According to reports from The Bahamas’ EyeWitness News , a statement from Bahamas Information Services says that the pair of celebs visited the National Emergency Management Agency on Thursday. A video clip of Kanye and Fox visiting the Kendal G.L. According to WaPo reports, while visiting HUD’s San Francisco office this week Carson expressed concern about “big, hairy men” trying to gain access to women’s homeless shelters during an internal meeting. Three people present told the WaPo they interpreted Carson’s remarks as an attack on transgender women. Carson’s comments visibly shocked the 50 or so staffers in attendance at the Tuesday meeting, and at least one woman walked out in protest, witnesses to the comments said. Two of the agency staffers said that Carson also lamented that society no longer seemed to know the difference between men and women. SMH. Seriously. WTF. This is coming from the Housing and Urban Development SECRETARY. We’re talking about a group of people who are often subjected to worse housing discrimination than ANYONE. Often subjected to being shunned by their own families. Often in more need of housing than most other groups of people. And the highest government official in the department tasked with making sure AMERICANS in need of shelter talks about them. LIKE This? Another government official told the WaPo that Carson has repeatedly mocked transgender people in internal meetings in Washington. “His overall tone is dismissive and joking about these people,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. “It’s disrespectful of the people we are trying to serve.” Of course once the reports hit the media a HUD senior official released a statement that said: “The Secretary does not use derogatory language to refer to transgendered individuals. Any reporting to the contrary is false.” The official, who asked not to be named because he wasn’t present at the meetings in SF or Washington, said Carson was referring to men who pretend to be women to gain access to battered women’s shelters — and not singling out transgender women as “big, hairy men.” Who would you believe though? The officials at the meetings or the one who wasn’t? According to the three officials at the meeting in San Francisco, Carson prefaced his remarks about transgender people by saying he believed in fairness and equality, but not “special rights” for any class of people. Carson said that “transgender people should get the same rights as everyone else, but they don’t get to change things for everybody else,” according to one staffer who took notes during the meeting. There have already been calls for Carson’s resignation. U.S. Rep. Jennifer Wexton, a Democrat from Virginia called the remarks “revolting,” according to The Hill . “These comments only affirm that his recent efforts to erase the Equal Access Rule are rooted in ignorance, not sound policy. By allowing shelters to discriminate against transgender Americans, the Secretary is putting lives in danger,” she said. We agree. PLEASE American people make it stop.

Last month, fans and viewers of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way watched Aladin freak out over Laura’s vibrator . Right after the episode aired, Aladin purged all of Laura’s photos. Todd Chrisley may be innocent of forging bank documents, hiding millions of dollars from the government and not paying his federal taxes for multiple years. We’ll let the authorities determine the authenticity of these allegations after the reality star and his wife were indicted this week on 12 counts of financial fraud. But one thing is certain: Todd Chrisley is a world class sleazeball. The USA Network personality pleaded not guilty to all the aforementioned charges brought against him in court yesterday, having alleged previously that a disgruntled former employee actually forged these documents and set both Todd and his wife up. Really, this is the guy’s defense. “We have nothing to hide and have done nothing to be ashamed of,” Todd wrote on Instagram this past Monday, blaming the entire ordeal on “a trusted employee of ours [who] had been stealing from us big time. But we’re actually not here to discuss Todd’s story or whether he really did commit these crimes. Not right now at least. Instead, for the sake of this article, we’re focusing instead on the relationship between Todd and his daughter, Lindsie. The latter is very much estranged from her parents, having quit Chrisley Knows Best in 2017 and having moved on to host a podcast with Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry. Due to her fractured non-connection to dad, some have actually theorized that Lindsie played some role in her parents’ indictment. Did she turn over any evidence to the police or alert them to her father’s activities in any way? No, Lindsie’s lawyer said in a statement yesterday. “The circumstances Todd and Julie find themselves in, is quite unfortunate. It was reported that Lindsie was the source of the information that led to her father’s arrest,” this statement reads. And it continues: “That is untrue, she was not the source of this information. “Lindsie has been a constant target of lies, harassment and threats from her family and as a result, has been distancing herself from the Chrisley family since 2017.” Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? It turns out that Todd’s estranged daughter filed a police report in June that alleged her brother, Chase, has purchased a sex tape that featured his sister. And that Chase and Todd were threatening to release it unless she agreed to lie about some sort of “incident.” It’s widely assumed that this “incident” is a reference to Todd and Julie’s alleged tax evasion. We report: Whoa there, right? WHAT?!? Perhaps even more incredibly, Todd has responded to this allegation — by hurling Lindsie so far under the bus that we may never see her ever again. We have tried to keep Lindsie’s extramarital relationships with [Bachelor Nation stars] Robby Hayes and Josh Murray private for her sake since August of 2016. During a recent appearance on The Karen Hunter Show , the New Jersey native got a little broken up when asked about possibly mending her broken nuptials with Kelvin Hunter. “Girl, no. Don’t ask,” she exclaimed. “I know what you’re saying, but my family is