13 Dark TV Characters With Even Darker Secrets

TV characters keeping secrets is not new. This much is obvious. They help advance the narrative, but some characters are a little bit darker.  That may be a cause for concern, but with secrets even darker, it makes for some great TV.  Have a look at the 13 characters we've rounded up who have even darker secrets.  1. Laurel Castillo – How to Get Away with Murder Laurel first appeared as one of the most delightful characters on all of TV, but as How to Get Away Murder has progressed, the darkness inside her has intensified. She started lying to her friends and disappeared the moment the truth about just how effed up her family really is came to light. 2. Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke – Revenge Amanda Clarke posed as Emily Thorne in the Hamptons for four seasons on Revenge. Her mission was clear: To take down every single person who caused problems for her family. She had a lot of secrets and was willing to get her hands dirty to pull off the ultimate revenge plan. 3. Lucious Lyon – Empire Lucious is always scheming. He lies to get his point across and hides a lot from his family. He’s the worst. 4. Georgina Sparks – Gossip Girl Georgina was Gossip Girl for a short spell, but she made a big mistake. Having as many secrets as she does and spilling the tea about everyone else caught up with her in the end. 5. Blake Carrington – Dynasty This is the man who swindled his ex-wife of her livelihood. He wouldn’t give a damn about hurting one of his offspring in the name of increasing his power. It’s sad. It makes sense then that he has a lot of skeletons in his closet. 6. Sabrina Spellman – Chilling Adventures of Sabrina On the surface, Sabrina may seem like the girl next door. In reality, she’s a teenage witch and worships the Dark Lord. Despite trying to stay on the side of good, she’s just a thread away from being pulled on the path of darkness. View Slideshow

13 TV Characters Who Are a Waste of Air

Some characters make watching TV shows worthwhile.  Others… not so much. Some make you wonder why you're even watching said TV show. Know what we mean? Below, we've listed characters who are a waste of air. It's sad, but true. They suck. And this is why: 1. Rick Grimes – The Walking Dead Look, we really loved Rick during the earlier seasons of The Walking Dead. He took the leadership role very seriously, but somewhere along the way, he started to make mistakes. He didn’t take ownership of them and continued to be in power. He may be gone from the main series, but fans still have to endure this character sulking his way through a trilogy of movies. 2. Jon Snow – Game of Thrones At one point, people cared about Jon Snow, but by the time the final season arrived, he might as well have been a guest star. He did very little for five episodes, before plucking up the courage to murder his aunt/lover. His reward? Going beyond the wall … after the Night King’s army had been obliterated. 3. Owen Hunt – Grey’s Anatomy Remember when April and Arizona were written out of Grey’s Anatomy because the creative forces behind the show were struggling to serve all of the characters? Well, Owen should have been the one to go before either of those two. His storyline has been tedious for several seasons. He sucks the air out of every scene he’s in. It’s time for him to go. 4. Alaric Saltzman – Legacies Alaric has appeared on The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and more recently, Legacies. The character continues to make the same mistakes he has since the character first appeared on screens in 2009. More recently, his ridiculous decision to not teach his students defensive magic almost resulted in a lot of them dying. 5. Laurel Castillo – How to Get Away with Murder It’s Laurel’s world and everyone is just living in it … at least, according to her. Every single plot twist over the last few seasons have most revolved around Laurel and her crazy family and it needs to stop. 6. Octavia Blake – The 100 At one point, Octavia was the best part of The 100, but her descent into madness during the show’s fifth season solidified her as a villain, and completely irredeemable. Here’s How Arya Starks Actress Maisie Williams Wishes “Game Of Thrones” Would Have Ended Differently

