Bachelor in Paradise Finale: Are Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton Still Engaged?

Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 is officially in the books. But while the book has been closed on the latest run of this ABC franchise, a brand new chapter has been opened for two couples from the show. We’ve already documented what transpired between Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty (SPOILER ALERT: They’re engaged!), and now we’re here with romantic update on another pairing. Let’s delve into  Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton , shall we? On last night’s finale, Chris acknowledged the “hard” road down which he and Katie have gone…  but also praised Morton for all the positive ways in which she’s influenced him. He then said he yearned to make the show’s end the best moment of their lives — so he got down on one knee — as Katie broke down in tears — and proposed. And she said yes! Hooray, right? Viewers first met Chris on season 8 of The Bachelorette , which aired in 2012. He was 25 years old at the time and Emily Maynard eliminated him after their hometown date. After appearing on Bachelor Pad season 3, Chris attempted to crash season 10 of The Bachelorette. It was pretty darn awkward adter Andi Dorfman opted not to let him join the program. He later attempted to find love on seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise before announcing his “retirement.” The guy has been around ABC a lot . Katie, meanwhile, was a contestant on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor just a few months ago; she was sent home during week 6 of season 23. So that brings us up to their present and Tuesday night’s reunion special… Morton sitting opposite Chris Harrison WITHOUT an engagement ring  on her finger. Uh-oh , guys. “We’re still engaged,” she assured viewers on the reunion, explaining in further detail: “I just put in so much effort every day and I love him so much, but I put in so much that my tank empties and if I’m not getting it filled, I break down. “It’s just the whole time at the beach he would tell others that he loves me and the only way I knew Chris loves me is the way he tells everyone else, not the way he shows me. “I love him, but I can’t speak as to how he makes me feel and the things he said and the things he did seemed so different.” That isn’t exactly a glowing endorsement of Bukowski or their relationship. What does this mean for their future? “I fell in love with potential that may never come to fruition, but I’m just praying it does,” Morton said. Again: this doesn’t sound very encouraging. Why doesn’t she just pull the plug on their engagement? “I don’t want to end things,” she said. “I’m just conflicted. I want it to get better but I want him to want it to be better.” Enter Chris, who came out on stage and tried to explain his side of things. “We take things day by day, and I think we do get better every day,” he said. “It’s a rollercoaster. It’s a lot in a short amount of time, and we have a really good understanding of each other. But yeah, it’s definitely rocky.” View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 24: Meet the Women! Already! Bukowski also admitted to being “slower” with his feelings than Morton, but emphasized that he was on board with trying. “I honestly feel the best when I’m with you,” he told Morton. “My family loves you, my friends love you and I love you. I do and I think there’s so many more better days ahead of us and I want to see those days, I really do.” Bukowski and Morton’s time together during the finale wrapped with them going their separate ways outside of the studio. Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch: Engaged!

It’s been almost a year since Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch broke up , but their split didn’t last. In fact, getting back together only brought them closer. Now, they’re making things official. Kevin and Astrid are now engaged! 35-year-old Bachelor in Paradise alum Kevin Wendt shows that finding love in Paradise really is possible, announcing the news on Instagram. “You’ll never walk alone again,” Kevin’s sweet caption begins. “From here on out, we run together,” he affirms. Kevin writes: “Astrid you are my family, babe.” “Forever,” he concludes, revealing that he and Astrid are now engaged. “08.28.19,” Astrid’s own announcement begins, marking the date of the proposal. “I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment,” Astrid recalls. She writes: “A moment I’ll never forget.” “Just you + me. @kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn, and grow,” Astrid gushs. “And,” she admits. “I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with.” “Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not,” Astrid concludes. “In this together, forever.” Kevin and Astrid tell People   that Kevin poppsed the question on a sunset picnic in Toronto, where htey live together. “I actually forgot what I said. I just remember, it was a no-brainer to marry her,” the hunky firefighter admits. “I see her more as my family than any kind of girlfriend,” Kevin continues. “And I just knew I couldn’t ever let her go.” He reveals: “I quickly told her to move her bike because the ring box was so big and it was in my little backpack … that I didn’t know how to get it out of there.” “And so I told her to move her bike, and she kind of looked me like I’m an idiot. Like, why don’t you move it ?” Kevin narrates. “And as soon as she turned her back,” he details. “I grabbed it and crammed it in my back pocket.” “And I don’t know if you know,” Kevin adds. “But skinny jeans are not easy to cram things into.” “I was so clueless,” Astrid confesses about Kevin’s plan to pop the question.  “And you never get a surprise really by me, ever.” “I feel like I pay attention to everything,” she shares. “And I had absolutely no clue.” Notably, Kevin avoided spoiling the surprise and had to take the risk of shopping for the ring alone. “I’ve always told him I don’t like when there’s too much crazy stuff going on in the ring,” Astrid recalls. “We’re very simple people.” “We were both in jeans and a T-shirt and a tank top [when we got engaged], which is just how we are every single day, which is so us,” she adds. “Rather than some crazy, fancy thing. So the ring definitely reflects both of our personalities,” Astrid says. “And he got a cute little inside joke engraved in it.” Just because the ring was simple and over-the-top doesn’t mean that Kevin didn’t spend a great deal on it. In fact, he admits that he probably overdid it. But clearly Astrid loves it and she loves him. Will these two will make it all the way to their wedding — beating the franchise’s staggering odds of breakups? Kevin and Astrid say that they’ve basically forgotten that they fell in love on camera. Bachelor in Paradise ? More like One Less Bachelor in Paradise After One of the Show’s Most Popular Suitors Stunned Fans by Walking Away Last Night. This revamped version of the ABC program’s title sums up the shocking turn of events that we just witnessed. Just a few days ago, John Paul Jones and Derek Peth squared off at Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone’s televised wedding, with The Betchlor podcast host recounting the conversation to Haley Ferguson on Monday night’s episode. It all came as a surprise to Haley — who had gone on a date with Jones after arriving in Paradise and then accepted his rose — that he had strong feelings Tayshia. I did not know that at all,” Haley told Derek, adding in an on-camera interview: “It’s so random this Tayshia thing… I don’t know anything about the fact that he was into Tayshia. I’m honestly pissed.” Haley therefore figured she would confront Jones after hearing secondhand about his relationship with Tayshia. She wanted verification. We did hit it off. We had so much fun on the date,” Jones told her. “I just can’t really do anything, I just hit it off with Tayshia first.” Haley replied with how she “felt really hurt,” as Jones eventually told Haley to “explore” her “options.” “I never wanted to be a backup plan,” she responded in very understandable fashion. From there, JPJ’s night only grew worse when Derek asked him to speak again in the hopes that he could “seek some understanding as to where all this started.” However, Jones continued to insist that Derek wasn’t the “right guy for Tayshia.” “You don’t get to decide that,” Peth shot back. “She gets to decide that, not you.” “She already decided that,” Jones retorted. Tayshia watched this all go down and was anything but pleased about it. “This is so unnecessary,” she said. “It’s exhausting and it’s very frustrating for me. I’ve been contemplating breaking it off with both of them because I’m done and I’m over it.” Haley could relate. She also felt exasperated with the show and the set-up and ready to give up on love altogether. Thankfully, the next day brought a pair  of new arrivals: Matt Donald and Luke Stone from Hannah Brown‘s very recent  season of The Bachelorette . However, both Matt and Luke ended up taking out Sydney Lotuaco and Kristina Schulman, respectively.  With this double date underway, Tayshia went and talked to  Jones once more. Watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 Episode 9 Online “I woke up this morning still feeling emotional and I could tell that you felt sort of distant this morning and so I just wanted you to know where I’m at, just how seriously I take this endeavor,” he said. “I just wanted to let you know that so you know where I stand and I just admire everything about you.” Tayshia appreciated the sentiment — but it didn’t change her thinking. “You guys fighting yesterday just really rubbed me the wrong way,” she said. Jones continued to break down, while Tayshia said in an on-camera chat that she still felt “torn” between the two men. That is, until she made another decision and broke things off with Derek. She explained that the timing was simply off and it had nothing to do with Jones, but Derek felt “self-loathing” and “sadness,” he said, believing there was no one else for him in Mexico besides Tayshia. “I just want to find somebody,” he told viewers. “Like, how many years do I have to wait for that to happen?” This was no act, either. Derek promptly called everyone together and dropped his bombshell: This is really hard to talk to a group of people who I’ve really grown so close to. I thank all of you guys for the friendships that I’ve built here, but unfortunately this time for me that’s all I’ve been able to build. I’m actually going to head out now. I love so many of you in so many ways. Thank you all. And with that…. Derek was gone. “I hate that I had so much power over his feelings,” Tayshia said in response to the development. Caelynn Miller-Keyes tried to comfort Tayshia by saying, “Better to go home now than to break off an engagement twice,” referring to Derek’s split from Taylor Nolan in 2018. Jones, for his part, handed Tayshia some tissues and merely said “sorry.” “Maybe Derek and I could’ve hit it off. NCIS Rumor: Which Major Character Might Be Replaced by ZIVA?!

