Poor Kids Jenelle and David had court dates for a few weeks, and in their downtime they took parenting classes — David also took some anger management classes. 6. Whew chile, where is Dapper Dan ?! Alessandro Michele, the Creative Director for Gucci, presented his Spring 2020 collection in Milan and while the clothes were well received, a certain accessory, less so. An anklet went down the runway but it wasn’t just any anklet. The anklet features “golden bullets” which are actually Gucci Beauty lipsticks; however, the design looks more like an ankle monitor or individuals on house arrest. For things to go into production, it often goes through several rounds of approval. The fact that this made it from in house to runway lets me know that there probably weren’t many (if any) Black people who were a part of the decision making process. While Gucci has promised to come up with new diversity and inclusion and even hired an exec for the position, if people of color are not placed in high levels throughout the organization, things like this happen. Gucci has been lucky it has not been damaging to the brand, especially when Black spending power reaches $1.2 trillion dollars. It may be in part because of their close relationship with Dapper Dan and celebrities like Beyoncé; however, for how long will their social currency protect them? Months later, she said she’s ready to date again. “I like being wined and dined,” she said when talking about what she wants in a man with Tiffany “New York” Pollard on her Brunch with Tiffany show. “I love talking. I love getting into people. I’m a foodie, you’ve got to feed me. That’s happening.” The news that Cyn was looking to get back out there was literal news to New York, who asked her about being in a high-profile relationship with Joe, which she clarified to a shocked New York that she was no longer in. The 26-year-old reality TV personality dumped her 39-year-old partner and father of her son Lexington in an effort to protect herself. “ We didn’t decide on anything. I did what was best for my mental health, my peace and for me and my son, you know what I mean? It was a decision that I had to make on my own. This wasn’t a unison thing,” she said. “How can I keep this very sweet? Basically, let’s just say that I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been and that was probably the best decision that I’ve made in my entire life. In the 26 years I have of living on this earth, the best decision I made was leaving that relationship. And my son and I are amazing.” Cyn has spoken about struggling with depression in the past, which Joe hadn’t been the most supportive about. She told him on LHHNY that he was “ dismissive as f–k ” about her feelings. It’s likely that issue, as well as their sexual incompatibility at times, led her to feel like it might be best to move on. What that means is neither one of us said it’s over.” He said instead that they “haven’t spoken in a little while” and that he “didn’t take it no way when she moved all her s–t out of the house.” In a cryptic tweet in response to a fan question about breakups around that time, Cyn made it clear that it doesn’t take two to end a relationship. “Actions speak louder than words,” she said. “People have months broken up and don’t even know it. Source: WENN / WENN Iconic African-American magazine Ebony is back in the news after former employees accuse the publication of unpaid wages and fraud. According to The Root , the historic publication is once again headed back to court after former employees claimed that they were unpaid for work, laid off unfairly and that their 401k was not company-matched per the employment agreement. The complaint, which was filed on Wednesday (Sept. 25), names Ebony Media Operations LLC; CVG Group LLC; Michael Gibson, CVG Group co-founder and chairman; and Elizabeth Burnett, vice president of operations of CVG Group, as defendants and accuses them of “betraying the magazine’s employees and readers” by “engaging in a consistent pattern and practice of laying off their staff and failing to pay them their final wages.” Additionally, Ebony is accused of failing to reimburse employees for work-related expenses or pay out their unused vacation days. The lawsuit also alleges that Ebony committed fraud by failing to match 401k contributions, in addition to failing to reimburse employees for payroll deductions that were never actually invested into 401k accounts. The lawsuit comes just one week after Linda Johnson-Rice , daughter of the magazine’s founder decided to step down effective immediately from the magazine’s board claiming that the direction of the magazine did not go according to what she had envisioned. “When I agreed to continue on with the companies after the sale to the CVG Group, I did so hopeful that the Ebony and Jet brands would continue to be a dominant and positive force in the African American community,” Johnson Rice said in the email obtained by the Chicago Tribune . “Obviously, despite my hopes, the last three years did not result in what I envisioned when the transition occurred, and because of that, I have made the decision to move on.” Although the reasoning behind the resignation is unclear, what is clear is that the publication has been having staffing and legal issues since the company was bought by Texas investment group CVG in 2016. As previously reported, in 2017 freelancers and former employees started the viral hashtag #EbonyOwes before filing a lawsuit for unpaid wages. The employees were awarded nearly $80,000 in 2018 and Ebony laid off its entire digital staff before going on a print hiatus in the Spring of this year.

Barbara Evans made $400,000 as a part-time cast member on Teen Mom last year. In a new interview with Radar Online, the polarizing mother of Jenelle Evans has plenty to say about both her own daughter and also Amber Portwood, but we felt it necessary open with this revealing tidbit. BARBARA EVANS MADE $400,000 FOR ONE SEASON OF TEEN MOM, YOU GUYS. This revelation aside (unless you still need a moment to digest it…), the crux of Barbara’s interview centered on two people and two facts: Her daughter, Jenelle, who was fired by MTV executives this spring after authorities temporarily took away her kids in the wake of David Eason murdering his family’s dog. Portwood, who remains a cast member on Teen Mom OG despite her July 5 arrest for domestic violence. In recently-released audio, we’ve learned over the past few days that Portwood seemingly beat and threatened boyfriend Andrew Glennon on numerous occasions, prompting Barbara to ask a pertinent question: How is she still a Teen Mom star?!? Moreover… how is Amber still a Teen Mom star while Jenelle is not?!? “Why should Jenelle and I lose our money, and why is MTV supporting Amber when Jenelle and I have done nothing wrong?” Barbara asks Radar . “We were on [the show] for 10 years too, and they stopped filming with us.” Adds Barbara, in total consternation: “Why is this fair? Why were we let go, and she wasn’t?” Barbara, of course, has been relevant on Teen Mom for years because she’s been serving as the guardian of Jenelle’s oldest child, Jace. She and Jenelle have had quite the contentious relationship, often arguing over both this custody arrangement and Jenelle’s past drug use, among other ways and reasons why she’s largely considered an unfit mothre. Does Barbara have a point here? Yes and no. Jenelle absolutely should have been fired for both lying about Eason attacking her last fall and then for allowing her children to grow up in a home that also houses such a violent bigoy. No one can argue with a straight face that Jenelle deserves the platform and/or salary afforded to her by MTV. Now… should Portwood also be fired? In light of her arrest and the subsequent information that has come out about this long-time star? Probably, but one really has nothing to do with the other. It’s also worth noting that Portwood almost definitely WILL be fired anyway . This, despite the following hilarious defense of Amber by an anonymous Radar source: “Amber didn’t kill a dog. And she has not been convicted of a crime.” Techically, Jenelle didn’t kill a dog, either. But point taken. Still, in the aforementioned audio recording that leaked late last week, Amber allegedly exploded at Andrew… with their toddler in the room. Hiw crime? Waking her up for an appointment at 2 p.m. “If you don’t pick him up you f-cking fat piece of sh-t I’m going to f-cking stab you,” she says. “Get your fat ass up and get him.” Yeah.
