June Shannon: I Need My Boyfriend! Because I’m Blind!

According to a recent police report, June Shannon was threatened by boyfriend Geno Doak in a gas station parking lot. The situation escalted to such an extent that cops were called to the scene and both Shannon and Doak were arrested . For possession of crack cocaine! It was pretty serious business. But Shannon doesn’t really think this is the case. And she’s now gone on record about Doak, what he means to her and why she thinks a judge was wrong for telling Geno to stay away from June after the couple was taken into custody. This judge made this decree because Doak allegedly threatened Shannon’s life — although both parties subsequently ignored the order when they hit up an Alabama casino just hours after it was handed down (as documented below). Still, legally, Doak is barred from spending time with Shannon at the moment. This is something the From Not to Hot star is trying to change. View Slideshow: Mama June: Still Partying With Violent Boyfriend After Arrest! TMZ has obtained legal documents written by Shannon’s attorney that state she is partially blind. She explains that Doak helps her get through everyday and that he’s very loving toward her children and that the two are dedicated to mending their relationship. Shannon wants the court to know she does not fear for her safety around Doak… she is not concerned about what Geno could do to her… and she’s asking the court to lift the protective order saying he must stay away from her. She’d also really like the domestic violence charge against Geno dismissed as well. Shannon and Doak were arrested back on March 15. After someone called the police due to the loud argument in which they were engaged, June told these authorities that the drugs they found inside the vehicle belonged to her. As did the $1,300 in cash they found in her bra. Per various news outlets, Shannon was apprehended on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Doak, meanwhile, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and domestic violence. It was the latest in a string of arrests for both Doak and also for June’s boyfriends overall. She has very questionable taste in men. Sources tell TMZ that those close to Shannon think Doak is a terrible influence, but she writes in her new court documents that this simply isn’t true. Shannon says the situation at the gas station “got heated and out of hand, but never was I in fear for my safety or did I want the police involved.” She adds she’s lived with Geno for three years and they’re “working on our relationship to make us stronger as a couple.” They’re also talking marriage and co-starring on From Not to Hot, althought the future of that series is now a mystery. “We share our viewers’ concerns for June Shannon and her entire family. We are monitoring events as they occur and are focused, as always, on the entire family’s well-being,” said WEtv in a statement after June’s arrest. She probably doesn’t deserve to make lots of money by anchoring a television show, that much seems certain at this point. June Shannon needs to make better life choices.

Shannon Beador Exposed Having a Secret Boyfriend!

At the reunion special for The Real Housewives of Orange County , Tamra Judge claimed to have caught Shannon Beador in a lie . Tamra claimed that Shannon had been seeing a boyfriend while filming the season, but kept him secret so she could “play the victim card.” She lays out her claims in the shocking video that we have attached. At the reunion, Tamra Judge lobbed a bombshell accusation at Shannon. The former friends feuded on camera as Tamra claimed that Shannon had kept her secret boyfriend hidden. She accused Shannon of hypocrisy, saying that she'd acted distraught over David dating so soon after their divorce but that she was, too. In Tamra's eyes, it looked like Shannon was trying to milk people were sympathy during her tumultuous divorce. Also, as Gina pointed out, it looked like Shannon was hiding part of her personal life from the viewers and from Bravo. Is this really the case? Did Shannon have a secret boyfriend? They can't be talking about Scot Matteson. Scot, whom Shannon began dating this summer, was still spotted everywhere with Shannon as recently as October. There are photos of him with Shannon and with Andy Cohen, possibly as the filming of the reunion special. Scot is a real estate developer and is known for being a family man. At no point did it appear that Shannon was keeping him secret, with other Housewives speaking about him publicly over the summer. So we'll have to look a bit further back than this. What about Alex? Shannon went on some dates with him during the Spring of 2018. The two attended music events but, ultimately, things did not work out. Some speculated that, since Scot may have been in the audience for Tamra's accusations, that Shannon's secret ex was Alex. While it's possible that Tamra was referring to him, Shannon didn't really keep him secret. She made it clear that she was keeping him off of the show, but she did share photos of the two of them together on Instagram. It looks like Shannon's mystery man was probably not someone whom she's shown on social media. This is a guy whom she characterizes as having “treated her like crap,” even though she had fancied him at the time. (It sounds like poor Shannon has a type ) Shannon objected to Tamra's characterization of this dude as a “boyfriend.” As some women learn to their chagrin, going on a couple of dates with a guy is not the same thing as being boyfriend and girlfriend. Shannon's relationship, such as it was, fizzled out before it went anywhere. Tamra was being kind of ridiculous. The whole reason that this came up was because of the discussion of David Beador's new girlfriend, Lesley Cook. Lesley is reportedly pregnant (and David and Lesley may be engaged ), which obviously came up at the reunion. Shannon being upset at David finding a new love by New Years isn't somehow hypocritical if she went on some dates earlier in the year. There are different tiers of dating. Putting a baby in someone on purpose and taking international vacations, which David has been doing, is not the same as going to a concert. Tamra should know that. Gina Kirschenheiter, a newcomer to the franchise and a fan favorite, felt that Shannon was probably obligated to share her life with the show. That's true for some things — as Real Housewife of Atlanta Kenya Moore learned last year when she had a secret wedding. But, as Vicki was quick to point out to Gina, you don't have to share everything from your life. A few dates with a guy is not the same as having a boyfriend, it's not something that you have to put on camera. Gina may have felt like she wasted her time with a matchmaker, and her feelings are valid, but Shannon wasn't trying to trick her. It's said that Shannon and Tamra will make nice in the next installment of the reunion. But we already know that this peace doesn't last.

