Kelly Dodd: Vicki Gunvalson Bought Her OWN Engagement Ring, LOL

Despite being on the receiving end of some nasty name-calling last week, Vicki Gunvalson was in high spirits on this week’s episode. The Real Housewives of Orange County showed Vicki and Steve both hyped for their then-impending engagement. But Kelly Dodd has dropped a bombshell. Did Vicki buy the ring herself as a prop for a TV stunt? On this week’s The Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson was on the hunt. She was scrambling through Steve Lodge’s golf cart for an engagement ring that she was just certain he was hiding there. At the same time as she was snooping through Steve’s belongings, Steve confirmed to Tamra that Vicki was exactly right. Steve shared that he was “already planning my proposal. I already have the ring. Everything’s set to go.” But one person just wasn’t willing to buy this as an authentic storyline — and that person was Kelly. Kelly Dodd took to social media as the episode aired to call out Vicki and make an astounding claim. “You know where the ring is of course,” Kelly accused on Twitter. She explained why Vicki must know the truth: “Cuz you bought the ring.” While Vicki Gunvalson would not be the first reality star to purchase her own engagement ring, we don’t know that Kelly is right about this. But if so, it would make this engagement look more like a stunt for TV than a real plan to get married. Kelly’s accusation of course earned her a Twitter user asking “Where’s your ring, Kelly Dodd?” “It’s coming!!” Kelly vowed. “Watch baby!” She then added an emoji of a baby’s milk bottle, which unless you’re breastfeeding, speaking of a literal baby, or have a particular kink is … weird. But it sounds like Kelly is every bit as confident in her own romantic prospects as she is in her claims about Vicki. Kelly also claimed that her ex, Dr. Brian, also offered her a ring of her own, and … fans are not sure what to believe about that. Fans have worried about Kelly’s alarming behavior for a while, and some are afraid that she’s out for blood. “Vicki and Steve, Congratulations on your engagement!” one fan wrote Thursday morning beside Vicki’s sweet engagement photo from April. “I am very happy for you both,” the fan expressed. “Please have a lovely wedding.” The follower then warned: “Don’t invite Kelly Dodds as she is nota friend and out to create nothing but trouble for any of you.” Ooh, that sounds dire! “Go on with your lifes and ignore all she says,” the fan counseled. The comment continued: “She must be very unhappy herself as she isn’t focused on her own happiness.” The fan opines that Kelly is interested in “just stirring the the pot, so to speak!” “You both make a beautiful couple,” the follower praised, concluding: “God Bless, Peace, Happiness, Love Forever” That is some nice, if thoroughly unsolicited, advice. Honestly … maybe the weirdest part of this whole thing was seeing Vicki root around through Steve’s stuff for the ring. Searching someone else’s belongings is not okay, and not indicative of a healthy relationship. But we have to remember that it’s not like Vicki was secretly caught doing this. She knew that the cameras were rolling. And she had also known for months that the engagement was coming up. The search for the ring was, well, TV drama. Kelly Dodd: REALLY Engaged to Rick Leventhal After Only Two Months?!

