Lisa Rinna Covers Britney Spears, Peforms "Baby One More Time" on Sing Your Face Off

Lisa Rinna channeled her inner Britney on ABC’s new reality show, Sing Your Face Off, belting out Spears’ 1999 smash hit “Baby One More Time.” Rocking Brit’s vintage pigtails, plaid skirt and belly-bearing collared shirt, the 50-year-old actress went all in, even mirroring the original choreography. Hot? Not? You decide: Lisa Rinna as Britney Spears – Baby One More Time The judges were more on the side of not. Debbie Gibson, Darrell Hammond and RuPaul gave her the lowest score of the night on the show, which apparently exists. Nevertheless, Lisa was pleased wit her effort. “It is a nonstop process for only five days, which is not a long time,” Rinna said . “I knew I just had to throw myself into it and cram like I was cramming for finals.” “I just went for it and I knew I would have to go hard or go home. You can’t just dip your toe into the water. You have to dive in or you will crash and burn.” “I had a blast doing it. She’s a great dancer and it was really challenging to become her,” she went on, noting that as an artist, “Britney is so specific.” “She’s an amazing performer, and when you really break someone down like Britney, she’s technical and does certain things with her voice that are very difficult.” Maybe that’s why you always see Britney Spears lip-syncing these days. Even she can’t pull off the Spears of old anymore ( Britney bikini photos aside). 17 Head-Scratching Britney Spears Live Moments 1. Guest-Starring Sharktopus! A Syfy ‘Waterworld’ Remake Could Be Genius

I’m starting to think the execs over at Syfy may be a bunch of secret geniuses. When I first read Forbes ‘ report that the NBC Universal -owned cable network is considering giving the lifeguard’s kiss to Waterworld as either a film for its new theatrical division or, more likely, a TV series for its prime-time schedule, I  almost choked on my coffee.   Just hearing the title of the $235-million 1995 stink bomb — until Titanic , reportedly the most expensive movie made — makes me simultaneously think of mildew and bacon. The first, because of the movie’s stagnant, waterlogged plot; the second, because Dennis Hopper’s  performance is so damn hammy.  The late actor, who played Deacon, the leader of the pirates known as Smokers,  actually says at one point in the movie: “Dry land is not just our destination, it is our destiny!” And the more I think about it, a Waterworld  reboot is Syfy’s destiny.  As the Forbes post notes, the movie does well every time it runs on the network, but with a little Syfy-style goosing, a TV series could become destination programming for B-movie nerds everywhere. Waterworld is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the polar icecaps have melted and land is sparse.  First of all, in a post-Katrina-Irene-Sandy world, the concept doesn’t seem all that farfetched anymore.  Better yet, that extremely moist setting makes an ideal universe  for Syfy to populate with all of the mutated monsters that have starred in its cheese-tastic original TV movies. The movie’s protagonist, the Mariner — who was played by  Kevin Costner — is, after all, a mutant, too. He sports gills and webbed feet. So, as long as we’re suspending disbelief for him, why not have him face down such inspired Syfy abominations as   Sharktopus , Mega-Python, Mega-Piranha, Piranhaconda — and, from above, Mansquito! — on a weekly basis.  I see parts for Barry Williams, Tiffany , Debbie Gibson and Kevin Sorbo.  And if Universal hasn’t settled its suit with mockbuster production house The Asylum , which produced some of the most successful and preposterous creature films to air on Syfy, maybe they can make nice and make waves.  (Ba-dum-bump!) Congrats, Asylum! Franchise Milestone Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark Is Coming

Exciting news today from the mockbuster mavens at The Asylum : The B-movie specialists have announced their next creature feature, Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark , a sequel to 2009’s Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and its 2010 follow-up Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus . This time around the hardy Mega Shark faces the ultimate enemy: Mecha Shark, “her mechanical doppelganger.” Contain yourselves! “The fan response to the Mega Shark franchise has been rabid,” said The Asylum partner Paul Bales in a statement. “In addition to a very persuasive online petition, we found that Mega Shark has taken on a life of her own. We’ve received photos of Mega Shark cakes, toys and games on a near-daily basis, and we thought it was high time she did battle with an iconic Mecha monster.” If you’ve been resistant to the charms of the Asylum’s brand of so bad they’re good genre pics and blockbuster knock-offs, now’s the time to come to terms with the truth: This is the closest cinema has come to replicating Gojira and its kaiju brethren since the golden years of Toho. What’s more, Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark will mark The Asylum’s first-ever trilogy. High five, guys! Let’s have a toast to the franchise contributions of Debbie Gibson and Jaleel White! Someone get me a Mega Shark cake! Take a look back at Mega Shark’s greatest hits and brainstorm: Which former ’80s/’90s idol will lead the cast this time around? ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Stars Talk Bonding On Set

Aubrey O’Day and Debbie Gibson tell MTV News they ‘didn’t get along in the beginning.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino Aubrey O’Day and Debbie Gibson Photo: MTV News This Sunday, a slew of celebrities will backstab and cat fight their way to the top of the heap when “Celebrity Apprentice” kicks off its new season. Considering who made the cut — a Gotti, a real housewife, several comedians and a few pop stars — drama will certainly ensue. MTV News had the pleasure of catching up with Debbie Gibson and former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day, who revealed how they went from enemies to besties while shooting the show. “I was somewhat familiar, but I was a little bit of a victim of perception,” Gibson said about O’Day, who is best known for her drama-filled run on MTV’s “Making the Band.” “I knew Aubrey’s persona, but not really a lot about her; I try not to judge anybody until I meet them anyway.” “I had Debbie Gibson, of course, on my iPod, and if I didn’t have it on my iPod, I heard every one of her songs during the entire show,” O’Day joked. While the two ladies are good pals now, O’Day recalls when that wasn’t the case. “We didn’t get along in the beginning; it wasn’t disrespectful,” she teased. “She was always singing all the time; it got on my nerves, but then we really got along. It’s like a distant memory now.” Gibson, who owned up to being the “obnoxious singing girl,” recalled when the two finally started to relate to each other. “There was an episode where we saw eye-to-eye over somebody else that was agitating both of us. So we bonded over that. We were kind of like ‘Oh my god! We’re on the same page after all.’ ” O’Day describes both girls as having Type-A personalities, making it easy for them to eventually bury the hatchet. “What I like about Aubrey is we kind of didn’t care that we didn’t jell. … We were being real about it,” Gibson said. “And then we were able to get over it.” Hosted by Donald Trump, the show will also feature “American Idol” season two runner-up Clay Aiken, racecar driver Michael Andretti, TV and radio personality Adam Carolla, actor Lou Ferrigno, former talk-show host Arsenio Hall, magician Penn Jillette, rocker Dee Snider, “Star Trek” actor George Takei, “American Chopper” star Paul Teutul Sr., actress Tia Carrere, “Real Housewives” castmember Teresa Giudice, Victoria Gotti of “Growing Up Gotti,” comedian Lisa Lampanelli, model and actress Cheryl Tiegs, Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, and actress and model Patricia Velasquez. The celebrity winner will earn $250,000 for the charity of their choice. Who are you rooting for on “Celebrity Apprentice”? Leave your comment below!