Tamra Judge: Gina Kirschenheiter RUINED My Friendship with Shannon Beador!

After the way that Tamra Judge betrayed Shannon Beador , it looks like Shannon isn’t speaking to Tamra . Now, Tamra has given a new interview. In it, she lays all of the blame for her fractured friendship at the feet of Gina Kirschenheiter. In an interview with TooFab , Tamra Judge says that she has now seen a very important The Real Housewives of Orange County scene. She says that it hasn’t convinced her that Gina is anything other than a sneaky saboteur. “To me,” Tamra says. “As I watch it, that’s what I see it like, It’s like, ‘Hey, now we’re friends, let’s team up.'” She is referring to Gina telling Shannon about what Tamra and others had said behind Shannon’s back. “It was really a weird situation,” Tamra shares. “Because she’s never been close to Shannon, ever.” Tamra doesn’t buy it: “So for her to say, ‘Oh, I’m so worried about your mental state,’ but yet, prior to that, all she was doing was shit-talking Shannon?” With those words, Gina drove a wedge between Tamra and Shannon’s friendship. “It wasn’t cool at all,” Tamra says. Tamra is especially critical of Gina’s timing. She says that it was a shady move, “especially when she had [cosmetic eye] surgery a few days prior.” We all saw that Shannon was trying to focus on her recovery at the time. “She just wanted to get her upset,” Tamra characterizes. Gina, in Tamra’s eyes, is just a troublemaker — a troublemaker with no clear endgame. “My biggest thing is like, what was her point of doing that?” Tamra asks. One does wonder what Gina had to gain, because Tamra doesn’t think that she was just trying to be earnest. “She [got close to] Shannon like 15 minutes ago,” Tamra characterizes. Tamra continues: “and all of a sudden, she wants to sit down and say, ‘Hey, let me just tell you what your friends are saying.'” “In Gina’s defense, she did say ‘friends,'” Tamra admits. Tamra says: “but when I got the message [from Shannon], it was more like, ‘Gina said you were saying all kinds of horrible things about my mental state.'” Clearly, Shannon was very distressed at the time. She has been going through so much this year. “And,” Tamra explains. “That’s why I said to Gina, ‘Let me hear your side of the story before I lose my s–t.'” “But her side of the story wasn’t great,” Tamra says. That said, it doesn’t sound like everyone’s still at each other’s throats. Tamra tells TooFab that she and the other Housewives parted ways “on decent terms” after filming the reunion special in October. “Nobody’s fighting,” Tamra claims. “Well, except for Kelly [Dodd] and Vicki [Gunvalson].” We all saw Kelly’s recent assessment of who should and should not return to the series. “It’s funny because neither one of them think the other should be on the show anymore,” Tamra says. “But I think they’re both great for the show,” Tamra notes. “They’re exactly what the show needs.” So, what was Gina’s real motive for speaking to Shannon? Maybe she really was just trying to be a good friend. Her characterization of what the other women were saying didn’t miss the mark by much. That said, chaos for the sake of chaos may have also been a motive. We’re not accusing Gina of being a chaos demon. But she’s a Real Housewife — you know that she wants to come back next season. Proving that she can stir up drama like this sounds like a great way to get a ticket back next season. View Slideshow: Kelly Dodd: Fire Has-Been Vicki Gunvalson! Bish is Past Her Expiration Date!

