Derick Dillard on Jim Bob Duggar: He Keeps All the Money and Lets His Kids Starve!

We hate to say we told you so, but — well, we’re about to do exactly that. For months now, rumors of a feud between Jill Duggar and her parents have been circulating non-stop. And earlier this week, we reported that both parties are no longer making much of an effort to conceal their mutual disdain for one another. It all started when the entire Duggar clan went to LA to visit Jinger  — and left Jill at home. (Joy-Anna Duggar didn’t make the trip either, but that’s because she was on an elk hunting trip in Colorado with her husband’s family.) That wasn’t the only recent indication of bad blood, but it’s a pretty major public snub from a family that usually prefers to keep its beefs under wraps. And now, it looks as though Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, has decided to respond in kind. Way back in March of 2018, a fan on Twitter asked Derick about the rumor that he tried to get TLC to pay for Jill’s hospital bills after she delivered their baby. Now, as we know from the many times that Derick bullied Jazz Jennings on Twitter, the guy is very, very active on the site. But for some reason, he waited until today — 19 months after the question was asked! — to respond to the hospital bill query: “Derick did you ask TLC to pay a hospital bill, if so why?” the fan tweeted last year. “I thought it was fair to ask in negotiating … TLC made lots of money in filming a birth special episode, and they had not offered to pay us anything,” Dillard replied today . “So I thought, at the very least, they could reimburse 5-10K for medical expenses. TLC sure made more than that off of us.”  Now, it seems to us that Jim Bob had slapped a muzzle on Derick and forbidden him to talk about the family’s business relationship with TLC. These days, however, it appears that Derick is fully off the leash. And if that little exchange wasn’t enough to convince you that Der is no longer worried about protecting Jim Bob’s public image, check this out:  “So why does Jim Bob get all the money for the show and doesn’t give any to his children? The actual stars of the show,” the fan followed up, prompting Derick to reply: “I don’t know. You would have to ask him that.” Folks, that’s some serious shade. Sure, it’s not the level of trash talk one typically hears from feuding reality stars, but these are the Duggars we’re talking about. This might be the closest we ever get to to a public declaration of war — and we can’t wait to see hoe Jim Bob responds! Jill Duggar: My Kids Are Ruining My Life!

Jill Duggar is in a tough spot. Ever since Derick Dillard got fired from Counting On two years ago, her family has been without any steady source of income. ( Jill quit the show as a gesture of solidarity — a move she probably regrets these days.) All Duggars are expected to devote their adult lives to two equally important pursuits: Helping to enrich the family media empire, and cranking out a whole lot of babies. Unfortunately, Jill seems to have little interest in either objective at the moment, Not only does her current financial situation prohibit further family expansion, it seems Jill finds raising two boys to be such a handful that she’s considering closing up shop. Just one week after Jill and Derick revealed that they’re expanding their family with the addition of a new puppy, Jill took to Instagram to vent her frustrations over the ever-increasing demands of mom life. Yes, it seems the situation at Casa de Dillard got a little raucous over the weekend. It all started when Jill’s sons Sam and Israel decided to get out of bed and redecorate the kitchen. “This is me frustrated,” Dillard said in her Instagram story documenting the incident. “[My son] is screaming at me because he wants a game. I just told them to go lay down or go outside until mommy can cool down and handle this situation.” And the chocolate sauce all over the kitchen wasn’t the only mess Jill had to contend with. It seems Sam and Israel also drew all over the walls with a pencil, which forced Jill to clean up with an eraser. “Just venting over here… [laugh out loud],” Jill captioned her post in an effort to keep the mood light. Of course, in the initial video, Jill griped that her life is almost unbearably stressful with “just two kids” — a comment that’s led many to the conclusion that she and Derick are done having children, Fortunately, Jill has figured out a brilliant strategy for preventing more offspring from entering her life — birth control. Yes, that might sound obvious, but most Duggars view birth control pills as the devil’s Tic Tacs. The Dillards have admitted to using birth control in the past, a fact that alarmed fans, as it was widely assumed that their faith forbade them from doing so. In any event, the situation at Jill’s house eventually calmed down, as the boys became distracted by a neighbor’s dog. And it seems Jill’s been benefitting from a time-tested coping mechanism of her own: “Have lots of good sex!” Derick wrote in a recent blog post about what he considers to be the keys to a successful marriage. “You both need this time together regularly (5-6 times (or more) a week is a good start),” Dillard added. “Guys, you need to keep yourself ‘joyfully available’ for your wife, because only you can fulfill certain desires she might have.” Needless to say, it’s a very good thing that these two don’t share her parents’ views on birth control! Derick Dillard: Just Get Over How I Bullied Jazz Jennings!