It's probably true that Kelly Dodd has never even had a threesome , but that doesn't mean that she doesn't chase down romance. She has been dating Rick Leventhal for a couple of months, and has now revealed that she's engaged . Some fans think that she's joking. Castmates Vicki and Tamra think that she's lying, drunk, or both. Kelly Dodd was giving boyfriend Rick Leventhal a rave review on Instagram when one of her followers chimed in. The fan appreciated how Rick is “normal and works for Fox,’ which the fan expressed meant that he earned a “10/10 perfect score.” While not everyone would consider a Fox News correspondent to have a normal or even acceptable job, Kelly's reply was a massive shocker. Kelly wrote: “that’s weird because we are getting married 10/10/2020.” Announcing an engagement was surprising enough. Announcing the wedding date was absolutely mind-boggling. Kelly's rivals from The Real Housewives of Orange County  aren't buying Kelly's announcement for a second. On Watch What Happens Live , Andy Cohen (who's still trying to make that beard happen) asks what the ladies think of Kelly's post. “They just met!” Tamra Judge screeches from the audience, where she is wearing a mic. “They just met!” “I'm literally in shock,” Vicki — who looks great, by the way — admits to Andy. “Like, it is ridiculous,” the OG in the OC points out. “I don't even think it's been two months.” When Andy asks Vicki and Tamra whether they think that Kelly's announcement was real, they give similar answers. “I think Kelly wants to be married,” Vicki expresses. “No,” Tamra says immediately. “She was probably drunk.” “You saw her this season asking, um, Doctor Brian about rings,” Vicki points out. Tamra cracks: “She's been reading Brandi [Glanville]'s book: Tweeting, Drinking, and Tweeting ,” Tamra suggests. “Oh my god,” Andy marvels. “You're in a Twitter war with Brandi but you're also plugging her book. I like it!” Yes, Tamra and Brandi's Twitter feud has been vicious on both sides. Vicki then gets into a bit of flirtation with Andy's other guest, but we're reasonably confident that it's going nowhere — for a lot of reasons. Still, Vicki never gave a solid “yes” or “no” as to what she believes that Kelly really meant by her comment. Is she just desperate enough to be married that she'd make up a wedding date as a joke? Or … is she desperate enough to be married that she's already engaged to a man she's known for only a couple of months? In case you hadn't noticed, Kelly has very much broken things off with Doctor Brian. (A shocking number of people who follow Kelly on Instagram apparently can't be bothered to keep up with her life; Instagram is where she announced the split) In a vague video that appeared to be filled with alcohol, she announced her breakup to her fans and followers. While it's true that she was strongly fishing for an engagement a few months ago, clearly something had changed. Kelly intimated that Doctor Brian knew exactly why she was ditching him. She did not opt to explain to her fans, however. Our guess? Kelly isn't engaged just yet, but decided to “joke” about how much she'd like to marry Rick. You know, like when two friends “joke” about wanting to bone the other and it's all fun and games until the other suggests that they're down for it? Well, that may be Kelly's situation. That wedding date will remain a “joke” right up until Rick goes “actually, want to really do it?”

