This weekend lots of celebrities made their way into D.C. for Howard University’s Homecoming . Dave East came through and performed at Yardfest and Lore’l jokes with him that people weren’t sure if they were looking at him or Method Man. If you haven’t seen the new Hulu series Wu-Tang: An American Saga it’s definitley a must see and Dave out did himself. He shares with Lore’l and Angie how it was preparing for this role and even how difficult it was switching back to himself after being wrapped up in this character. Get a peak of this show in the trailer below… Along with this series, Dave is also excited to have a release date for his album. Look out for his new music on November 8th! With the new album and new series, things seem to be going in a positive direction for Dave but of coarse the bliss feeling couldn’t last too long. Recently there were reports that Dave was involved in a three-some gone wrong and charged with a battery. Source: James Devaney / Getty Rihanna Stands Behind The Writer Who Interviewed Her For Vogue Rihanna is a woman of the people, so she’s not here for all of the slander Abby Aguirre–the writer behind her latest Vogue cover story–is facing. After the profile was published, the reporter was bombarded with backlash over her confession that she had gone into the interview without any questions prepared. Here’s the excerpt from the story that had everyone up in arms: ‘Normally I bring a list of questions, but I didn’t have time to prepare one, which I make a split-second decision to confess. “I’m winging it, so you have to help me,” I say nervously. Rihanna flashes a grin that is somehow both reassuring and mischievous. “Aren’t we all?” she says.’ When reading this sentence out of context, it’s easy to see why people are upset: How could you NOT be prepared for an interview with Rihanna? And better yet, why would you ADMIT that to her…and then, on top of it, publish that admission within the article?! Here’s what Aguirre had to say when the backlash initially started pouring in: GUYS. I was driving to Trader Joe's in sweatpants when I got the call and literally had to flip a bitch. I research my subjects to death. *Especially* Rihanna. I appreciate the anger behind the reaction. That’s gangster. For you to get a call the day before being like, ‘Hey, Rihanna’s in L.A., you wanna do this?’ And show up on the dime and write an incredible article that I’m really proud of and enjoyed reading? She’s badass for that.” The mogul went on to say, “If you don’t have to prepare, girl, you’re gangster.”

In the issue, which hits stands on October 16, Rih talks about everything from fashion to politics, including some choice words she has for y’alls lil president. When asked about her reactions to the recent El Paso and Dayton attacks, she said “That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist.” Rihanna continues, “Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.” Beyond her very on-point analysis of the f***ery being performed by Donald Chump each and every day, Rih also confirms in the interview that she did in fact turn down a Super Bowl halftime show opportunity out of support for Colin Kaepernick. “Absolutely, I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. Lauer was initially fired from the “Today” show in 2017 after an anonymous former NBC News employee accused him of sexual misconduct. Now, according to Variety , the full details of the complaint are coming out thanks to a new book by Ronan Farrow called “Catch and Kill.” The book covers Farrow’s investigation of Harvey Weinstein and all the hoops he had to jump through with his then-employer NBC News. One of the biggest moments in the book came when Farrow interviewed the woman who made a complaint against Lauer. She finally revealed herself to be Brooke Nevils and according to Farrow’s book, she says Lauer anally raped her in a hotel room when they were both at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Nevils says in the book that after a night of drinking at a hotel bar, she went to Lauer’s hotel room twice. She went the first time to retrieve her press pass, which Lauer had taken as a joke. She went the second time because she was invited back by Lauer. Farrow writes that Nevils “had no reason to suspect Lauer would be anything but friendly based on prior experience.” Once she was in his room, Nevils says that Lauer — who was wearing boxers and a T-shirt — pushed her against the door and kissed her. Farrow writes that he then pushed her onto the bed, “flipping her over, asking if she liked anal sex.” She said that she declined several times and “was in the midst of telling him she wasn’t interested again when he ‘just did it.’” The book continues, “Lauer, she said, didn’t use lubricant. The encounter was excruciatingly painful. ‘It hurt so bad. I remember thinking, Is this normal?’ She told me she stopped saying no, but wept silently into a pillow.” “It was nonconsensual in the sense that I was too drunk to consent,” Nevils told Farrow. “It was nonconsensual in that I said, multiple times, that I didn’t want to have anal sex.” In a letter addressing the allegations, Lauer described the night as “mutual and completely consensual.” Lauer and Nevils continued to see each other for sex when they returned to New York, but Farrow explained in his interview with Nevils, “She readily admitted that her communications with Lauer might have appeared friendly and obliging. But she also said she lived in terror of Lauer jeopardizing her career and that the encounters caused anguish and shame that eventually prompted her to break up with her boyfriend.” Apparently, Candace Owens thought this was a good moment to attack the #MeToo movement and to do her usual victim blaming. She tweeted, “ Reading Matt Lauer’s accuser’s story & it’s EVERYTHING I hate about the #metoo movement. She admits she consensually went to his hotel room but was “too drunk to consent”. PERISCOPE SOON. — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) October 9, 2019 Then, Owens went on Periscope to suggest we live in an era of “blameless women” and sexual assault victims should take responsibility when in drunk situations. She did so by ridiculously comparing her non-rape related drunk college experience with the experience of intoxicated rape victims. “I got completely blacked out. And in this Black-out spell I started screaming at my girlfriends, I mean we were away somewhere at a party and I was screaming at them and at one point, I took my shoe off and started hitting her car window.” Owens then went on to say that after this night, her two girlfriends didn’t want anything to do with her. After immense shame, she “acknowledged” that she did something to herself by drinking alcohol