Source: SOPA Images / Getty While T.I. continues to get dragged for his controversial parenting practice when it comes to his 18-year-old daughter , Irv Gotti sort of came to his defense during an interview with TMZ in which he revealed he too is guilty of going overboard when it came to vetting his daughter’s love life (not as bad as Tip, though). Opening up to TMZ’ s Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere about how he keeps it 1000 with his kids when it comes to the birds and the bees, Irv Gotti said he bluntly told his daughter that “Sex feels good” but added “just make sure it’s respectful.” On the other hand, Gotti went mob style when it came time to have a sitdown with her boyfriend and revealed he might’ve OD’d a bit when they had their man-to-man talk about daddy’s little girl. “It was funny because I pulled a gun out on him… But I was only joking!” Gotti said while cracking up. “But I have a great relationship with her boyfriend. She’s been with her boyfriend for like 8 years. I really like the guy.” Well, you can’t be surprised if the dude is scared to even take a break from the relationship if he knows Daddy Warbucks Gotti got the toast in the stash. While we doubt Irv will ignite the same outrage that T.I. did when he revealed he takes his daughter to the gynecologist to make sure she’s still a virgin, we’re kinda sure 50 Cent will eventually throw in his two cents on the matter. As we previously reported, Kanye West announced his candidacy for President in 2024. It’s the sort of thing that bonkers people blurt out. But he also took the time to rant and rave about not being recognized as an alleged “billionaire.” He has even threatened to legally change hiis name to something deeply ludicrous if his alleged “genius” is not recognized. On Thursday, Kanye West appeared at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York, where he spouted some very on-brand nonsense. “When people say it’s crass to call yourself a billionaire,” Kanye begins. He threatens: “I say I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West.” Kanye warns that he might do so “for a year until y’all understand exactly what it is.” As always, it’s difficult to tell exactly when Kanye is joking and when people simple wishfully want to believe that he’s joking. But Kanye sounded intent upon impressing this plan upon his audience, even saying that it would be reflected in official DMV records. “It will be on the license plate,” he told the crowd. Yes, Kanye is still bitter that his net worth is not estimated at a billion dollars by the general public or by standard economic sources. “When I did Forbes , I showed them a $890 million receipt,” Kanye complained. His rant continued, lamenting: “and they still didn’t say ‘billionaire.’” In contrast, of course, they did declare Kylie Jenner as a billionaire, officially, which increased his frustrations. In fact, Kanye — ever the fan of conspiracy theories in which he is the imagined victim — went out of his way to “They don’t want us to know that we can buy land,” Kanye tells his audience. Kanye, who has many millions of dollars, can certainly purchase land. It’s unclear why he might have ever believed otherwise. He then complains “They don’t want us to have the 100 percent ownership [that] I have at Yeezy.” It is unclear if Kanye is referring to systemic white supremacy — a very real problem — or if he believes that more consciously sinister forces are at work. As you may recall, Kanye gave a huge, meandering interview in October about his new music. He mentioned his wealth multiple times during the interview. At the time, he lamented that Kylie had been recognized as a billionaire but he had not. Instead of being happy for her success, he referred to the recognition as a ‘stab.” One of Kanye’s multiple unhinged Twitter rants came in 2016, when he asked Mark Zuckerberg — on Twitter — for one billion dollars. In recent weeks, the man soon to be known as Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West has referred to himself as a billionaire multiple times. However, here on planet Earth, in real life, Forbes estimated Kanye’s net worth to be $240 million in June, most of which comes from his Yeezy brand. That is a massive, considerable fortune. But it’s less than a billion dollars. It is also less than his wife’s fortune. Maybe he will make good on his threat to change his name to Christian Genius Billionaire. And, to be completely fair, he is definitely one of those things. His new album is even called Jesus Is King . While some of what Kanye says may be so foreign from what we know as reality that it seems funny, his claims are worrisome. We should keep him and his family in our thoughts and hope that he is one day willing to seek any help that he may need. The stars of the Teen Mom franchise receive an endless amount of flak for their parenting decisions. In many cases, this criticism is well-deserved, such as when Jenelle Evans protects David Eason against allegations that he’s abusing her children. But there are times in which the fans over-step their bounds and hurl unsolicited advice at moms who aren’t doing a damn thing wrong. Leah Messer is often on the receiving end of this sort of concern-trolling. Leah’s daughter Aliannah suffers from muscular dystrophy but most of the “advice” she receives has to do with Ali’s twin daughter, Aleeah, otherwise known as Gracie. And sadly, most of it has to do with concerns