Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may have made passionate love for many years as a steady and strong couple. But the stars are no longer making nice. Not a few days after the announcement of their shocking split , not after conflicting reports have emerged in regard to where this long-term relationship went so tragically wrong. This past Saturday evening, a rep for the singer issued the usual sort of confirmation one makes after one’s client ends a serious romance. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” this rep told People Magazine, adding at the time: “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. “Please respect their process and privacy.” LOL over this last part, right? At almost the same time this announcement was made, photos of Miley kissing Kaitlynn Carter in Italy emerged. She’s the ex-wife of reality star Brody Jenner and, yes, she’s a woman. Did Cyrus actually cheat on Hemsworth ? Was there trouble in married paradise long before this same-sex lip-lock? Was Miley just sick of boning Liam every night ? As you might expect, many questions have been floating around the Internet in regard to this split, with TMZ now reporting that things have turned VERY ugly between the exes. The accusations are just flying back and forth. THIS IS WHAT MILEY’S SIDE IS ALLEGING: The singer did all she could to save the marriage. She encouraged couple’s therapy and she was willing to work on the failing aspects of the relationship — but Hemsworth was drinking a ton and using various drugs. Especially due to her own history of substance abuse, Cyrus wanted no part of any of this. So there’s that. THIS IS WHAT LIAM’S SIDE IS ALLEGING: All those charges listed above are total and complete malarkey. What really transpired here? Miley cheated with Carter. “This is another attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity and recent outrageous public behavior,” an insider close to Hemsworth tells TMZ, further muddying the waters of this break-up. The couple got married in December after dating on and off for about 10 years. Cyrus, however, recently gave an interview in which she bristled over the term wife and made it clear she is still very attracted to women. To be clear, neither Miley nor Liam has leveled any of the accusations described here. These all came from anonymous sources. Earlier this week, both celebrities issues vague/profound/amicable statements of their own in response to the split, starting with this from Cyrus: Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Following a mere eight months of marriage — but a decade of mostly being together, with the occasional hiatus here and there — Cyrus and Hemsworth pulled the plug on their romance over the weekend. The young girl who was recorded in the infamous and wide-spread tape of R. Kelly engaging in sexual acts is going back on years of precedence and cooperating with investigators in the child pornography case against the R&B singer. You may recall in the 2008 trial against Kelly, the girl in the tape along with her family members refused to testify against the singer. The decision, many believe, ultimately resulted in the jury acquitting the singer. But things have changed since 2008. Our society’s awareness and understanding of sexual assault has increased while Kelly’s funds have dwindled. According to The New York Times , the extent of this girl’s cooperation with authorities isn’t clear, her lawyer, Christopher L. Brown spoke of her willingness to work with authorities days after Kelly was accused, in a federal indictment, of paying the girl and her father to lie to investigators to protect him. In the indictment, Kelly gave the girl and her family gifts, money before and after the trial in exchange for her lying to investigators, being unavailable for interviews and refusing to testify against him. In addition to child pornography, Kelly is facing state and federal charges of obstruction of justice, sexual assault and racketeering. He is accused of perpetrating these acts against 12 women, at least eight of which were underage at the time he was sexually involved with them. Earlier this week, Kelly who wore ankle shackles along with his orange jumpsuit, pled not guilty to the charges. Though his attorney argued that he was not a flight risk and had appeared at all of his court appointments on time, a judge denied bond calling the case “extraordinarily serious.” If convicted, Kelly would face the maximum of 195 years in prison. Prosecutors believe that there were many more girls, beyond the initially cited 12, who were victim to Kelly’s abuse. This decades-long history of abuse was documented through witness and survivor testimony in the dream hampton produced documentary “Surviving R. Kelly” which aired on Lifetime this past January. It’s impact cannot be overstated and a month later, Kelly was facing new charges in Chicago. Singer Sparkle was the only member from the girl’s family to testify against Kelly in 2008, identifying her niece in the tape. In our exclusive interview, she shared that the decision cost her the relationship with her family. Nida, who was sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud charges, will be released from the halfway house in October. Back in January 2014, Nida was arrested and pleaded guilty in charges to a fraud scheme that according to prosecutors stole millions of dollars from over 50 people during a four year period. Nida had previously served five