House / Getty Marquis Jefferson, Father Of Atatiana Jefferson, Dies The father of the Fort Worth woman who was gunned down by a police officer in her home has unfortunately passed away. A family spokesperson confirmed that Marquis Jefferson, 58, suffered a heart attack and died Saturday night at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. “Less than a month ago, he was working at El Centro, mentoring kids twice a week,” family spokesman Bruce Carter told KXAS-TV (Channel 5). “He just couldn’t get back from what happened with his daughter.” Marquis Jefferson first made headlines when he filed a restraining order to put a stop to his daughter’s funeral that was planned without him. The funeral was rescheduled and held October 24. As previously reported 28-year-old Atatiana Jefferson was shot and killed Oct. 12 in her home while she was playing video games with her nephew. The officer who killed her now faces a murder charge. This is all so, so, sad. Our condolences go out to the whole Jefferson family.
Source: Elizabeth Fernandez / Getty Florida Teen Accused Of Trying To Hire Hitman To Kill A School Facility Member According to the Tampa Bay Times , an 18-year-old high school student is facing first degree solicitation to attempt murder charges after offering $100,000 for a hit on a high school staff member . Nicholas R. Godfrey was arrested after an Instagram account with the request for “a guy who could kill someone” was traced to a computer IP address at his home. Godfrey reportedly offered $100,000 to another student to clap unnamed Fivay High staff. Godfrey reportedly messaged: “No joke, I need him eliminated as soon as possible,” Authorities are still scratching their heads as to why he sent the request, as the teen had no known past problems with the staff member, who was provided protection as a precaution. Godfrey later confessed that he was only joking. “It doesn’t matter what the intent was,” the sheriff said. “When you do it and post it on social media, the crime is committed.” Godfrey is now sitting in a county jail.
In an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw that will air on Thursday night, Lindsie Chrisley confirms something obvious about her father: The guy is an enormous slimeball. Like, just really giant and huge and downright enormous. The wealthy real estate tycoon has risen to small screen fame over the years as the patriarch of a USA Network reality show titled “Chrisley Knows Best.” It chronicles the lives of Todd, his wife Julie and some of their kids — including daughter Lindsie, up until about two years ago. It was around this time that two things happened: Authorities started investigating Todd and Julie for tax evasion. Todd and his son, Chase, allegedly started trying to blackmail Lindsie to assist in this case by lying to said authorities. How did they do this? By telling Lindsie they would release a sex tape they had purchased of her unless she followed their orders and helped mislead investigators. Todd, of course, has not admitted to such a scheme. But former Bachelor star Robby Hayes has confessed to (accidentally) making a sex tape with Lindsie and no one who has been following this story doubts that the extortion attempt took place. And now Lindsie is opening up a new chapter in this story. In the aforementioned chat with Dr. Phil, Lindsie claims that Todd approached her at some point in the past and accused her of having an affair with someone at the Georgia Dept. of Revenue’s Office named Joshua Waites. Lindsie denied this accusation. But Todd and Julie have actually filed a lawsuit that alleges Waites at least tried to cozy up Lindsie in order to influence his department’s investigation. They provided text messages between Waites and Lindsie, such as the one below, as evidence: For the record, Todd and Julie were indicted for federal tax evasion in August. They were just cleared last week on a state leval , but the couple is still facing charges — and many years in prison — on a federal level. Back to Lindsie, though: She also tells Dr. Phil that, after she scoffed at her dad’s assertion of her affair with Waites, Todd strongly implied that he would release her sex tape AND nude photos of his own daughter to the press… … unless she helped him fight back against these financial fraud charges. Lindsie denies ever meeting Waites in person, but admits she did communicate with him, merely to protect her son. As for the whole sex tape thing? Todd might as well have confessed to it with this statement two months ago: “It’s heartbreaking and shameful that these kinds of accusations have to be aired in public. We have tried to keep Lindsie’s extramarital relationships with [Bachelor Nation stars] Robby Hayes and Josh Murray private for her sake since August of 2016. “Sadly, for reasons we can only guess at, she ran to the sheriff’s