Since her foray into the legal system, Kim has advocated on behalf of former inmates Alice Marie Johnson , Momolu Stewart, and Matthew Charles, all of whom were released after serving lengthy prison sentences. Now, she’s setting her sights on Rodney Reed. Late Friday night, Kardashian tweeted about watching the forthcoming film Just Mercy , starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. After watching the movie, she was inspired to further look into a case she’s been reading about for the last week. On October 10 and 11, Reed’s story was featured on Dr. Phil’s two-part series about the controversial case. A Change.org petition has also been launched, which has since garnered nearly 70,000 signatures. Hopefully, the extra attention gained from Kim K’s call out will be enough to get this man free, or at the very least, a free trial.

Using this as an opportunity to share a small glimpse at his new baby is smart, given that Ryan probably wanted as many eyes to see it as humanly possible in an effort to get the word out. Not only that, but this serves as a gender reveal of sorts, too. The family hasn’t officially announced their newborn’s sex just yet, but from Ryan’s caption it’s safe to assume that these two are now parents to three girls. Congrats to the happy couple on their growing family!

Source: Taylor Hill / Getty James Franco Sued For Alleged Sexual Exploitation Actor James Franco is being sued over sexual misconduct that allegedly occurred at his acting school , Studio 4. According to the reports from The New York Times , Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal have both filed a lawsuit against Franco along with his business partner Vince Jolivette, accusing the men of sexually exploiting students at the now defunct school. In the suit, Franco and Jolivette’s Rabbit Bandini Productions company is also listed as a defendant along with the company’s general manager Jay Davis. Tither-Kaplan and Gaal are former students of the school, which shut down completely in 2017. In the suit, they say that Franco and his partners “engaged in widespread inappropriate and sexually charged behavior towards female students by sexualizing their power as a teacher and an employer by dangling the opportunity for roles in their projects.” The women go on to explain that they joined the Los Angeles branch of Studio 4 in 2014, paying approximately $300 in monthly tuition. The plaintiffs claim the school also offered additional classes, which included a $750 master class for sex scenes, specifically. According to the lawsuit, any students who were interested in taking the sex scene class were required to submit an audition tape for Franco to review; which also required students to forfeit their rights to the footage. In the lawsuit, Gaal claims she auditioned for the master class, but ended up being denied entry after she expressed some uneasiness. Tither-Kaplan, on the other hand, said she ultimately took the class, which actually led to several roles in Franco’s independent films. In these roles she said she was often asked to appear in nude scenes or sex scenes. During the making of an orgy scene for one of his films, Franco went as far as removing plastic guards that covered other actresses’ vaginas while he simulated oral sex on them, according to the lawsuit. This is not the first time we’re hearing of these accusations about Franco from Tither-Kaplan. She previously spoke about her experiences at Studio 4 in a 2018 article in the Los Angeles Times . She also took to Twitter to blast James Franco for sporting a Times Up pin at the 2018 Golden Globes ceremony, given his own actions behind-the-scenes. I have to do that to maintain my well being, ” he said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert . “… The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate. But I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So, I don’t want to shut them down in any way … If I have done something wrong. I will fix it. I have to.” Now, after filing the lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Tither-Kaplan told the Times she hasn’t spoken to Franco in two years and that he has yet to make amends. Tither-Kaplan and Gaal are seeking monetary damages along with the return or destruction of any video recordings submitted by former Studio 4 students. The plaintiffs are also seeking “class-action status so other women who may have similar histories with the defendants can join in the suit.”

According to CNN , Guygyer has been found guilty as hell of the murder of Botham Jean after the jury deliberated for less than 24 hours. It was THAT open-and-shut. As many of you know, Guyger was indicted last year after she “accidentally” walked into Jean’s apartment “mistaking” it for hers. Upon sight of the man, Guyger fatally shot him with her service weapon. Jurors could have simply found the former Dallas cop guilty of the lesser manslaughter charge, but they got it right. This was a conscious killing that could have EASILY been avoided. Amber Guyger is now facing life in prison. In a recent interview with the New York Times — which ran accompanied by an extract from his forthcoming memoir Over the Top– Van Ness opens up about being diagnosed at the age of 25. After fainting at work, Jonathan visited Planned Parenthood, which is where he found out he had HIV. Even though there are currently more than one million people living with HIV in the United States, the stigma surrounding it is still very real. After revealing his own diagnosis, Van Ness recalled his reluctance to discuss his status once his career launched him onto millions of TV screens. “When Queer Eye came out, it was really difficult because I was like, ‘Do I want to talk about my status?’ And then I was like, ‘The Trump administration has done everything they can do to have the stigmatization of the LGBT community thrive around me.’” Jonathan also goes on to speak openly about his experiences as an addict and a sexual abuse survivor. “It’s hard for me to be as open as I want to be when there are certain things I haven’t shared publicly,” he said. “These are all difficult subjects to talk about on a makeover show about hair and makeup. That doesn’t mean Queer Eye is less valid, but I want people to realize you’re never too broken to be fixed.” After revealing such personal details about his life, Van Ness has been bombarded with support from friends, fellow celebrities, and fans who watch him on TV every week. He shared a photo to Instagram following the headlines about his HIV diagnosis thanking everyone for their support.
