Markle also didn’t hesitate to speak about her heritage while in Cape Town. On the royal family’s first day in the country, they visited the Justice Desk Initiative, which works to educate and empower people to combat poverty and unemployment. Markle, wore a Mayamiko dress for that visit (the sustainable brand sources materials from local markets Malawi) and told the crowd: “May I just say that while I am here with my husband, as a member of the royal family, I want you to know that for me I am here with you as a mother, as a wife, as a woman, as a woman of color and as your sister.” Yassssssssssss Sis!!! Meghan Markle Shares Birthday Tribute to Prince Harry (And a New Photo of Little Archie!)

Prince Harry celebrated a pair of milestones on Sunday: 1. His 35th birthday. 2. His very first birthday as a father. And beloved/beautiful/polarizing wife Meghan Markle was right there to shower her husband with figurative kisses in one of the sweetest tributes you’ll read this month. “Wishing a very happy birthday to His Royal Highness Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex!” opened a caption to the photo above, which was posted @sussexroyal Instagram account. In the very bottom right of this collage, among many other personal and candid photos of Harry, we get a glimpse at a brand new snapshot of him, Markle and their son, Archie. The new image depitcs a doting Harry crouching down to look at his child, who is on mom Meghan’s lap, during a special celebration back in the summer. Elsewhere in the photograph collection? A few childhood pics of Harry, including one him as a baby with his late mother Princess Diana. Also one of Harry as a small boy with brother Prince William. There’s also a gorgeous picture of of the Duke and Duchess kissing at their 2018 wedding. And, finally, pics of Harry in his military uniforms and meeting people on his Royal tours. Wrote Markle herself as a message to Harry: Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day. You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday! Next week, Meghan and Harry are scheduled to travel with young Archie to South Africa for what will mark the child’s first Royal tour. It ought to garner the family a great deal of attention, but today belongs to Harry, not his precious offspring. “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!” read a message on the Instagram page of Kensington Palace, which represents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, alongside a photo of the brothers dressed in military uniforms and smiling at one another. Perhaps this caption will put to rest rumors  of a feud between Harry and William . But probably not, knowing the media and all those supermarket tabloids, you know? Harry’s father Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also sent their best to the birthday boy today, as did The Royal Family Instagram account, which represents Queen Elizabeth and other members of the family. “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex, who turns 35 today!” Charles and Camilla’s post read. “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex – 35 today! #HappyBirthdayHRH” the Queen’s post read. Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch: Engaged!

It’s been almost a year since Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch broke up , but their split didn’t last. In fact, getting back together only brought them closer. Now, they’re making things official. Kevin and Astrid are now engaged! 35-year-old Bachelor in Paradise alum Kevin Wendt shows that finding love in Paradise really is possible, announcing the news on Instagram. “You’ll never walk alone again,” Kevin’s sweet caption begins. “From here on out, we run together,” he affirms. Kevin writes: “Astrid you are my family, babe.” “Forever,” he concludes, revealing that he and Astrid are now engaged. “08.28.19,” Astrid’s own announcement begins, marking the date of the proposal. “I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment,” Astrid recalls. She writes: “A moment I’ll never forget.” “Just you + me. @kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn, and grow,” Astrid gushs. “And,” she admits. “I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with.” “Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not,” Astrid concludes. “In this together, forever.” Kevin and Astrid tell People   that Kevin poppsed the question on a sunset picnic in Toronto, where htey live together. “I actually forgot what I said. I just remember, it was a no-brainer to marry her,” the hunky firefighter admits. “I see her more as my family than any kind of girlfriend,” Kevin continues. “And I just knew I couldn’t ever let her go.” He reveals: “I quickly told her to move her bike because the ring box was so big and it was in my little backpack … that I didn’t know how to get it out of there.” “And so I told her to move her bike, and she kind of looked me like I’m an idiot. Like, why don’t you move it ?” Kevin narrates. “And as soon as she turned her back,” he details. “I grabbed it and crammed it in my back pocket.” “And I don’t know if you know,” Kevin adds. “But skinny jeans are not easy to cram things into.” “I was so clueless,” Astrid confesses about Kevin’s plan to pop the question.  “And you never get a surprise really by me, ever.” “I feel like I pay attention to everything,” she shares. “And I had absolutely no clue.” Notably, Kevin avoided spoiling the surprise and had to take the risk of shopping for the ring alone. “I’ve always told him I don’t like when there’s too much crazy stuff going on in the ring,” Astrid recalls. “We’re very simple people.” “We were both in jeans and a T-shirt and a tank top [when we got engaged], which is just how we are every single day, which is so us,” she adds. “Rather than some crazy, fancy thing. So the ring definitely reflects both of our personalities,” Astrid says. “And he got a cute little inside joke engraved in it.” Just because the ring was simple and over-the-top doesn’t mean that Kevin didn’t spend a great deal on it. In fact, he admits that he probably overdid it. But clearly Astrid loves it and she loves him. Will these two will make it all the way to their wedding — beating the franchise’s staggering odds of breakups? Kevin and Astrid say that they’ve basically forgotten that they fell in love on camera. Prince Harry Speaks Out on Private Jet Controversy: I Ain’t Flying Coach With Y’all Peasants