Notorious bigot Derick Dillard’s transphobia is so intense that it tanked his reality career. Some of his fans hope that he might express some degree of regret — or maybe even apologize — for verbally attacking a teenage girl. Instead, Derick says that people should just “get over it already.” Ugh. “QUESTION: What do you consider to be the most pressing civil rights questions?” Derick asked his followers on Twitter. It’s not the right question to ask, since no single issue can be tackled alone. Civil rights work has to be intersectional or it does little good. “Thank you!” Derick replied to a no-longer-available tweet. “There’s no right answer; I’m just interested in what people feel are the biggest issues.” “I agree with you,” he then affirmed to his follower. “That we should always treat everyone with dignity and fairness.” “Great!” replies another tweet, who then asks Derick: “So you can now apologize to @JazzJennings, right?” Instead of ignoring the tweet or replying “hey, that’s a good idea,” he instead doubled down on his general awfulness. “Oh get over it already,” Derick demanded. He wrote: “Any comments were directed @TLC and the parents.” “I love @JazzJennings,” he claimed, all evidence to the contrary. Then, in a sentence that would be random if you didn’t know how his twisted mind works, he concluded: “We have got to protect children!” See, Derick Dillard thinks that Jazz Jennings’ parents are “abusing” her by accepting and affirming who she is. While it’s absurd and insulting for anyone to claim that, it’s almost comical coming from someone who married into the Duggar family. Even before Josh’s molestation scandal was uncovered, the Duggars were notorious for their monstrously abusive parenting practices. In the mean time, Jazz’s parents simply let her be herself from a young age, giving her love and emotional support. But to Derick’s distorted worldview, a “good” parent would force their child to live out a lie that matches whatever was scribbled on their birth certificate. In August of 2017, totally out of the blue, Derick took to Twitter to rail against TLC for the show, I Am Jazz . I Am Jazz has followed Jazz Jennings for years as she experiences her teenage years. Jazz is very fortunate in that her family has been supportive of her gender since she was very young. She’s always know that she is a girl. She was also able to undergo bottom surgery — the term for genital alteration, sometimes known as gender confirmation surgery. Not all trans folks experience enough dysphoria to get bottom surgery (or have the money to afford it if they wanted to), but Jazz underwent that in 2018. TLC’s cameras followed Jazz through that part of her journey — and that’s part of why Derick thinks that the show is “bad.” Even though trans folks have existed across numerous cultures for thousands of years, Derick thinks that hiding their existence from kids will magically stop kids from being trans. That’s not a surprising point of view — his ilk have been saying the same about gay and bi people for generations. It’s not true for htem, either. What really happens when you raise your kids in a bubble where they don’t know about LGBTQ+ folks is that kids who are think something’s wrong with them. Some will go into denial. Others will live with their secret for decades, feeling misplaced shame over who they are. Either Derick would prefer that minorities remain silent, invisible, and miserable … or he really thinks that they just hear of trans people existing and go “oh, I’ll try that for fun.” So no, Derick, people are not going to “get over” your clownish transphobia. Duggar Family: Still Abusing Kids With Parenting Methods?

