Source: Kim Steele / Getty North Jersey Barbershop owner Young Hwan Choi has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after authorities say he performed unlicensed laser surgery on a woman in a procedure that left her badly injured. NJ.com reports, Choi, who owns Shil La Barber Shop in Palisades Park, allegedly conducted botched laser treatment on the victim’s face in November 2017. Investigators found the 72-year-old was not a doctor and not licensed to provide the treatment, according to authorities. Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office said the investigation was continuing and asked anyone else who possibly suffered from similar treatments to call Palisades Park police. Mr. Choi’s botch surgery left scars on the victim’s face and chin. He was arrested Friday and is scheduled for a court appearance next Wednesday.
Back in August, Ben Affleck checked into rehab for the third time following an intervention from his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner. Earlier this week, Affleck left in-patient care and penned a heartfelt message to fans in which he vowed to continue in his treatment. “I am fighting for myself and my family,” Affleck wrote of his road to recovery. Despite the fact that Affleck left rehab several times over the course of his stay, we’re sure Garner is pleased with his progress and will continue to support him in his battle with the bottle. That doesn’t mean, however, that she has any interest in continuing her marriage to the man. Jen and Ben have been separated since 2016, but complications over the custody of their three children have prevented the actors from finalizing their divorce. Sources close to the former couple say the delay was largely a result of Jen waiting for Ben to get sober so that she could, in good conscience, work out a custody arrangement that would enable him to remain a part of his kids’ lives. Now that he seems to be serious about steering clear of the booze, Jen has put their divorce proceedings on the fast track. It was previously reported that Affleck filed divorce paperwork while he was still in rehab . It now looks as though he did so at Jen’s behest. According to a new report from E! News, Jen is so serious about finalizing the divorce that she convinced an LA judge to come out of retirement just to make this thing official. The judge had presided over Ben and Jen’s initial filing, but because they took so long to pull the trigger, he entered retirement before they signed the final papers. A new judge would mean starting the entire process over again, and Jen was having none of that. So instead, with the same charisma and salesmanship she employs when convincing you to apply for a Capital One card, Garner talked the judge into hopping back on the bench one final time. Both Henry County sheriff’s deputies and one Locust Grove police officer have been taken to local hospitals for further treatment. Sometimes it seems like Khloe Kardashian just can’t catch a break. But with all of those pros, there are a good few cons: her marriage to Lamar Odom failed , she had to watch him nearly die, and they were never able to have children together, despite trying. And on top of all that, Khloe may be ruining her vagina. Earlier this month, Khloe took to her app to share a list of items and activities she uses to keep things in tip-top shape down there. There were several hygiene products on the list — a special vagina soap, wipes for on-the-go cleaning, lotions and creams. She also suggested her followers use some little Ben Wa balls, which, as she described, is “like Pilates for your cha-cha!”, and some fancy $200 device to check out the progress of her Kegel exercises. But she also advertised a “vajacial” — a sort of facial for your nether regions. And that’s where she goes wrong. Khloe gets her vajacials from some wax bar in L.A., and essentially she pays someone $75 for “exfoliation, toning, and a ‘face’ mask.” The treatment is also meant to remove any ingrown hairs and clear up pores. But as Dr. Amir Marashi, a gynecologist known in some circles as the Vagina Whisperer, tells Radar Online, the procedure definitely isn’t recommended . He does admit that “I like the fact that all celebrities are talking about vagina because we’ve been ignoring vaginas for a long time.” “I’m really happy celebs are talking — it makes it more comfortable for other people to start talking about it.” But still, he says “I prefer people to get their health care tips from doctors or health care professionals.” He also points out that since Khloe is so famous, someone giving her vagina a facial would likely be way more careful than they would with anyone else. “Patients come to me after this treatment,” he says. “It can very easily be harmed.” The issue, Dr. Marashi explains, is that when getting this vajacial nonsense, the salon worker will often extend the treatment to the inside, into the actual vagina. And you don’t want someone who isn’t a medical professional digging around in there with tools. Kanye West was scheduled to be released from the UCLA Medical Center today, but TMZ is now reporting that the rapper will remain hospitalized for the foreseeable future. It’s not known at this time what prompted the decision, but sources say West was the one who decided he would benefit from further treatment. Details about Kanye’s condition are scarce, but those with knowledge of the situation say he has “not recovered” from the emotional breakdown he suffered last week. TMZ has confirmed that not only will West not be released today, there is currently no date set for his release, and he will remain hospitalized indefinitely. Indications that all was not well with Kanye began to surface last week when he canceled his Saint Pablo tour with little notice. Shortly thereafter, Kanye was hospitalized after suffering some sort of emotional breakdown. It was originally reported that West had been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after allegedly assaulting a member of his personal trainer’s staff. Those rumors have been debunked thanks to a 911 call that was released shortly after the incident. The ladies were wearing ELIE MADI and ROCKY GATHERCOLE FOR THE STARS FASHION HOUSE. Amber is the first model to have MS and walk in fashion week. With the fashion industry notorious for being very exclusive, they are working to raise awareness for auto immune diseases, like Muscular Sclerosis. “We were thrilled to have Brandi and her sister Amber walk in our recent LA Fashion Week show. Brandi exhibits the glow and effervescence of her Godmother Whitney Houston and we were equally excited to work with Amber and Brandi to raise awareness for muscular sclerosis, the disease which Amber suffers from, by having the first model with this debilitating disease,” said designer Elie Madi. “It meant so much to me and my sister for Elie and Jacob to give her the chance to realize a dream of walking in a fashion show which is something she thought she would never complete due to her having MS.
