For obvious reasons, it’s pretty uncommon for A-list celebrities to be thrown in prison. The justice system tends to look pretty favorably on the wealthy and well-connected, and if worse comes to worst, you can always just hire a fall guy. Still, when there’s even a remote possibility that a major star will get tossed in the clink we like to imagine how they would cope with life on the cell block. And in the case of Johnny Depp, we think the obvious answer is not very well at all! Sure, Depp’s played some major badasses over the course of his career, and he gets bonus points for being covered in tattoos. And now, Heard’s lawyers are alleging that Depp committed perjury when in his initial filing. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million in connection with a piece she wrote for the Washington Post in which she described herself as an abuse victim. According to Johnny, Amber’s article violated their non-disclosure agreement — and now he wants her to pay. Unfortunately, the legal action backfired in spectacular fashion, as court proceedings have resulted in one embarrassing revelation after another for the actor. Sure, the allegations have gone both ways. but the ones Heard has lobbed at Depp — including a story in which he became so jealous of James Franco that he flew into a violent rage — have been the most humiliating. And Amber’s latest accusation could have serious legal consequences. According to newly-filed documents obtained by The Blast , Depp “clearly perjured himself claiming that there was only one 911 call reporting his abuse on the evening of May 21, 2016.” Heard’s attorneys say Depp made the claim knowing full well that Amber’s friend iO Tillet Wright made multiple 911 calls the night of the alleged attack. “Readily obtainable public records of LAPD call logs from that evening show that iO Tillet Wright called 911 at 8:30 PM to report Mr. Depp’s violent and destructive behavior that evening, confirming the eyewitness accounts of how iO heard that Mr. Depp was becoming violent toward Ms. Heard over the phone and then called 911,” their filing reads. Now, people go to jail for perjury all the time. But very few of those people have anchored multi-billion dollar Disney franchises. Reports say that Mel B was hospitalized with blindness and successfully received treatment for an alleged herpes infection that damaged her eye. The Spice Girl seems to constantly be battling malicious rumors . This time, the only thing that she’s denying from reports are the claims that this wasn’t a scary experience. Take a look: It was first reported by the British press that Spice Girls alum Mel B was hospitalized due to losing her vision in one eye. Thankfully, it was apparently treatable enough that she could go rehearse. What’s getting people’s attention is the alleged cause of her eye emergency. Now, a source is speaking to People about Mel’s experience. “She’s doing fine now,” an insider promises. The source assures the world that “she’s not blind.” “This has happened before,” the insider claims. Notably, her left eye received permanent damage in the ’90s after laser surgery. Apparently her right eye’s troubles are more salacious. “She has herpes in her eye,” the source alleges. “So,” the insider explains. “This can happen.” “She told the doctor she was blind because she couldn’t see,” the source says. “But her eye is OK.” That is certainly a relief to hear. “They gave her some drops and she’s good now,” the insider says. “It was nothing major.” So … that’s good to hear, especially when coupled with this new photo that Mel B shared to show fans that she’s really okay. Mel continues: “I was diagnosed by and eye specialist with severe IRITIS in my right eye and UVEITIS in my left eye.” Both iritis and uveitis include swelling of the eye. Uveitis is believed to be cause by autoimmune disorders among other factors. Iritis can have a number of causes, including a physical injury, and also potentially including herpes. But it could also be, like, psoriasis. “I’m taking multiple prescription heavy duty eye drops and other medication the dr gave me,” Mel shares. For years, we were told on Game of Thrones that Jon Snow knows nothing. But the actor behind this legendary character has now turned the tables and basically said the same exact things to critics of the HBO drama. In the wake of the polarizing Game of Thrones finale , Kit Harington has come out and sent a very pointed message to anyone who thought less of this episode… … and/or the final season in general. “How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant,” the star told Esquire in a just-released interview, explaining in more detail: ” I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season – and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here – but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgement on it, in my head they can go f-ck themselves.” Why does Harrington feel this way? “‘Cause I know how much work was put into this,” he replied. That’s because Depp is suing Heard for $50 million , alleging that the actress violated a non-disclosure agreement by writing about her experiences as an abuse survivor in a Washington Post op-ed. The bitter civil trial has seen Depp and Heard hurling increasingly shocking allegations at one another. In court documents, Heard described Depp as an alcoholic “monster,” prone to frightening fits of jealousy and violent rage. She later accused the actor of trying to get her fired from the movie Aquaman and blacklisted from Hollywood. Depp fired back, claiming that Heard tried to cut his finger off during a fight and went to great lengths to frame him for physical abuse. Believe it or not, Depp is now claiming that the press was bamboozled by a skillful makeup job. He portrays heard as a master of deception whose “lies are internally inconsistent, shifting, and contradicted by overwhelming testimonial, photographic, audio, video, and other evidence.” From there, Depp does the thing where he claims he’s not just working to rescue his public image — he’s also standing up for the real victims! He writes that he filed the suit “not only to clear my name and to restore my reputation, but also to attempt to bring clarity to all the women and men whose lives have been harmed by abuse and who’ve been lied to repeatedly by Ms. Heard as their spokesperson.” Heard’s alleged motive for concocting such an elaborate lie is never revealed in Depp’s filing. In a statement, Depp’s lawyers argue that he “never abused Ms. Heard, adding: “Her allegations against him were false when they were made in 2016.
