Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club Season Finale Recap: It’s Finally Over!

Well, folks, whether it’s Mueller, or Jussie, or the fact that soon we’re all gonna be strangled to a slow death by our own noxious atmosphere, there’s a lot that might be bumming you out this week … and it’s only Tuesday. But fear not, dear reader, for we bring you tidings of great joy and reason to be hopeful about the future. The long national nightmare known as Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club has finally come to an end. Better yet, because the show’s ratings steadily declined throughout the season, and a lot of people were grossed out by the fact that it was basically a documentary set at a skeezy Mediterranean brothel, there’s reason to believe it’ll never be back. Obviously, this is fantastic news for defenders not only of common decency but of quality television. You see, the problem with LLBC is that it was bad, but not in a fun guilty pleasure way. As we noted in our recap of the pilot episode the show is (was?) the sort of trainwreck that it’s easy to look away from . From the start, the show failed to deliver what it promised — Lindsay in all her hot mess glory. Don’t get us wrong, Lindsay seems to be doing much better these days, but no one wanted or needed a 10-hour infomercial about how she’s reinvented herself as Lisa Vanderpump. (It’s an especially weird act considering that Lindsay is younger than most of Lisa’s employees on Vanderpump Rules, which just contributes to the feeling that LiLo’s attempting an unsuccessful Vincent Adultman.) Anyway, it wasn’t just the fact that Lindsay was obviously cosplaying from the start, or even the fact that her business partner Panos basically admitted that the staff is there to perform sexual favors for guests. No, the most off-putting part of the whole thing was how slapdash and confusing it all was. Was it a competition to see who can go the longest without getting fired or contracting chlamydia?  Or was it more of a “hang-out” reality show where the cast bonds over their shared experiences and struggles with chlamydia? We’re not really sure — and in the season freakin’ finale, it seems that the cast wasn’t really sure, either. All season, Lindsay and Panos have been threatening to fire people, and it often seemed that that was the point of the series — that Lohan would winnow down her staff to a few who would remain on with her full-time. But despite all the threats, very few “ambassadors” got fired — until last night, when two were let go on their last day in Greece. Hilariously, one cast member was canned for behaving inappropriately with guests, despite the fact that the entire cast was encouraged to bone for money all season. Another was let go for striking a co-worker, which would be a good reason — were it not for the fact that Jonitta hit Gabi earlier this season and was not fired for it. “At the end of the day, no matter what you guys do here, it’s my name,” Lindsay said, repeating her mantra about the importance of her brand for then billionth time this season. In the end, Lindsay invited 5 staff members to stay on with her, which might have meant something if the show had established what’s at stake from the beginning. In the end, we were just left with something that started out with promise but ended in confusing disappointment. Not unlike Lindsay’s acting career. Vicki Gunvalson to Boyfriend Steve Lodge: Thanks for Saving My Job!

Vicki Gunvalson is eager to keep her role on  The Real Housewives of Orange County , and everyone else is paying the price. But though she’s reportedly  a holy terror on set , Vicki wants fans to know that her private life is peaceful and happy. That’s why she’s flaunting her boyfriend, Steve Lodge. That relationship is what saved her career. Vicki Gunvalson shared this photo of her with boyfriend Steve Lodge. The two had a romantic evening on Saturday, March 2. In addition to flaunting their love on Instagram, Vicki included a caption for context. “Date night with my man @stevelodge_oc after filming,” Vicki writes. She then included the hashtags: “#rhoc #bravo #season14.” Clearly, Vicki wants to make  certain  that everyone knows that she saved her job. Vicki’s relationship with Steve has certainly provided entertainment so far. But she nearly lost her role on the show because she didn’t have a real storyline to offer for this season. Vicki went through weeks of negotiations, missing filming, before her attorneys finally convinced Bravo that she can bring the entertainment factor. But reports sayt hat Vicki made some major promises. It’s said that Steve will have to propose to her during this season. If what we’ve heard is true, Vicki has promised to deliver a dramatic proposal and a wedding to keep herself interesting and relevant. But Vicki isn’t planning to rely solely upon her relationship status to keep her on the show. She’s determined to avoid being demoted to a “Friend” this season — or on any other season. As a result, she’s been bombarding her castmates and so-called friends with endless drama. “Vicki has been a total pain in the ass during the first few filming sessions that she has been back on set,” a source claimed. “She is throwing temper tantrums,” the insider elaborated. “And starting fights.” Vicki is doing this “because she is terrified of getting booted from the show.” “She knows that she has to bring the drama,” the source explained. “And she’s been doing just that.” Why did Vicki, the longest reigning Housewife in the franchise, have such an uphill battle to keep her gig? For one thing, she just didn’t have a storyline. Now, thanks to her romance with Steve Lodge, she does. The other big factor for producers was apparently Vicki’s spreading of rumors that Kelly Dodd is some sort of coke fiend. Drama makes for good television, but there are lines. And for Vicki, who has spread rumors about Eddie Judge and David Beador in the past, it was part of a pattern. Was Vicki right to grovel and promise huge relationship milestones to keep her job? Who knows, honestly — we can only be certain of things like this in hindsight. But some are saying that she should have followed NeNe Leakes’ example. NeNe was once demoted to “Friend” of the Housewives, so she just sat out that season. When ratings bombed, NeNe returned with a hefty pay raise and with producers too terrified to risk demoting her again any time soon. Would the same trick have worked for Vicki? Who can say? Vicki Gunvalson Agrees to MASSIVE Pay Cut to Remain a Real Housewife