Even though CBS claims that Pauley Perette and Mark Harmon settled their differences , Pauley is not returning to NCIS . In fact, rumor has it that the seemingly unstoppable series is going to feature yet another dramatic casting shakeup. Could Gibbs get the boot and be replaced by a character fans never thought they’d see again? Rumors have been circulating that NCIS could have a major casting shakeup. Some speculation shared to Reddit suggests that the show may lose its 67-year-old lead, played by Mark Harmon, for a familiar face. “Gibbs is old now, I stand by that the only way this show can continue is if Ziva takes his place as team lead,” writes one Redditor. That same post continues: “Oh how wonderful that would be.” “They could just write that for her child’s protection Tony is taking care of her in hiding,” suggests another. That Reddit post adds: “I wouldn’t be mad at all, anything to have her back.” Back in 2005, Kate was famously murdered during an episode that shocked NCIS fans to their cores. This is when Cote de Pablo joined the cast, playing a complicated and tough-as-nails Mossad agent, Ziva David. Her character was a relentless badass, and brought something to the show even as characters and fans alike were mourning Kate. But in 2013, Ziva was seemingly killed off. It was years later, in 2016, that she surprised fans by being secretly alive. Could she make a return and take the helm of the show? Not all NCIS fans are convinced — particularly those of the older demographic who want their regular dose of Mark Harmon. “Heard what I hope is a stupid rumor; that ‘Ziva’ will be replacing ‘Gibbs,'” one woman tweeted. The tweet continued: “The only way I will continue to watch # NCIS is if Gibbs is promoted to Director.” “I’ve stuck with you through ‘Kate’s’ murder, ‘Tony’ leaving, ‘Abby’s’ leaving, & ‘Ducky’s’ reduced role,” the longtime fan wrote. “Enough.” Clearly, there are strong opinions on both sides of the aisle. There may be some logistical, in-universe barriers to Ziva returning to the fold and taking the helm. “[Timothy] McGee (played by Sean Murray) is the Senior Agent,” points out one Redditor. (Most of us Millennials know Sean Murray better from his role as Thackery Binks in Hocus Pocus , but he’s been with NCIS for the long haul) “And I really like him,” the original Ziva theorist replies. “But his character is not enough to replace Gibbs as team lead.” “In regards to NCIS continuing in ratings,” the Redditor continues. “I think Ziva is the only beloved team member by fans who could carry this show.” Still, some folks were simply not convinced. “She’s the junior NCIS agent, had divided loyalties,” one Redditor argued. Yeah, that was kind of her schtick for countless episodes. Ziva also “has been missing for years & was officially considered dead,” the Reddit denizen countered. The argument continued: “There is no explanation for how she could roll back in & take over the major crimes unit of  NCIS .” Another chimed in: “I love the whole cast but the main reason I watch it is because of Gibbs. If this is true I most likely won’t watch it.” Look, if we’re living in a world where a character as rude as Gibbs has actual fans, surely anything is possible to get Ziva that promotion, right? Caelynn Miller-Keyes Dubbed "Lost, Slutty Duggar Sister" By Bachelor In Paradise Fans

Now, it’s not every day that you see the words “Duggar” and “slutty” in the same sentence. Which is probably why so many reality TV junkies were shook by a tweet describing Bachelor In Paradise star Caelynn Miller-Keyes as “the lost, slutty Duggar sister.” Now, if you’re a member of Bachelor Nation, you’re probably familiar with Caelyn from Colton’s season of The Bachelor , as well as the current season of Bachelor In Paradise . We don’t think her behavior on either show could ever really be described as “slutty,” but maybe it’s a relative thing. After all, in the Duggars’ world, wearing a skirt that exposes your knees is considered downright scandalous. (“Knees are for prayin’, not displayin'” is something we could imagine Jim Bob saying.)   As first pointed out by Life & Style , the tweet that prompted a million surprised head nods reads thusly: Take issue with the use of the word “slutty” if you want (We’re pretty sure it’s a joke, so maybe don’t take it too seriously?), but there’s no denying that the second part is true. Once you see the resemblance between Caelynn and the Duggar girls, it really can’t be unseen. And it seems the OG tweeter is not the only one who spotted the Duggar doppelganger among the swimwear enthusiasts on this summer’s BIP. “Caelynn looks like she could be a Duggar sister,” tweeted one viewer. “Is Caelynn a member of the Duggar family????!” added another.  “I watched The Bachelor for the first time this season, and my takeaway is that Caelynn is actually Jessa Duggar wearing a ~very~ light disguise,” a third remarked. Yes, it’s widely agreed that the Duggar Caelynn most resembles is Jessa, who has been conspicuously absent from social media in recent weeks. (This has yet to spark a rumor that Caelynn is actually Jessa in disguise, but the internet being the internet, we’re sure someone will put that out there eventually.) Neither the Duggars nor Caelynn has spoken out about the comparison, which is of course not at all surprising. After all, the Duggar girls probably aren’t allowed to watch shows like BIP. Bachelor in Paradise Recap: A Fight Breaks Out Over a Pinata

Welp. That sure got ugly in a hurry. On Tuesday night’s intense episode of Bachelor in Paradise, two contestants got into a legitimate fight — and here’s the truly shocking part… … neither of these contestants was Blake. Indeed, the polarizing sex fiend who has been at the center of most Season 6 installments to date mostly sat this one out last night. Hence why his face was left without a scratch on it at the end of the two hours. The same can’t be said for Jordan Kimball and Christian Estrada. How did this all begin? With Christian not wasting any time asking out Nicole Lopez-Alvar, as all viewers witnessed the instant chemisty between these two. What about Clay Harbor, who was concerned that the only woman in which he interested in was slipping away? Nicole believed Clay to be overly passive… yet he earned an opportunity to show his slightly more assertive side when Christian attempted to steal Nicole again after their date. The guys strangely held hands as they argued over who she should get to spend time with her, only for Nicole to eventually choose Clay, who admitted to being “jittery” after this confrontation. Got it? Following along so far? Okay then… it’s now time to talk about Jordan. He already had beef with Christian prior to Bachelor for Paradise. And then Christian set up a piñata for Nicole during the cocktail party and, after Christian told Clay to go away, Jordan felt an urge to stand up for his friend. Therefore, he tried to take down the piñata, resulting in an actual fight between him and Christian. “Don’t touch my pinata,” said Christian, who had only just been trying to convince Nicole he’s a sweet guy. He then grabbed Jordan, and Jordan grabbed him, and then that’s all we got because ABC got a “to be continued” in order to tease the fallout that will air next week. BOOOOO!!!!!! Watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 Episode 4 Online Elsewhere, Dylan Barbour struggled to comprehend why Hannah Godwin was willing to give Blake Horstmann a chance in any way, shape or form. He pressed her about her interest in this loser — and she finally divulged that Blake visited her in Alabama a week before Paradise.  What the heck is up with this guy and all his previous connections to the females on the island?!? He and Hannah even kissed during the pre-show meetup, as Dylan expressed pain over the fact that Hannah hid this information from him. Tayshia Adams, meanwhile, confronted Hannah for withholding the Blake hangout from her, considering Blake Horstmann took her on a date during week one of Season 6 . Adams felt blindsided, which was the same feeling she and Hannah both experienced during Colton Underwood’s season. Hannah did not really appreciate the candid conversation, saying that Blake’s visit was “private” and she didn’t share the story out of respect for him. (Ummm… talk about IRONIC , huh?!?) Hannah thought the show was a better outlet to figure out their connection and later claimed Tayshia “mean girled” her. Also on avery busy episode: Dean Unglert caught Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ eye upon his arrival. However, she grew irritated upon accusing Kristina Schulman of “slut-shaming me across this entire beach.” Dean, who wanted to make up for his earlier sins, didn’t seem to mind her tears, asking her on a date despite the breakdown. Or maybe because of it. He and Caelynn ended up making out in the pool. Finally, Demi Burnett and Derek Peth seemed like the only strong, solid couple in all of Paradise…. but she was secretly conflicted because of the woman she had been dating in Los Angeles before the show. Yes, we said woman . Bachelor in Paradise Trailer: Demi Burnett Kisses a Woman!!!!! Burnett missed her and still thought about her. Like, a lot . She later came out as sexually fluid to several people, but hesitated to tell Derek because she didn’t want the revelation to ruin their connection. In the end, though, she opened up and was relieved by his accepting reaction.