The Real Housewives of Orange County Recap: Another Friendship Bites the Dust

The ladies of Orange County have been battling it out like never before on The Real Housewives of Orange County.  Monday’s episode of chronicled the fraught friendship between Tamra Judge and Gina Kirschenheiter.  The pair were still at odds over Gina dishing the goodies to Shannon about what was being said about her.  But Gina wanted to let bygones be bygones and wanted Tamra to attend her birthday bash, but Judge had an agenda of her own.  Tamra made her way over to Vicki’s house and revealed all about the growing tension between her and Gina.  “So I got a call from Shannon who said that Gina told her that I was talking all this stuff about her in Jamaica,” Tamra told Vicki.  But Vicki was so over what happened in Jamaica, saying: “Hello! Jamaica why are we still talking about Jamaica. We are done we are home now. I told Shannon if she has to get on anti-depressants than do it. But Shannon is not mentally ill.” In a hilarious segment, the two women decided against attending Gina’s party, and while it seemed more about Shannon being there, it was still pretty rude.  As for Gina, she was moving out of her family home and into her own bachelorette pad following her decision to divorce her husband. “I am realizing that Mrs. Kirschenheiter is no more,” Gina said before claiming this would be her first birthday as a single woman.  Gina then told her new BFF Kelly Dodd that she was keeping her divorce on the down low from her children.  The ladies subsequently met up at Emily Simpson’s for a fortune reading party, and things quickly got out of hand.  “I have texted Shannon to ask how her surgery went. She did not answer, but I just wanted her to know how it went,” Emily said. “Hopefully you are on the up and up,” Tamra said to Emily about Shannon. “I feel bad, but I am honestly over Shannon at this point,” said Gina who was still in hot water with Tamra. “I am trying to help, and you are trying to help her, and now this whole thing is about me and you and do I think you are a sh***y friend.”   All seemed to go quiet on the Shannon front until the fortune reader told the ladies that a “woman with an S in her name needed help.” Okay then, Bravo to the producers for this random twist.  The episode’s final moments focused on Gina questioning where Shannon, Tamra, and Vicki were after everyone but them arrived at her birthday party.  We cut away to a scene with Tamra, Vicki, and Shannon together having a party of their own.  “So I told you both what happened. The one thing that kind of upset me was that Emily said, ‘Because I grew up with a mentally ill mom, I saw some similarities with Shannon,’” Tamra said.  That’s when Shannon lost it.  “This is a person that threatened to kill Kelly! How dare she? Mentally ill? F**k her,” Shannon yelled as the episode faded to black.  Oh yes, it’s on! What are your thoughts on the latest big twist? The Real Housewives of Orange County Recap: Twin Tweaks

