In those documents obtained by 11Alive , Crawford was allegedly strangled and smothered to death by both her roommate Jordyn Jones and Jones’ boyfriend, Barron Brantley after a physical altercation with Jones. Both Jones and Brantley have been charged with murder in her death. According to a Homicide Unit summary, Jones, Crawford’s roommate got into a fight with her on Halloween. Brantley, according to the report, got involved in the fight and choked Crawford with his hands. The warrant for Jones alleges the CAU student “smothered the victim” with “a black trash bag until she stopped breathing and was deceased.” The summary continued by stating that both Jones and Brantley placed Crawford’s body in a plastic bin and then dumped it in Exchange Park in Decatur before moving to a wooded area nearby. Both are due in court next week. Crawford’s funeral is set for Saturday at Hill Chapel Baptist Church.

The details continue to be shocking and tragic. According to 11Alive , the 21-year-old Clark Atlanta University student was allegedly strangled and smothered to death after a physical altercation with her roommate. Crawford was first reported missing on Nov. 1 and authorities finally found her body in a DeKalb County park last Friday. According to a Homicide Unit summary, Jordyn Jones — Crawford’s roommate and seemingly best friend — got into a physical altercation with Crawford on Halloween. The report further noted that 21-year-old Barron Brantley , Jones’ boyfriend, got involved in the fight and ended up choking Crawford to death with his hands. The warrant for Jones also claims that she “did smother the victim, Alexis Crawford, with a black trash bag until Crawford stopped breathing and was deceased.” Investigators said Brantley admitted these details in an interview on Friday. The homicide summary goes on to say that Jones and Brantley put Crawford in a plastic bin and took her body to Exchange Park in Decatur. From there, they placed her body in a wooded area. A Fulton County Superior Court pretrial report said that Jones’ father told the court that Jordyn is also on probation for a DUI in Michigan. Jones is set to appear in court on Nov. 25 and Brantley is scheduled for Nov. 22. Crawford’s family was rightfully shocked by her death, especially considering her roommate is the prime suspect. Rev. Markel Hutchins spoke on behalf of the family and said Jones “spent time with the family, in the family home.” He continued, “They knew Jordyn, they liked Jordyn. There was never a reason to suspect that Jordyn would do anything wrong or ill to Alexis. One family member described them as two peas in a pod. … To go from that to where we are today, it’s unthinkable, unspeakable.” When Crawford was reported missing, Jones initially told investigators that Crawford asked her for a ride to the liquor store on Oct. 30 at about 11:30 p.m. Jones then said that they returned home and that she last saw Crawford around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 before going to bed for the night. It was later revealed that Crawford filed a police report saying she was sexually assaulted before going missing, however it appears that law enforcement didn’t take any action. The Washington Post reported, “Crawford told authorities that Brantley had rubbed her shoulder with his hand and kissed her on the neck as they drank together, according to a police report. Crawford told police Brantley said he’d mistaken her for his girlfriend — Crawford’s roommate, Jones.” Crawford claimed that Brantley locked “her inside the bathroom wearing only a bra, the report states. It’s unclear exactly when Jones found her roommate.” A “pair of cut panties” were found in the bathroom. Jones alleged Crawford “had passed out” and Brantley denied having sex with her. There’s no word yet if the alleged physical altercation between Crawford, Jones and Brantley was related to Crawford’s alleged sexual assault. Crawford’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 12 p.m. at Hill Chapel Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, the student’s hometown. Her Columbian niece, who has Down Syndrome, is now cancer-free after a two-year battle with leukemia! Paola Mayfield took to Instagram this week to make a very special announcement. “Last year I went to Colombia when I was pregnant,” her caption begins, explaining why she appears pregnant in the accompanying photo. She explained: “I needed to see my sister and my niece.” “My niece has Down Syndrome,” Paola notes, “and had been battling leukemia for about 2 years.” Here is the photo. Paola’s young neice is adorable! “But TODAY we received the greatest news!” Paola proclaims. She writes: “She is finally cancer free!” Childhood leukemia is a true horror and we are so, so pleased to hear this! “With tears in my eyes,” Paola’s heartfelt caption continues, “I feel full of joy and happiness.” She very well should! Paola explains that this is such a relief “because I know how hard it has been the past few years for my sister.” We have a sneaking suspicion that this was no cakewalk for her niece, either. “For those who battle everyday to have another day of life,” Paola advises. “Stay strong and don’t lose faith.” The beloved reality star then adds a string of red hear emojis. Paola concludes her post by writing: “Thank you.” For some reason — possibly fearing that trolls have no qualms and consider no subject to be sacred — Pao has deactivated replies to the post. Down Syndrome is also known as Trisomy 21, and it means that there are three twenty-first chromosomes instead of the usual pairing. This mutation, usually detectable before birth, can cause cognitive delays along with a series of tell-tale traits. Individuals with Down Syndrome