Cardi B Pays Tribute To Mac Miller & Family After Beating Him For Best Rap Album!

Cardi B paid her respects to Mac Miller after beating him for Best Rap Album Sunday night at the Grammys.  Which is surprisingly the only category the late rapper has ever been nominated in.  Cardi won her first Grammy for Invasion of Privacy a nd even though Mac was not mentioned in her acceptance speech, she made sure to send him and his family some love later on backstage.  After Cardi beat out her male competition – Mac Miller, Travis Scott, Pusha T, and Nipsey Hustle – she filmed a video of her giving a shout out to Mac and his family, who was invited to the award show in hopes of a win.  “I read an article that Mac Miller’s family said that if he don’t win, they want me to win, so I’m sharing this Grammy with you, motherf-ker! Rest in Peace!” Cardi yelled in a video while celebrating the win.  Cardi B: Shout Out to Mac Miller! She also posted a screenshot of the article, published by Us Weekly,  captioning the photo “WE WON A F-KIN GRAMMY.” But, before these shout-outs were made, Ariana Grande tweeted and deleted some shade at Cardi when she saw her late ex-boyfriend’s Grammy loss live from her couch .  Tweeting “trash, f-ck, and literal bullsh-t.” She also posted a response to a fan that said “THEY INVITED HIS PARENTS OUT. NO.”  Following the online backlash, Ari replied saying “Nothing to do with her. good for her. i promise.” But after Cardi’s social media tribute, the 7 Rings singer chilled out and even commented six black heart emojis on her post.  At the end of the day, it was a big night for both artists who got to celebrate their first Grammy win. Especially for Cardi, who made history at the 61st annual Grammy awards as she walked out as the first female solo winner to take home the award for Best Rap Album.  Which was well deserved after seven past nominations.  The I Like It singer was living her best life even before her win as she strutted the red carpet in her vintage Mulger alongside yep, cheating husband Offset, who abrasively invaded her spotlight all night long.  The two were sharing all kinds of PDA throughout the night and he even joined her on stage while she accepted her award, hand-in-hand. It was a lot.  I think it is safe to say the couple is definitely back on .  And they even touched tongues on the red carpet just to prove it.  Cardi also performed her latest single “Money” where she wore a catsuit and showed off her flexibility skills while humping twerking on a piano.  Take our money, Cardi! You were #thriving at the 2019 Grammys.  View Slideshow: Offset Lavishes Cardi B with Ridiculously Expensive Christmas Gifts

Ariana Grande Calls "Literal Bullsh-t" on Mac Miller Grammy Loss

Ariana Grande did not attend the 2019 Grammy Awards . As previously detailed, the popular pop star got into a beef with producers over her planned performance, eventually canceling it altogether and skipping the ceremony completely. But while Grande wasn’t in attendance on Sunday night, she clearly tuned in to the event at home. And, boy, was she angry about it! Grande live-Tweeted a significant portion of the telecast. After winning Best Pop Vocal Album for “Sweetener,” for example, Ariana wrote: “I know I’m not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things, but f-ck. “This is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much.” She also thanked her collaborators and professional partners, as you can see below: However, Grande’s good mood didn’t last. When it came to the Best Rap Album category, Grande expressed her extreme frustration at Cardi B taking home the top prize over her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. Especially because the Recording Academy had invited Miller’s grieving parents to attend the show. “Trash. F-ck. Bullsh-t. Literal bullsh-t,” Grande Tweeted in response to this result, quickly clarifying that she did not mean to throw any shade at Cardi B: “Nothing to do w her. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry,” she wrote. The singer went on to explain that she was upset on behalf of Miller’s family, who flew out to Los Angeles specifically for the Grammys. “Y’all invited Mac’s parents out and you didn’t give him an award are y’all DUMB? @RecordingAcademy,” a fan tweeted, to which Grande replied: “This. this is what i meant. karen was gonna have a green suit made.” Grande eventually deleted all Tweets related to Miller’s loss. Miller tragically passed away from a drug overdose in September of 2018. He and Grande dated for about two years and only broke up a few months before he died. For whatever it’s worth, Miller  was  honored during the In Memoriam segment of the show.  Last Thursday, meanwhile, Grande blased Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich for saying that Ariana couldn’t perform at the event because she didn’t have time to “pull together” a set. Sources have said Ariana was actually pissed that producers told her NOT to sing the track “7 Rings” due to some plagirism rumors surrounding the hit. “I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me,” Grande fired back on Twitter, adding: “I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. “it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.” She added: “I offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. “it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.”

Ariana Grande Remembers Mac Miller on Posthumous 27th Birthday

Ariana Grande may have a new hit single out in the form of “7 Rings.” But the beloved pop star took a moment away from celebrating this professional success on Saturday in order to mourn a personal loss. We’re talking, of course, about Mac Miller. On the occasion of what would have been her ex-boyfriend’s 27th birthday, Grande took to Twitter and posted a very simple and very heartfelt message. It read: miss u . Grande posted the message right after the clock struck midnight. Miller was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in September of 2018. He had been battling a substance abuse problem for many years prior to his passing, with Ariana crushed that she was unable to help Miller turn his life around. About a week after this tragedy, Grande shared a video of Mac telling a story while they ate dinner together. “i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times,” she captioned it. And she added: “i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.” While Ariana has mostly chosen to mourn Miller in private, she did post about him again on social media just days after releasing her previous smash song “Thank U, Next.” This was the track on which she sang about her exes, including Miller and ex-fiancé Pete Davidson. “Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel,” Grande sings at the outset of the single. Not long after Miller died, Grande started to date Pete Davidson. They got engaged after just a few weeks and then went through a very public break-up. Along with Grande, meanwhile, many others stars paid tribute to Miller on Saturday. Wrote Juicy J, for example: Happy bday to my brother Mac Miller i miss my bro every day. We continue to send our condolences to Miller’s loved ones, friends and family members. May he rest in peace.