Vick Gunvalson and Shannon Beador went under the knife.  Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County chronicled each of the two women’s cosmetic surgery procedures. Vicki went with a lower face and neck life, which was scheduled to last five hours. Yes, that’s a long time to go under the knife.  There was an especially scary moment at the top of the hour when Vicki was asked if she wanted to be resuscitated if her surgery went south.  “‘I do want to be resuscitated. I’ve got a lot of things to do this week,” she said with a grin in response.  You can always rely on the OG of the OC to throw in some comic relief to an otherwise serious scene.  The nurse went on to admit that the drugs could pose some side effects, and Vicki was not done making fun of it.  “It makes your hoo-ha buzz?” she quipped. “Because I’ve had so many surgeries, I kinda sorta know what the hoo-ha buzz is.” If you wanted to know what procedures Vicki had in the past, then she was all too happy to dish the goodies in a confessional.  She had work done on her chin, nose, tummy, eyes, and her breasts. We’re inclined to believe she already knew all about the side effects.  As for Shannon, she opted for an eye procedure because she wanted to look the best as she continued her return to the dating game.  Vicki woke up shortly after her procedure and continued to have some of the wittiest responses ever.  “Am I pretty? Do I look like Vicki?” she questioned. “Yeah you look like Vicki wrapped up in a towel,” Steve told her.  “And ten years younger,” yelled a nurse.  Steve then took the love of his life to the Monarch Beach Resort because she wanted to recover in luxury, but she was cautious that anyone laid eyes on her.  As for Shannon, she made her way home after the surgery and was visited by Kelly Dodd and Gina Kirshenheiter when she got home.  Things took an awkward turn when Gina started talking about the Jamaica trip, admitting that there was “a lot of talk about your mental health.” Gina continued to talk about it, even going as far as throwing Tamra under the bus for talking smack about her supposed friend.  Shannon seemed happy to know what was being said but admitted in a confessional that her recovery was no the time or the place to open up about it.  In true Real Housewives fashion, it didn’t take long for Tamra to get wind of what was being said.  “I would like to hear your side before I lose my s***,” said Tamra to Gina as she sharpened her blade.  We are obviously kidding about the blade part, but Tamra was pissed.  “I said your best friends are concerned for you,” Gina countered, before saying that she wanted to make Shannon aware that she was being spoken about.  “I didn’t expect this from Gina at all, she is New York Gina with her loyalty, and you are going to throw me under the bus? Oh no,” said Tamra. But Gina was adamant she was not trying to cause drama, and swiftly realized that the issue here was Shannon.  Shannon apparently took what Gina said and made it into something it wasn’t.  While Tamra was furious with her friends, she got a little bit of good news in her home life.  Eddie was still struggling with his heart defect but found out he was going to be treated for it.  He was tired of not being able to do what he wanted but vowed to be back to doing normal things as soon as possible.  “Like b**ing your wife?” laughed Tamra. Okay, that’s all for another week. What did you think of all the drama? Hit the comments below.  View Slideshow: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Season 9 Looks Absolutely Insane!

Vicki Gunvalson Slams Castmates: You Losers Are Obsessed With Shannon Beador!

