Powder, Or Brow Pencil Type Of Girl? [POLL]

Continue reading here:

Source: Umehz Charles / EyeEm / Getty When it comes to the topic of shaping our eyebrows, the debate is an ongoing one throughout the beauty community. While some beauty mavens are interested in growing out their brows, some are conditioned to use brow pencils or powders to style their eyebrows during the growth process. Now more than ever, pomades are slowly replacing brow pencils as the popular choice. And it makes sense! Pomades are a great product to create bold brows that we see all over Instagram. Definition is key for many makeup lovers and pomades are a great alternative to execute that look. This formula also comes in handy to give brows a long-lasting hold for all day wear. However, if your a fan of the traditional soft brow look, the right pomade will deliver. Many makeup mavens think that pomades are only for those with sparse brows, but anyone can use this product. To perfect the look, dip an angled short brush into your pomade. Gently tap the brush against the back of your hand to remove excess product. Then, brush on the product starting at the center of your bottom brow for an outline. Follow up with an outline at the top of your brow starting just after your brow begins and connect with the bottom line. Fill in the brow with light strokes and use a spoolie brush to fade the product into the front. A front runner and fan favorite in the Hello Beautiful office is Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade ($18.00, sephora.com ). It’s long lasting and comes in 11 different shades. On the flip side, brow pencils also come in major clutch! You can create soft, natural looking brows with ease. And if you’re a sucker for a well placed arch, brow pencils will blow your mind. Simply start at the most sparse area of your brows and fill them in with short, feather like strokes. The key to this method is to be light-handed in application and drawing on the strokes in the direction of your hair growth towards the end of your brows. If you’re looking for an affordable brow pencil, try NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($12.00, nyxcosmetics.com ). This is great if you’re just starting with brows, the only downside is that the pencil tends to run out quickly. You also have beauty mavens who can’t resist a good brow powder. Providing a softer effect that other brow products, powders can be worn alone and can be used to set eyebrow pencils for a fuller finish. The application process is also as simple as can be. All you’ll need is an angled brush coasted with the powder formula. Dab on the back of the hand to remove excess product and sweep the brush in the direction of your hair growth with a light hand. Brush through with a spollie and voila! Our Fashion and Beauty Director, Danielle James, swears by Urban Decay Brow Box in Brunette Betty ($12.97, nordstromrack.com ), “It comes with a spoolie and an applicator and even though it’s a powder, it also has a white pomade to help shape or create a stronger brow. I love it!” It’s currently on sale for over 50% off so you might want to scoop this up ASAP. So, the question remains- are brow pomades easier to shape your brows? We would definitely say that pomades are the safest bet! Not only does this product provide all day wear, it provides the picture perfect finish we all know and love. Pencils are great for those who are just starting their makeup journey, but pomades are where it’s at! What say you? Are you a fan of brow pencils or are you attached to eyebrow pomades? Say What? Lala Anthony Is Guilty Of This Beauty Faux Pas

Read the original here:

Source: Mike Coppola / Getty The lifestyle of a Hollywood star like Lala Anthony  is a busy one. From filming projects, stepping out for press appearances, working on her fashion line  and juggling the full-time job as a mom, it’s all quite the whirlwind. So, while the star is known for her amazing beauty and fashion moves, it’s not that surprising that she is guilty of one of the biggest makeup faux pas. As a matter of fact, we are all guilty of it, but knowing that Lala also forgets to take off her makeup at night lets us know that celebrities are just like us. In a recent interview with ESSENCE , the Power actress revealed that sometimes she’s so tired that removing the day’s makeup can become a low priority. “I was so tired last night,” Lala shares with ESSENCE . “I woke up and Ashley was in the room. She said ‘you didn’t take your makeup off from last night?’ But I was so tired, but I’m not advising that,” she said. “I got to get better at it.” She continued, “I have to do a better job at my skincare routine . My best friend, Kelly Rowland , is the master at all of that,” she said. “She’s constantly sending me products and every time we FaceTime, she has a mask on and then a whole beauty light or an LED light on her face. I haven’t gotten that far yet but I want to encourage all my people to make sure you do wash your face every night and take all the makeup off.” And she is absolutely right! Failing to take off your makeup at night can result in dirt and debris clogging your pores and forming blemishes. You always run the risk of your complexion appearing dull, getting an infection, developing a rash and even breaking down your skin barrier and prematurely aging your skin. Are you also guilty of not removing your makeup before bedtime? Let us know in the comment section down below! Jenelle Evans: I’m Finally Launching My Makeup Line, Dude!

Well, let it not be said that we here at The Hollywood Gossip can't admit when we're wrong. For years, Jenelle Evans has been talking about her makeup line , and for years, we've been saying it'll probably never happen. Well, it looks like we were mistaken. Multiple sources are now indicating that Evans and her team have selected a launch date for JE Cosmetics. But will the products actually wind up in stores this time, or will this launch date quietly come and go, like so many others over the years? Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. Finally Yes, folks, it’s all happening! Jenelle Evans is finally launching her makeup line! But some fans are still skeptical that the products will actually be made available to the public. 2. Looking Back Jenelle, of course, has been teasing the release of her makeup line for YEARS now, and a pattern has emerged in her promotional efforts. 3. Makeup Shake-Ups It goes something like this: Jenelle announces a vague launch schedule (a certain month or season); said month or season comes and goes; Jenelle never explains why the launch didn’t happen. 4. But This Time … This time, however, things are somewhat different, in that Jenelle has announced a specific date for the release of her long-, long-awaited makeup line. 5. Start Getting In Line Now! According to announcements made on her Instagram page and some event called Miami Swim Week, JE Cosmetics will be available for purchase on September 19! 6. Inauspicious Start Unfortunately, the launch is already off to a rocky start, as the announcement has been deleted from Jenelle’s Instagram page. View Slideshow
