While talking about season two of BET’s “ Master of the Mix ,” Kid Capri took at jab at fellow NYC DJs Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue . “I’m glad y’all called me, because it would have been wack to see Funkmaster Flex, or Clue or somebody up here,” said Kid Capri. Amber Rose, who’s had public beef with Flex, stood up and applauded as the crowd reacted to Kid Capri’s words. Although Lil Wayne and Baby have a father-son relationship and Birdman calls Weezy his son, Lil Wayne’s biological father and namesake (Dwayne Carter) is still alive. Lil Wayne has also spoken about his deceased stepfather, Rabbit, who he has said he considers his real father. Rabbit was murdered before Weezy became a star, and Weezy has a tattoo dedicated to him. Wayne sat down with GQ magazine recently and shed light on his relationship with his biological father: He don’t give a sh*t about me. And I don’t give a sh*t about him. I know his friends be like, “Damn, n*gga. That is not your son. Stop lying. N*gga, you could be living in a motherf*cking ranch right now, n*gga.” You know, whatever your father’s into, if you’re rich, you’re gonna get him that sh*t. I would’ve got that n*gga all kinda harnesses, ranches—you know what I mean? I saw the n*gga recently—I had a show in New Orleans. And I ain’t afraid to put this out there, ’cause this is just how much I don’t give a f*ck about a n*gga, and I want people to see how you’re not supposed to be. I was parked at the hotel, and I saw him walking outside the hotel. Just walking back and forth. I’m like, “Look at this n*gga! You gotta be looking for me.” If Lil Wayne got a show in New Orleans, the whole of New Orleans knows. Basically, you’re not there for nothing else but me. So I call my man on the bus. I’m like, “N*gga, that’s my daddy.” He’s like, “Word? Oh sh*t. That n*gga looks just like you!” So I tell my man, “Go see what’s up.” So my man goes to holla at him. He tells my man, “Oh. The prestigious Hollywood Black Film Festival, dubbed “The Black Sundance” has announced its lineup for the 2011 Festival which will happen October 27-30th. The Festival will screen 51 films, including 9 feature films, 11 documentaries and 27 short films. The feature films include, “Rocksteady” a movie about the son of a Jamaican immigrant who becomes a race car driver, “Threading Needles” a story of an African immigrant who falls in love with a white girl, “Chicken And Beef Presents “Monkey Gang” The Mockumentary” a mock documentary comedy parodying negativity in hip-hop, and “Lesson Before Love,” a romantic comedy. Other features include, “Billy” a story about an African American photographer who encounters racism and opposition when he moves to Canada in 1906, “A Mother’s Love,” a family drama, “Mystery Of Birds,” the story of the struggles of a Nigerian female who immigrates to the U.S., “Fish Above Sea Level” a Jordanian film and “Changing The Game” the story of a Black man from the streets who infiltrates Wall Street only to find out the Wall Street is as crooked as the streets. Documentaries include, two Jamaican films, “Bad Friday, Rastafari After Coral Gardens,” a movie about Jamaican oppression of Rastafarians during the 1960s, and “Bob Marley: The Making Of A Legend” which covers Bob Marley’s early years. Other docs include, “Infiltrating Hollywood: The Rise And Fall Of The Spook That Sat By The Door,” a movie about Sam Greenlee’s epic movie, “The Spook That Sat By The Door” and “Phunny Business” a film about the legendary Chicago comedy club, “All Jokes Aside” For more information on The Hollywood Black Film Festival go to www.hbff.org.

The sample sleuths at HipHopIsread have apparently unearthed the sample to Lil Wayne’s latest single, “She Will.” The haunting melody, given a gangster underbelly by producer T-Minus, appears to have come courtesy of Jim Guthrie’s “The Cloud.” Listen to both tracks and tell us what you think. Let’s just hope that Weezy got the sample cleared because Guthrie seems surprised by it in this tweet: Is Weezy about to get sued again? Rapper Gramz may also have something to say about it (unless he also sampled Guthrie).