can lead fulfilling lives, complete their education, and overcome stigma. However, some babies with Down Syndrome require major heart surgery within days of birth. Others simply die. Thinking about it, Paola’s niece battling leukemia may have been a factor, combined with Pao’s previous miscarriage, behind her behavior early this year. As fans of 90 Day Fiance may recall, she was weirdly possessive of baby Axel after his birth. She seemed unwilling to allow Russ or Russ’ mother to hold or be alone with her son, which was very distressing. Worse, Pao admitted to vaccine hesitancy, confessing that they would pick and choose which vaccinations Axel received. That’s not okay. Paola, seen here feeding celery juice (the very concept of which makes me shudder) to baby Axel, has clear concerns about her son’s health. Does she hope that giving him all-organic foods and denying him much-needed vaccines will ensure that he does not repeat her niece’s horror? That might explain, but not excuse, some of her post-partum struggles that shocked fans earlier this year. Not exactly the best way to jog everyone’s memory about your rap career. According to TMZ , Zoe got popped early Sunday morning (Nov. 3) in Monroe County, Florida after cops were summoned to La Siesta Resort by security. They say Zoe got into a physical altercation with a woman on his hotel room balcony. According to the police report, the former Boyz N Da Hood rapper was seen trying to shove the woman back into the hotel room, eventually knocking her to the ground. However, she managed to lock him out on the balcony while she was in the room. But this is only the start of the struggle. Zoe reportedly began kicking and punching the door, and the woman eventually let him back in. By this time the police arrived and witnessed the rapper “pinning his girlfriend” to the ground. And this is where the struggle expands exponentially. After the cops separated the not so happy couple, she reportedly began defending Zoe. She allegedly claimed they always argue when they drink. The Atlanta-based rapper is currently awaiting a court date to resolve his status and ability to travel abroad but at the moment isn’t allowed to leave the United States to do one of the more financially significant portions of his profession. TMZ reports : As TMZ reported … Savage was arrested in Atlanta back in February and placed in ICE custody. Turns out he entered the U.S. legally from the UK back in 2005, but his visa expired and he’s been here illegally for years. The rapper wasn’t even able to get a work permit for 8 months, which meant he couldn’t work domestically. He finally got one last month, so at least now he can work in the U.S. … but traveling out of the country is out of the question until he gets things cleared up with immigration. The outlet adds that immigration courts in Atlanta have been besieged by a record number of cases, causing an effectual logjam of sorts. If you’re a Teen Mom 2 fan, then you’re probably aware that Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry are not the best of friends. And by “not the best of friends,” we mean earlier this year, Jenelle literally set fire to a peace offering from Kail and posted the video on Instagram. But hard times often make for strange bedfellows. And it seems Lowry would be more than happy to reach out to Evans in her time of need — and maybe even try once again to repair their fractured relationship. As you’ve likely heard by now, Jenelle has filed for divorce from David Eason . This could signal a new start for Evans in more ways than one. After all, David is the main reason Jenelle got fired from Teen Mom 2 , and when he shot her French bulldog Nugget, he also helped kill what was left of her reputation. (Evans was never well-liked by viewers, but helping a dog killer conceal his crime was the last straw for many.) In the wake of the divorce, Jenelle has mostly steered clear of social media, which is probably a wise decision, and not only for legal reasons. Evans likely has a complex story to tell, and she’ll need to capture every nuance if she wants to gain the sympathy of a public she’s been alienating for the past decade. That can be hard to do in a tweet thread. And that’s where Kail comes in. Lowry is the host of the popular Coffee Convos podcast, and it seems she’d be open to interviewing Jenelle for her audience. “If the latest news about Jenelle is true, would you and @LindsieChrisley be willing to have her on the podcast to tell her story if she was open to it?” a fan recently tweeted to Kail. “For sure!” Lowry replied . “I texted that in my group text with my producers… I just don’t have a way to contact her.” Based on the response she received, it seems that such an interview would be a hit with fans. “I would love for yall to reconnect and see you help her thru this,” one follower commented. “You and @TMLeahDawn – she needs strong friendships,” another wrote. Jenelle’s Teen Mom co-stars helping her through her divorce would be the twist no one saw coming. Evans didn’t get along with any of the other moms during her time on the show, and in her divorce announcement, she credited her time away from TV with giving her the clarity she needed to realize her marriage isn’t working: “With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” Evans wrote on Instagram last week. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids,” she added. “Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am,” Jenelle wrote, concluding: “Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon.” Jenelle’s re-entry into public life won’t be easy. And she may find that the harm she did to her public image with her years of bigotry and abusive behavior is irreparable.