Maybe a year and a half ago, Shannon Beador was blaming Vicki Gunvalson’s rumor-mongering for her weight gain. Now, things are very different. On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County , Shannon Beador flipped out . Vicki is riding to Shannon’s defense, saying that the situation was unfair — and was Gina and Emily’s fault. Vicki Gunvalson took to her Bravo blog to defend Shannon. First and foremost, Vicki set the stage for Shannon snapping the way that she did. “We were all miserable in Jamaica, as it was way too hot,” Vicki shares. She writes: “And the hotel rooms did not have air conditioning due to an air compressor being broken.” (I wouldn’t wish for even my worst enemy to be in Virginia without air conditioning. Jamaica? I’d have quit the show and flown back right away) “They were able to eventually accommodate us on the last few days and moved us to a new villa where it was nice and cool,” Vicki says. “I think all of our nerves were shot,” Vicki explains. “And things heated up and got out of control.” Now that she’s explained everyone’s frayed nerves and Shannon’s ponytail, she starts in on the actual conflict. “I think we should have calmly discussed our concerns or issues with Shannon, without going on the attack mode,” Vicki writes. “I’ve been on the receiving end of this type of argument when people go after you,” she says. “And it’s not fun by any means.” Vicki wants to make it very clear that she was not a deliberate participant in this, and that her concern about Shannon appearing to be drinking alone was genuine. “I told Shannon just today that she is in a much better place than she was six months ago when this was filmed,” Vicki adds. “And,” she continues. “I’m proud of her strength and accomplishments.” “It was taken out of context when I said Shannon has ‘rich girl problems’ when she was talking about having to move again,” Vicki writes. “She was not discussing the amount of support she receives,” Vicki clarifies. “Or that she was ungrateful for it.” Vicki says: “she was just saying she just got settled in her home and now she had to look for a new place.” You know what? That’s valid. Also, has anyone noticed how much Vicki is trying to hold herself accountable for her words these days? Good for her. Hey, so, remember that part of this week’s episode when Tamra responded to Shannon by screaming at her? Vicki remembers. “I don’t know all the history of why Tamra got so upset with Shannon,” Vicki says. “Other than what I have heard from Tamra.” “She was truly concerned for Shannon,” Vicki continues. “And felt Shannon wasn’t there for Tamra during that time.” Vicki continues: “I just think the delivery could have been a little ‘softer.'” “Like Shannon said, she thought it was resolved at their lunch date at Roger’s Garden,” Vicki notes. “So clearly there was more that transpired after that, which I wasn’t aware of.” As we discussed, Tamra no longer feels sorry for Shannon , which is quite a thing to say about your BFF. Vicki sounds fed up: “I don’t know why Gina and Emily are so obsessed with ‘being friends with Shannon.'” “It’s clear that they don’t have an authentic interest in her life or what she is going through,” Vicki assesses. “Nor do I think it’s fair to continue to talk about it,” Vicki says. “Friendships happen naturally and are never good if they are forced.” (Spoken like a woman who’s never used overt friendliness as a weapon to get her way, we take it) Real talk, though, Gina and Emily probably want to forge these friendships to cement their place on the show. “It’s like they are obsessed with talking about it,” Vicki continues. In Vicki’s eyes, “Just because they are hanging out with Shannon doesn’t mean they have to be BFF’s.” “My feeling,” Vicki writes. “Is to let it flow naturally.” It can be difficult to very naturally form friendships while on camera, however. “Shannon and I don’t see much of Gina and Emily,” Vicki shades. “So I don’t know why they are so focused on it.” In Vicki’s eyes: “For some of the girls to continue to prod Tamra on her friendship with Shannon when they knew it was issue is just plain mean.” “It is disingenuous of Gina to purposely try to drive a wedge between Tamra and Shannon and then claim to be some victim,” Vicki accuses. Vicki has a theory: “It’s like she thinks she is going to win Tamra over if she is friends with her and not Shannon?” “Are we in grade school?” Vicki asks. “Is this a game?” “Gina does not have the history Tamra and Shannon do,” Vicki says. “And my advice is to leave them be and let them sort this out on their own.” “They sure don’t need Gina’s advice on this,” in Vicki’s opinion. “Shannon’s situation is completely different than anyone else’s,” Vicki affirms. “Her divorce is nasty and very difficult to handle.” “Kelly stirred the pot by telling Shannon that Tamra thinks Shannon isn’t a good friend,” she accuses. “That’s not being a friend at all.” “She threw that out there and then walked away smirking, which is extremely mean,” Vicki writes. “It is NOT ok talking ‘crap’ on your friend behind her back.” “And,” Vicki continues. “When Kelly said ‘David must have been a saint’ is wrong and NOT ok.” “She owes Shannon an apology,” Vicki concludes. “As they are very good friends still.” Who’d have thought this time last year that Vicki would come riding to Shannon’s defense? Tamra Judge: I Don’t Feel Sorry for Shannon Beador Anymore!

