Stodgy? Stoic? Serious? More like… playful! Fun-loving! And totally adorable! In a pair of candid new photos, the most prominent members of Great Britain’s Royal Family aim to put to rest all rumors of them as very serious and even unusually cold and distant. See what we mean right here: This picture and the one we’ve also shared down below were snapped in the gardens of Clarence House by photographer Chris Jackson. They were released in honor of Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday on Wednesday and they include pretty much everyone: Charles, Duchess Camilla and grandkids Prince George and Princess Charlotte are on a wooden bench, comfortable and cozy. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle are standing behind them sharing a big hearty laugh… while Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton – who is cradling Prince Louis – are grinning at their side. This really could be any family on any important occasion, couldn’t it? We’ve never seen this well-known group looking so candid and relaxed before. Wrote Jackson as a message along with the images: “I’ve travelled all over the world photographing the Prince of Wales for the last 15 years from Durbars in Nigeria to the Galapagos Islands, Pakistan, Japan and many more as well as covering numerous domestic Royal Engagements so I was delighted to have been asked to take these official portraits of The Prince surrounded by his family to celebrate the important milestone of his 70th Birthday. “It was particularly special to capture such an informal and relaxed family portrait over a fun afternoon in the gardens of Clarence House.” Amidst rumors that Markle is a diva and there’s division within the Royal Ranks, these photographs could not have come out at a better time. Charles turning 70 years old has placed the once-controversial prince (the dude cheated on Princess Diana!) squarely in the spotlight for the first time in years. There’s a new documentary coming out about him and a recent screen grab from the program gave us a rare glimpse at the youngest member of his family. Hello there, Prince Louis! The Duke of Wales tries to spend as much time as he can with his grandchildren, with his wife saying in the aforementioned documentary of Charles and the young ones around him: “He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him. “He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that.” William has also said his father is “brilliant” with George, and you can kind of see how close the two are in the first two photos featured here. Of late, of course, all attention has turned from Kate and William’s kids to the growing tiny person inside of Markle. She is pregnant, in case you haven’t had an Internet connection or access to a television in many weeks. Although she and Prince Harry have not yet revealed Markle’s due date , it is widely believed that she’s expected to give birth in early May. She may even welcome her son or daughter on May 2, which is Princess Charlotte’s birthday, which would just be so darn cute all around. We’ll keep fans posted. The Royal Family Has Never Looked This Happy Before
Last month, Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis filed to amend custody of her two children following the arrest of baby daddy Thomas Ravenel. Though Thomas is facing a criminal trial , he’s also making time to fight this custody filing. Thomas is alleging that Kathryn is only making this move to get better ratings — and that Bravo put her up to it. RadarOnline got their hands on some documents from Charleston Family Court. Thomas is suing, but he’s not aiming directly at Kathryn. Instead, the disgraced former politician is suing Bravo and production company Haymaker Media, Inc. Thomas claims that they “encouraged, condoned and/or gave Plaintiff express or implied consent to initiate a lawsuit against the Third Party Plaintiff.” This suit being, of course, “for custody of Plaintiff’s and Third Party Plaintiff’s minor children.” “The Plaintiff filed and was encouraged to file this lawsuit,” Thomas’ team alleges. And they say it was done “for the express or implied purpose of providing material for the filming of Season 6 of Southern Charm. ” Thomas is trying to stop Bravo from airing any footage of Kathryn’s kids. Even though it’s a reality show and she’s their mom. “The Third Party Plaintiff requests that this Court enjoin the Third Party Defendants,” the suit says. The papers continue: “from disseminating and/or airing any Season 6 and/or otherwise unaired video footage which features the minor children.” Thomas wants no footage relating “in this matter and/or which directly or indirectly concerns the minor children, this litigation, and/or the custody dispute.” He specifies that the dispute is: “between the Plaintiff and the Third Party Plaintiff.” “And,” the papers say, he wants this footage to remain unaired on Bravo “permanently.” Thomas is also asking the court to force the defendants to pay all attorney fees. “Defendant is informed,” the suit claims. “And believes it is not coincidental that Plaintiff initiated this litigation during the filming of the next season of Southern Charm ,” the documents conclude. Kathryn Dennis is a reality star. While she’s not literally always filming, she does spend a lot of her life during periods when she’s filming. That is how the reality business usually works. Thomas should know that — he spent five years on the show that he’s now suing. If there is a special component to Kathryn’s timing, it probably has less to do with reality television. It probably has more to do with Thomas Ravenel’s arrest in September for assault and battery. The arrest stems from harrowing accusations from Nanny Dawn, one of two women who have come forward to accuse Ravenel of rape. Kathryn insisted that she was going to avoid directly commenting on the allegations at first. (She did manage to get a 50/50 custody split around that time, very quietly) But an arrest is much more difficult to gloss over for the sake of one’s shared children. Kathryn very likely seeks to limit how much her very young children are exposed to what’s sure to be a highly publicized trial. It was the month following Thomas’ arrest that Kathryn filed to amend their custody arrangement. There is doubt that Thomas’ team’s argument that Kathryn’s sinister plot to have custody of her own children is a ploy for ratings. It seems more likely that, at “worst,” she cynically figured that right now — while he’s facing trial — may be her best shot at getting custody. If Thomas ends up going to prison, she’s a shoe-in for custody anyway. But if Thomas avoids prison time or is acquitted, she may never have this good of a chance in court again. And again, how much of their father’s trial do Kensie and Saint really need to be exposed to? We’re no legal scholars, but some wonder if perhaps Thomas doesn’t believe that he has a real chance of blocking Bravo from filming. It may be that he hopes to instead plant a seed of doubt in family court about Kathryn’s intentions. If he can successfully portray his ex as an opportunistic glutton for fame, the court may be less inclined to see things Kathryn’s way. But the guy who’s about to face trial for rape is going to have an uphill battle to convince anyone that he’s the good parent. Back in 2014, Hank Baskett received a hand job from transgender model Ava London. The act of manual pleasure created a fire in Baskett’s marriage that he was unable to ever extinguish, leading to his divorce from Kendra Wilkinson about four years later. However, despite all the bad blood that has existed of late between the former spouses, Wilkinson took to Twitter on Sunday and gave her ex credit for a handful of fires he has managed to put out. And we’re talking about actual, literal, blazing hot fires here. “The kids and I are so proud of @TheHankBaskett for going out and helping put out fires around Calabasas,” Kendra wrote on both her social media accounts, adding: “He saved many homes without the people probably even knowing. Great job Hank!” Wow. We had no idea. As you’re very likely aware by now, deadly wildfires have swept across Northern and Southern California over the past few days, with the Woolsey fire devastating Malibu, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks. Two people were reportedly killed in Malibu lat Friday and nine people died in the fast-moving Camp fire in Northern California. Approximately 250,000 have fled their homes, including celebrities such as Kim Kardashian , Alyssa Milano, Gerard Butler and many others. Wilkinson and the couple’s two children (Hank Jr., 8, and Alijah, 4) are among these quarter million residents who have been forced to leave their homes as the Woolsey fire spread in numerous directions across 80,000 acres. It’s a seriously dangerous situation. Over the weekend, Wilkinson posted an Instagram video of her kids roughhousing on a hotel bed along with the caption “2 days evacuated.” She then shared another photograph of herself and Hank Jr. wearing masks due to the smoke. “Thank you to all the men and women who are out there putting their lives at risk to keep us safe,” she wrote on Friday, adding the hashtag #heroes. Wilkinson filed for divorce from Baskett in April and the process was finalized in mid-October. She’s been very emotional about the split ever since it went down (although she’s also talked about her boobs ), writing about it on Instagram back when she announced the legal break-up: “I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways. “I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because i did believe in forever, that’s why i said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way… “Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. Ever