Last month, we reported on the widespread allegations of hypocrisy leveled against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The trouble started when the couple took a jaunt to the South of France to hang out at Elton John’s palatial estate for a few days, as one does. The problem wasn’t with the trip itself, but with the fact that Harry and Meghan traveled on a private jet . As you may know, Harry has been an outspoken environmental activist for much of his life. As one of the world’s leading spokesmen for the perils of climate change and the role that humans play in the growing crisis, boarding a private jet with his family was … not a great look for Harry. Elton immediately came to his guests’ defense, tweeting: “Prince Harry’s Mother , Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death. “After a hectic year continuing their hard work and dedication to charity, David and I wanted the young family to have a private holiday inside the safety and tranquility of our home. “To maintain a high level of much-needed protection, we provided them with a private jet flight.” But as the weeks went by, Harry and Meghan remained silent, while Prince William and Kate Middleton made a point of flying commercial , thus scoring points on their rumored rivals. On Tuesday, Harry finally broke his silence during an event in Amsterdam, at which he explained his decision to temporarily throw carbon footprint concerns aside: “I came here by commercial. I spend 99 percent of my life traveling the world by commercial,” Harry told the audience. “Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family are safe and it’s genuinely as simple as that.” It’s important to note that 98% of terrorist attacks occur en route to Elton John’s private estate in the South of France. Obviously, we’re joking — taking the piss out of Harry, for you Brits. The explanation rings a tad bullsh-tty, but we’re sure Harry is usually responsible in his travel choices. “We can all do better and while no one is perfect, we all have a responsibility for our own individual impact,” he added. “The question is what we do to balance it out.” From there, Harry announced a new venture — Travalyst — in which he and Meg will partner with online firms to “transform the travel industry. The two most famous couples in the world met in London on Sunday night, July 14. We're barely even exaggerating here, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their red carpet debut at the European premiere of The Lion King remake this weekend. And just who did they meet at this event? None other than Beyonce and Jay-Z!!!!!!!! Why were they in attendance? Because Beyonce is the voice of Nala in this film and because the star-studded celebration was actually held in support of Harry’s ongoing conservation work and his service on behalf of communities near endangered wildlife in Africa. Prince Philip to Prince Harry: Meghan Markle Ain’t the One For You, Homie

