Source: Kevin C. Cox / Getty One of the surest ways to catch a fade in the streets and abroad is to talk about another person’s mother. Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley didn’t get quite get to edge up a Dallas Mavericks fan who allegedly threw a shot at his mom, but he did toss a ball at the man’s family jewels. ESPN reports : Beverley said the fan twice told him, “F— your mother,” and that led to his reaction and ejection with 9:10 remaining in the Clippers’ 114-100 loss. “I told the referee, I told the security,” Beverley told reporters. “I mean, I’ve never gotten ejected out of a game since I’ve been in the NBA. You know, I play hard, I play within the lines, of course. I play within the rules, of course. I’ve never been ejected in my career in the NBA, but I’m a grown man. I have morals. Of course, God is first, family is second for me, and I stand firmly behind that. “I just, I can accept the ‘F— you, Beverley,’ the ‘F— you, Pat,’ but out of the lines of my mother, anybody who knows me, man, knows I’m a family-first guy, and there’s some things that are unacceptable. After I told the refs, I told security, the Dallas security, told both of them and again, he said it again. So if no one going to control fans, what are we supposed to do as players?” The fan sitting courtside in question is Don Knobler, best known for his over-the-top fashion getups during games. Apparently, Knobler admitted to jawing it out with Beverley and even seemed to cop to saying something about the player’s mother, but the NBA hasn’t taken any action towards Knobler as of yet. — Photo: Getty

Photo by: Will Heath/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Lil Wayne Performs Two New Tracks For Saturday Night Live Lil Wayne was the musical guest on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live , and he definitely did not disappoint with his performances. The hip-hop legend brought Halsey along for the ride for a beautiful performance of “Can’t Be Broken,” and of course, it wouldn’t be right for Wayne to perform “Uproar” without Swizz Beatz. Check out both performances below:
Source: Erika Goldring / Getty The A3C Festival concluded on Sunday (Oct. 7) but certainly not on the highest of notes. Lil Wayne ‘s headlining closing set was abruptly ended after chatter of gunshots or a gunman spread around the packed festival grounds in Atlanta. Local outlet WXIA reports: According to reports, Lil Wayne was about 5 songs into his set when pandemonium broke out. The performance served as a kind of comeback for Lil Wayne – his first since the release of “Tha Carter Five” in September. The rapper tweeted his well-wishes to concertgoers. But one man said everything was going fine until Lil Wayne hit the stage. “You have five different nationally-ranked artists perform – no problems,” he said. “Soon as this artist, the top-biller, Lil Wayne got on the stage, three or 4 minutes it start busting.” The mention of gunshots sent many attendees scrambling and some were injured in the process. Hip-Hop Wired was on the grounds of the Georgia Freight Depot but vacated before the ensuing stampede took place. According to research we’ve done with our contacts on the ground, there were no gunshots heard but the false alarm was enough to set folks into a panic. A3C organizers tweeted out a statement, which can be read below and right under Lil Wayne’s well-wishing tweet. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images) Lil Wayne And His Boys Do The #Uproar Challenge How precious! Lil Wayne just had a spectacular weekend. The rap giant just released his much anticipated album “The Carter 5” on friday and already is breaking streaming records. Reportedly, Weezy is expected to debut at number 1 on Billboard, but we will have to wait a few more days to see. In celebration, Wayne and his kiddos made an adorable dance video to one of the popular tracks on C5, “Uproar”, produced by Swizz Beatz. In the clip papa Weezy shared to IG, his sons with Nivea and Lauren London are seen dancing along in what looks like their father’s closet. Hit play. Nivea shared a video clip too of her baby and his family having fun. Dope!
Source: Kevin Winter / Getty Lil Wayne fans have been waiting years for Tha Carter V to drop, and he finally gave them all what they’ve been wanting on Thursday night. As promised, Weezy released C5 on the night of his birthday, which pretty much added to the anticipation of the already highly anticipated album. If fans weren’t thirsty for it before, they were dehydrated earlier this week when Wayne added fuel to the fire and teased the album release date in an impromptu video he put out. Thank goodness he delivered; and the 23-track body of work has everyone and their mama talking about Wayne like it’s 2008. Die hard Weezy fans are just hype to get new music from their GOAT: if Carter V is trash we not admitting to it. idc. — Levi (@CountyBoySavage) September 27, 2018 Everyone else is just glad the wait is over, for sanity’s sake”. One young lady even tweeted , “I’m glad Carter V finally dropped so y’all can quit begging” C5 has been out for less than twelve hours and some folks all already calling it one of Weezy’s best: “Carter V is Everything!!! Don’t ever say Wayne ain’t the Best!!” – @1Goal1Dream “I’m finding it hard to pick a favorite on the Carter V. I swear everything is so goooood” .- @dee_sackey “Yall can say Carter V ain’t hittin if you want to be we all know the truth so cut it out” – @Slim_theGoat While others are on the fence: “After one listen I liked maybe 3 songs on that Carter V. I’ll have to run it back again and see if that improves but I doubt it.” – @LukeJamesBGN “I think people are hyped Tha Carter V finally dropped & it’s clouding their judgement ” – @893CP “Listened to the Carter V.. wasn’t moved” – @32assist “3 songs in and tha carter V is already trash… lil Wayne will never be the same smh” – @mpuggzz So many things have held up the release of C5 over the years that it seems like some folks are just love that it’s out, and don’t love the actual music itself. First, Wayne had to fight and makeup with Birdman over money discrepancies. He once tweeted about C5 being shelved indefinitely, writing, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity.” Then he had beef with Young Thug who went on to name his album Barter 6 – a play on Wayne’s “Tha Carter” discography. And Weezy was battling health issues , regarding his seizures and multiple stints in the hospital. But fortunately for him — and us — that Wayne train hasn’t stopped and he’s getting some of his flowers while he’s still here. Fresh off the release of his special album, Weezy will also be honored at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards. Image via Scott Legato/Getty Images for Live Nation/Erika Goldring/Getty Images Lil Wayne Adds Post Malone To ‘The Carter V’ Lil’ Wayne’s long anticipated album The Carter V is set to drop at 9pm tonight. According to TMZ, rapper (?) Post Malone will be featured on at track after getting a last minute call from Weezy F. himself. It’s said that Wayne called Post earlier this week and the dirty-lookin’ rap singer hauled his dusty azz to the studio to knock out his part. Posty JUST finished his part last night and his vocals are currently being mixed for tonight’s release. The fact the Post is being added so late into the process suggests that although Wayne is releasing music that has been sitting for years, he wants to add some new life to them. Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe that’s a bad thing. Guess we’ll find out in a few hours. Are you looking forward to Wayne’s album tonight?