View this post on Instagram Only ONE episode left of the LAST ( ) season of #gameofthrones – the absolute legend @maisie_williams as #aryastark #GoT #nikon #smpsp #hbo #stillsphotographer #season8 #forthethrone #maisiewilliams A post shared by Helen Sloan (@helenstills) on May 14, 2019 at 3:03pm PDT “Game Of Thrones” Actresses Admit The Ending Was Disappointing “Game of Thrones’” finale left much to be desired for many longtime fans of the show, but it turns out that the show’s actors would have written different endings for themselves as well. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Maisie Williams said her biggest regret for her character was not getting a season 8 scene with Cersei actress Lena Headey. “I just wanted to be on set with Lena again, she’s good fun,” Williams explained. “And I wanted Arya to kill Cersei even if it means [Arya] dies too. Even up to the point when Cersei’s with Jaime I thought [while reading the script], ‘He’s going to whip off his face [and reveal its Arya]’ and they’re both going to die. I thought that’s what Arya’s drive has been.” We’re pretty sure the WHOLE world of watchers were disappointed that Arya didn’t employ any of her Many-Faced-God skills during Season 8 — and it would have been especially gratifying against Cersei as Jaime, right? View this post on Instagram As I watch all the “thank yous” and all the final “goodbyes” on screen – a flood of emotions accompanies each one. You want to live your life like me?’” Williams said. “In my head, the answer was: ‘Yeah.’ But I guess sleeping with Gendry, seeing Jon again, realizing she’s not just fighting for herself anymore but also her family — it’s bringing up all these human emotions that Arya hasn’t felt for a long time. When The Hound asks her if she has another option, all of a sudden there are so many more things in [Arya’s] life that she can live for, that she can do. It was a shock for me because that wasn’t how I envisioned her arc going this year. Then I realized there were other things I could play, bringing Arya back to being a 16-year-old again.” “It’s not a Game of Thrones ending for Arya, it’s a happy ending,” she concludes. “It gave me a place to take Arya that I never thought I’d go with her again.” View this post on Instagram Beautiful @nathalieemmanuel You represented hope and true strength. I didn’t like that day up there A post shared by Lena Headey (@iamlenaheadey) on May 13, 2019 at 11:23pm PDT Williams isn’t the only one who was looking for an Arya/Cersei faceoff. According to EW, Headey said she hoped she’d have a scene with Williams in the final season as well. “I lived that fantasy until I read the script,” Headey said. “There were chunky scenes and it was nothing that I had dreamt about. It was a bit of come down and you have to accept that it wasn’t to be. There is something poetic about the way it all happens in the end with her and Jaime.” She’s right — there’s nothing anyone can do but to accept the weak a** ending that the writers gave us. What do your “GOT” alternate endings look like?

Kit Harington to Game of Thrones Critics: Go F-ck Yourselves!

For years, we were told on Game of Thrones that Jon Snow knows nothing. But the actor behind this legendary character has now turned the tables and basically said the same exact things to critics of the HBO drama. In the wake of the polarizing Game of Thrones finale , Kit Harington has come out and sent a very pointed message to anyone who thought less of this episode… … and/or the final season in general. “How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant,” the star told Esquire in a just-released interview, explaining in more detail: ” I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season – and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here – but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgement on it, in my head they can go f-ck themselves.” Why does Harrington feel this way? “‘Cause I know how much work was put into this,” he replied. The finale was a trainwreck, there’s almost no debate about this takeaway. It was simply an awful episode of television . But viewers have been against Season 8 as a whole for the most part, pointing to rushed, illogical storytelling in the form of Dany suddenly becoming a homicidal maniac and Jaime returning to Cersei after sleeping with Brienne. “I know how much people cared about this,” Harrington continued about the final season. “I know how much pressure people put on themselves and I know how many sleepless nights working or otherwise people had on this show. “Because they cared about it so much. Because they cared about the characters. Because they cared about the story. Because they cared about not letting people down.” View Slideshow: Game of Thrones: 19 Questions We Have About That Terrible Finale There’s a good chance here that Harington is mostly talking about the Game of Thrones petition that has been going around. It has amassed close to one million signatures and it has called for HBO to hire a new batch of writers and reair and entire new eighth season at some point in the future — a notion that is totally absurd and very disrespectful to all involved. “If people feel let down by it, I don’t give a f-ck, because everyone tried their hardest,” Harringon added. “That’s how I feel. In the end, no one’s bigger fans of the show than we are, and we’re kind of doing it for ourselves. That’s all we could do, really. “And I was just happy we got to the end.” In the concluding episode, Harington’s Jon Snow killed Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys after telling her she’d always be his queen and kissing her. It was a fairly predictable development after Daenerys set fire to all of King’s Landing a week before. Sophie Turner, meanwhile, the actress behind Sansa, agreed with Harrington when the topic of the petition was broached. “All of these petitions and things like that… I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season. Like 50-something night shoots,” she  said in an interview with The New York Times. She concluded: “So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.” We agree with this sentiment. Game of Thrones: 19 Lingering Questions from That Finale

