With two kids at home and a husband in law school , we think it’s safe to say Jill Duggar has a lot on her plate these days. Unfortunately, her kids can’t say the same, because Jill keeps burning their meals! We kid Jill, of course. We’re sure that on her best days, she’s perfectly capable of conjuring one of those bizarre Duggar specialties like tater tot casserole or “the chickennetti,” which In Touch describes as “spaghetti, chicken, broth, canned tomatoes, cream of chicken soup, Velveeta cheese.” Perhaps not surprisingly, that particular atrocity is Josh’s favorite. Anyway, Jill was cooking a more traditional “meal” earlier this week when things went horribly awry in a hilarious way. According to her Instagram Story, Jill attempted to prepare a mac and cheese cup for her youngest son, Sam, but she missed a crucial step in the process. “Can’t really see it here but it’s a little bit smokey in here because yours truly was a little bit distracted while making mac ‘n’ cheese,” Jill said, while showing off the burned cup. “Those little mac ‘n’ cheese cups, this is what’s left of Sam’s mac ‘n’ cheese. I forgot to add water to it,” she added. “So it started smoking and I was like, standing there looking. I was like, ‘Oh that’s interesting.’” Interesting, indeed. To her credit, Jill is offering up this story as a relatable mom moment. Self-deprecation is not exactly the Duggars’ strong suit, and it took guts for Jill to break from the family norm like this. “I didn’t notice there was any kind of smoke, it must be really hot coming out of top of the thing here.’ I was like, ‘Oh it looks a little smokey up here like, pouring across the ceiling,’” the mother of two continued. “And I was like, ‘What’s that?’ And then I was like, ‘Uhhh,’ and I checked the microwave. I opened the microwave and I’m like ‘Ooh, I forgot to add water,’” “Note to everyone … you have to add water to mac ‘n’ cheese or it will turn into a black noodle melted mess LOL.” Fortunatelly, the story had a happy ending, as it was later updated with a short clip of a very eager Sam accepting Jill’s successful second attempt — an un-burnt offering of mac and cheese. There’s a joke to be made here about the link between the Kraft corporation and happy endings , but it would be inappropriate for an article about a family so chaste as the Duggars. Audrey Roloff does her best to maintain perspective at all times. This is someone who nearly always mentions God in her social media posts and who can’t ever be accused of not seeing the bigger picture in life. Except, well… she’s just been accused of this. In one of her latest Instagram posts, Audrey shared a few gorgeous photos. As you can see above and below, they feature her, her very large baby bump and her precious two-year old daughter, Ember. They also feature a heartfelt caption that outlines what Audrey’s life has been like of late — how, despite her glowing appearance in these snapshots, Roloff is actually struggling a bit. And she’s here to explain why. “It’s been a tough week,” Audrey wrote simply, prior to delving into how Jeremy Roloff just underwent hernia surgery and adding: “Taking care of a husband who is recovering from surgery and can hardly get up out of bed, potty training and cleaning up lots of poop and pee, working late nights/early mornings because that’s my only time, some very emotional decisions and conversations weighing heavy on my heart, on top of being 32 weeks pregnant…” That sounds like a lot. For real. Audrey continued as follows: “Although I absolutely love these photos this past week has looked a lot more like chasing a naked toddler around a messy house, little kid potties in our living room, helping either Jeremy or Ember go to the bathroom, scrubbing carpets and crayon-stained floors, all while wearing the same oatmeal-stained pajamas that I haven’t changed in two days.” Roloff was actually making a legitimate point here. She was saying that social media can be a deceptive world and that you should always remember that EVERYone — yes, even famous people — struggles at times. In conclusion, Audrey sent a message to users, writing: Rolling all the valor and stress away on my chest, listening to Phil Wickham’s new Christmas album, and continuing to remind myself that His past faithfulness demands my present trust. So if you’ve had one of those weeks where you’ve both laughed and cried hysterically… hey you’re not alone. Pretty nice message, right? Nope, WRONG, some readers clapped back. One follower told Audrey that she really need to relax and appreciate her relatively stress-free life, writing as a remark: Do all that and work a forty hour week driving a bus. Ur a stay at home mom. Another, meanwhile, took things in an entirely different and sort of wild direction. “Audrey, this is life,” wrote someone with the handle “dcypl2,” who then continued by telling