Whether you're a fan of Counting On or you simply watch the Duggars from a safe distance out of morbid curiosity, you have some sense of who and what you're dealing with. Put another way, you're probably aware that the family's belief system, and by extension, their child-rearing methods have been a frequent source of controversy. Practices such as ” blanket training ” and other forms of systematic abuse have led to calls for boycotts and even demands for a full CPS investigation in the past. But the Duggars have refused to shy away or even issue a public apology, which isn't surprising – and now it looks like these lessons are being handed down. According to a report from In Touch Weekly , it looks as though the torch is being passed from one generation to the next, in disturbing fashion. Are Jim Bob and Michelle's grown children now  practicing the same techniques that were used to quite literally whip them into shape in their own youth? Understandably, fans are terrified that this continued behavior and methodology may eventually result in someone paying the ultimate price. 1. The Originators Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have strict views on child-rearing and family hierarchies that were formed in part by their involvement with the unfortunately-named Bill Gothard’s Institute for Basic Life Principles. 2. The Fallen Idol Those who follow Gothard may now that he got what was coming to him. He is now a disgraced former minister who was drummed out his own organization after being accused of abuse and sexual assault by dozens of employees. 3. The Stubborn Ones Despite the scandal, and attempts to distance themselves from him from an image standpoint, Jim Bob and Michelle have remained true to Gothard’s teachings, including two beliefs that have attracted a considerable amount of criticism in recent years. 4. Full Quivers Gothard is the originator of the Quiverfull Movement, which holds and practices the belief that women are put on this planet for the sole purpose of birthing as many children as possible. 5. A Dangerous Proposition This isn’t a vaguely-defined “the bigger family, the better” sort of deal. According to Gothard’s teachings, women are to continue having children until they literally cannot bear any more of them. That means they are expected to conceive well into middle-age, regardless of threats to their health or the health of their offspring. 6. Casting Pearls Before Swine It was also Gothard who directed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to the controversial teachings of self-proclaimed child-rearing experts Debi and Michael Pearl. Jill Duggar: Did She Just Indicate That She’s DONE Having Kids?!

Jill Duggar has two kids. That’s about the average size of an American family these days — but Jill’s is no average American family. No, Jill is a Duggar, which means she was taught from a young age that procreation is basically her sole reason for being. Right now, for example, five Duggar women are pregnant , and most of them are expected to deliver before the end of the year. Jill’s parents, of course, birthed a litter of 19 children, and several of her siblings have stated they would like to beat that family record. Some are already well on their way, including Josh and Anna Duggar who are currently expecting their sixth child . So the idea that Jill might be shutting down the baby factory after just two kids is anathema to many Duggar fans. Now, Jill and Derick haven’t officially announced that they’re through expanding their family. But the couple has dropped some intriguing hints on social media in recent weeks. The Dillards held an Instagram Live session earlier this week, and at one point the topic of kids came up (as it pretty much always does when there’s a Duggar involved). At one point Derick asked his wife , “Are you pregnant?” When Jill looked aghast, Derick clarified, “I wasn’t saying that! Somebody else [in the comments] was asking if you were pregnant.” “Jill’s not pregnant,” he told the audience. “We’re not going to be pregnant this year.” “Well, how do you know?” Jill asked, to which Derick responded, “I don’t know but, I mean. There isn’t anything you’re not telling me is there?” Dillard added: “We’re definitely not having a baby this year. That’s biologically, pretty much impossible,” A surprising number of fans took that as a revelation that Jill is struggling with infertility issues. We’re pretty sure it was just Derick’s way of making a joke, as it’s July, and are there only five months left in the year, which makes it very unlikely that Jill will be welcoming any offspring before 2020. Jill and Derick recently built a home near her parents’ house in Tontitown, Arkansas, and as you can see — it’s not terribly large. Some fans have taken this as additional evidence that the Dillards are done having kids. Of course, the size could have simply been a practical matter, as Derick is in law school , and Jill is a stay-at-home mom (pretty much the only job available to Duggar women), which means neither of them is working full-time at the moment. Their financial situation may have factored into their family planning, as well, as the Dillards may have decided they simply can’t afford more kids. But hey, we’re sure Derick will be pulling in a decent-sized lawyer income eventually, and the Dillards can always build on more rooms — if they so desire. Derick Dillard’s Brother Revealed to Be Opioid-Addicted Atheist?