good, and we’ll always be family.” In an effort to secure the freshest brew of tea Karen asked if she is dropping the Hunter from her government name. Conditions at the jail are so bad, the local sheriff now refuses to send arrestees there. https://t.co/vYvhKfdaEn — The Appeal (@theappeal) April 16, 2019 Family Of Jamycheal Mitchell Reaches $3 Million Settlement, Hampton Roads Regional Jail Being Investigated The family of a Virginia man who died in jail has been granted a settlement. Jamycheal Mitchell passed away at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail in Portsmouth, Virginia, on August 19, 2015. He was behind bars for months after he was arrested on charges of trespass and petit larceny for allegedly stealing a 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew, a king size Snickers bar and a Zebra Cake which accumulated to about $5 worth of snacks from a 7-Eleven. The Appeal recently released an extensive story about Jamycheal’s alleged abuse in the jail. The website notes that Jaymycheal was ordered to receive mental health treatment after he was declared unfit to stand trial. The Virginia man had a history of severe mental disability including a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. The treatment did not happen however and he was incarcerated at the Portsmouth correctional facility up until his death. He was allegedly treated poorly all the way up to his demise. “While incarcerated at the jail, correctional officers allegedly struck Mitchell on the knuckles with a flashlight, hurled profanities, mocked him, and called him “dirty,” all as punishment for being uncooperative. When Mitchell was found dead in his cell in August 2015, he was covered in urine. Portsmouth’s chief medical examiner said the cause of death was a “probable cardiac arrhythmia accompanying wasting syndrome of unknown etiology.” His family settled lawsuits against the jail and NaphCare, the company that provided medical services for the jail, for approximately $3 million. Now Hampton Roads Regional jail is continuing to be investigated and the DOJ threatened to sue them if they did not improve conditions in particular for those with mental health issues. The DOJ also criticized the incarceration of 62 people with severe mental illness at Hampton Roads who had booking histories of “minor offenses,” such as shoplifting, trespassing, and violating their probation. Unfortunately, the DOJ’s yet to take action, a delay that could possibly be in part because of the government shutdown. The Appeal reports; “In its December 2018 report, the DOJ gave the jail just over a month and a half to implement its recommendations. The agency also said it would sue if the jail did not “satisfactorily” improve its conditions during that time period. But when the deadline passed in February, the federal government had just emerged from the longest shutdown in history. As of early this month, the DOJ had not followed through on its threat to sue Hampton Roads. (The agency did not respond to The Appeal’s request for comment.) The jail continues to work with the DOJ on its recommendations, Hackworth said. He told The Appeal that he is awaiting more clarity from the agency on its more than 40 recommended remediations, such as auditing of administrative records regularly for completeness and accuracy, ensuring there are improved intake screenings and health assessments, and ending restrictive housing for people who say they are suicidal.” Now The Virginian Pilot reports that an unfortunate fight has broken out between Jamychael’s family members for the settlement money. Jamycheal’s mother’s side of the family is reportedly fighting with his father’s side. “The mother’s side argues they were closer to Jamycheal and deserve most, if not all, of the money. The mother believes she should receive the “majority,” with the half sister receiving a “reasonable” portion. The maternal half-sister wants an equal split between the two. The father’s side said they were all equally close to him. Therefore, they believe they should all receive equal portions: about $215,000 a person. We pray that Jamycheal’s family finds some middle ground and that the DOJ continues to look into a facility where 68 in-custody deaths took place between 2003 and 2018.

Back in 2015, the Odd Future founder was informed that he was prohibited from entering Britain for the next three to five years. According to legal documents, the decision was due to the rapper’s controversial lyrical content, specifically citing songs from the 2009 Bastard and 2011 Goblin projects. He was then issued a letter that referenced the country’s Home Office policy on “behaviours unacceptable in the UK”; this was a set of guidelines created in 2005 to prevent suspected terrorists from entering the country. The UK Home Office addressed the ban in the following statement: “Coming to the UK is a privilege, and we expect those who come here to respect our shared values. The Home Secretary has the power to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good or if their exclusion is justified on public policy grounds.” The decision came about a month after Tyler announced the cancelation of his Australia tour on his Twitter page. He informed fans he was banned from Oz after feminist organization Collective Shout pressured the government to deny his visa. “Now [the UK government] are just followers. Everyone is a follower, just following what other countries are doing,” Tyler told The Guardian , suggesting the UK was taking cues from Australia in their ban. “Now I’m getting treated like a terrorist. I’m bummed out because it’s like, dude, I’m not homophobic. I’ve said this since the beginning. The “hating women” thing – it’s so nuts. It’s based on things I made when I was super-young, when no one was listening [to my music].” Fast forward to today, a fan named Sam Roberts created a petition that asks the UK government to end Tyler’s ban immediately. The petition page states that the lyrics in question were “intended as adult humour” and no longer reflect the person Tyler is today, so many years later. According to the page, this petition needs to receive at least 10,000 signatures to get a reaction from the government, and at least 100,000 signatures to be considered for debate in Parliament.