Prince Philip is not your typical 98-year-old royal. In fact, as far as we can tell, the man’s lifestyle has more in common with Keith Richards than with any of the King Richards. For examples, let’s just look at the last six months of Philip’s life, shall we? Back in January,  Philip flipped his Land Rover while driving like a mad man in the English countryside. Last month, we learned that Philip and Queen Elizabeth are essentially separated , living under different roofs and leading “separate lives” as one insider put it. Now, we’ve come to find out that the UK’s answer to Joe Biden is still offering ribald and painfully outmoded advice to his grandsons. According to a new report from London’s Sunday Times , Philip issued a stern warning to Prince Harry shortly after the latter began dating Meghan Markle. “One steps out with actresses, one doesn’t marry them,” a source recalls Philip remarking. Fortunately, the insider says Philip has since come around and now realizes that Meghan is Harry’s ideal mate. And apparently, Philip wasn’t the only one who harbored some early doubts about Meg. “William wanted to make sure that Harry was making the right decision,” royal expert Katie Nicholl recently told Fox News. “And I think what was intended as well-meaning, brotherly concern and a bit of advice went down quite badly with Harry, who felt that William wasn’t being as supportive as he might’ve been. “So there has certainly been tensions between the brothers.” Nicholl’s comments were made in the context of speculation about an alleged feud between William and Harry . It’s not surprising that Will’s comments wouldn’t sit well with Harry. Unsolicited relationship advice is always tough to swallow, and considering Will’s trash talk came around the same time he was allegedly cheating on Kate Middleton while she was pregnant , we imagine it was especially tough to take. But like Phil before him, Will has reportedly come to realize just how awesome Meghan is: “I think William sees how happy Meghan makes Harry,” Nicholl explained. “I think he’s quite impressed by Meghan, her work ethic, how quickly she’s adapted to royal life,” she added. “Of course … the jury is still out. But actually, I think William has realized that Meghan is probably the best thing to happen to Harry.” So William’s under the impression that Meghan is good for Harry? Paul Staehle and Karine: 90 Day Fiance Couple Fight on Instagram Live

Paul Staehle and Karine Staehle are the only familiar couple on this first season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way . Unfortunately, some of their antics in real time — as in, over the past few days — have been a little too familiar for the comfort of fans. The two had a vocal fight on Instagram Live, where Karine accused Paul of “going crazy.” Where was their baby during this? On Sunday, Karine Staehle went on Instagram Live to broadcast a fight. According to witnesses who caught the video — only a fragment of which was recorded — there was a lot of “fighting and screaming.” As 90 Day Fiance blogger John Yates notes on Instagram: “Usually I don’t fall for Paul’s attention seeing drama, but she tells me it was pretty intense.”: “Karine went live on her account without Paul’s knowledge,” Yates describes. “Where he was saying that she was drinking alcohol and packing her things.” There was a dispute over the packing of bags and, eventually, Karine began speaking in Portuguese. Fans responding to the Instagram Live were, as always, begging Karine to leave Paul. “She was crying and visibly shaking while talking to him while his head was poked through the door,” John Yates describes. “There was a loud sound and then the live ended,” he notes. “Not before Paul reprimanded Karine for breaking NDA.” At some points during the video, Paul appeared to be speaking, in English, to someone outside of the room. A small mercy is that their baby, Pierre, was nowhere in sight — though that just raised more questions. The good news is that some of the people who caught the Instagram Live spoke Portuguese. As one fan notes, apparently Karine said that she returned from a sleepover at her parents' home, only for Paul to allegedly go crazy. It looks like they're both accusing each other of having made a mess out of the packed up luggage. Baby Pierre was said to be still at her parents' house. John Yates notes that he reached out to Paul, who said that “things weren’t good and that Karine is with her parents.” We have a strong suspicion that Paul and Karine may have been filming for 90 Day Fiance . Yes, they are currently on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way , though this latest episode may explain why they were packing to go to the US. That would explain why Paul was speaking in English to people in the other room, and why he mentioned Instagram Live and the NDA. It's June — last year, during this month, original recipe 90 Day Fiance was filming. Maybe Paul's family finally decided to help him sponsor Karine to come to the US? So, as you may recall, Paul's original plan was to go to Brazil, be with his much younger bride, and bring her back to the US to live. That didn't work out, in part because Paul didn't have the cash to cover the K-1 visa process for Karine. Instead, the new plan was for him to remain in Brazil and just live with Karine and their baby, Pierre, together. Except that, on the latest episode, we found that his bid for residency was denied — on the grounds of “terrorism.” Paul was very upset over the unexpected denial and the unexplained charge. We think that we can explain that. See, Paul had a criminal history long before he ever came to Brazil. Specifically, he committed arson back in 2007. In fact, when last we checked, he's still on “shock probation” and will be until April 2020. Then, in 2013, Paul was arrested for violating a protective order — which is a huge red flag. The order may have been issued over domestic violence concerns. Paul's long history of throwing up red flags left and right has led many 90 Day Fiance fans to hope that Karine takes baby Pierre and runs. Maybe this huge fight that the two had in public mark the end of their relationship. But … we won't hold our breath.