office to accuse her brother of buying a sex tape of her and Robby, which was a complete lie, and now she’s telling more lies about me.” Yup, Chrisley just outed his daughter for her supposedly unethical sex life. He then had the gall to end a subsequent Instagram post as follows: God is good , we drop our hands and surrender to God and will let God do the rest , you can’t claim FAITH and still express FEAR. The body of 43-year-old Joshua Grant Hensley was found by local marine officials on Monday, days after he was last seen heading out on Crystal River on his paddleboard. Hensley was often referred to as “Captain Jack Sparrow” by locals because he enjoyed dressing up like Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean character. Citrus County Sheriff’s Office shared the news via Facebook : The body of 43 year old Joshua Hensley was recovered by Marine Unit Deputies in the waters of Kings Bay in Crystal River.The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate the incident, and we will provide more information as it becomes available. We offer our deepest condolences to Joshua’s family and friends in this difficult time. “Captain Jack” was a beloved figure in the community and will be missed. A Crystal River native, Hensley owned his own paddleboarding company called Big Foot Paddle Boards. He was last seen by Hunter Springs Park Rangers around 6:30 pm Saturday, when authorities believe Hensley was heading to Shell Island to watch the sunset. They have yet to find any evidence that he ever made it there. Monday morning the Citrus Sheriff’s Office posted a missing persons alert on Facebook about Hensley’s disappearance, however the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Aviation and Marine Units searched the waters for Hensley and revealed just three hours after their initial post that they had located his body in the waters of Kings Bay. Hensley’s paddleboard was also discovered on Monday in King’s Bay near Pete’s Pier. Hensley’s final post on his company’s Facebook page , was captioned “ready to go have fun on the water” and featured a photo of himself in his Captain Jack Sparrow costume holding up his paddleboard. According to People reports , a celebration of life for Hensley has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. ET, where Hensley’s loved ones plan to remember him “for the amazing man he was.” “We will be encouraging everyone to come and tell their favorite stories of Josh, give hugs, and send little fiery boats out into the water he loved,” the Facebook event’s description reads. “We would appreciate if everyone would write a special message to Josh in your boats as well.” This is incredibly sad. He seems to have been a wonderful person, judging by the many comments on his Facebook and locals who recall him being very kind to kids. Prayers up to his loved ones.
Any true fans of Britney Spears rejoiced at the news that Jamie Spears is no longer her conservator (for now). But many have hoped that he’ll be brought to justice over an alleged attack on Britney’s son Sean Preston. Unfortunately (but unsurprisingly), police who were investigating have thrown up their hands and announced that Jamie will not be charged. Ventura County District Attorney Gregory D. Totten had the unenviable task of reporting that justice will not be served. “Criminal charges will not be filed against James Spears, of Westlake Village,” Totten announced, according to RadarOnline . He continued: “The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office investigated allegations involving child abuse by Mr. Spears.” “After reviewing the evidence,” Totten confessed. “There is insufficient proof that a criminal offense was committed by Mr. Spears.” That is a disappointment, but not a shocker. An inside source previously related the alleged events in question to RadarOnline . “Britney had the boys at Jamie’s condo on the evening of August 24,” the insider began. “Jamie and Sean Preston got into an argument,” the source noted. The insider explained that “Sean Preston felt unsafe and locked himself into a room.” No child should ever be given reason to feel unsafe around family, but it’s doubly awful that this was not enough to remove him from harm’s way. “Jamie broke into the room and shook Sean Preston,” the source revealed, matching up with all other descriptions of the event. That is awful. That is a description of abuse. “Jamie has a temper,” another insider noted. “Which is no secret to anyone in the family.” “Fortunately, Britney did the right thing,” the source continued. “And,” the insider said, the pop superstar “took her boys to safety and away from her father.” “The whole incident was very upsetting to her and her boys,” the source related. The insider added: “Kevin was and still is furious.” “Preston was not physically injured,” the source