and apologized to her friends. What this mundane drunk night situation has to do with getting raped is beyond comprehension. Brace yourselves, folks. Thomas Markle has given yet another interview. And he’s done so in light of his daughter and her beloved husband taking their most aggressive step yet to silence their critics and put the awful British tabloids in their place. Late last week, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry filed a lawsuit against The Daily Mail . They did so due to the publication’s alleged violation of the former’s privacy after it published excerpts from a letter Meghan wrote to her father many months ago. In his very powerful statement, trashing many outlets for their treatment of his wife, Harry never specifies the letter in question — but it’s widely believed to have been a message Meghan sent Thomas last spring, shortly after she got married. Thomas, of course, is the one who allowed this letter to be released. In this message, Meghan tells her dad that he has “broken [her] heart” by giving so many interview and airing his grievances in such public fashion. So… what has Thomas now done in response to Meghan and Harry’s lawsuit? He’s once again aired his grievances in public. “I decided to release parts of the letter because of the article from Meghan’s friends in People magazine,” Thomas told the Mail on Sunday, explaining why he betrayed his daughter’s confidence. “I have to defend myself. I only released parts of the letter because other parts were so painful. The letter didn’t seem loving to me. I found it hurtful.” This all gets a little complicated, but here is what Thomas is talking about, broken down by timeline: May 2018 : Harry and Meghan get married. Thomas does not attend the wedding. May/June 2018 : Meghan sends her dad a letter that talks about the “painful attacks” against her and Harry he has made in the recent past, asking him to please keep stop doing that. Summer 2018 : a friend of Markle’s tells People Magazine that Thomas requested a “photo op” with Meghan after receiving her letter, which was the “opposite” of what Meghan was hoping he would do or say. Early 2019 : Thomas releases Meghan’s letter to the press. And now? Thomas is saying that this People Magazine article is what set him off and gave him no choice but to expose his child’s heartfelt plea to the world. “I don’t recognize the person who wrote the letter but I still love my daughter,” Thomas told The Mail on Sunday, adding: “All it would take is one phone call and most of this craziness would stop.” And we’re sure Thomas will get it after going to the very same outlet to which he released Meghan’s letter several months ago. No doubt. The Mail on Sunday reported that Thomas is also upset by false claims that he requested and received payment for releasing parts of the letter. The outlet stated that no payment was requested or given for their article on Saturday. Meghan and Harry’s law firm released a statement last week saying the following: “We have initiated legal proceedings against the Mail on Sunday, and its parent company Associated Newspapers, over the intrusive and unlawful publication of a private letter written by the Duchess of Sussex, which is part of a campaign by this media group to publish false and deliberately derogatory stories about her, as well as her husband. “Given the refusal of Associated Newspapers to resolve this issue satisfactorily, we have issued proceedings to redress this breach of privacy, infringement of copyright and the aforementioned media agenda.” In a rare move, Harry also spoke out on this topic: “The contents of a private letter were published unlawfully in an intentionally destructive manner to manipulate you, the reader, and further the divisive agenda of the media group in question. In addition to their unlawful publication of this private document, they purposely misled you by strategically omitting select paragraphs, specific sentences, and even singular words to mask the lies they had perpetuated for over a year. A spokesperson for The Mail on Sunday later told E! Travis Scott has been here before. Observers doubted his feelings for Kylie Jenner back when the rapper and reality star began dating. Then, just this past February, rumors of Scott cheating on Kylie grew so strong that the artist canceled a show simply to return home and deny the allegations to his girlfriend in person. So, yes, here we are again. This time, however, Scott is not sitting out and letting the public ruin his reputation. Three days after Travis and Kylie decided to take a break from their relationship, the former has come out and denied all talk of his disloyalty. “It’s really affecting when u see false things said about u once again these false stories about me cheating are just simply not true,” Scott wrote on his Instagram Story Friday, adding: “Focusing on life, music, and family at this moment is what’s real.” Scott isn’t the only person involved in this situation to have spoken out strongly about it. After news of Jenner and Scott’s break-up went viral earlier this week, an allegation started circulating online that Scott had been involved with a woman named Rojean Kar , who goes by YungSweetRo on Instagram. This heretofore unheard of person said the following in response on her own Instagram Story yesterday: “None of these rumors are true, it’s just the internet creating a false narrative. Please stop spreading lies & leave him, her & I alone because it’s affecting real lives. Thank you.” Kylie, meanwhile, has also made two things clear , as you can see in the Tweet down below: 1. She still loves Scott. 2. She absolutely did not go on a date this week with ex-boyfriend Tyga. “Travis and I are on great terms,” Jenner Tweeted this week. “Our main focus right now is Stormi. Our friendship and our daughter is priority.” As for what led to the split? A source previously explained to People Magazine that Kylie would actually love to have a second child in the near future, but Scott is too focused on his career at the moment. That’s actually a pretty normal and understandable reason for a split, if true. Travis Scott has the above to say about all those pesky cheating rumors. Is this really the end, though? Most outlets seem to say otherwise. “They are taking some time but not done,” said a different People source. “They still have some trust issues but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles.” And this is how an E! News insider sums things up for now: “Kylie is young, but she really wants the traditional family life. She has seen her older sisters with big families and multiple kids and she wants the same. “She loved being at home with Travis and their daughter Stormi Webster more than anything.