The reality world was sent reeling with the news that Vicki Gunvalson had been demoted to a mere “Friend” of the Housewives . Vicki had responded to the rumors by insisting that she was still in negotiations, even after filming began. It looks like those negotiations paid off, because Vicki started filming for the show. But at what great personal cost? Vicki Gunvalson took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her with a bouquet of flowers and some good news. “First night of filming for me and @stevelodge_oc in the books,” Vicki announced in the caption. To make it absolutely clear what she meant, Vicki wrote: “Season 14.” This could have been a run-of-the-mill announcement for the longest-reigning Real Housewife in the business. But given recent reports, many had not expected to see Vicki at all this season. It was reported that Vicki had been demoted to being a mere “Friend” of the Housewives. In fact, it was unclear if she would be willing to accept that role. Some expected her to simply quit. RadarOnline   reports that Vicki had to give up a lot to remain on the show. According to their insider, Vicki “took a nearly 50 percent pay cut per episode, and she has no guarantee for episodes” “Vicki already missed a week of filming,” the source notes. “Vicki’s attorney pitched to the show the idea of her getting engaged to Steve as part of a big storyline,” the insider reveals. The source characterizes: “That was basically her only leverage.” “It’s soon to tell whether Vicki will be an RHOC full-time member or a part-time member,” the insider cautions. The source adds: “She will, however, have getting engaged and getting married as a major part of her story line this season.” “That was a game changer when she brought that to the table,” the insider admits. According to the source, Bravo “will let Vicki say whatever she wants about the negotiations.” “They aren’t going to trash talk her,” the insider says. Apparently, some people think that Vicki is giving too much. The source says that some of the ladies think that Vicki “should have walked like NeNe Leakes did after The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 7.” “Producers did the same thing to her that they did to Vicki,” the insider explains.  “But,” the source notes. “NeNe left making $50,000 an episode and then ratings tanked without her.” “NeNe then returned at $100,000 per episode,” the insider continues. “Getting the last laugh!” But regardless, Vicki made her deal, and the source says that, ultimately, Vicki feels that she got “exactly what she wanted.” We have to say that it’s a little jarring to hear of someone frantically promising to get engaged as a ploy to remain on reality television. Does that sort of thing happen all of the time? Absolutely. But it’s not terribly dignified. Maybe it’s unwise to get engaged just to stay relevant. Or maybe we’re the short-sighted ones, and taking engagements too seriously. This is Vicki’s reality career we’re talking about. Either way, her return to the show is great news for her fans, who were worried after she missed the first week of filming. One person will be sorely disappointed by this news: Kelly Dodd. While  Vicki’s friends had bemoaned her demotion , Kelly had seemed practically gleeful at the news of Vicki’s fallen fortune. Vicki has mended fences with some of her castmates, but not with Kelly, with whom she continues to feud. It was reported that her rumor-mongering about Kelly, accusing her of habitually using coke, was part of what put Vicki’s reality career in danger. More than anything, though, it was Vicki’s lack of storyline. Will getting engaged be enough — and is it really worth it to make a major life decision just to stay on the show? We suppose that we’ll all find out together. View Slideshow: Vicki Gunvalson: DEMOTED to “Friend” of the Real Housewives in Stunning Shakeup!