noted. “But very scared and shaken up.” Pun not intended, we hope. Most domestic abuse does not result in physical injuries. It doesn’t make it any less evil. So why is it not shocking that Jamie isn’t being charged with anything? Because most of us are all too aware of how little our society actually cares about the safety of children — at least when it comes to danger in their families. Look in the comments section of almost any story about domestic violence against a child, and you’re likely to see people applauding it. Additionally, our legal system is centuries old and not designed to prosecute abuse of a girlfriend, spouse, or child. When it was designed, remember, wives and children were essentially property of men. Too many times, investigations — even those with eyewitnesses — end with police shrugging at “insufficient evidence of a crime.” That has to change. In the mean time, thankfully, both Sean Preston and Jayden James are safe from that elderly ogre of a man. Britney is under a conservatorship, meaning that she felt that she could not sufficiently protect her sons from her father since he runs her life. So she did what any responsible mother would and amended her custody agreement so that Kevin has custody 70% of the time. Now, the boys are safe even with her, as they have restraining orders keeping Jamie away from them for the next three years. Jacksonville Police accused Godwin of repeatedly hitting the girl in her chest, back, legs and head with his fist and a belt in an attempt to get her to stop crying. #JSO Murder Arrest Johnathan Godwin has been arrested for the murder of a 3-year-old child that occurred on August 16, 2019. pic.twitter.com/mCiURD9IuZ — Jax Sheriff's Office (@JSOPIO) August 30, 2019 Reports say the teen was left in charge to babysit the little girl and two other small children. According to police : While watching the victim for several hours, [Godwin] became annoyed with the victim for crying and repeatedly hit her. The victim was found unresponsive by [Godwin’s] mother, and was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.” The report also revealed that Godwin had a history of “abusing and burning another small child. He was arrested on Friday after admitting to the abuse and confessing to being involved in the little girl’s death, which was ruled a homicide Wednesday. The teen is being held on murder and aggravated child abuse charges, but no word on whether or not his mother will face charges also.
Last month, fans and viewers of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way watched Aladin freak out over Laura’s vibrator . Right after the episode aired, Aladin purged all of Laura’s photos. But now, Laura says that Aladin deleted her pics for a very different reason — because he’s a no good dirty cheater. Back in late July, it looked like Aladin had dumped Laura after the vibrator episode aired across the world. Laura is an older American woman who was still adjusting to life in Qatar. Aladin is a young hottie. They seemed happy in their marriage, referring to sex as “jiggy-jiggy.” But while Laura, like most Americans, considered a vibrator a normal sex toy for individuals or couples, Aladin saw it as an attack on his masculinity. For the record, a wife wanting to actually orgasm during sex is not actually unreasonable. But after his reaction on the episode, fans saw Aladin purge Laura’s photos on Instagram and could only reach one conclusion: Aladin must have been upset at the episode showing his “humiliation” and broken up with Laura. It’s not a real surprise — some people have huge egos. There were also cultural differences in play. From his perspective, she had called him sexually inadequate in front of the entire world. But now, Laura says that it’s not true — and offers a very different explanation for why he erased her face from his ‘gram. “Why did Aladin delete the photos of you on his Insta?” a follower asked Laura. Laura replied: “Watch the show and you will see.” She also added a thumbs-up emoji. In another instance, she advised a commenter: “You don’t know were are not together.” However, somewhere along the line, Laura appears to have lost her cool. “When he stopped respecting me by cheating with other women , that’s how,” Laura wrote. Now, as 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way made very clear, polygamy is legal in Qatar. That was shared with Laura by surprise, more or less to get a reaction out of her for the cameras. But to be clear, that is not at all the same thing as cheating. Laura would have to know about and consent to Aladin having other girlfriends in order for it to be acceptable. If she did not then, well, Aladin cheated. Assuming that Laura’s accusation can be believed. From the beginning, the age gap between Laura and Aladin has raised some eyebrows. Fans and viewers wanted to