Game of Thrones may have sky-rocketed to global popularity due in part to its penchant for blood, gore, sex, violence and suspense. But the biggest surprise of the Game of Thrones finale may have been how the writers tossed all these aspects of the series aside and instead focused on… … a lot of very boring talking. That was our main takeaway from a pretty awful final episode. We explained why we believed this to be the case HERE , but now we're back with a different take on Season 8 Episode 6. We're here to ask a handful of questions about what we just witnessed, from character motivations to confusing plot points and everything in between… 1. That’s All It Took to Kill Cersei and Jaime? A single layer of bricks? Sort of seems like they could have recovered from that sort of blow — or moved a few feet to the left and have avoided the entire avalanche! 2. What Happened After Jon Killed Dany? Just literally: What happened? Drogon (more on him momentarily) flew away with Dany’s corpse… so did Jon confess to the Unsullied? Did they find him crying over what he had just done? Did he run out and confess? How the heck did the show decide NOT to include this very practical and necessary detail? 3. And Then What Happened? Greyworm almost killed Jon for touching his arm and trying to stop him from killing Cersei’s soldiers early in the episode. In what universe do the Unsullied not kill Jon the nanosecond they learn he’s murdered their queen? 4. Instead, They… … contact the Lords and Ladies of Westeros and ask them to pay King’s Landing a visit after they decide to simply imprison Jon for his Queen killing?!?!? 5. Did Drogon think the Pointy Chair killed His Mom? Or Was He Keenly Aware of the Dangers of a Monarchy and Just Really Adept at Identifying Physical Symbolism? Gotta be one or the other, right? 6. Why the Eff Did Anyone Listen to Tyrion? The guy just spent the past several months strongly advocating to Dany; to such an extent that he basically sentenced his best friend to death because Varys disagreed. And now everyone is just totally on board with his Bran-for-King recommendation? Could Tyrion possibly just be a bad judge of character? View Slideshow

Larissa Lima Gets WHAT Bleached?! "It’s So Pink Now!"

Back in February, Larissa Lima showed off her new face and new hair . She had undergone a few procedures, including jawline fillers and a good old-fashioned haircut. Now, Larissa has undergone another, more intimate procedure. You might say that she has changed her ring tone . And we're not talking about her phone. As Larissa shared with her fans, she got her private bits bleached. She shared a photo along with the announcement, and cannot stop raving about the color. 1. Larissa Lima got some more work done! You’re probably thinking that maybe headlines are misleading, and Larissa got lip fillers or something. Nope. She makes that very clear. 2. Larissa posted this photo to Instagram In the captions, she writes “Love to get my private parts bleached at Spoiled Laser :)” followed by three red heart emojis. 3. She loves the results Larissa writes: “It’s so pink now!!” followed by a VERY illustrative emoji of a tight, circular, pink flower. 4. She doesn’t really spell it out, but … What she’s talking about is likely anal bleaching. Notably, this does not usually refer to literal “bleach,” the chemical, but lightening skin tone. There IS such a thing as “vaginal bleaching,” in which parts of the labia are lightened in color, but between common sense and Larissa’s emoji choice, anal bleaching sounds like the most likely procedure. 5. This is not Larissa’s first cosmetic rodeo Just one month after her disastrous, scary breakup with Colt Johnson, Larissa underwent a dramatic beauty makeover 6. She changed her face The surprisingly subtle use of fillers gave her clearer jawline definition. View Slideshow

Game of Thrones Finale: Is Arya Dead?!?