Bachelor in Paradise Recap: A Fight Breaks Out Over a Pinata

Welp. That sure got ugly in a hurry. On Tuesday night’s intense episode of Bachelor in Paradise, two contestants got into a legitimate fight — and here’s the truly shocking part… … neither of these contestants was Blake. Indeed, the polarizing sex fiend who has been at the center of most Season 6 installments to date mostly sat this one out last night. Hence why his face was left without a scratch on it at the end of the two hours. The same can’t be said for Jordan Kimball and Christian Estrada. How did this all begin? With Christian not wasting any time asking out Nicole Lopez-Alvar, as all viewers witnessed the instant chemisty between these two. What about Clay Harbor, who was concerned that the only woman in which he interested in was slipping away? Nicole believed Clay to be overly passive… yet he earned an opportunity to show his slightly more assertive side when Christian attempted to steal Nicole again after their date. The guys strangely held hands as they argued over who she should get to spend time with her, only for Nicole to eventually choose Clay, who admitted to being “jittery” after this confrontation. Got it? Following along so far? Okay then… it’s now time to talk about Jordan. He already had beef with Christian prior to Bachelor for Paradise. And then Christian set up a piñata for Nicole during the cocktail party and, after Christian told Clay to go away, Jordan felt an urge to stand up for his friend. Therefore, he tried to take down the piñata, resulting in an actual fight between him and Christian. “Don’t touch my pinata,” said Christian, who had only just been trying to convince Nicole he’s a sweet guy. He then grabbed Jordan, and Jordan grabbed him, and then that’s all we got because ABC got a “to be continued” in order to tease the fallout that will air next week. BOOOOO!!!!!! Watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 Episode 4 Online Elsewhere, Dylan Barbour struggled to comprehend why Hannah Godwin was willing to give Blake Horstmann a chance in any way, shape or form. He pressed her about her interest in this loser — and she finally divulged that Blake visited her in Alabama a week before Paradise.  What the heck is up with this guy and all his previous connections to the females on the island?!? He and Hannah even kissed during the pre-show meetup, as Dylan expressed pain over the fact that Hannah hid this information from him. Tayshia Adams, meanwhile, confronted Hannah for withholding the Blake hangout from her, considering Blake Horstmann took her on a date during week one of Season 6 . Adams felt blindsided, which was the same feeling she and Hannah both experienced during Colton Underwood’s season. Hannah did not really appreciate the candid conversation, saying that Blake’s visit was “private” and she didn’t share the story out of respect for him. (Ummm… talk about IRONIC , huh?!?) Hannah thought the show was a better outlet to figure out their connection and later claimed Tayshia “mean girled” her. Also on avery busy episode: Dean Unglert caught Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ eye upon his arrival. However, she grew irritated upon accusing Kristina Schulman of “slut-shaming me across this entire beach.” Dean, who wanted to make up for his earlier sins, didn’t seem to mind her tears, asking her on a date despite the breakdown. Or maybe because of it. He and Caelynn ended up making out in the pool. Finally, Demi Burnett and Derek Peth seemed like the only strong, solid couple in all of Paradise…. but she was secretly conflicted because of the woman she had been dating in Los Angeles before the show. Yes, we said woman . Bachelor in Paradise Trailer: Demi Burnett Kisses a Woman!!!!! Burnett missed her and still thought about her. Like, a lot . She later came out as sexually fluid to several people, but hesitated to tell Derek because she didn’t want the revelation to ruin their connection. In the end, though, she opened up and was relieved by his accepting reaction.

The Real Housewives of Orange Country Recap: Vicki Gunvalson Flips Out Over Pig Video!

