Cami Mendes Burlesque Weirdness of the Day

Cami Mendes is on Riverdale… Riverdale is arguably the worst most popular show on TV, in the history of TV…I mean it fucking sucks. I don’t have any real quantifiable scientific evidence of that statement, it is mainly based on opinion, plus science can’t be trusted and can be easily manipulated, I mean science just told us that Bella Hadid’s face is the most perfect face in terms of beauty, and we all know that’s not true, we all know she’s only valid cuz of being skinny and having tits….then there’s that whole Global Warming thing they use 13 year old retard children to try to hype up…sometimes your gut, your big, unhealthy cause of your Diabetes GUT is the only thing you trust….and my gut is telling me that Riverdale was alright the first season, then the writers had a stroke, and now shit’s just bad….luckily HBO brought out a real relevant teen show called Euphoria which is really what Riverdale should want to be…but instead the smut on the show is this garbage….a neckless 40 year old Mexican who stars as Veronica doing some 1920s showgirl act…because that’s how in touch these assholes are. Recap: BOSSIP Writers Detail How To Smash The Internet To Smithereens With #NABJ19 Headline Writing Working Shop

Source: BOSSIP / NABJ19 Recap: Bossip Staff Takes On #NABJ19 We’re happy to report that BOSSIP was especially present for NABJ this past week , hosting our own workshop on comprising the viral headline! The convention for The National Association of Black Journalists or NABJ kicks off every year for journalists, students, and media-related professionals. There, folks learn firsthand key strategies in media, socialize professionally, and seek career opportunities. This year it took place in sunny & humid Miami, Florida. Source: @AieshaArab / IG The workshop was hosted by BOSSIP’s deputy editor Danielle Canada who emceed a panel of our viral headline experts on staff, including senior editor Jennifer H. Cunningham, Aiesha Letman (myself), Jason Lee and, Alex Ford. Bruce Wright, managing editor of our fellow Interactive One site News One was also there to assist. In the workshop, our writers were asked the FAQs behind the manufacturing of a standout headline, regardless of the voice of the publication. Attendees learned about the importance of headline writing as it pertains to ideation and creating viral moments. And…when is a headline too far? Jason Lee was there to assist with the latter. Of course, this question was directed at our site, specifically.  So, how do we not “cross the line”? What is offensive or ‘racist’ to white folks? Jason says, ‘As far as (mayo), aioli and those sort of things…if white people are offended by certain things, then that’s fine but the dynamic is different. We are a Black site, we are Black people, normally we’re the oppressed people. So, if the worst you have to deal is being called a ‘mayo-packet’ behind somebody who did something racist, something stupid, then in my mind, you kinda have to chalk that.’ New One’s Bruce Wright had an important point to add, saying: ‘I don’t think we should only single out Black media for doing what the original media created and is still doing on now.’ Alex Ford probably in one short sentence gave the crux of what you need to create a viral moment. ‘We’re not just writing these headlines for you to just see them and laugh. If you read some of the posts, their actually well-written, comedically. Also, your use of language. Find that one word that represents what you’re trying to say. Word choice is important. ‘ BOSSIP is proud to be a completely unique voice at the intersection of Black culture, entertainment, and political-awareness. We would like to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to check us out at NABJ19. We hope to meet you again!

‘The Chi’ Showrunner Says ‘Everyone’ Knew About Jason Mitchell’s Alleged Harassment, Reported Him To HR Herself

Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News “The Chi” Showrunner Speaks On Jason Mitchell More details are surfacing about those Jason Mitchell misconduct claims. After people expressed doubt about Tiffany Boone’s claims that he costar sexually harassed her on set, the show’s second-season showrunner is making some damning accusations. Ayanna Floyd told The Hollywood Reporter that she personally filed a complaint about Mitchell and was a “target of his rage and inappropriateness.” She’s also directly contrasting claims that Lena Waithe, “The Chi’s” creator/EP, was unaware of Jason’s actions until the second season of the show. According to Floyd, “EVERYONE was well aware of Jason’s behavior,” Lena included, and Floyd was made aware of it at the beginning of season two.   “When I took the helm in season two, it was Lena who informed me of the issues between Jason Mitchell and Tiffany Boone from season one, and that Tiffany was thinking of leaving the show because of it,” says Floyd to THR. “As a result of this information, I discussed Tiffany’s claims with the studio’s HR department and set up HR presentations for the writers, cast and crew. Ultimately, everyone was well aware of Jason’s behavior and his multiple HR cases, including Lena, the creator and an executive producer of the show, who is very involved at the studio and network level.” Adds Floyd, “As showrunner, I did everything I could to deal with his behavior, by speaking with the studio’s HR department multiple times and instructing one actress to call HR herself, before I became a target of his rage and inappropriateness, and had to report him to HR, as well.” Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News The Hollywood Reporter’s story is very detailed, and in it, they note that Lena previously spoke out in alignment with the “Me Too” movement. Lena said if one of her show’s stars acted inappropriately, they’d be promptly “killed off the series.”   “So why didn’t Mitchell’s character go down in a volley of onscreen bullets?” wonders The Hollywood Reporter.  “I’ve been very involved in Time’s Up and that movement, and for season two, we’re making sure that women feel safe,” Waithe told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2018. “[I]f you want to play that game and be disrespectful or misbehave on set with an actress or anyone, I’ll happily call Showtime and say, ‘This person has to go,’ and you will get shot up and it’ll be a wonderful finale.” Lena sent in a statement about the ongoing drama surrounding her show and she praised Tiffany Boone for coming forward. She declined to say much else. “I think Tiffany is a wonderful actress and an extremely brave woman. I wish her nothing but success in the future. I look forward to getting back to work on season three.” Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News There’s lots more to unpack here like Mitchell reportedly being given a “second chance”—until his actions got him booted from Netflix’s “Desperados.” Sources told THR almost immediately after Mitchell came onset for the film actresses complained about his behavior. “There were two incidents in four days,” says an insider to THR. After “Desperados”, “The Chi” pulled the plug on Jason Mitchell too. Here’s How Arya Starks Actress Maisie Williams Wishes “Game Of Thrones” Would Have Ended Differently

View this post on Instagram Only ONE episode left of the LAST ( ) season of #gameofthrones – the absolute legend @maisie_williams as #aryastark #GoT #nikon #smpsp #hbo #stillsphotographer #season8 #forthethrone #maisiewilliams A post shared by Helen Sloan (@helenstills) on May 14, 2019 at 3:03pm PDT “Game Of Thrones” Actresses Admit The Ending Was Disappointing “Game of Thrones’” finale left much to be desired for many longtime fans of the show, but it turns out that the show’s actors would have written different endings for themselves as well. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Maisie Williams said her biggest regret for her character was not getting a season 8 scene with Cersei actress Lena Headey. “I just wanted to be on set with Lena again, she’s good fun,” Williams explained. “And I wanted Arya to kill Cersei even if it means [Arya] dies too. Even up to the point when Cersei’s with Jaime I thought [while reading the script], ‘He’s going to whip off his face [and reveal its Arya]’ and they’re both going to die. I thought that’s what Arya’s drive has been.” We’re pretty sure the WHOLE world of watchers were disappointed that Arya didn’t employ any of her Many-Faced-God skills during Season 8 — and it would have been especially gratifying against Cersei as Jaime, right? View this post on Instagram As I watch all the “thank yous” and all the final “goodbyes” on screen – a flood of emotions accompanies each one. You want to live your life like me?’” Williams said. “In my head, the answer was: ‘Yeah.’ But I guess sleeping with Gendry, seeing Jon again, realizing she’s not just fighting for herself anymore but also her family — it’s bringing up all these human emotions that Arya hasn’t felt for a long time. When The Hound asks her if she has another option, all of a sudden there are so many more things in [Arya’s] life that she can live for, that she can do. It was a shock for me because that wasn’t how I envisioned her arc going this year. Then I realized there were other things I could play, bringing Arya back to being a 16-year-old again.” “It’s not a Game of Thrones ending for Arya, it’s a happy ending,” she concludes. “It gave me a place to take Arya that I never thought I’d go with her again.” View this post on Instagram Beautiful @nathalieemmanuel You represented hope and true strength. I didn’t like that day up there A post shared by Lena Headey (@iamlenaheadey) on May 13, 2019 at 11:23pm PDT Williams isn’t the only one who was looking for an Arya/Cersei faceoff. According to EW, Headey said she hoped she’d have a scene with Williams in the final season as well. “I lived that fantasy until I read the script,” Headey said. “There were chunky scenes and it was nothing that I had dreamt about. It was a bit of come down and you have to accept that it wasn’t to be. There is something poetic about the way it all happens in the end with her and Jaime.” She’s right — there’s nothing anyone can do but to accept the weak a** ending that the writers gave us. What do your “GOT” alternate endings look like?

