Kanye West: Hospital Release Postponed Indefinitely

Kanye West was scheduled to be released from the UCLA Medical Center today, but TMZ is now reporting that the rapper will remain hospitalized for the foreseeable future. It’s not known at this time what prompted the decision, but sources say West was the one who decided he would benefit from further treatment. Details about Kanye’s condition are scarce, but those with knowledge of the situation say he has “not recovered” from the emotional breakdown he suffered last week. TMZ has confirmed that not only will West not be released today, there is currently no date set for his release, and he will remain hospitalized indefinitely. Indications that all was not well with Kanye began to surface last week when he canceled his Saint Pablo tour with little notice. Shortly thereafter, Kanye was hospitalized after suffering some sort of emotional breakdown. It was originally reported that West had been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after allegedly assaulting a member of his personal trainer’s staff. Those rumors have been debunked thanks to a 911 call that was released shortly after the incident.