Bachelor in Paradise Trailer: Demi Kisses a Woman!!!!!

In two weeks, Bachelor in Paradise will take nine men and 11 women to Mexico, as those involved search for romance, love, sex and a whole lot of alcohol. But while fans of thise franchise were likely already excited for the sixth season this summer, ABC has now gone ahead and given them a fresh reason to look forwrd to the chaos to come: One of these upcoming episodes will feature the first same-sex kiss in show history. And, by the looks of what transpires in this extended trailer, it won't just be any same-sex kiss, either. Which is to say: it won't be some drunken dare or one-off. There will be real feelings behind the girl-on-girl spit swap. Ahead of this preview's release, Demi Burnett jumped on Twitter and wrote the following: “Spoiler alert: I’m a queer queen.” She then backed up this declaration via her actions and her words on Season 6, making out with a mystery woman on a bed at one point and then saying  on air: “I don't care who sees this. I know that I love this girl. I'm just so happy that I found her, and I can definitely picture being with her for the rest of my life.” It's worth noting, however, that this same trailer shows Burnett and contestant Derek Peth in the hot tub together, indicating that we may have a love triangle on our hands this season. Elsewhere, the lengthy promo promises “heartbreaking drama,” “more crying than ever before,” which would really be saying something, an actual fight that breaks out between the men on the beach … and multiple proposals at season's end. There's a lot going on here, folks. Like, a whole lot. The sneak also teases the wedding of Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone, who met on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise last year and got engaged at the end of the summer. Meghan Markle: Do the Royals Really HATE Her?!

For months now, the British tabloid press has been repeating the same refrain: The Royal Family just doesn’t like Meghan Markle. The reasons for this alleged feud vary wildly from one account to the next. Some say Meghan is just too American for the Brits and their ultra-formal ways. (Depending on who you ask, “American” here might be code for either “Hollywood” or “black.”) Others claim Meghan is a bit of a diva , and she’s rubbed some high-ranking royal officials the wrong way with her persistent need to be in charge. Whatever the case, Meg is not particularly beloved by the palace dwellers these days. And now, it seems there’s a fear that she’s being a bad influence on Prince Harry. Yes, you might think that as a grown-ass man who’s also a freakin’ prince, Harry would be more or less capable of making up his own mind on most issues. But according to British gossip rags, you would be wrong. Royal watchers have particularly taken issue with the manner in which Harry and Meghan shut the press out during their recent tour, just as they have throughout much of Meghan’s pregnancy, “They basically blanked the media on this tour, which is very short-sighted,” says The Sun’s Duncan Larcombe. They may not sound so bad, but apparently, there’s also been a marked change in the way that Harry related to his staff. “All of Harry’s staff have always thought he was fantastic, but the two of them [together] are high maintenance,” says Larcombe of the royal couple, He adds that Harry has become “quite grumpy and aloof from his own inner circle of staff. Harry was always very pally with [them], so this is very unlike him.” Larcombe says that Harry is a changed man these days — and many of those closest to him prefer the old Harry. “What people love about Harry is that he wears his heart on his sleeve,” Larcombe says. “He’s down to earth, a normal guy trapped in the royal world, and he doesn’t take himself very seriously. But now he is.” Of course, Meghan’s influence on Harry hasn’t been entirely negative. According to new report from Vanity Fair , Harry has transformed into a regular health nut. He’s given up smoking and caffeine, and he’s even (temporarily) quit smoking out of solidarity with his pregnant wife. “We never thought Harry would be raving about yoga, but he loves it,” one of his friends says. “He looks great, he’s lost weight, he’s super healthy, and I think he’s really happy although I’m sure he does miss going out with some of his old mates for the occasional pint. “Harry used to love lying in, but he’s up super early with Meghan and the first thing he says he does is a workout, then he has a green juice,” the friend adds. “Meghan is definitely behind his new regimen. They both see a nutritionist and are into their supplements.” Personally, we think all of the dislike for Meghan is absurd. But if she really did convince Harry to exchange Guinness pints for kale smoothies, we may be forced to revise our opinion. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert: Expecting Baby #2!