Social Media Reacts To ‘Game Of Thrones’ Finale’s Water Bottle Appearances

See original here:

Source: HBO/ Helen Sloan / HBO/ Helen Sloan ***The following post will contain SPOILERS*** H BO’s  Game Of Thrones  finally wrapped up its series on Sunday, with The Starks securing their victory and ruling throughout all of Westeros and The North. The final season of the hit series has been met with mixed criticism and extreme petitioning due to the writing of their favorite characters. Along with that came some visual blunders that couldn’t be missed. Take the finale last night, where two bottles of King’s Landing Spring Water found underneath the chairs of the Seven Kingdoms officials. Attentive fans that discovered the infamous coffee cup in the fourth episode of the show saw a water bottle at Samwell Tarly’s feet, which can be found at the 46-minute mark. Another bottle is later shown below between Davos and Gendry Baratheon in the same scene. a water bottle in King’s Landing!! #got #gameofthrones pic.twitter.com/mwGQlsLwnh — Beth (@bethisloco) May 20, 2019 You’ve heard of coffee cup now get ready for plastic water bottle? #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/iZLZ7kx3Xa — harman. It is yet to be determined if HBO will respond to the botch the way they did for the coffee cup. Frustrated fans of the season are looking to use this moment to bury the writers (showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff ) for their “lack of attention to detail” and wanting to get the show over with. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 Review: What’s Love Got to Do with It?