this story: “It goes too fast, and you just do not have any idea how blessed your week sounds to me. My daughter and son in law had to make the horrifying decision of when to pull the respirator from their one month old only son. “We only wish we could potty train him and chase him around the house. “But they never will. “They are working on his obituary, and deciding on an urn for his ashes. I know it is hard for you… but count your blessings and thank the lord for your trials…and pray for others who may have worse.” Ummm… wow, huh? Audrey is in her third trimester of pregnancy, which messes with one’s hormones and also with one physically in many different ways. She’s also caring for a two-year old, which is not an easy task on a daily basis. Her husband just underwent a serious surgery and cannot help around the house — and while, yes, it would be incredible for everyone to have some sort of global perspective at all times… … come on now. That’s just not realistic. We feel awful for the couple cited in the comment/story above, but their tragedy doesn’t mean that Audrey isn’t also going through a tough time. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month, Nicci Gilbert, is sharing clips from a 2016 documentary she produced From The Bottom Up , about stars who have made comebacks after falling into obscurity during the course of their careers. In one portion of the film, Sara Stokes and KeKe Wyatt speak about the domestic violence they experienced at the hands of their intimate partners, KeKe’s first ex-husband and Stokes’ current husband, Tony Stokes, at the time. KeKe : It feels good to just talk to somebody who’s been through some of the same stuff that I been through. It was hard. It was hard. Sara : Jesus is good because I have been through some stuff, girl. It’s all out there. That’s another thing, I know me and you have been through similar things when it comes to the domestic violence thing or whatever the heck.But honest to God, how the heck did you deal. I’ve been called crazy. KeKe : My kids. Sara : They get it at school too though. ‘Oh your mom is insane.’ Your daddy be whipping your momma ass. KeKe : I’m the one that’s crazy because I stabbed him. And I did. I hear my infant baby in the other room, screaming, crying mommy. And I got this dude choking me. He’s high. He done been out on a binge. I had no idea this dude did drugs. So I find out he’s a crackhead on Christmas Eve. And then he comes home and he’s pissed off because I showed up at his cousin’s house and I embarrassed him. And so he decided he wanted to take it out on me with these here. And he had been drinking so he had that liquid courage. Which got him stabbed. Sara : This is what happened with my story. Me and my husband in California , you know we moved from Michigan. We had gone out there to the hot tub. My husband, being silly, ended up trying to throw me in the pool. I was like, ’Heck Nah. It was freezing. So I tired to dart away and slid and BOOM hit my head on the concrete and slide. I ended up busting my head and after that, I don’t remember anything. My kids started to scream because I didn’t know but it was blood all over my face. Because when I hit the concrete, I scrapped all of my skin off. Everybody thought he whipped my ass. With this last situation, I went to jail for two and half months for the domestic violence. I was like, ‘I hate you man.’ Because I felt like you should have been here or at least your butt in jail too with me. I felt like me and him together, if we didn’t change the situation, change ourselves it was just going to continue. KeKe : Well from woman to woman, keep yourself safe and your babies. Don’t let no man touch you. I don’t care how many years y’all been together. It don’t work like that. [Whispers] But if you are not really and truly happy, leave him alone. Is he still hitting you? Sara was arrested again in 2014 for another fight with her husband. It was a violation of her probation and she spent 93 days in jail. Since this clip was recorded, Stokes has divorced her abusive husband, Tony Stokes and her father was sentenced to 30 years in prison for abusing another child. Later, in the teaser, Stokes speaks about the abuse she saw her mother endure and the sexual molestation she experienced at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend and her biological father. According to The Daily Mail , Stokes went to live with her biological father after she told her stepmother of the abuse she experienced at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend. Tragically, her father ended up violating her in the same way. ‘I was like, ‘Yes! I’ve got all these Barbies and Cabbage Patch dolls and all these nice clothes, and I thought it was great — until I ended up being abused by my father,” Sara said, ‘I remember him throwing me down the hallway by my hair, knocking me out. … He was just really, really mean.’ ‘He had built this image of perfection on the outside, but on the inside, it was just chaos,’ Sara said. ‘When I was 12 years old, he ended up molesting me, too. That was the point when all trust went out the window for everybody, especially men. I just felt so hurt. It felt like a gunshot to my heart because I couldn’t believe this man I looked up to from when I was 5 years old, me thinking that he was my protector ends up doing the same thing.’ Sara turned to music to escape the pain of the betrayal. She sang in church choirs and in talent competitions. Eventually, she moved back in with her mother. But at 17, she met her husband Tony Stokes. The two married two years later. Sofia Richie finally had her Keeping Up With the Kardashians debut! And if you weren’t glued to your TV screen to get an inside look at the dynamic between her, Scott Disick, and his ex-GF Kourtney Kardashian , then allow me to fill you in on all of the awkwardness . And yes, there was enough to make even Rob Kardashian cringe. On Sunday’s all-new episode of KUWTK, Scott, Kourtney, and their three kids all embarked on a wintry vacation to Finland — a vacay that would easily make any Christmas fanatic jealous. (hi) But what made this vacation really stand out from the other thousands the Kardashian/Disick family took this year was that there was one special guest — Scott’s 21-year-old girlfriend. And although Kourtney politely extended the invitation to the model, Scott felt out of place the entire trip and honestly, she probably should have stayed home. But hey, it made great TV and we were 100% here for all of the uncomfyness. Finland was Kourtney’s dream destination and Disick really wanted “to be there” for her, but instead, he found himself too caught up worrying about Sofia. “It’s just hard because I’m like, trying to make everybody happy,” the Flip It Like Disick star admitted to his ex. “Everyone has different things. And I want you to be comfortable, I want Sofia to be comfortable.” Sofia also expressed that she did feel a tad left out because Kourtney and Scott already have “their ways” of doing things, and she felt she didn’t always “fit” into their life. “I hadn’t really had a second, by myself, to even have a conversation to make her feel comfortable,” Disick said. “She’s never been in this life that we’ve been doing for 10 years. It’s just a lot and then it’s all on me every night and day.” However, the Poosh.com boss was empathetic towards her ex’s situation and even offered to help Richie through filming. “I think you put so much pressure on things to make it perfect. I do that too,” Kourt said to Scott. “But I’ve been not really doing that as much anymore. You just think like, ‘Oh! It’s one more experience we have that we didn’t have before.'” After the two’s heart to heart conversation, (but, like, where is Sofia?) Scott took on a more positive outlook and declared he was ready to “make the most of this trip.” This resolution came after Kourtney confronted Scott for being “negative” during tourist activities. Not only did Scott ruin Santa’s headquarter visit by ditching out early, but he also complained about the group’s hot tub hangout. Ok, fair. But Kourtney didn’t see the problem. “Scott really wanted to come with us to Finland. So, I don’t know why he’s just having such a negative attitude,” Kourtney said during a testimonial interview. “I just want everyone to have a great time and a great experience. He’s just kind of putting a dark cloud over it.” But it wasn’t just Kourtney who was upset at Scott’s behavior. Sofia accused her boyfriend of acting differently around Kourtney during dinner at the beginning of the vacation. “You’re a lot more sophisticated with me when Kourtney’s around. You turn into a five-year-old when it’s just us,” Richie told Scott. Ok, of course, his relationship with Sofia, who is 21 (20 in this scene) , is going to be completely different than his relationship with Kourtney, 40, who he has to be in full-on dad mode with. And does that mean Sofia wants him to be more sophisticated with her? Are we sensing some jealousy here?? (this season is delivering! all I have to say about that.) But anyway, Scott didn’t appreciate her comment. “Sometimes, you know, you have so many inside jokes or inside things with somebody you’ve known for so long — even if you’re not romantically with them — you don’t really know how to act,” Disick admitted later on to the cameras, not to Sofia, of course. “It is definitely a really hard and awkward situation and I just feel bad.” But at the end of the day/episode, the 36-year-old just wanted his big blended family “to be happy.” Scott finally was able to relax once he realized that the kids and Kourtney were still having fun even when he and Sofia were having alone time, so I guess the trip was a success?