know, well, when the other shoe would drop. Was Aladin hoping to get a spousal visa as a stepping stone to a green card? Some people have a lot of trouble accepting that not everyone flirts or falls in love based upon appearances. But even for the true romantics out there, something seemed a little off about this romance. Is Aladin’s true motive related to him cheating, or was the alleged cheating just something that he did because he’s young and hot? Todd Chrisley may be innocent of forging bank documents, hiding millions of dollars from the government and not paying his federal taxes for multiple years. We’ll let the authorities determine the authenticity of these allegations after the reality star and his wife were indicted this week on 12 counts of financial fraud. But one thing is certain: Todd Chrisley is a world class sleazeball. The USA Network personality pleaded not guilty to all the aforementioned charges brought against him in court yesterday, having alleged previously that a disgruntled former employee actually forged these documents and set both Todd and his wife up. Really, this is the guy’s defense. “We have nothing to hide and have done nothing to be ashamed of,” Todd wrote on Instagram this past Monday, blaming the entire ordeal on “a trusted employee of ours [who] had been stealing from us big time. But we’re actually not here to discuss Todd’s story or whether he really did commit these crimes. Not right now at least. Instead, for the sake of this article, we’re focusing instead on the relationship between Todd and his daughter, Lindsie. The latter is very much estranged from her parents, having quit Chrisley Knows Best in 2017 and having moved on to host a podcast with Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry. Due to her fractured non-connection to dad, some have actually theorized that Lindsie played some role in her parents’ indictment. Did she turn over any evidence to the police or alert them to her father’s activities in any way? No, Lindsie’s lawyer said in a statement yesterday. “The circumstances Todd and Julie find themselves in, is quite unfortunate. It was reported that Lindsie was the source of the information that led to her father’s arrest,” this statement reads. And it continues: “That is untrue, she was not the source of this information. “Lindsie has been a constant target of lies, harassment and threats from her family and as a result, has been distancing herself from the Chrisley family since 2017.” Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? It turns out that Todd’s estranged daughter filed a police report in June that alleged her brother, Chase, has purchased a sex tape that featured his sister. And that Chase and Todd were threatening to release it unless she agreed to lie about some sort of “incident.” It’s widely assumed that this “incident” is a reference to Todd and Julie’s alleged tax evasion. We report: Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? Perhaps even more incredibly, Todd has responded to this allegation — by hurling Lindsie so far under the bus that we may never see her ever again. We’re gonna bold the entire statement Todd released to E! News because each and every word is simply that stunning. Parker Mustian, 16, posted a video last month filled with hateful rhetoric while threatening gun violence against Black men. Local outlet WOLO-TV reports : A local 16-year-old has been charged with ‘Student Threats,’ after videos were shared of him making racial and violent threats. The teen was a student of Cardinal Newman School, but is now banned from the property. Although these events transpired last month, school parents were just made aware of the investigation this past weekend, and now one of the racially-charged videos is going viral on social media. According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the teen was taken to the juvenile wing of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on July 17. The 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said it cannot release any update on the status of the case because it involves a minor. Cardinal Newman Principal Robert Loia says in a letter sent to families Sunday, that it’s important to clarify the timeline surrounding the threatening videos. On July 13, Cardinal Newman School leaders were contacted by a parent of a student that had received a graphic and racist video made by the 16-year-old male student. In the video, the teen is shown shooting a box of Jordan’s, which he says ‘is the favorite pair of shoes for a black man.’ Right. Initially, the sheriff’s department didn’t view Mustian’s video as a criminal act but when Mustian threatened to shoot up the school after being withdrawn by his parents instead of facing expulsion while accepting a ban from its property, only then did police decide to arrest the boy on July 17.