Viewers were left with plenty of questions after Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 , most of them based on frustration over the plot and/or the pacing. Did Dany’s homicidal heel turn make sense? Was it unsatisfying to see Cersei not get killed off by one of her enemies? Is Tyrion the dumbest Hand of the King or Queen to ever hold that job? But at least a handful of fans also have a far more practical question or concern. They’re wondering: Is Arya dead?!? The youngest Stark daughter entered King’s Landing on this penultimate installment of the epic drama in order to slay Cersei herself. However, just as Arya and The Hound arrived at their destination (the latter intent on finally killing his brother), Arya was talked out of crossing a name off her list by her very unexpected good friend. The Hound convinced Arya (pretty darn quickly, some might say) NOT to pursue a life based on revenge because, well, take a look at him and his unhappiness. At this, Arya turned around and tried to make her way out of the rubble. Buildings collapsed all around her. Fire rained down. Men, women and children were blown into bits by Dany and her dragon. And yet… Arya survived. The episode ended with her coming across a mysterious white horse and riding it away from the battle and, presumably, to safety. Did she really, though? A new theory has emerged online in which some Game of Thrones fans believe Arya is actually dead. They cite the number of times she somehow made her way through near-death situations on the episode, along with the alleged identity of that random white horse. Remember the animal leading the Golden Company at the outset of the 80 minutes, these social media users ask? It looks almost identical to the horse who rode in to save the day — but that horse was killed in battle. So you know what this has to mean, right? “Yeah, I’m pretty sure Arya is dead too,” one user writes, adding: “She got all burnt up and a building fell on her. They made a point of showing us the death of the horse and the countless deaths of Arya. And yet they both rise from the ashes. “If this isnt some lord of light shit, I’m gonna be pissed.” Many viewers, of course, are already pissed over how this season has gone. They really don’t know whether the finale can save the show or not . At the very least, however, these same viewers are hoping or assuming that Arya kills Dany, perhaps using the fancy changing face technique she learned while training to be an assassin.  This might be difficult to do if Arya is dead, however. Are you buying this theory at all? And where do you stand on Game of Thrones Season 8? Can it possible be redeemed? Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 Preview: How Will It End?

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 Photos: What Do They Tell Us About the War to Come?

Well, the Long Night has been averted, and the Night King and his army are officially vanquished. Whether you were thrilled by the Battle of Winterfell or you’re one of the many who spent 90 minutes fiddling with the brightness settings on their TV in hopes of actually seeing some of the action, it’s now time to move on to the next conflict — the last war, as Daenerys calls it. And if Sunday’s episode didn’t do it for you, we have good news and some bad news: The good — with the longest battle sequence in TV history behind us, it’s back to the sex, wine, and political intrigue that set GoT apart in its earlier, less expensive seasons. The bad — at least some of the action will take place at Winterfell again this week … and there’s a whole lot of sword-slinging yet to come. Here are some-newly released photos from the episode, which we will now compulsively dissect in a frivolous search for useful information: Apparently, Jon Snow emerged from the Battle of Winterfell with just the slightest of scratches. The plot armor is strong with this one. We kid, of course. Killing off Jon while Melisandre was still around would’ve been a waste of time, and no one wants to see Aegon freakin’ Targaryen sidelined with an Ace bandage on his swording elbow during the war against Cersei. An unscathed Jon was always a foregone conclusion, and we’re okay with that. Of course, a lot of folks weren’t as lucky as our core group of heroes. Here, Arya and others pay their respects to the many who were cut down by the Night King’s army of the dead. They’d better get those final words in fast because even with the Night King gone, you can never be too careful when it comes to disposing of corpses. As many fans have already pointed out, the torchbearers here represent the various groups who fell in battle (Grey Worm for the Unsullied, Dany for the Dothraki, etc). And not that’s the only indication that a considerable amount of thought went into this funeral pyre ceremony. Dany’s dragons could’ve easily torched the whole lot with one deep breath. So it looks like we’re in for a tender moment before the bloodshed — of course, this is still Game of Thrones , so it’s a tender moment involving a pile of dead bodies. Speaking of Dany’s dragons — yes, the two that were still on the side of the living survived the Battle of Winterfell. Now, it’s time to go wreak some havoc and reign hellfire on King’s Landing! And if you’re anything like us, you’ve been waiting quite some time for Cersei, Euron, and the walking nightmare fuel that is the Mountain to get lit up like Christmas trees. Yes, waiting for Dany and company down south is the current occupant of the Iron Throne and her sidepiece of the moment.  (She may not be on the greatest terms with Jaime right now, but you know Cersei is kicking Euron to the curb as soon as she sees her brother/boo.) No one gets serious with a dude named Euron. Especially when he looks like what would happen if Bam Margera got super into pirate cosplay. So there you have it — everything we know so far about the Game of Thrones S09E04 — title TBA because HBO is just messing with us this season. Feel free to come back to this spot on Sunday night and point out how wrong all our assumptions were. View Slideshow: Game of Thrones Photos: Bring It On, White Walkers!