The Real Housewives of Orange County fans watched in horror and fascination as Shannon Beador flipped out on her co-stars in Jamaica. Even Tamra Judge, who has been Shannon’s closest ally on the show, was frustrated with Shannon’s behavior. Now, Tamra is taking to her blog to explain why she’s so frustrated with her BFF. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , the memory of Shannon Beador’s freakout remains burned into your mind. A lot of viewers were taken aback by Shannon’s freakout. But a lot took to Twitter to blast Tamra Judge, feeling that she was way too harsh in response. (Seriously, the feedback was enough that Andy Cohen spoke about how pissed fans were at Tamra) Tamra took to her Bravo blog to explain that she is frustrated with Shannon for not taking responsibility. “The constant negativity was driving me crazy,” Tamra writes. “I was at my breaking point with Shannon.” Tamra continues: “I love my friend dearly, but it wasn’t OK for her to act this way anymore.” Tamra says that it’s Shannon’s fault that she’s not getting along super well with her new castmates. “Gina and Emily had been telling me that Shannon does not give them the time of day,” Tamra reveals. “I tried to explain to them that Shannon is not good with change and doesn’t ask a lot of questions about other people,” Tamra says. Tamra adds: “not even me, her BFF.” “Both the girls told me that I was just making excuses and enabling her,” Tamra writes. “And they didn’t understand why I would do that.” Obviously, Shannon is dealing with a lot, including her at times deeply contentious divorce from David. Tamra says that this is no excuse. “Saying you have too much on your plate to acknowledge somebody on vacation makes no sense,” Tamra writes. She also laments that it is impossible to point out to Shannon when she is not being reasonable. “Here’s the thing,” Tamra says. “It’s really hard for me to tell Shannon when she’s acting out, because all she does is get mad and ices me out.” “So,” Tamra explains. “I just don’t say anything most of the time.” After Shannon blew up at Kelly Dodd, she explained herself at dinner — but that wasn’t the smoothest meal, either. “It really upset me that Shannon would go off on me at the restaurant,” Tamra laments. “I am the one that is always there for her, makes excuses for her behavior, and supports everything she does,” Tamra writes. “Sometimes it’s exhausting! ” “I never told Gina that Shannon was a bad friend,” Tamra insists. “Those were Gina‘s words, not mine.” Like Vicki before her, Shannon has struggled to get along with Gina Kirschenheiter because Gina’s divorce is going so well. “When I didn’t say ‘Yes, Shannon is a good friend’ right away,” Tamra says. “Shannon stormed off, and  of course I chased after her.” Though viewers clearly remember Tamra screaming at Shannon, which seemed to escalate the situation, Tamra says she was there to help. “I tried to talk to Shannon about being a more positive person,” Tamra writes. “I really don’t think that Shannon sees how she’s acting,” Tamra says. “But all she wanted to do was attack me.” “Kelly asked me on the raft if Shannon ever calls and asks about Eddie,” Tamra reveals. “And I said …NO! ” Eddie has atrial fibrillation despite being relatively young. This potentially serious heart problem leaves him feeling betrayed by his own body. Tamra strongly resents the suggestion that she is in any way at fault for Shannon’s tensions with her new castmates. “To insinuate that I’m feeding into Emily and Gina having problems with her infuriates me,” Tamra declares. “Take responsibility for your own actions,” she demands of Shannon. “You did this, not me.” “Everyone  was coming from a place of concern that night,” Tamra writes. “And I just don’t understand how Shannon can’t see it.” Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it’s that Shannon’s ponytail was way too tight. Tamra suggests that she is done pitying her alleged BFF. “When you continue to complain about the same thing over and over again and do nothing about it, I can’t feel sorry for you anymore,” Tamra declares. “You have choices in life,” Tamra says. “Either you can be happy or you can be miserable.” For most people, emotions are not really a choice, but that’s not how Tamra sees it. “I told Shannon,” she writes. “It’s time for her to flip the switch and be happy.” “The next day we went bobsledding without Shannon,” Tamra shares. Tamra makes it clear that they did this “not because we wanted to, but because she would not return anybody’s phone calls.” “She was icing everybody out,” Tamra laments. We hope that being able to see herself and her behavior on television will help to give Shannon a little perspective. Celebrity Big Brother Recap: Omarosa Forms an All-Female Alliance!

