Jeremy Roloff Undergoes Surgery, Vows to Live Healthier Lifestyle

Jeremy Roloff has shared some surprising news with fans. And also some concerning news. The former Little People, Big World star took to Instagram late this week and informed followers of the following piece of information: He very recently underwent surgery. On Saturday, the 29-year old explained what happened, why it happened — and how he’s making changes to ensure it never happens again. “Yesterday I had my first surgery. Inguinal hernia surgery. “I’ve had a hernia for the past few years, but thought I could live with it in order to avoid surgery, so I ignored it.” Yiikes, huh? We don’t recall Jeremy having ever touched on such an issue before. He continued with his update by providing a lot more information. To wit: “Over the last several months I’ve been having some increasing health concerns, specifically severe lower back pain and chronic shoulder pain.  “I’ve come to realize that I’ve been subconsciously protecting my hernia with poor posture and lack of core strength.” The host of a podcast and the author of a memoir, Jeremy went on to say that he isn’t in peak physical condition. This has a lot to do with how he’s been feeling, too. “I’ve pretty much eliminated all physical exercise too which has increased the problem because of muscle loss which has me walking weird as well,” he wrote online, adding: I’ve been ignoring my health and it all came to a head when just a few days ago I threw out my back after sneezing. Embarrassing, right? Roloff is expecting his second child with wife Audrey in January. So it’s imperative that he gets back on his feet in order to help with his growing family, especially once the newborn arrives. “All said, I’m considering this a turn in my health journey,” Roloff concluded. “I have a goal to be in the best shape of my life by 32. Health is something that needs continual attention or else it unnoticeably fades – like most things in life. Time to put some attention back on personal health!” For those interested, a hernia occurs when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue that holds it in place, per the Cleveland Clinic. For men, the inguinal canal is a passageway for the spermatic cord and blood vessels leading to the testicles. The injury can be very painful if left untreated, as Jeremy just found out. We’re glad he’ll soon be back on his feet, though, and ready to help with precious baby number-two. Jeremy and Audrey announced that they are expanding their family in July … and revealed it would be a baby boy in August. ”We’re so excited!” Roloff wrote on Instagram for the gender reveal, which featured footage of the former reality stars finding out it was a boy via blue-colored smoke. “We are surprised and can’t wait to be a family of four,” Audrey captioned her own video. SMH: Former Ohio Cheerleader Found Not Guilty Of Murdering And Burying Newborn Daughter

Source: Momorad / Getty Former Ohio Teenager Acquitted On Charges Of Murdering Her Newborn baby 20-year old Brooke Skylar Richardson was found not guilty on Friday after being accused of killing her newborn baby and burying her in the backyard. The former Ohio cheerleader was acquitted on three serious charges, including aggravated murder and involuntary manslaughter — however, the jury did find her guilty of gross abuse of a corpse which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. According to reports , the defense team argued during the trial that Richardson, who was a high school cheerleader at the time, was scared because the baby, which she named Annabelle, was stillborn. Meanwhile, prosecutors suggested that Richardson killed her baby and then buried the body in the backyard of her family’s home in Carlisle, Ohio days after her high school prom because she did not want to “ruin her perfect life”. Assistant prosecutor Steven Knippen said in court: “Shortly, after murdering her daughter and placing her daughter in the dirt, and not even having the decency to cover it with a blanket, she sent two elated text messages: My belly is back, my belly is back.” The shocking verdict came after an eight-day trial during which jurors had to decide whether Richardson was just a frightened 17-year old who experienced a stillbirth or “a cold-blooded murderer”; and they chose the latter. The young defendant was sentenced to three years of basic supervision but will serve no more jail time. As part of the sentence she was set to spend seven days in the county jail, but Warren County Judge Donald Oda II credited her with time already served. Meanwhile, there are women of color sitting in jail for crimes they actually didn’t do. SMH. This story totally reeks of White privilege.