It doesn’t take much to stir up controversy in the Duggar family. The Counting On Clan is so ultra-conservative that the sight of female Duggar wearing pants instead of a floor-length skirt is enough to spark a heated debate. So you can imagine Jim Bob and Michelle’s chagrin over Derick Dillard and the extent to which Jill Duggar’s husband seems to revel in stirring up scandals. As you probably know, Derick was fired from Counting On  back in 2017 after making bigoted comments about a trans teen on social media. Jill quit the show as a show of solidarity, and the couple has been doing some serious belt-tightening ever since. The Duggars preach that material wealth is a sign of God’s love and approval, so they’re probably not thrilled about Derick’s decision to toss a couple of six-figure careers out the window. But at least Jim Bob and Michelle can be glad that Jill didn’t wind up with Derick’s brother Dan. If you follow the family closely, you may know that the Duggars had some misgivings about Jill marrying into the Dillard clan, primarily because his family is made up of relatively normal people with normal problems. The Dillards are conservative evangelicals, just like the Duggars (otherwise, the union would not have been approved), but they’re not wealthy, and they’re not as absurdly orthodox in their religious beliefs. The family has endured a number of hardships, including the death of Derick’s father, as well as his mother’s battle with stage four non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Now, Cathy Dillard has detailed her fight with cancer as well as some other family travails, in the dramatically-titled memoir, I Shall Not Die: My Walk Through the Valley of Death. But thus far, the media focus on the book has had less to do with Cathy’s cancer and more to do with hints that her son Dan was briefly a non-believer with a major substance abuse problem. “As I recall, he described how he had been running from God, and he had finally quit running and surrendered, letting Jesus come in and take over,” Cathy writes. “He now realized that had been a decision of his head and not his heart,” she continues. “He had grown up in church and knew all the right things to do and say, but in his words, he had ‘been living a double life.’ He never turned his life over to Jesus.” Dan’s Facebook post seems to corroborate his mother’s account of his “misspent” youth. The father of one revealed that he was on “a path to self-destruction” as recently as 2016. “The past year has been an incredibly difficult journey full of struggles and pain, but one that I have not had to go through alone,” Dan wrote at the time. “This journey is only beginning. If you are reading this, know that I am praying for you and what you are going through right now.” While neither Dan nor his mother went into detail regarding his struggles, fans have reached some conclusions based on his involvement in the fight against opioid addiction. “Enjoyed speaking today at our Boone County Opioid Prevention Project kickoff,” Dan recently wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to the Criminal Justice Institute for their partnership in this initiative #DFC #CJI #Prevention #ReversingTrends.” Whatever his struggles may have been, however, Dan seems to have arrived at a happy ending — he and wife Deena welcomed a baby boy in September. Jill Duggar Responds to Backlash Over Kinky Sex Life With Biblical Word Salad

Last week marked 5 years since Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard in front a few thousand of her family’s closest friends (and a couple million TV viewers.) For the most part, Jill and Derick have done exactly what’s expected of them. They started cranking out kids almost immediately and boasted of their religious devotion at every opportunity – which are pretty much the two most important things any Duggar couple can do. But in many ways, Jill and Derick have defied tradition and blazed their own trail. For example, remember when Derick was fired from Counting On for hurling bigoted, transphobic statements on social media? Appalling stuff – but for many of the family’s evangelical fans, it pales in comparison to the revelation that Jill and Derick enjoy sex. Yes, the Dillards celebrated their fifth anniversary last week, and the way they chose to celebrate this raised more than a few eyebrows. They marked the occasion by combining Duggar-like wholesomeness with the kind of sexual deviancy one might expect from those sinful Kardashians. Jill and Derick went to a theme park