They Didn’t Fit The “Decorum” Of The Party Straight Outta Compton was one of the most seminal albums to come out of hip hop and N.W.A couldn’t even go to their own listening party when it was released. Ice Cube went on the Late Late Show with James Cordon and explained the whole situation. Apparently, the bouncer for the uppity venue thought N.W.A was “gang bangers” and refused to let them in. So N.W.A did what any group would do when it’s late night and you have nowhere to go. Peep his story for yourself above!

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty On Friday, Rami Malek will bring the story of Queen and their lead singer Freddie Mercury to life with the movie Bohemian Rhapsody . The music biopic is set to explore the rise of the band during their peak decades in music. It’ll especially give focus to Mercury as he endures his ups and downs with the band, takes on an AIDS diagnosis and goes on to become a music icon well after his passing. Based on the trailer alone, emotions are already running high for the flick and they should. Biopics remain one of the most epic genres since they tend to span an artist’s entire career. Watching the drama unfold onscreen can definitely make you reflect on your own life. Just consider the classic music biopics we’ve come to know and love. For some, anytime they watch What’s Love Got to Do with It , they BECOME Tina Turner. When Tina fought Ike in that car, we were with her. When Ike had the audacity to tell Anna Mae to “eat the cake,” we were right there with our tissue ready to wipe that cheap diner dessert off the Queen. Not to mention, Tina’s final monologue to Ike should be memorized for any future self-motivation talk in the mirror. Then there was Ray. How many of us have had to be a trailblazer in our circle, yet still deal with our many shortcomings? When Ray Charles sang from the pits of his soul in spite of sanctified critics, we applauded. When he got caught up in dope and a life of infidelity, we mourned. And when he confessed his sins to his mom in a dream, we wept. Another biopic that moved many was Straight Outta Compton. Released right around the same time police brutality was getting major attention, the 2015 movie reminded folks that the injustices of the law were nothing new. Songs like N.W.A. ‘s “Fu** Tha Police,” which was very controversial back in 1988, now had new resonance in the years after Mike Brown , Freddie Gray and Sandra Bland . If you weren’t whispering “fu** the police” in theaters while watching Straight Outta Compton… I admire your control. It’s amazing how music stars can seem so far away, yet a deeper delve into their life reveals they’re just as complex as we are. Whether it be the streets of Compton or the rock stages of the 1960s, there has to be a biopic that you can relate to. Try out the quiz below to find out which music classic is lowkey about your life!

Source: Tristan Fewings / Getty Since becoming an overnight sensation after portraying Eazy-E in the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton , Jason Mitchell has been making headlines for his reckless behavior. TMZ reports that Mitchell started wilding out when he boarded the plane and saw that someone was already sitting in his first class seat. In the video of the heated altercation, Jason goes off on the flight attendants and the pilot — even yelling “f*** you” to some of the passengers sitting in first class. According to eyewitnesses, Jason didn’t get off the plane until law enforcement got involved. Police sources say that Jason was cuffed and detained when he finally left the aircraft, but Delta refused to press charges and he was released. However, Delta officials say that they did not overbook and it was Jason’s fault because he was late to the airport and missed his flight, on which he had a first class ticket. Mitchell was flying standby on a later flight, which is the one he had the epic meltdown on, and the only seats left were comfort plus. The actor’s tantrum comes just months after he was accused of physically assaulting an 18-year old woman so bad that she went to the hospital — to which Jason’s team have denied to this day. Check out Jason Mitchell’s wild outburst above.
Joe Budden Sheds A Couple Tears On Everyday Struggle Styles P and his wife went on The Breakfast Club and discussed in detail his daughter committing suicide, and saddened everyone shedding some tears in the process. On Tuesday’s episode of Everyday Struggle, the group watched the footage of Styles breaking down, and that, in turn, caused Joe Budden to get emotional as well. Budden has been very open and about his struggles with mental illness in the past and in the present, so it’s obvious that this struck a chord with him. Both Joe and Akademiks agree that it’s good to see such “tough” rappers shedding their hard exterior to discuss issues like this, because it can get rid of the stigma and help others going through the same thing. Styles, in the interview, sort of makes it clear that him and his wife blame themselves for not knowing that their daughter was suicidal. Joe goes off of that and emphasizes the fact that you can never really “know” when someone is struggling with a mental illness, and more people need to openly discuss it. Especially in rap.
