In March, the parents of Alana “Honey Boo” Thompson, were reportedly visited by Family and Children Services , who somehow did NOT find a reason to prosecute June Shannon and her husband “Sugar Bear.” Despite, among many other reasons, that one of them is named Sugar Bear. But we can now confirm that June has a separate criminal history, as she was arrested in 2008 in Henry County, Georgia. The 33-year old was booked on counts of contempt of court and theft. Not much information is available aside from the charges themselves, but her mug shot has been located – and it’s a classic: “You have to take pride in how you look,” June said on a recent Here Comes Honey Boo episode. “Granted, I ain’t the most beautimous out the box, but a little paint on this barn, shine it back to its original condition. Cause it shines up like it’s brand new. “There’s a lot of people that are bigger than me. They got five hundred chins. I only got about two or three, but I embrace it.” We really can’t add anything to that quote. It speaks for itself.
Although Lil Wayne and Baby have a father-son relationship and Birdman calls Weezy his son, Lil Wayne’s biological father and namesake (Dwayne Carter) is still alive. Lil Wayne has also spoken about his deceased stepfather, Rabbit, who he has said he considers his real father. Rabbit was murdered before Weezy became a star, and Weezy has a tattoo dedicated to him. Wayne sat down with GQ magazine recently and shed light on his relationship with his biological father: He don’t give a sh*t about me. And I don’t give a sh*t about him. I know his friends be like, “Damn, n*gga. That is not your son. Stop lying. N*gga, you could be living in a motherf*cking ranch right now, n*gga.” You know, whatever your father’s into, if you’re rich, you’re gonna get him that sh*t. I would’ve got that n*gga all kinda harnesses, ranches—you know what I mean? I saw the n*gga recently—I had a show in New Orleans. And I ain’t afraid to put this out there, ’cause this is just how much I don’t give a f*ck about a n*gga, and I want people to see how you’re not supposed to be. I was parked at the hotel, and I saw him walking outside the hotel. Just walking back and forth. I’m like, “Look at this n*gga! You gotta be looking for me.” If Lil Wayne got a show in New Orleans, the whole of New Orleans knows. Basically, you’re not there for nothing else but me. So I call my man on the bus. I’m like, “N*gga, that’s my daddy.” He’s like, “Word? Oh sh*t. That n*gga looks just like you!” So I tell my man, “Go see what’s up.” So my man goes to holla at him. He tells my man, “Oh. I didn’t know y’all was here. I’m here waiting for this little ho to get off. Get off work from the hotel.” For real? That’s when I was like, “Typical Dwayne Carter.” So that’s what’s up with me and my real father. I don’t want to look like his ass, but I do. Read the full interview here. It’s going to be a long winter and spring for Gucci Mane . The troubled Atlanta rapper (born Radric Davis) got some bad news today (October 28) when he learned that a DeKalb County judge ruled against his sentence reduction request, and he’s also been hit with a civil suit. As we previously reported, Gucci was sentenced to six months in September after pleading guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. Those charges stem from in incident outside South DeKalb Mall in January where Gucci allegedly pushed a woman he had just picked up out of his moving vehicle. The woman, who sustained minor injuries, identified Gucci by the ice cream cone tattoo on his face. Read more details here. RELATED: Gucci Mane Headed Back To Jail! Atlanta rapper posts bond Wednesday after turning himself in for weapons and drug charges. By Mawuse Ziegbe Waka Flocka Flame (file) Photo: Vallery Jean/ FilmMagic Waka Flocka Flame was released from custody Wednesday (January 5) after turning himself in for an array of weapons and drug charges earlier this week. Deputy Fielder of Georgia’s Henry County Sherriff’s Office confirmed to MTV News that the Atlanta rapper, born Juaquin Malphurs, was at released at 3:33 p.m. after posting $31,950 bond. Waka turned himself in to authorities Monday after his home was raided and his manager-mom Deb Antney and his So Icey mentor Gucci Mane were briefly detained. The “No Hands” rapper was booked on several charges, including possession of marijuana and hydrocodone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of probation for driving on a suspended license. Antney has told MTV News that despite reports the raid was part of an investigation into a prostitution organization, Waka was not involved in that type of activity. “It had nothing to do with prostitution,” Antney said last month. “The weapons they found were licensed weapons. There was under an ounce of marijuana, but it was nothing but a blunt. The other drugs were medication that was in Waka’s room from when he got hurt,” Antney said, referencing the “O Let’s Do It” spitter’s shooting in January 2010 . Waka has staunchly denied that he’s involved in any illegal activity, maintaining that he has no plans to dip into street dealings now that he’s a hitmaking hip-hop star. “Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang? That’s hustling backwards,” he insisted in December. “Why would I wanna rap all around the world and then go hit the streets and gang bang? I’m a rapper, I’m not a [gang-banger]. How can you gang bang and be a rapper? I don’t understand that. I would love to find out where their information is coming from. I can’t wait.” Related Videos Exclusive: Waka Flocka Flame Details Shooting Related Artists Waka Flocka Flame