Vicki Gunvalson may no longer be a regular cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County, but her presence was felt on Tuesday’s explosive installment.  Kelly Dodd decided it was time to get some revenge on Vicki when she learned that her daughter had to make her Instagram page private following Vicki’s claims that Kelly was taking cocaine.  Poor Jolie had received some horrifying messages on the social media site, and Kelly was livid.  Elsewhere, Tamra Judge was put on the spot by husband Eddie about her fraught relationship with Vicki and asked whether she would forgive her former friend.  “There’s a big part of me that just doesn’t trust her anymore,” Tamra replied. “And when she texts me how she hates Gina [Kirschenheiter], and then I hear from Gina, and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, [Vicki] called me, and she was so nice and sweet!’ When she got a DUI, Vicki sent me the article and was like, ‘Hahahaha.’ So don’t call somebody and worry about them when you’re talking shit about them!” Eddie wondered why Vicki would act that way, prompting Tamra to say the following:  “Vicki is the most insecure person I have ever met in my life.” Yikes, right?  Tamra followed that up with a confessional in which she said she’s “known Vicki for 14 years, and I still can’t figure her out.” “She’s got a devil and an angel. She’s got like a very sweet motherly person, and that’s the Vicki I like. And then she’s got this horrible side to her. I never know which Vicki I’m getting.” Viewers were then shown a screenshot of the group chat between Tamra, Vicki, and Shanon Beador.  Beador wrote,” Gina was arrested for DUI last night. And she said I was self-medicating…” Vicki said: “So ridiculous…another jailbird…irresponsible.” Shannon replied, “Yup. And she blew a stop sign earlier this month. So stupid. And at 3:43 am?????” Tamra later told Shannon that Vicki wanted to bring up the pig video. The video in question was an animated pig that spoke with Kelly’s voice.  “You wanna f–k with me, you little pig of a f–king bitch?!” the hilarious video begins. “That’s exactly what’s gonna happen to you. Don’t f–king text me! Don’t write to me. You blocked me. I can do whatever you want. You look like shit, so hahahahaha, woohoohoohoohoo, hahahahaha.” But why did Kelly think a pig would hit Vicki right in the feels? “Slade Smiley called Vicki a pig on stage in front of hundreds of people [years ago],” Tamra revealed. Kelly knows that’s a sore subject with Vicki. She got very insecure, even had her nose done because she didn’t wanna look like a pig! It’s really a low blow.” Kelly arrived with her pal and new housewife, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and immediately said she did not want to meet Vicki.  “Ugh, God, Vicki’s here,” Kelly complained. Vicki greeted everyone, including Kelly, but decided to forego welcoming the new housewife to the fold. However, she chatted up her husband, Sean.  Kelly tried to bite her tongue but quickly made her way over to Emily and Gina to admit that she would “not f–king engage in that bitch. There’s no way.” When all the housewives were at the table, Vicki popped up, and Kelly made a mad dash away from it.  “Did you ladies hear the nice pig emoji that she did about me, saying that I look like shit?” Vicki wondered. Emily said, “I think you look beautiful.” “Well, regardless, you don’t say that to another woman,” Vicki shot back, and Emily agreed.  “We’re all who we are. I’m a product of my mother and my father — with a couple of little tweaks,” Vicki said. Emily went to find Kelly and told her about PigGate, and Gina and Shannon were already there.  “Vicki tells them about the pig emoji, but she didn’t reiterate about the, uh,” Kelly said, clearly confused.  “She sent me this huge text about ‘stop this, you don’t do this, don’t do this, don’t do that.’ As my response, I did a pig emoji right back at her, and I just said what I wanted to say.” Kelly said that she sent the pig emoji because she “didn’t want to type out a whole dissertation on why [Vicki’s] a piece of shit. I just did a mirror image of what she looks like. So oink, oink.” While that was going down, Vicki told Tamra that she wanted to confront Kelly, but Tamra said that Vicki was just as bad with the cocaine allegations.  “Okay! She called me fat!” Vicki yelled back.  Tamra tried to get Kelly to meet with Vicki to hear what she had to say, but Kelly said Vicki “completely ruined” her reputation and that wasn’t something she was going to forget.  Vicki tried to speak to Kelly several times at the party thanks to a nudge from her pals, but Kelly complained that wanted nothing to do with Vicki.  “Leave me alone!” Kelly yelled as Vicki tried to say that she cared about her.  “You don’t understand what you have done to me!” Kelly shouted. “You have hurt my daughter! Vicki Gunvalson: Even I Have No Idea Why I Got Demoted!

Even though reports warned of it as far back as January, some fans are still in shock over Vicki Gunvalson’s demotion . The OG of the OC is just a “Friend” on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County . Now, she’s admitting on social media that even she doesn’t know why she lost her orange. Through thick and thin, Vicki has been active on Instagram this year. A lot of that time has been spent shooting down rumors — even rumors that ultimately turned out to be true. Fans know that Instagram is a place where they can, on occassion, reach her and even elicit a response. With the news of her demotion, some aren’t sure what to think about the show or its future. “Why were you demoted?” asked one fan who continues to struggle with this major shake-up. The follower confessed: “I don’t understand.” “I don’t really know,” Vicki admitted in her reply. That must be a haunting feeling for one of the most famous faces in an entire franchise. She then speculated: “I think they wanted to change it up.” Perhaps. It has also been suggested that it was as serious as a punishment for Vicki’s habit of spreading malicious rumors that were too much for Bravo. Other reports have said that it was, much more simply, Vicki’s apparent lack of a storyline. Admitting that she can’t explain her demotion is not all that Vicki has had to say recently on social media. Last week, reports circulated that Vicki would rather quit than go another season as a “Friend” of the Housewives. That’s no real surprise — many find a demotion like that humiliating. Famously, NeNe Leakes quit rather than be demoted. When ratings tanked, Bravo welcomed her back with a massive pay raise. Many had hoped that Vicki would try something similar. But Vicki says that the story that she’d rather quit than be a “Friend” for another season is nothing but a load of hooplah. “None of this is true!!” Vicki declared when she saw the original report by RadarOnline . She then asked: “Where do you get your information from???” “It’s all incorrect,” Vicki clarified. We somehow suspect that the folks over at RadarOnline won’t lose any sleep over this, but it’s great that Vicki let her fans know. Vicki continued her negotiations with Bravo early this year, missing the first couple of weeks of filming. Eventually, she reached some sort of agreement, but nothing was ever officially confirmed. It was said at one point that she would get engaged to and marry Steve Lodge in an effort to save her job. Sure enough, early this spring, Steve proposed to Vicki. She shared the happy news on Instagram, and her fans breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that this would give her enough of a storyline to remain a Full Housewife. Plus, you know, they were just happy for her. The reality is that producers and network folks have a lot to weigh when it comes to deciding on casting. Who joins the cast? Who leaves? Who becomes a Full Housewife, who stays one, and who gets demoted to Friend status? These are all based upon ratings and production expenses and various complications. It sounds like a real headache. The advantage of a long-running, successful series is that, as Vicki says, sometimes they may just want to “change it up.” If the change doesn’t go over well with the audience, they can change it right back. RHOC Season 14 Trailer: "I’m Not a F-cking Whore!"