Many years ago on The Office, a question was posed to Michael Scott: Would you rather be loved or feared? “Easy. Both,” he replied. “I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.” On  Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 , however, it was finally made frustratingly and painfully clear: Daenerys Targaryen is no Michael Scott. In the most telling scene of the penultimate installment, Dany is pissed that Jon Snow spilled his all his heritage tea to his siblings, telling her nephew and lover after burning Varys alive for his betrayal: “This is a victory for [Sansa]. Now she knows what happens when people hear the truth about you. Far more people in Westeros love you than love me. I don’t have love here. I only have fear.” Jon says he loves her. He assures Dany that she is, and always will be, his Queen. “Is that all I am to you? Your queen?” Dany responds, leaning in for an incestuous makeout session that gets rebuffed. “Alright then,” she says. “Let it be fear.” This is when it’s made clear just what will happen to King’s Landing … and also where Game of Thrones decides to destroy Dany’s character once and for all. First of Her Name? The Unburnt? Queen of Meereen? Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men? Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea? Breaker of Chains? Mother of Dragons? Dany can now add Stereotypical and Sexist Portrayer of What the Writers Apparently Think Happens When a Woman Isn’t Love by a Man Exactly How She Wants To Be. Is that all she is to Jon? His Queen? That’s all Dany has wanted to be to anyone since Season 1. The Dany that has been presented to viewers for seven-plus seasons was never about love. She was never driven by this concept or emotion. She was ruthless, she was calculating and she was focused on her self-proclaimed destiny of sitting on the Iron Throne — but she was also about fighting for the innocent. What happened to the woman who freed slaves? Who talked about breaking the wheel? She was replaced on this final season by someone who claimed to Sansa weeks ago that she only chose to fight the White Walkers because she was just so smitten with Jon Snow — and who chose to go completely, totally and utterly off the rails on this episode because she was just so unloved. The abrupt character change has been more brutal to watch than any beheading. As you must know by now if you’re reading this, Team Winterfell successfully defeated the Golden Army and Cersei’s soldiers, largely thanks to Dany finally remembering that her dragon can shoot fire at enemies. The other side had given up. The bell signaling as much had been rung. But Dany needed to make her future peons fear her. She needed to kill thousands of innocents now so that thousands more could grow up without a tyrants rule down the line, according to her own warped logic from earlier in the episode. So The Mad Queen finally embraced this nickname and went all Dracarys on the men, women and children of King’s Landing. It made no sense. It turned an admirably strong and powerful woman into someone so scorned by her boyfriend that she decided to go crazy. Viewers can argue all they want about whether this has been teased since the beginning; since all that talk about Dany’s father, “The Mad King,” and how Targaryen blood is basically tainted with violence and instability. But Dany knew this about her family, vowed to remain above it all and continually followed through, staying rational and in control while doing what she felt necessary to achieve her dream. Then George R.R. Martin failed to finish his last book, the creators were forced to come up with their own ending and have dropped the ball here with not just Daenerys, but with Jamie as well. Talk about an even more abrupt and ridiculous character change! We spent season upon season watching Jamie Lannister evolve. One of the show’s most impressive accomplishments was turning Jamie from a renowned King Slayer and Attempted Child Killer into someone who knighted Brienne, realized the many errors of his evil sister-banging ways and was not dedicated to fighting for what is good and right. Until, that is, Sansa stated the obvious last week about how Cersei would be killed and then Jamie simply chose to be “hateful” again, breaking the heart of Brienne (another character ruined this season) and returning home to try and save Cersi. The siblings ended up dying together when the Red Keep crashed down upon them toward the end of Dany’s attack — but our hope for Jamie’s previously-well-earned redemption died long before that. What a mess. Did Martin explain his planned ending to producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and they were forced to reverse-engineer their own finale as a result? It seems very possible. There’s no way these two writers thought they’d have to come up with their own ending when they started working on the project. We can therefore understand the corner the show was perhaps backed into, but that doesn’t make the actul viewing of an episode such as this any more entertaining or any less frustrating. Dany has been a compassionate and harsh aspiring ruler; those two adjectives do not need to be in conflict with each other. Jamie has been a flawed, but developing and remorseful soldier; he had come the farthest of anyone on the show. And then, over the course of 80 minutes, the writers set fire to all that had been accomplished between these two fan favorites, setting up a finale that feels predictable ( Jon is clearly going to kill Dany , right?), anticlimactic and, worst, of all, unearned. Jenelle Evans: See Her Latest, Potentially ILLEGAL Parenting Fail!

Look, Jenelle Evans isn't some world-class thinker, OK? And that's perfectly fine. Most of us aren't. But still, after all she's been through, you'd think she'd learn something. Anything . Unfortunately, it seems like that's never happened, and so we have situations like this one where Jenelle exposes her own questionable parenting and opens the door for tons of well-earned criticism. So what did she do this time? 1. Where to Begin? Jenelle, she … well, she’s made a lot of bad choices. 2. Our Girl It’s interesting though, because she makes such a wide variety of them. 3. Memories Remember when she was with Kieffer, and she stole her mom’s credit card and did heroin on national television? 4. Hey, Bud! Or when she thought it was a good idea to get pregnant so soon with Nathan Griffith that when her test was positive, she wasn’t sure if she was really pregnant or if it was just “leftovers” from the abortion she’d recently had after divorcing Courtland Rogers? 5. Ugh Or when she chose to marry David Eason, and every single second she’s spent with him since? 6. Fact Those are all good examples of some life-alteringly terrible choices she’s made. Arrow to Take Final Bow, Conclude After Season 8