Amber Portwood: Gary Shirley Is My Best Friend!

We’re just days away from a new season of Teen Mom OG , and just like in years past, the entire cast is making the media rounds in hopes of drumming up interest in the long-running reality show. This time around, most of the focus has been on the addition of Mackenzie McKee to the cast , but Amber Portwood is still fixating on her favorite topic of discussion — herself. Amber joined the rest of the cast in pleading with MTV not to replace Bristol Palin , but either she’s gotten over the disappointment of being forced to welcome another newcomer, or she finds the topic so triggering that she prefers to avoid it entirely. Whatever the case, in Amber’s latest interview, she insisted that her life is more drama free than ever before. That’s great for Amber, obviously — but potentially bad for ratings. “I don’t want to sound like I’m lying, but hell, everything is so positive right now,” the mother of two told Us Weekly. Amber’s ex, Gary Shirley, had primary custody of their daughter, Leah, but despite the unusual arrangement, Portwood says she and Gary are the best of friends these days: “We’re doing really good. You know, it took years. It took a long time. It took growth on both parties,” Portwood said, adding that her kids refer to Shirley as Uncle Gary. “We really kind of met in the middle and became a whole family now.” Amber says not only are she and Gary are getting, their respective significant others are also friendly, too: “It was good to feel like you’re able to mesh that life together because it’s hard when you have a new partner,” she said. “Everybody gets along so it’s great.” As for her future with Andrew Glennon, Portwood says she could imagine having more kids with the former TV producer: “If that happened, I wouldn’t be mad,” Portwood told Us.  “[Andrew’s] my soulmate and he’s a beautiful person [and] …. I don’t see myself with anybody else. So, like, I definitely might have another kid with him.” As for the prospect of marriage … well, that’s a trickier question: “It’s scary, though, because if he asked me to marry him, I would say yes … and I’d be planning a wedding,” she said. “It’s scary to me because I’ve been through a lot of stuff with men, commitment-wise, but he’s that guy that you don’t want to lose out on. Honestly.” We understand where you’re coming from, Amber — but if it makes the quandary any simpler, you’re already tied to dude for life, regardless of whether or not you get hitched. Prince Harry Was "Grumpy," Snubbed Donald Trump During UK Visit

Presideny Donald Trump touched down in Great Britain this week for a three-day, official state visit. But he wasn’t exactly given a hero’s greeting upon his arrival. At least not by one very prominent British citizen. According to The Sun, Prince Harry attended a private lunch with the President and First Lady on Monday, but he didn’t speak very much to the Commander-in-Chief. This same group was then taken on a tour of Queen Elizabeth’s private art collection, but Harry chose to hang back as much as possible at this point. An insider says he made a point NOT to be photographed anywhere near the President. This British publication explains that Harry walked in with the President’s daughter, Ivanka, during this showing — but then left her to talk to the Lord Chamberlain while the Queen showed the Trumps around the Palace. “Harry was the third most senior royal in the room after the Queen and his father, but didn’t seem to take any part in his royal duties,” an onlooker tells The Sun .