Colton Underwood Says He Was "Touched Inappropriately" at Charity Event

As the star of The Bachelor, Colton Underwood really hopes to be touched enough by one of his suitors to propose marriage and to live happily ever after. But the reality star has now made news for claiming he was touched in a very dfferent manner by someone at an event in San Diego. Via Instagram Story on Thursday, the 27-year old told fans that he had to leave a benefit for his Legacy Foundation – which helps people with cystic fibrosis – early because he was “grabbed and touched inappropriately.” The alleged incident took place on Wednesday. “San Diego. I’m sorry if you didn’t get a picture at the event last night,” wrote the former football player, elaborating on what he claims transpired: “But at one point during the event, I was grabbed and touched inappropriately while people were throwing cameras in my face. I am the type of person who would have stood in line for hours to make sure anyone who supported the event got a picture, but once that happened, I had to do what was best for me as a human being. “I didn’t sign up to be a piece of meat or a zoo animal.” Underwood, as ABC continues to scream loudly in every promo, is a virgin. Well… he wa a virgin when he signed on to anchor Season 23, but various The Bachelor spoilers have hinted that he wa deflowered by the woman he selected as his eventually winner. To be clear, it’s wrong to inappropriately touch any one at any time. But many are likely now wondering whether Underwood’s history in this sexual area plays any role in his reaction to whatever happened at the fundraiser. The Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation is pretty awesome. It co-hosted the Legacy Pack Launch Party in San Diego this week, a gathering for a great cause that included fellow Bachelor Nation alum such as: Becca Kufrin, Garrett Yrigoyen, Tanner Tolbert and Blake Horstmann. According to E! News, Underwood was took numerous selfies and other photos with female fans at the event — and the alleged perpetrator has not been identified. Concluded Underwood in his message: “I hope we run into each other at another event or on the street and I can take the time to say hello. Thank you again for coming to support Legacy and the fight against CF.” In a separate post, Underwood later added: “On another note: THANK YOU so much to @mavericksbeachclub & @puravidabracelets for putting on an amazing event.” The Bachelor, meanwhile, is gearing up for what looks to be an intense final set of episodes. Grey’s Anatomy Recap: Is it Game Over for Amelia and Owen?

Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy was a real tear-jerker.  Picking up in the immediate aftermath of Betty revealing she’s more of a Brittany and has been hiding from her parents, Owen and Amelia realized they needed to help out somehow.  Unfortunately for Betty, her parents showed up at the hospital. Amelia was the one to break the news about Leo.  The issue this presented was that Amelia and Owen were the ones caring for the child.  The good news was that Amelia was on hand to open up about her own struggles with addiction to Betty’s mother.  “I’m an addict, too. I did all of that. I ran away, I lied, I broke my mother’s heart over and over again,” Amelia said, adding: “When I got clean, she was the last person I wanted to see. The shame was too great. I’m sure you’re a good mom, and I promise you, your little girl is still in there.” The big mistake on Amelia’s part was that Betty’s parents decided to use that against Amelia and Owen, branding Amelia, “another drug addict.” Amelia’s actions did not sit well with Owen, either, because it meant that Betty’s parents were likely going to secure custody of the child.  Meanwhile, Bailey started to grow concerned about her future at the hospital, especially after Alex started to get a lot of recognition for his interim role.  It all came to a head when Alex’s photo was put up on the wall, and Bailey decided it was time for herself to be the one in charge again.  In a truly shocking scene, Alex admitted that he was not going to let Bailey have the job back just yet.  “I kicked this job’s ass, just like Weber told me to,” Alex said, confirming that he would be keeping the job until his six-month contract was up.  In the end, it gave Bailey the urge to say that she was proud of him. Alex has stood up for himself ever since he walked through the front door of the hospital.  He’s killing it at the job, so why should he end it so soon? Then there was Meredith, who was on the DeLuca train, but had a big problem: Maggie once dated the same man, so Meredith wanted her sister’s seal of approval before going full steam ahead.  “He’s a good guy. I don’t think he’s ever not a good guy. He’s got your back,” Maggie ultimately said to Meredith.   This came after Maggie had to perform surgery on someone who bullied her in med school.  Meredith assisted her with the surgery, but it was clear the patient had a profound effect on Maggie’s time gearing up to be a doctor.  What are your thoughts on all the action? This Is Us: Coming to an End!