years in federal prison for auto title fraud before wedding Parks in 2009. If you’re anything like us, you’re deeply traumatized by the events of Sunday night’s Game of Thrones. Missandei. Rhaegal. Ghost being dismissed by Jon Snow without so much as a pat on the head … it was all too much to take. There was a lot of fun to be had — a boozy rager at Winterfell and Brienne losing her V-card to Jaime, for example — but you can bet such moments of levity will be in short supply as the show enters its final two episodes. Yes, believe it or not, in just two weeks’ time, there will never again be another new episode of Game of Thrones for the internet to lose its mind over. It’s a sad thought to contemplate — but don’t worry, the show is sure to give you a whole lot more to be sad about before it takes its final bow on May 19. It’s in that spirit that we bring you the trailer for the penultimate installment of the one show on television that truly lives up to the word “epic.” Emilia Clarke says GoT Season 8 Episode 5 is her favorite of the entire series. We’ll have to withhold judgment on that score, as the trailer — really doesn’t give us much in the way of information. In fact, there’s not a single line of dialogue in the entire clip: Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 Preview: It Is ON! So what information can we glean from the preview, which clocks in at a scant 30 seconds? Well, it looks as though the main action of the story will (finally) shift to King’s Landing, where Cersei Lannister is still looking mighty smug with the monster known as the Mountain standing behind her. We’re looking forward to someone wiping that smug smirk off her face, but after watching Dany slowly lose her mind last week, we’re not sure she’d be a much better ruler. Other than that, the trailer doesn’t tell us much — other than the fact that it looks like we’re in for more sword-slinging and dragon fire. In past seasons, GoT’s second-to-last episode has been its most action-packed. Will the show follow that pattern on Sunday? Will this be the week that Stark-Targaryen alliance wipes out the Lannisters, leaving the finale to focus on the political intrigue concerning the rightful heir to the Iron Throne? That remains to be seen — but at least we can bet on this clash of queens being much better-lit than the Battle of Winterfell .
Well, the Long Night has been averted, and the Night King and his army are officially vanquished. Whether you were thrilled by the Battle of Winterfell or you’re one of the many who spent 90 minutes fiddling with the brightness settings on their TV in hopes of actually seeing some of the action, it’s now time to move on to the next conflict — the last war, as Daenerys calls it. And if Sunday’s episode didn’t do it for you, we have good news and some bad news: The good — with the longest battle sequence in TV history behind us, it’s back to the sex, wine, and political intrigue that set GoT apart in its earlier, less expensive seasons. The bad — at least some of the action will take place at Winterfell again this week … and there’s a whole lot of sword-slinging yet to come. Here are some-newly released photos from the episode, which we will now compulsively dissect in a frivolous search for useful information: Apparently, Jon Snow emerged from the Battle of Winterfell with just the slightest of scratches. The plot armor is strong with this one. We kid, of course. Killing off Jon while Melisandre was still around would’ve been a waste of time, and no one wants to see Aegon freakin’ Targaryen sidelined with an Ace bandage on his swording elbow during the war against Cersei. An unscathed Jon was always a foregone conclusion, and we’re okay with that. Of course, a lot of folks weren’t as lucky as our core group of heroes. Here, Arya and others pay their respects to the many who were cut down by the Night King’s army of the dead. They’d better get those final words in fast because even with the Night King gone, you can never be too careful when it comes to disposing of corpses. As many fans have already pointed out, the torchbearers here represent the various groups who fell in battle (Grey Worm for the Unsullied, Dany for the Dothraki, etc). And not that’s the only indication that a considerable amount of thought went into this funeral pyre ceremony. Dany’s dragons could’ve easily torched the whole lot with one deep breath. So it looks like we’re in for a tender moment before the bloodshed — of course, this is still Game of Thrones , so it’s a tender moment involving a pile of dead bodies. Speaking of Dany’s dragons — yes, the two that were still on the side of the living survived the Battle of Winterfell. Now, it’s time to go wreak some havoc and reign hellfire on King’s Landing! And if you’re anything like us, you’ve been waiting quite some time for Cersei, Euron, and the walking nightmare fuel that is the Mountain to get lit up like Christmas trees. Yes, waiting for Dany and company down south is the current occupant of the Iron Throne and her sidepiece of the moment. (She may not be on the greatest terms with Jaime right now, but you know Cersei is kicking Euron to the curb as soon as she sees her brother/boo.) No one gets serious with a dude named Euron. Especially when he looks like what would happen if Bam Margera got super into pirate cosplay. So there you have it — everything we know so far about the Game of Thrones S09E04 — title TBA because HBO is just messing with us this season.