and caught Toy Story 4 in theaters – but they also posted a photo that showed a copy of the Kama Sutra and a sex game for couples. Seriously. That was a thing that happened. And as OK! magazine points out, many of Jill’s followers were not happy about that unsolicited glimpse into her sex life. “No offense to y’all but I don’t want to know what goes on in between the sheets! Please keep it PG remember you were raised a Christian,” one person wrote . “Bible open in the background, Kama Sutra and massage oil in the foreground … just weird,” commented another “fan.” Interjected another: “Why oh why do you feel the need to post this? You wear modest clothing to keep your body covered, yet you share intimate details about your sex life with the world?” “This is very odd to me.” Some fans took issue not with the sexual nature of the post, but with the fact that Jill and Derick are endorsing a book that’s not Jesus-approved. “Am surprised you would read the Kama Sutra, it is Hindu,” one follower commented. “You are inviting Satan into your marriage.” Amazingly, Jill took the time to dignify this idiocy by responding to it. Even more amazing is the fact that she didn’t simply tell these people to take inspiration from some of the more ambitious diagrams in the Kama Sutra and go eff themselves: “We are not recommending the Kama Sutra,” Jill wrote in an edited caption for the post. “We believe marriage is ordained by God and husbands and wives should filter everything they read and hear together through the lense of the Bible and not practice anything unbiblical.” She added: “The little book pictured is a modern, smaller, cleaner, edited version that doesn’t focus on spiritual aspects, homosexual, or other extramarital relationships, and again, we don’t take everything in there either as the truth. “It is always good to be aware and careful of what we allow into our minds, hearts and marriages.” Good to know, Jill! Derick Dillard Defends Himself AGAIN: I’m NOT a Negligent Husband!

Sometimes, even terrible people make good points. Take, for example, Derick Dillard’s latest efforts to defend himself and his troubled marriage. Sure, Derick may have cheated on Jill . And it’s true that Jill quit Counting On as a gesture of solidarity after Derick got fired, thus leaving her family of four with no source of income. And yes, she’s generally subservient to him in every way, which is always an uncomfortable arrangement to behold. But when Derick defended himself against accusations that he’s a terrible husband this week, he actually made some decent arguments on his own behalf. It all started when Derick posted the above photo on his Instagram page. “Loved spending some quality time with my oldest son, who accompanied me as I wrapped up some stuff on campus today 🙂 #futurelawho,” he captioned the photo. Derick is in law school , which is a wildly time-consuming endeavor, and it’s nice that he’s found a way to combine his studies with his duties as a father. The only problem is that that post went up on Mother’s Day, and nowhere else on his social media did Derick make any mention of Jill of the holiday. Not surprisingly, fans were quick to call Derick out on this oversight. “Why don’t you post a Happy mothers day post for your wife? I mean she carried YOUR CHILDREN in her body for 9 months, and had to have a C-section(which is a major surgery) for the both of them,” wrote one follower. “Selfish and ungrateful of a husband much?” the Mother’s Day enthusiast continued. Like the rest of the Duggar clan, Derick usually ignores online trash talk. But apparently, this time it was more than he was willing to put up with. “When I post something, people say ‘why don’t you tell her yourself instead of posting about it’ and when you don’t post people say ‘you’re ungrateful’… can’t please everyone,” Dillard responded. Like we said, as much as we hate to admit it, the man has a point here. It’s a conundrum that basically every social media user is confronted with from time to time, as though there’s some specific set of laws about what should be shared and what shoud remain private. Would it have been nice if Derick had given his devoted wife a Mother’s Day shout-out? Of course, but it’s also perfectly okay if the Dillards decided to mark the occasion privately. We don’t relish having to defend Derick freakin’ Dillard, so if you’re gonna trash-talk the guy going forward, please focus on one of his many glaring character flaws so that we can join in, too. Derick Dillard to Single People: You’re All Gonna Die Alone!