This Is Us viewers are forced to break out multiple boxes of tissues on a weekly basis. The NBC drama is darn good, but darn sad and sentimental as well. Now, however, due to a bit of shocking news from showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Dan Fogelman, fans of the series are likely to lose their emotional $hit for reasons that have nothing to do with ongoing storylines. This is a long-winded way of saying the following: This Is Us is coming to an end!!!!!! In, like, three years. But still. In a revealing interview with Deadline, Aptaker and Fogelman say pretty clearly that the show will likely wrap up after Season 6. “We’ve got multiple seasons mapped out,” Fogelman tells the outlet of his beloved drama, which is currently in Season 3. “I think this season has been a lot about redemption, but also a lot of rebirth. Next season is a season of new beginnings and restarts.” Fans can expect interweaving timelines to play an even more prominent role in 2019-2020, the producers promise, but they also reveal that the plan all along has been to conclude This Is Us after six seasons. Explains Aptaker: “From day one, Dan came in with his master plan for the big picture stuff of the show and said, ‘I think this is where we end up. I think this is what I know. Let’s figure out the rest together.’ “So all of the writers and the actors really know everything. “We’re all pretty good at keeping secrets by now, it’s been three years, but it’s a total open book for everyone who works on the show, so there are no secrets from each other.” Naturally, of course, NBC may have something to say about this plan. The network renewed This Is Us for two additional seasons during its initial run, making it clear that it saw long-term potential in the stories of Jack, Randall, Kate and company. If the series maintains its popularity, and executies offer Aptaker and Fogelman enough money to stick around, who the heck knows? This Is Us could air 17 seasons in the end. For now, however, arcs and stories are being written with the sixth season end date in mind. And it sounds like the two men in charge know exactly how they want to say goodbye. “I would hope that it’s elegant,” Aptaker told Deadline of the series finale, which he’s already thought about it.” He continued: “That’s what we’re going for. I would hope that when we reach our ending, people think it’s a really satisfying end place, that makes sense, and it feels like they’ve watched something that is a complete piece of work because that’s really how we’re trying to plan it. “Almost like you would a book, or a super-long movie. “We’ve had this end in mind for a long time, so we’re able to plan for it, and try to make it feel like it’s a whole, as opposed to a series that’s going to go endlessly.” This Is Us – which stars, among others, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia – airs Tuesdays at 9/8 c on NBC. It will definitely make you cry. But it’s pretty fantastic.

Celebrity Big Brother Recap: Did Tomato Get Split Up?

Tom and Kato have held power for several rounds now on Celebrity Big Brother.  They’ve treated their allies terribly and gloated to the other houseguests that they hold all the power on several occasions.  The only way was down for Tomato, and Monday’s special eviction episode sure turned up the heat. When the episode got underway, we learned what really happened to the save Joey plan, and it was all thanks to Tamar.  Tamar wanted Kandi gone at the beginning of the season. The two women flat out hated each other, but they’ve become each other’s ride or die.   As such, Tamar told Natalie that she wanted to keep Kandi in the game. Natalie granted the wish, and that’s why Joey was voted out of the house.  But Kandi was not ready to show gratitude to Natalie or Lolo for saving her. Instead, Kandi wanted to get the two physical threats out of the house and told Tamar.  Natalie and Lolo were mad when Kandi started talking to Tom and Kato, prompting Tamar to pull her aside and find out what she was up to.  Kandi told her former enemy that they needed to make some moves because Natalie or Lolo will win the game.  “Kandi, if you go after them, they’re gonna come after me AND you!” Tamar stressed when it seemed like she was about to lose her cool.  The HOH competition was a stressful affair. Tamar admitted that this was the one she could excel at, and that’s what she did.  It came down to her and Kato, and she managed to secure the most crucial win to date. Maybe Tamar can put her emotions aside and win this whole thing.  Tamar decided it was time to split Tom and Kato up, so she put them on the block with a speech that might as well have said “f–k you” to them both.  The veto competition played out live and found the houseguests trying to remember which statements about performance were true or false.  Round 1: Everyone gets a point  Round 2: All but Kato & Tom get a point  Round 3: Everyone gets a point  Round 4: All but Tom get a point  Round 5: Tamar and Lolo get a point Round 6: Lolo gets a point  Round 7: All but Tamar and Dina get a point Lolo won the POV competition, and acted like she was presenting the Oscars when she admitted she was taking neither Tom or Kato off the block.  Ricky votes to evict: Kato  Kandi votes to evict: Kato  Dina votes to evict: Kato  Lolo votes to evict: Kato  Natalie votes to evict: Kato The plan was great. Tom thought he was going, and the houseguests voted to evict Kato to rattle Tom so that he would not perform well in the HOH competition.  We have the next HOH and nominations playing out on Thursday before the show returns for a double eviction on Friday.  View Slideshow: Big Brother: Meet the Most Controversial Houseguests