The Real Housewives of Orange County will look different than it has in past seasons when it returns with new episodes this summer. Why? Because Vicki Gunvalson has been demoted. She's been downgraded to the status of “friend,” as opposed to full-time cast member. This sort of sucks, and yet one thing is made clear by the preview featured here: Gunvalson will still be at the forefront of lots of drama on Season 14. Despite Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Braunwyn Windham-Burke announced by Bravo at this season's leading ladies, Vicki is slammed as a “con woman” and a “crook” in this trailer. And long-time viewers can guess who's doing the slamming, right? Yup: Vicki's rival, Kelly Dodd. Gunvalson comes right back at Dodd in the footage, accusing her of being a bully. But it's a couple different descriptions that really gnaw at Kelly and prompt a response. “I don’t do cocaine, and I’m not a f-cking whore,” she says, seemingly replying to the claims Vicki had made at last year’s reunion. Elsewhere, Gina – who joined the cast in season 13 – grows emotional presumably about her arrest for drunk driving. “It just hurts. It’s so unfair,” she says to Shannon, who reassures her, “I’ll be there for you.” The women later make the surprising decision go to a therapy healing session to help them each through the traumas in their lives – but it’s unsure if it actually helps. It may actually end up hurting. As for Gunvalson and her reaction to getting demoted? “For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the 'OG of the OC,'” she wrote on Instagram after the news broke, adding: “I am back again this season right in the middle of the action, and I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.” As for new addition Braunwyn? She's a mother of seven – yes, SEVEN! – with a full house that includes a baby, toddler, twin kindergarteners and three teenagers. When she's not escaping to her love shack with husband Sean, Braunwyn is always ready for a mom’s night out as she gets to know these OC ladies in more ways than one, writes Bravo as part of the official network synopsis. Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres on Bravo Tuesday, August 6, at 9/8c. Will you be tuning in for it?

Vicki Gunvalson: Not Even Meghan King Edmonds Deserves to Be Cheated On!