Game of Thrones: Was the Battle of Winterfell a King-Size Disappointment?

Well, one of the biggest weekends on the 2019 pop cultural calendar is officially behind us, and all over America, fanboys and haters alike are hashing out their differences. Both Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones ‘ Battle of Winterfell saw the deaths of some beloved characters, but GoT being GoT, it’s not surprising that some viewers expected even more carnage. Obviously, the remainder of this article is dark and full of spoilers (We miss you already, Melisandre.), so proceed no further if you have yet to watch Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 . (Which was surprisingly not titled “The Battle of Winterfell,” but is instead officially known as “The Long Night.”) The stakes and the expectations for the episode could not have been much higher. It was the most expensive Game of Thrones to date with a whopping 85-minute runtime. Marketing materials promised the longest continuous battle sequence in film or television history. From a narrative standpoint, the episode would conclude the Night King/White Walker storyline that was set into motion in the show’s very first scene. Fans hoped the installment would also deliver some big-time emotional payoff and set the stage for the series’ final three episodes. On some of those promises, the show inarguably delivered (that was certainly one very lengthy battle), but others … maybe not so much. On Twitter, complaints were plentiful — granted, that’s always the case with Twitter, but the response to “The Long Night” seemed even more mixed than usual. One of the primary beefs was the fact that the episode very much lived up to its name. It was long, and it was very, very dark. Literally. Many viewers complained that they had difficulty following the action due to the low lighting. Others complained of jump cuts and the visual anonymity of the combatants. Yes, it made sense that the dueling armies were all attired so similarly, but combined with shadowy motif, this often made it difficult to tell who was swinging the sword and who was being cut down. Speaking of violent death, some fans felt there just wasn’t enough of it. Or more accurately, they felt more top-tier characters should have met their demise. Sure we lost Jorah Mormont, Theon Greyjoy, Lyanna Mormont, Melisandre, and the Night King, but this is a show that’s never been shy about offing major players, and with just three episodes remaining, fans understandably expected the Battle of Winterfell to reduce them to sobbing shells of their former selves. That might sound like an unpleasant experience, but it’s part of what’s kept us coming back to Westeros for the past eight years, and for many viewers, “The Long Night” lacked the emotional gut punch they had been simultaneously dreading and hoping for. But the most serious concerns might have to do with the direction of the series from here. As thrilling as it was to see Arya reduce the Night King and his army to a pile of shards, it was an ending that raised more questions than it answered. Presumably, the remaining episodes will focus on the battle for the Iron Throne, but as a villain, is Cersei any match for an undead king with an army of zombies? Is there any way to rescue the remaining episodes from feeling an anti-climactic afterthought? Game of Thrones has always been a series that trafficked in surprises, but the biggest surprise of all might be showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss pulling off a conclusion that will leave the majority of the show’s viewership feeling satisfied. Of course, with the emotional sadism these two have demonstrated over the years, that may not be the ultimate goal. View Slideshow: Game of Thrones Photos: Bring It On, White Walkers!