Derick Dillard has a reputation for saying truly hateful and idiotic things on social media. The most famous example, of course, is Derick’s transphobic tirade against fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings, That rant got Derick fired from Counting On but apparently, it didn’t teach him to refrain from courting controversy on the internet. In addition to his presence on Twitter and Instagram, Derick sometimes takes to his family’s webpage in order to blog about his beliefs. His latest post, entitled “Confessions of a Christ-Seeking Millennial” is receiving quite the mixed reaction from fans — which is probably just what Derick wanted. “If you’re married (to a Christian or not), ‘the one’ is always going to be who you are married to. My ‘one’ is always Jill Michelle Dillard,” Derick wrote. That’s certainly an innocent — and even laudable — sentiment, but for many readers, Derick’s insights went off the rails shortly thereafter. Derick discussed his life as a series of “calculated risks,” and to the surprise of many, he listed marrying Jill Duggar as one of those risks. We suppose that’s the case with every marriage, but for many readers, it came as a shock that Derick articulated that thought. He went on to surprise fans further by encouraging them to “settle” rather than holding out for their ideal partner. “If you aren’t married, don’t wait for a perfect person because you’ll just die single,” Derick wrote. As far as Duggar ideas about marriage go, this one is fairly non-controversial. There’s a school of thought which holds that the idea of a “soul mate” is absurd, and single people should focus on building healthy relationships, rather than seeking out flawless mates. But coming as it did in the context of a blog post about his life and marriage, many took Derick’s comments as an indication that he believes he settled for Jill. That’s probably not what Derick meant — but then again, the man likes stirring up controversy, so who knows? If any Duggar in-law is arrogant enough to believe he settled for his famous bride, it would certainly be Derick. Of course, we don’t want to go putting words in his mouth. Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club: Ambassador Fired After Sticking Bread Up His Butt!

Mykonos, Greece is happily waving goodbye to yet another one of Lindsay Lohan’s ambassadors.  With the summer coming to an end, Lindsay and sidekick Panos have gifted a fair warning to their young  workers that some major cut backs are on the horizon . But on last night’s episode of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club , one of them made their decision A LOT easier. Making out with VIP clients, throwing back shots with them and washing their feet was all fair game earlier on in the season, but Lindsay means business and is not putting up with any more of their childish behavior. Especially when it comes to stripping!  Most of the drama revolved around Mike who was trying way too hard to make sure Sophie and Nathan, from Geordie Shore – the UK’s attempt at Jersey Shore , were having a good time.  First, Mike kissed Sophie after doing a body shot off of her belly button, before flirting and giving Nathan sensual messages. Mike took things a step further when he offered Nathan his own swimsuit to go for a swim in the ocean, stripping it off in the cabana before parading around the beach club with his hands all over his junk.  Following that perfect reality TV (yet totally discourteous) behavior,  he then proceeded to put a piece of bread up his butt , telling Nathan to “eat it.” He eventually got busted by security, who warned him that there were children all around, adding that “it’s a family kind of beach.” Though Mike didn’t see the problem and argued that people were nude on the beach all the time, he finally put his shorts back on.  The club’s general manager quickly filled Lindsay in on his foolishness, the 32-year-old former actress was obviously livid and ready to drop the axe.  “Who does that fall back on at the end of the day? Not even you, me,” she vented to Panos, reiterating the importance of protecting her “brand.” “This is completely unacceptable,” she added in her testimonial.  “Mike didn’t just like moon people, he took his pants off. It’s so disrespectful and it makes me look like a horrible person and that I’m not a good boss and that I’m not good at doing this job.” The episode concluded with the entire crew getting their assignments for next week from Panos, but when it came Mike’s turn he had nothing to offer. “As for you, Mike, I was at Lindsay’s villa yesterday,” he said, before explaining the phone call from the GM.  “There were small kids there watching the whole situation. You should pack your stuff then and leave.” “I want you out of here,” he boldly stated.  Catching a glimpse into next week’s preview, we see Mike fight to win back his job.