since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry back in May, the former actress has been the toast of London. In fact, you could call her the Queen of the British Empire, were it not for the fact that that title is already held by an iconic nonagenarian who doesn’t seem to keen on the idea of relinquishing it anytime soon. Of course, barring a series of violent tragedies that would make George R.R. Martin blush, Meghan will never actually be queen, as her husband is third in line for the throne. Prince William, however, will likely wear the crown one day, which means Kate Middleton will join him as one of the world’s two most visible monarchs. And if recent reports are to be believed, Kate is very much looking forward to the time when she can steal her spotlight back from Meg. Yes, the news of Meghan’s pregnancy came just a few months after her wedding, and insiders say Kate feels as though she’s been shoved to the margins. Of course, patience is Kate’s best-known virtue — she didn’t earn the nickname “Waity” for nothing — but when it comes to reclaiming her spot as the queen bee of Kensington Palace, Kate is not biding her time. Royal watchers have noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge has been attending more events, posing for more pics, and rocking more daring fashions in recent weeks. “A couple of years ago, you might have seen her being a little bit timid,” Royal expert Susan E. Kelley recently told Vanity Fair . “Now, she seems like she’s in a more take-charge position,” Kelley added. “I’m beginning to see the person who’s going to be queen emerging.” Of course, given the timing of Kate’s emboldened stance toward the media, it’s not hard to see why so many have jumped to the conclusion that she’s responding to the increased attention toward Meghan. Insiders have noted that in many ways, Meg is the ideal royal spouse, having entered the role with years of media experience and a long history of philanthropic work. British tabloids have described the relationship between Meghan and Kate as a rivalry, but that seems inaccurate. Even if Kate is stepping her game up in response to the increase in attention toward Meghan, that doesn’t mean she feels threatened by the former Suits star. Go ahed and celebrate, Internet. You finally got it right. Just a day after social media users took a look at Meghan Markle’s ensemble at Princess Eugenie’s wedding and presumed she was pregnant , the former actress and her very handsome husband confirmed the major news… … she really is pregnant! For reals! This is not a drill or another example of endless speculation. Another Royal Baby is on the way! Just ask Kensington Palace, which released the following statement on Monday morning: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.” Happy? More like downright ecstatic and amazing! As noted directly above, Markle and Harry got married on May 19 . By about May 20, nearly anyone with a pulse was wondering when they would make this exact announcement. The stars have not been shy about their desire to procreate, with many observers keeping a close eye on Markle’s fashion choices and even hairstyle ( yes, hairstyle ) to determine whether she was expecting or not. So now the wild guesses can end. And the planning stage can begin. According to a People Magazine source, Markle is 12 weeks along. This means, knock on many pieces of wood, that the Duchess is past the point where most miscarriages occur, hence her comfort with alerting the world to her status. She recently underwent a scan and is “feeling well,” this same insider says. The news comes hours after Meghan and Harry touched down in Australia for their first international tour together, meaning the pregnancy is not getting in the way (yet) of Markle fulfilling her many Royal Duties. In the couple’s very first joint interview in November of 2017 Harry evealed that the two are keen to “start a family in the near future.” Hence the rumors and all the chatter that has been following them around since. Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, issued a statement via Kensington Palace shortly after the pregnancy was confirmed, saying to the world: “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.” Markle’s father, meanwhile, is also angry that he hasn’t seen an ultrasound photo yet; while Markle’s half-sister says the baby will be “hideous and disgusting, just like his or her mother.” Just kidding about those last two reactions. For real, however, Prince William and Kate Middleton are “delighted” for the couple — as are Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the Palace says. As a final fact check: We do not Markle’s exact due date. Moreover, we do not know whether she has a little boy or girl growing inside of her. Based on the three times Middleton has been pregnant, however, we can expect to learn these pieces of information as time goes on.