Former The Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds is enduring her husband Jim Edmonds’ ugly cheating scandal . Meghan opened up about her feelings, and her former castmates are sending their sympathies. Even Vicki Gunvalson feels for her — despite having once predicted the collapse of the Edmonds marriage. On Friday, Meghan spoke out about her husband’s affair, confirming everything despite his denials. “I’m sad,” she tweeted alongside a link. “I’ve written about it in my blog.” “I’m so sorry,” Vicki Gunvalson wrote in response. “You are right, YOU did not deserve this.” Some were surprised to see such a heartfelt and sympathetic message from Vicki. After all, this is the woman who once predicted to Meghan’s face that her marriage was doomed to not last very long. Meghan joked about passing Vicki’s predicted threshold a couple of years ago, and Vicki shared that she had retracted her assessment. As we reported on Saturday, Meghan King Edmonds no longer trusts her husband . This isn’t tabloid speculation — she said as much in her own words. “I found out the same way you guys did: in the tabloids,” Meghan revealed on her blog. “I never left a voicemail for the other woman,” she shared. “I called Jimmy and he confessed to me that he had exchanged lewd photos with this woman over the course of several months,” Meghan wrote. “And,” she added, Jim told her that “a physical relationship never existed.” Meghan writes that Jim told her that “He paid her off to protect me so I’d never find out.” “Do I believe him?” she asks. “I don’t know. To us?” Meghan asks. “It wasn’t one mistake,” she characteriszes “One lapse in judgement.” “I saw the texts – each one represents his decision to throw our marriage in the trash,” she writes. “Why did he self-sabotage?” Meghan asks. “And who sends nudies?” It’s not clear if she’s correctly shaming people for sending nudes while married, or incorrectly shaming people for sending nudes period. (For the record, they’re called nudes , not nudies , and almost everyone on the planet sends them) “Doesn’t everyone know better than this in 2019?” Meghan asks. “What drives someone to self-destruct in such a way?” “And all of this could not have come at a worse time,” Meghan writes. “Again, something I wasn’t ready to share but here I am sharing it,” she adds. Meghan announces: “we are worried our son, Hart, might have a neurological disorder.” “It’s been the most trying last couple months of my entire life and we still don’t have answers,” Meghan laments. “Sometimes I leave the house after the kids go to bed so I can drive around and ugly cry in the dark with no one around,” she confesses. “Now I have this to deal with,” Meghan bemoans. “My one true love betraying me in the most disgusting and public way possible.” “I do not fault any other person except my husband,” she emphasizes. “There are so many people out there with bad intentions.” “And it’s our responsibility to ignore and rise above,” Meghan correctly states. “One slimy person doesn’t make another person cheat.” In other words, she’s not pushing any “homewrecker” BS. “Ultimately,” Meghan expresses in her blog post. “I have hope our marriage can recover.” Vicki wasn’t the only former castmate to send Meghan well wishes. “Healing takes time,” Tamra Judge writes. “My heart hurts for you Meg. Wish I could give you a big hug.” “Thinking of you Meg. Love you,” comments Lizzie Rovsek. Gretchen Rossi expresses: “I’m so sorry you are going through this. Kim Kardashian is Accused of Murder in This KUWTK Clip

Kim Kardashian has been working a lot of late to help free inmates who have been imprisoned for all the wrong reasons. But here's the ironic thing, based on the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clip featured on this page: Kim herself might soon get arrested… FOR MURDER! Okay, fine. We might be exaggerating a little bit here. However, a quasi family member does end up dead on Sunday night's brand new episode of this E! reality series. “Kim, the hamster hasn't been moving. So you might want to go look at it,” the star's assistant, Michael, tells his boss in this footage, referring to the animal that Khloe got for her niece, sort of against Kim's wishes. “It's dead? I don't have time for a dead hamster,” Kim responds before going to investigate. (We mean, no one really has time for a dead hamster, Kim. But this isn't about you.) As pure luck would have it, Kim is on the phone with Khloe when this tragedy occurred. After taking a look at the critter's cage, Kim delcares simply: “The hamster is dead.” When Khloe asks if young North is aware that her pet has passed, Kim grapples with how to tell her daughter the sad news. “She's at school. I don't know how I'm going to say, 'Oh, and by the way your hamster died,'” Kim says. This actually is a legitimate issue parents face all the time; what do you say when a cat or dog or fish or hamster passes away? It's a legitimately difficult topic and debate. In this case, we don't really get an answer. Later, via a confessional, the beauty mogul struggles with how to soften the blow for her five-year old daughter. “North is going to be really, really upset. It's just not fair … how do I go and explain this,” she wonders. Honestly, Kim has probably never seemed more relatable that she does in this clip. “This kind of sh-t I can't deal with. This is why you don't give someone a pet. Don't ever do this to me again, I literally hate you,” she tells Khloe before getting off the phone. Yikes, huh? Be sure to watch all the way until the end to see the quip Khloe gets in before the clip cuts off. She never fails to crack us up.