It hasn’t been all that long since Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert welcomed their first child . The Bachelor in Paradise couple has now announced even more good news. They are expecting Baby #2! On Monday, Jade Roper took to Instagram to share two photos and some very happy news. “Baby #2 is adding to our crew!!” she announces. Get it? It rhymes. “We are overjoyed,” Jade gushes. She even reveals part of the due date: “our bundle of love will be joining us in August!” Jade shared two photos, both featuring her, husband Tanner Tolbert, and their toddler, Emerson. Jade’s words continue, and she speaks directly to her future child. “We’ve been dreaming of you for a while now,” she writes. “And,” Jade’s caption concludes. “You are already loved beyond imaginable, sweet baby.” That is so precious! Notably, she has not shared whether they are expecting a boy or a girl, which is totally fine. This wee little blessing will be the couple’s second child. In fact, Baby #2 is expected to be their second child born in August. Jade and Tanner welcomed Emerson Avery Tolbert in August of 2017. If all goes according to plan with baby #2 (hey, some pregnancies surprise you!), Emerson will be two years older than her younger sibling. That is widely considered to be a healthy age gap, giving the children the chance to bond as peers but also remain spaced out somewhat. Hopefully, Baby #2 will not be born the same day or week as Emerson. That kind of thing gets super awkward. “She’s here, our little sweetheart!” Jade announced in August of 2017. “Tanner and I are very proud to announce the arrival of our baby girl this Thursday morning,” she shared. Addressing baby Emerson, she said: “There’s truly no words to describe the feeling holding you in our arms for the first time and looking into your eyes.” “We love you, precious girl,” her announcement affirmed. So sweet! In early 2018, Jade was mom-shamed for showing herself breastfeeding baby Emerson. “So, I had some comments about the picture I posted of me and Emerson after I was breastfeeding,” she wrote. “People telling me they don’t look like that when they breastfeed,” she said. “And that I was setting up a standard that’s impossible to live up to.” Notably, people took issue with her posing while wearing makeup and breastfeeding. “The truth about that picture is I had a photo shoot the day before,” Jade explained. “And,” she continued. “I hadn’t taken my makeup off, so that’s literally the day before’s makeup.” “And it was slightly staged,” Jade admitted. Please remember that any photo that is not a candid is “staged.” There’s nothing sinister about posing for a photo. “We positioned Emerson just right to make the picture [work], but that was literally right after I had fed her,” she continued. “And, Jade wrote. “She had fallen asleep on me and we do have those moments where we snuggle so I don’t get what’s so unreal about it.” She makes a very good point. “People were telling me I shouldn’t cover up,” she said. While no one should be shamed for not uncovering to feed their baby, that doesn’t mean that people should be shamed for covering up, either. “I was actually getting flack for putting a cover over my baby,” Jade marveled. “Which I just don’t understand why that would be something people would give me s–t about,” she admitted. “And my baby is feeding right now,” she shared. “And I’m still going to cover up because that’s what I feel the most comfortable with.” Some people get fully dressed in their homes. Others remain naked until company comes over. It’s always a personal choice. “I feel like I don’t need to share all of that with the world,” Jade expressed. “That’s not the message.” “It’s just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies,” she affirmed.