Tyler Skaggs: Baseball Player’s Cause of Death Revealed; Family Blames Team

Back in July, baseball fans were stunned by the death of Tyler Skaggs , a 27-year-old pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels. Now, medical examiners in Los Angeles county have released the results of toxicology testing that points to the cause of Skaggs’ death. According to the official coroner’s report, Skaggs passed away due to a combination “alcohol, fentanyl and oxycodone intoxication with terminal aspiration of gastric contents.” It appears that after a night in which he ingested several intoxicating substances, Skaggs choked on his own vomit while unconscious. Now, in a shocking turn of events, the Skaggs family has revealed that they intend to take legal action, as they believe an employee of the Angels is directly responsible for Tyler’s passing: “We are heartbroken to learn that the passing of our beloved Tyler was the result of a combination of dangerous drugs and alcohol,” the statement said.  “That is completely out of character for someone who worked so hard to become a Major League baseball player and had a very promising future in the game he loved so much,” it continued. “We are grateful for the work of the detectives in the Southlake Police Department and their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Tyler’s death. We were shocked to learn that it may involve an employee of the Los Angeles Angels,” the grieving family added. “We will not rest until we learn the truth about how Tyler came into possession of these narcotics, including who supplied them. To that end, we have hired attorney Rusty Hardin to assist us.” This is the first time the family has publicly suggested the possibility of taking action against the Angels.  In his own statement, attorney Hardin stated that it’s “way too early” to speculate on any potential legal action by Skaggs’ loved ones. “I think the thing to keep in mind is they’re just still so devastated, both the wife and the family, about this young man’s death, and they just want to know what happened and how it happened,” Hardin told the Los Angeles Times. “We’re going to want to know how it came about that those drugs were ingested and whether or not others are responsible for what happened.” The Angels have yet to publicly respond to the allegations and have issued no official statement on Skagg’s passing since their initial press release: “It is with great sorrow that we report Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier today in Texas,” the team said at the time. “Tyler has, and always will be, an important part of the Angels family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time.” We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available. Valerie Harper Dies; Beloved TV Star Was 80

The televisionw world is in mourning. Valerie Harper, a veteran actress best known for having played one of TV’s most popular and enduring characters died on Friday after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. Harper enjoyed a long and highly respected acting career. However, she will forever be remembered for taking on the role of the constantly dating, constantly dieting Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler  Moore Show. Her passing was confirmed late Friday via statement on behalf of the late star’s husband, Tony Cacciotti: It read as follows: “My dad has asked me to pass on this message: ‘My beautiful caring wife of nearly 40 years has passed away at 10:06am, after years of fighting cancer. “She will never, ever be forgotten. Rest In Peace, mia Valeria. -Anthony.” Harper had been dealing with a number of health issues over the past few years, including leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, lung cancer and brain cancer. On July 8, just about two months before she died, a family friend set up a GoFundMe page titled “The Valerie Harper Cancer Support Fund.” It was meant to assist Harper with her daily “unrelenting medical costs” so that she would receive “the best care possible.” Within the first week, the campaign had raised over $40,000 from friends, family and many of Harper’s long-time fans and supporters. Back in 2013, the actress was given a mere three months to live after being diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, an extremely rare condition in which cancer cells spread to the membranes surrounding the brain. And yet: She defied the odds after undergoing chemotherapy treatments, even competing on Dancing With the Stars later that same year. Incredibly. “People are saying, ‘She’s on her way to death and quickly,’” she told Fox News in September of 2017. “Now it’s five years instead of three months.” Harper debuted in her iconic role the kooky neighbor from New York on The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1970. She won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress that same year, despite the comedy struggling in the ratings at first. From 1974 through 1978, she anchored the spin-off Rhoda, later winning the Best Actress Emmy. When this character got married on October 28, 1974, the special hour-long episode destroyed ratings records with 52 million viewers. The actress also starred on Valerie (also titled Valerie’s Family and The Hogan Family), in addition to films such as Freebie and the Bean and Chapter Two. She earned a Tony Award nomination in 2010 for her performance as Tallulah Bankhead in Looped. Harper is survived by Tony, whom she married in 1987, and their daughter, Cristina. May she rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam

Steven Frend and Olga Koshimbetova, 90 Day Fiance Stars, Break Major Marriage News

They’ve had their ups… and their downs… but now they are legally bound to each other. For all of eternity. Indeed: Late Friday, Olga Koshimbetova took to Instagram to break the majoe news that she and Steven Frend are now husband and wife. Yes, folks, the 90 Day Fiance stars just got married! Koshimbetova took to her official social media account on Friday to confirm she and her boyfriend of more than two years exchanged vows in a courthouse ceremony in Maryland. “30.08.2019 we are officially husband and wife,” the TLC personality captioned the above selfie of her, Steven and their son Aleksandr “Alex” Frend. It’s been quite a journey for these two, that’s for certain. Viewers were introduced to Steven and Olga on Season 6 of the aforementioned TLC series, which chronicled the couple as they navigated the challenging nature of their long-distance relationship. After Koshimbetova returned to her native Russia with their newborn baby, she kept Instagram followers up to date as Steven traveled thousands of miles for their family to reunite while awaiting the completion of her K-1 visa process. You can see a photo of him reuniting with Olga HERE . Just a few months ago, Olga received approval and returned to the United States with baby Alex for good. It’s rare, of course, for any couple that met via 90 Day Fiance to make it anywhere near a wedding aisle. But Steven and Olga never really left much doubt that their love was real. In June, they celebrated their two-year anniversary with Koshimbetova posting a snapshot of her family online and writing: “Time flies so fast that two years have passed since our meeting. We have already went through a lot of things, but this is only the beginning of our adventure with you, get ready babe.” There was a point where tension between Steven and Olga reached its troubling peak when Steven confessed that he hadn’t filed paperwork to bring Olga to America, even threatening to take their child to America without her. In the end, of course, he did not do so. That was then, though. Now? Now that the two are living in the same country again? All appears very well. Steven recently shared how much having his family together in the United States has meant to him. “Ever since my family has arrived I have never felt more alive!” he wrote this summer. The star added that he’s trying hard to improve himself and “learning to be a father as well as a supportive partner.” CONGRATS TO THE NEWLYWEDS!

Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert: Our Son’s Sudden Birth Was TERRIFYING

Earlier this week, Jade Roper welcomed baby #2 with Tanner Tolbert … in an accidental home birth that no one expected. Fortunately, mother and newborn son are doing just fine. The pair of them are now opening up about how the lightning fast labor took them by surprise and how it all went down. “I was just sitting on the couch,” Jade Roper tells Entertainment Tonight . “I’ve been having labor pains for weeks so I didn’t think anything of it,” “Then I felt this pop,” she describes. “And my water broke.” “So we called my midwife,” Jade continues. “We were timing my contractions.” “They were six minutes apart,” she reveals. “So I knew it was going to be quick…” Tanner then interjects: “But not this quick!” “The midwife was, like, watch the time, just don’t have the baby in the car.” Jade recounts. “She was, like, joking around.” “I got in the bath just to relax,” she explains. “And we were going to go to the hospital.” Relaxation is important, but perhaps she should have skipped that step. Or perhaps it was already too late. “And all of a sudden it was just like, the labor contractions just sped up and got so intense,” Jade shares. “I remember walking by the mirror and looking at my face and just the change of my body, the way it looked,” she describes. “I was like, this is serious.” “The moment I realized that we weren’t going to make it to the hospital, I was, like, screaming,” Jade confesses. “It took my pain to a whole other level,” she explains. “Because it became fear.” That is very understandable. People give birth in hospitals for more than just that (very good) epidural. So much can go wrong; you want doctors on hand. Jade continues: “He’s like, ‘We need to get you down the stairs,’ and I was like, ‘This is not contractions anymore. I need to push. He’s coming,'” Jade cannot emphasie enough how quickly her childbirth process was. “30, 40 minutes after the water broke,” she shares. “Insanely fast.”  “We were all in the closet, I’m, like, hunched over clenching this bench,” Jade describes. At the same time, she shares: “Tanner’s calling 911 and they got there in six minutes.” “They got there so fast,” Jade marvels. “And then two minutes after they got there, he came out.” Following the birth, they did of course go to the hospital to get the newborn checked out and weighed. Then, hours later, they returned home. She very clearly did not have trouble bonding with the baby. “I feel like he’s just always been a part of our family,” Jade expresses. “It makes so much sense,” “The love really does just expand,” she characterizes. Emme, their daughter, is almost two years old. “She’s been great,” Tanner praises. “She’s given him little kisses and been real gentle.” “I’m not sure she understands that we’re keeping this baby,” he admits. “Like,” Tanner explains. “He’s gonna be here every day for the rest of her life.” “But,” he continues. “She’s been great with him so far.” So what fate befell the walk-in closet where Jade squeezed a tiny human being into the world? “It’s actually in really good shape,” Tanner reveals. “My mom stayed home and cleaned up a little bit,” he shares. “But it was surprisingly clean in there.” “I was worried for my shoes because Jade decided to give birth on my side of the closet,” Tanner says. “Because she didn’t want to mess up her own things.” “But the closet’s in good shape,” he notes. “Yeah, somehow a whole white closet is intact,” Jade chimes in. “I don’t know how.” The couple has yet to name Baby #2, but have joked about a Bachelor-related name — perhaps even “Harrison.” View Slideshow: Bachelor Baby Boom: The Births of a Reality Show Nation