over the 9-year-old’s attire. Aleeah is a cheerleader , and photos from her competitions have attracted disturbing comments about her allegedly “age-inappropriate” attire. Earlier this week, Leah posted pics of her daughters’ Halloween costumes, and now it seems we have to relitigate this dumb “controversy” all over again. (No, we don’t know why she waited until November to post Halloween pics, but like we said, she’s got a lot on her plate.) Hilariously, the twins decided to dress as modern pop icons, while Leah’s youngest dressed as a member of the Hogwarts student body: “When they want #ArianaGrande #Beyonce andddd a #witch … Mom makes it happen,” Leah captioned the pic. And sadly, the criticism started rolling in immediately: “Aleeah looks way too grown up,” wrote one commenter . “Gracie looks 15,” another person remarked. “That girl is gonna be troubleeeee.” Yikes. Thankfully, not all of the comments were so negative: “OMG I thought the one that was Ariana Grande was dress[ed] up as you LMAO,” one person remarked. “Now they are starting to look like mini yous!” another echoed. “Gosh they have grown, so beautiful,” a third wrote. “Oh my goodness!! They look fabulous! Aleeah looks like she is grown!” remarked another fan. Obviously, the vast majority of the criticism is baseless and idiotic, and the commenters should keep that crap to themselves — especially when we could be focused on more important issues like why Leah chose to give her kids such similar names! Like it’s not confusing enough having a Leah and an Aleeah under the same roof, you have to throw and Aliannah into the mix, too?! Sorry, we just needed a brief vent session. Reunited… and it feels so good? We can’t say for certain. But it looks pretty darn good at least. On Thursday, November 7, Teresa Giudice‘s oldest daughter, 18-year old Gia, shared a photo from her and her sisters’ wildly-anticipated reunion with their dad, Joe Giudice, in Italy. As you very likely know by now, considering you’re reading this piece of celebrity gossip content, Joe has been living abroad as he awaits the ruling on his final deportation appeal. The former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member was sentenced to deportation about a year ago, close to the end of his stint in prison for bankruptcy fraud. The above snapshot marks the first time Joe has been with his entire family since his release from both jail and ICE custody. “We’re back,” wrote Gia as a caption to the family photo, which includes siblings Gabriella, 15, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 10. Off to the side, you can also see Teresa Giudice, who had previously said the future of her marriage was dependent on this visit to see Joe. Back on Octobere 27, Joe appeared in his first television interview since he was sent to the clink in March of 2016, spaeking via satellite with Teresa in a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen special. During this interview, both Teresa and Joe told Cohen they’re at a major crossroads with their marriage — and would not be making any decisions until they spent some time together in person. They claimed they hadn’t seen in each in almost four years. “I’m waiting until I get there to see if I feel differently,” Teresa said on air. “I just feel like when you live apart. … He says the same thing, when he sees me, he may not want this either. We’ll know when we see each other.” Welp. Now they’ve seen each other. So we’ll keep checking the Internet every hour going forward until we read about the inevitable divorce announcement. Both husband and wife have maintained that they still love each other, but they’ve also leveled accusations of infidelity at each other . Teresa also reiterated that she would have no choice but to divorce Joe if he is, indeed, deported. “I want to wake up with someone every single day,” Teresa said, alleging that her kids are on board. “I think they get it. I don’t think they want to see it happen, obviously, but I think they understand. Because the way I explained it to them, how are we going to live apart? “I don’t think he would be faithful. I think he would have someone there and have me here. I just don’t want to live that life.” Where does Joe stand on this topic? “If we stay together, we stay together, if we don’t, we don’t,” he said, sounding totally committed and in love. “It’s a conversation, we’ll see. … “As long as she’s happy, that’s all that really matters. I’m not going to tell her what to do. Source: WENN/ Apega / WENN Irv Gotti Defends Ashanti’s Reputation On “Wendy” Show Appearance Give Irv Gotti some credit, the Murder Inc. mogul appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” Monday to help clear up rumors started after Williams aired a recent clip of Irv and his family on “Growing Up Hip Hop: New York,” where he revealed he’d bedded his former artist Ashanti before his divorce was finalized from his ex-wife, Deb, who also appeared in the clip. Gotti addressed the situation directly with Williams live on her show, saying: “Ashanti is not a homewrecker, guys,” he went on. “Ashanti had nothing to do with me and Deb. Deb caught me when I was directing ‘I Cry’ in Baltimore. Deb, being the vicious person she is, she came down unannounced, ‘I’m Mrs. Lorenzo, give me the room key.’ The door was latched, but she knows I’m in there. That’s what broke me and Deb up.” Irv went on to say he and Deb had been separated and added that Williams didn’t want to be hypocritical seeing as how she had been out in these skreets zippin’ and zooin’ before finalizing her own divorce. He has a point. But do you think he’s done enough to clear Ashanti’s name? Or has the damage already been done? Gotti also confirmed that Ashanti was indeed a background vocalist on J.Lo’s hit song “I’m Real”: “Ashanti was a background vocalist, that’s it, period, don’t make a big thing about it,” he went on. “Yes, it was her voice, but you know how many records have background vocals? Why y’all making a big thing out of it? Ashanti wasn’t a star, she was just in the studio with me, and I was Napoleon.” The ego on this man. But is he right, in y’all’s opinion? Doing some research, I found that SmooveGal initially started with a lash line before Hulett decided to expand to shadows. I reached out to Hulett and from our phone conversation, I was super impressed with her professionalism, eye for design and utter passion for the beauty game. Here’s what the incredible marketing major had to say about her EP palette, breaking into the industry and what’s up next. HelloBeautiful: So, please tell me. Where did SmooveGal come from? Autumn Hulett: Well, I had this job in high school, but I got fired because I didn’t want to drive across town to go to work. (Laughs) But I knew I needed money. Coming from a family of hustlers, I knew how to make it work. So I started SmooveGal and initially started selling accessories and wallets. But I was also really into beauty and I love switching up my look so people don’t recognize me. At the time, I also loved wearing lashes and would go to the beauty supply store down the road and buy a pack of $1 lashes and I would end up spending $40 because they didn’t last. I was wasting my money and that’s when it hit me that I needed to create, buy and sell my lashes. HB: Well, and being at an HBCU with so many Black women, you have the perfect market right at your fingertips. AH : Exactly. Black women are the largest consumers when it comes to beauty and makeup. Plus, [a lot] of Black women are really into lashes! So I came out with my line freshman year after I got a refund check and was like, “Let’s do this!” I started dragging a big old wagon of lashes around campus, but the wagon was too small, so I googled “hot dog” cart,” bought one for $300, fixed it up and started selling my lashes out of that. HB: That is so awesome! So you went from lashes to shadows? AH: Sophomore year I was my dorm chilling and I just asked myself what if I did a pyramid palette and what If it was 3-dimensional? OH SNAP! [Laughs). So I looked around and had all of these old lash boxes and I started cutting them and began carving out the idea. I took a mirror from an old palette and started gluing, taping and cutting holes into things. From there, I tried to get it into production and I was told no a lot. Folks told me it’s impossible and that no one would be able to create it. But I found someone who could do it. HB: Walk me through the shadows and the structure. I’ve never seen anything like it before. AH: Well, there are 24 shades, with 6 colors on each of the four panels. The middle is the mirror and it can stand up on its own, be a vanity to go or just a decorative piece in your room. HB: How did you end up picking the shadows. AH: I have a lot of friends at my HBCU that are makeup artists and I asked them did they mind using my shadows on their customers. I also wanted feedback, honest feedback such as which shadows worked better than others, which were easier to blend, you name it. I didn’t want them to let up on me. If these shadows sucked, let me know. What they told me was helpful, because I needed to make sure these colors showed up on and worked for Black women. AH: While anyone can and should use the palette, it’s an ode to Black women and an ode to Egyptian culture. That mattered to me. To do the research, make sure I got it right. HB: This is such a great time to be a Black woman in beauty. From Mented to Fenty, it’s so great to see this product be part of the landscape, BUT be so different than what’s already out there. AH: Thank you. I try to stay humble because I am still a baby out here. I’m literally just someone out of Texas, an HBCU, but no one has seen this before. And God forbid Rihanna or Kylie comes out with some crazy spaceship concept, but all in all, I did this, first and I am proud of that. HB: As you should be. AH: Well…I can’t say too much other than it will be a whole stepping outside the box and that the next collection, which should come out next spring, will be related to the EP palette too. Earlier this week, the actor and comedian posted a heartfelt video to Instagram, thanking everyone for their support. More importantly though, the video showed fans the long road ahead along with a small portion of his recovery process and, to be honest, it looks just as painful as you’d imagine. But luckily, while everyone was prepared for Kevin’s situation to become a big legal mess with everyone involved lawyering up , it seems that those involved are just focused on getting back healthy and to 100%. Since the wreck, the comedian hasn’t done any interviews or spoke publicly, other than the Instagram video he posted above. At the moment, it looks like he’s focusing on getting back to work, as his upcoming project J umanji (The Next Level) dropped its first official trailer–which means it’s about time to promote.