Vicki Gunvalson: I Will NEVER Be Demoted to Friend of the Housewives!

Even though Vicki Gunvalson is engaged to Steve Lodge as promised, there are still warning signs that she may have been demoted. Is the OG of the OC now a mere “Friend” of the Housewives? That worry is keeping some fans up at night. But Vicki seemingly insists that it’s not the case. Take a look: As rumors of Vicki’s departure continue to worry fans, some are looking to Vicki herself for reassurance. “Please say you’re full time this season?” begged one fan in an Instagram comment. “So many reports saying you’re a ‘friend of.'” Vicki saw the comment and responded. “Stay tuned,” she urged the follower in her reply. Vicki added a promise: “I’ll never be just a ‘friend.'”

Vicki Gunvalson: Dropped From the Real Housewives of Orange County?

Is she a  Real Housewife or not? This is the burning question srrounding Orange County OG Vicki Gunvalson as we build up to the show’s 14th season. Since rumors of her demotion sprang up in February, Vicki’s been scrambling to show fans and producers alike that she’s relevant enough to remain a full cast member. Vicki’s engagement to Steve Lodge in April was her most recent attempt to offer up something, anything, for the series to use as a storyline. It seemed like the engagement was supposed to save Vicki’s role as a Full Housewife for season 14.  We can even imagine the eventual wedding being perfect fodder for season 15, with a scintillating divorce playing out across later seasons. Well played, Vicki. But if Vicki’s role is truly safe, why is she absent from the show’s promotional material? An inside source told Us Weekly that Vicki was excluded from the rest of the housewives’ group cast photos. “Last week, the RHOC cast shot their official photos for the next season,” the insider revealed. “Vicki was not included in the group cast photos and they shot multiple options,” the source continued. These annual group cast photos are the ones you’ll likely see over and over again throughout the season, wherever the series is advertised. So it’s a pretty big deal for the show’s longest-running cast member to be missing from the shot. If the photographers shot mutliple options for the group and didnt include Vicki in any of them, it seems clear that her ouster was intentional. Although she didn’t pose for the group photo, Vicki was present on the set during the photoshoot,  Us Weekly reports.  If she got called to the set, she’s almost sure to appear on the show in some capacity. But it’s looking more likely that she’ll have a reduced role, as fans have speculated Rumors began to surface in February that Vicki had been demoted to “Friend” of the Housewives , a more ancillary role with presumably less screen time.  It made sense. Vicki’s been on the show a long time after all, and the show needs to make room for new housewives, like this season’s Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Vicki also recently squashed her beef with castmates Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, which is great for their personal lives, but not great for our entertainment. Shannon has her ongoing divorce drama with David Beador, and Tamra is the kind of walking nightmare that always gets great ratings, so they’re both easy picks to keep. Vicki was quick to dismiss the demotion rumors on Twitter, urging fans not to believe anything they didn’t hear straight from her.  Okay fine, but for her to still be in negotiations after the season had already started filming is a pretty good sign that her status was up in the air. Evidence of Vicki being put on the backburner has only piled up since then. Inside sources report she took a 50% pay cut for any potential episodes. And reports say she’s been a holy terror to her costars on set , in an attempt to amp up the drama (and her screen presence). We also know that Bravo’s cameras were present and rolling for Steve’s proposal to Vicki. So, even if she has been friend-zoned, we’re sure to get some juicy moments with Vicki Gunvalson this season. Reduced pay notwithstanding, would it really be so bad to be just a friend of the housewives? Well, with friends like these…. yeah, probably.