Jade Roper Welcomes Baby Boy … in Accidental Home Birth!

Back in January, the Bachelor Nation was overjoyed to hear that Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert were expecting Baby #2 . Now, the happy couple has welcomed baby #2 — a beautiful newborn boy. But there’s a twist, because they never made it to the hospital, and Jade ended up giving bitrth at home … in the master bedroom’s closet. “I accidentally gave birth at home last night,” Jade revealed on Instagram on Tuesday. “In our master closet.” “I’ve been still processing the shock of this all,” she admitted. Jade clarified: “as this was not all at what I had planned.” “But,” she noted. “I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely.” Along with her caption, Jade included a very candid photo from the scene. “I’ll share my whole birth story soon,” Jade promised her fans and followers. “But long story short,” she wrote. “My waters broke.” “And 75 minutes later,” Jade continued. “I gave birth to our healthy baby boy.” That is an exceptionall short labor! She wrote that she delivered her son “while clutching a bench in our closet.” “It was one of the scariest moments of my life,” Jade admitted. She then went on to explain that it was so frightening “because I felt so out of control.” Of course! Childbirth can be frightening under the best of circumstances. “But Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom, and the medics and firefighters kept me going,” Jade gushed. She praised them for staying by her side “when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.” “I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first,” Jade told her fans and followers. You know, the classic shots of the mom with her newborn resting on her chest, or of the newborn in a cradle. “But,” she explains of the chaotic closet photo. “This felt right to me.” “So incredibly grateful for the support system we had,” Jade expressed. “And for this beautiful boy,” she concluded. “I get to hold in my arms.” Countless comments poured in after Jade shared her stressful story and her good news. Chris Harrison himself commented: “Now that’s the most dramatic delivery ever.” Lauren Burnham gushed: “Dang woman, you are amazing. Congratulations on your baby boy!” Speaking of Lauren Bs, Lauren Bushnell wrote: “Oh my goodness!!!!! Glad you and baby are ok!!!” “Wow!!!! You are a superhero girl!!!!!! Congratulations!!!” raved Vanessa Grimaldi. Pregnancy is a complicated thing. Due dates and delivery times can be difficult or even impossible to accurately predict. Labor often lasts several hours. For some, that means a full day of agony. For others, as was clearly the case with Jade, labor can come and go in less time than it takes to watch a movie. Having a solid plan to get to the hospital to give birth is a great idea, but it’s important for couples to realize that they can’t plan for everything. Childbirth can and will throw you for a loop.