From the moment Julie Chen introduced us to the Celebrity Big Brother house, it was clear this was going to be a season like no other.  Julie wasted no time in introducing us to the houseguests. They are Metta World Peace, Ariadna Guiterrez, Ross Mathews, Brandi Glanville Mark McGrath, Omarosa, Marissa Jaret Winokur, James Maslow, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Shannon Elizabeth. Yeah, it’s clear the producers scraped the bottom of the barrel with some of them, but Omarosa made it clear from the get-go that she was in the house to play.  Her dress was just too much, but it showed she did not care about what the others thought of her. Omarosa wanted to have an all-female alliance to get the men out.  In doing so, it revealed a glaring flaw in the format. There were six females and five males when the season kicked off. It’s certainly an odd number.  Before Brandi entered the house, her stylist said she would need to keep her mouth shut, or she ran the risk of becoming an early target. She did not take that to heart and immediately started dragging James Maslow for speaking about his vocal range.  Brandi felt like Mark McGrath should have been speaking about vocal range because he was in the business for a longer time. This rattled James, who told Mark he needed to win HOH and put up Brandi.  Omarosa spoke to Shannon about creating an alliance with the ladies, and it became a reality a few scenes later. The men were too busy messing around to notice the women becoming a force to be reckoned with.  At the HOH competition, Omarosa won immunity from the first eviction, and it allowed her to step out of the competition for the week.  The houseguests had to hold on to a supersized award for dear life. The women dominated the competition, and it came down to James and Shannon.  James was visibly struggling and tried to cut a deal with Shannon to keep him safe, but Omarosa interjected, saying that James was close to falling so a deal would be unfair to Shannon.  In a confessional, Omarosa dished that she knew she did not want to align with James and that’s why she shut down the dealmaking during the competition.  Shannon won the first HOH of the season, but Julie dropped a bomb of epic proportions on the houseguests. They all had to pick a gift that would have some Big Brother swag or a game-changing twist.  That twist would allow the lucky recipient to overthrow the HOH and become the one in power for that week. James knew the odds were stacked against him, but the episode concluded before we got down to it.  What did you think of the opener? Will you continue watching? Hit the comments below! Fixer Upper to (GASP!) End After Season 5

Chip and Jo are saying it IS so: This beloved couple has announced it will be ending Fixer Upper after five seasons. Following bits of speculation over the future of their show , the Gaines confirmed via their official blog today that the most popular series on HGTV is coming to an end.  “It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that season 5 of Fixer Upper will be our last,” Chip and Joanna said, adding: “While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with. Our family has grown up alongside yours, and we have felt you rooting us on from the other side of the screen. “How bittersweet to say goodbye to the very thing that introduced us all in the first place.” The parents of four went on to say their time on television has been “an amazing adventure,” as they’ve poured everything they have into this program. Fixer Upper features Chip and Joanna helping clients find a home that needs a lot of renovation. Chip is in charge of the construction, while Joanna takes lead on the interior design. As is the case with so many real estate-themed shows, there’s some addictive about watching this makeover process play out… but it’s been the chemistry between Chip and Joanna that has resulted in such impressive ratings. Explained the HGTV stars as part of their announcement: “We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause. Our family is healthy and our marriage has honestly never been stronger. “This has nothing to do with a fraudulent skincare line or anything else you’ll inevitably read. This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment. “Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses.” The couple has run into a handful of controversies of the years. Toward the end of 2016, for example, Chip and Joanna were unfairly implicated in a scandal that centered on their pastor seemingly pushing for gay conversion therapy . A few months later, Chip was accused of fraud by his former business partners. Then, just recently, a few Christians somehow gave the Gaines grief for agreeing on a deal with Target because that company has spoken out in favor of transgender rights. Despite some of these hiccups, Fixer Upper has remained the most-watched show on HGTV. As you can see by some of these responses, not every viewer is taking this news well: Concludes Chip and Joanna on their blog: “We will forever be thankful for HGTV and this opportunity of a lifetime. “We are also thankful to our production company, Highnoon Entertainment and our amazing producers and crew on the ground here in Waco. We are grateful for them and for you. Thank you for sharing life with us and for the continued support. “Thank you for having our backs! “Thank you for caring about these homes and these families and the things that we care so much about.” We’d say a few words ourselves, but we’re having some trouble keeping it together here. Please talk amongst yourselves until we calm down. View Slideshow: HGTV Shows: RANKED!