All good things must come to an end. And the same can be said for all good television shows. Allow us to present more evidence… … Arrow will conclude its beloved run on The CW after a shortened eighth season this autumn. The sad news was broken on Twitter by the show’s leading man, Stephen Amell, who wrote the following: Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever. Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall. There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you. Here’s the positive thing, though: Amell went on to hint at some sort of future for himself as Oliver Queen, along with the franchise in general. During a Facebook Live, Amell added on Wednesday night: “Something tells me even when I’m done, I won’t be gone. If you watch the Arrowverse, you should understand that… I think it’s been a good run. It’s no Supernatural, but it’s been a good run.” Arrow returned on March 4 from a three-week hiatus — and fell to a series low in the 18-49-year-old demographic, (0.2) while delivering its smallest audience of the season. Still, though, this move has likely been a long time coming. Nearly every series loses viewers, along with entertainment value/creativity, by this point in its run. “This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind,” executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz said in a statement. They added: “We’re heartened by the fact that Arrow has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. “We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honors the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and – more importantly – the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.” The DC Comics-inspired series — which also stars David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Katie Cassidy, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, Colton Haynes, Kirk Acevedo and Sea Shimooka — debuted in October of 2012. It launched numerous  spinoff series within The CW’s “Arrow ‘verse,” including The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and the upcoming Batwoman standalone series starring Ruby Rose. Ramsey, who has portrayed Oliver’s best friend, John Diggle, since the series premiere, reflected on the show’s journey and expressed his desire to go out on a high note shortly after Amell made this announcement. “What an awesome ride! @arrow fans have been the best any actor could’ve asked for!” Ramsey Tweeted, adding: “Thank you for helping me bring John Diggle/Spartan to life!!! Love all of you! Can’t wait for you to see what we have in stock for you. Let’s end on a high, shall we?” Elsewhere, Colton Haynes, who returned as a series regular this season, tweeted: “Sad to say that #Arrow will be coming to an end after a 10 episode Season 8. Thank you to all the fans who’ve watched. It’s been such a blessing to be a part of this incredible show. “What a beautiful journey.” The final season’s abbreviated run means Arrow will wrap up shortly after this fall’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” the next crossover with The Flash and Supergirl (and possibly Legends of Tomorrow).  At the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in January, per TMZ, The CW President Mark Pedowitz said the special event will take “some big swings.” We can’t wait to see what’s on tap. Now… you tell us: Will you miss Arrow? Or is this just about the riight time for it to go away? View Slideshow: 19 Best Shows in CW History: Ranked! Other notable show ending in the near future include Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. Which will you miss most?

Liam Neeson Insists He Isn’t Racist After Saying He Wanted to Kill Random Black Man

For many years now, Liam Neeson has been focused on payback in, like, every movie in which he’s starred. On Tuesday morning, however, the actor was forced to walk back some very unusual and controversial comments he recently made about race relations. Specifically, how Neeson once roamed the street hoping to murder some random black person . Speaking to The Independent earlier in the week, Neeson thought back to a long time ago when a close friend of his got raped. Unprompted, and to the shock of everyone who read this story, the veteran star explained how he was so intent on revenge for the incident that he set out to commit violence against an African-American. Why? Because his friend said it was an African-American who committed the awful act against her. “God forbid you’ve ever had a member of your family hurt under criminal conditions,” Neeson told the aforementioned publication, delving into the details: “She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way. But my immediate reaction was … I asked, did she know who it was? No. What color were they? “She said it was a black person.” From there? “I went up and down areas with a cosh [bludgeon], hoping I’d be approached by somebody – I’m ashamed to say that … hoping some ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? “So that I could … kill him,” Neeson added. Yikes, right? Neeson freely admitted that he was out looking to kill ANY “black bastard,” condemning an entire race, simply because one black person raped his friend. Speaking to Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, the actor acknowledged how awful this sounds. But he insisted that incident stemmed from immaturity and anger, not any ingrained racism.  “I’m not a racist,” Neeson told Roberts. He explained that the assault in question happened “nearly 40 years ago” and alleged that he “definitely” would have searched for a white man in the same way if his friend said her attacker had fit that description. “If she’d have said an Irish, or a Scott, or a Brit, or a Lithuanian I know [it] would’ve had the same effect,” he said. Neeson went on to say he learned from his response, saying to Roberts: “I was trying to show honor, to stand up for my dear friend in this terrible medieval fashion.” “I am a fairly intelligent guy. That’s why it kind of shocked me when I came down to earth after having these terrible feelings.” “Luckily no violence occurred.” “I did want to lash out because my friend was brutally raped and I was defending her honor. It was a learning curve.” He added that he sought help from a priest shortly after responding in this wildly inappropriate fashion. Looking back, the actor said how wrong he was and that he’s thankful no one got hurt. “It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that. And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid,” he said before concluding: “It’s awful. But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the f-ck are you doing?'”