‘LHHATL’ Star Spice Just Pulled Off The Best Marketing Ploy To Get People To Listen To Her Mixtape

Source: SPEX PHOTOGRAPHY, INC / SPEX PHOTOGRAPHY, INC Colorism is an issue not only prevalent in American culture but in Caribbean culture as well and this Love & Hip Hop Atlanta artist Spice (real name Grace Hamilton) is using her platform to speak out about it. Spice scammed all of us when she posted a questionable photo on Instagram that left fans speculating she bleached her skin. It turns out, the image was a super effective marketing ploy to grab our attention. Spice released her mixtape Captured , which debuted at #1 on the reggae charts. Spice’s controversial promotion raised eyebrows, but for good reason. Her first single is about the affects of colorism and how it could push someone to bleach their skin. “I get hate from my own race yes that’s a fact,” she raps. “Cause the same black people dem say I’m too black and if you bleach out you skin dem same one come a chat.” Celebrities and artists like Michael Jackson, Vybez Kartel and Sammy Sosa infamously bleached their skin to appear lighter. Spice’s stance, banish colorism, was met with polarizing comments. While some fans understood her message, others couldn’t understand her tactics. I want to congratulate Spice’s PR stunt and people because they successfully nailed these goals. Her single #BlackHypocrisy topping the charts, statement is proved, and her followers grew from 1.4M to 1.6M in a matter of 36 hours. Impeccable . — T E E R E I G N (@TeeReign_) October 23, 2018 I have a new level of respect for @spiceofficial . I love and respect how you embrace and stood firm when all was against u. Ur song #Blackhypocrisy speaks loud, volume and to me even tho I'm a man. Keep it up. — Marlando-Anthony (@Marlaan_Anthony) October 23, 2018 Spice really was speaking facts in her song, but if she really bleached her skin I’ll be sick af… #BlackHypocrisy — ChRiStLe (@Chrizz_Till) October 23, 2018 In 2017, website SoulReflectionz.com spoke with six Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaican natives, who shared their thoughts on the idea that lighter skin is more desirable. “There’s no question that in Trinidad and Tobago, a lot of people see light-skinned individuals as superior to those with darker skin. Here, light-skinned means ‘exotic’ to many, and exotic, in turn, is considered to be more interesting,” Michael from Trinidad and Tobago said. “Light-skinned people tend to have the advantage/upper hand when it comes to the way they are treated by the general public. I’m not just saying that. I’ve seen it with my own eyes, and, being dark-skinned, have been on the receiving end of negativity because of my shade of black. Slavery definitely has a part to play in this mindset.” Spice is using her platform to promote change in the culture. We’re here for it. Stream her mixtape, here . Ariana Grande Posts A Throwback Video of Her & Mac Miller

Source: Mac Miller performs live in concert on the “The Blue Slide Park Tour” at the House of Blues Chicago, Illinois – 12.10.11 Featuring: Mac Miller Where: United States When: 12 Oct 2011 Credit: WENN Though Ariana Grande’s been putting on a brave face for the past few months it’s becoming obvious that Mac Miller’s sudden death has indeed affected her in ways we can’t really comprehend. After rumors swirled that Mac’s overdose played a part in her breakup with Pete Davidson (he’s publicly stated he smokes weed to deal with his mental issues), Ariana took to IG to post a video of her and Miller during better days. In the video the “Sweetner” singer posted recently we see Mac Miller getting dipped for The Oscars the couple attended with the help his mother Joan and grandmother, Nonna. Unfortunately, that was the last time the couple had a public outing as they broke up a few months later in May of 2017. Obviously, Mac still holds a special place in Ariana Grande’s heart. Check out the heartbreaking video below.

Rumor Control: Pete Davidson Says He Definitely Did NOT Send Mac Miller Intimate Pics With Ariana Grande

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic Pete Davidson Denies Sending Mac Miller Photos Before His Death If you internet much, by now you’ve likely scrolled past a story or ALL CAPS SOCIAL MEDIA POST claiming that before his untimely death, Mac Miller received some emotionally damaging photos from his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande’s new fiance Pete Davidson. The rumor claims that Pete sent Mac Miller intimate photos of himself and Ariana, aiming to destroy any hope the rapper had of rekindling his long-term relationship with the singer. If you’ll recall, Ariana and Pete went public as a couple just days after Ariana and Mac announced their split…and became engaged just weeks after that. Well, a rep for Pete Davidson claims to Page Six that there is “absolutely no truth to that rumor.” What do you think? We’re inclined to believe Pete on this one because if that were the case, it’s likely that news would have spilled almost immediately or at least very soon after Mac’s death, not a month later when Pete and Ariana split up.
