One of those huge names would be Joel Osteen . Who’s Mega church in Houston has really seen no end to growth in the Houston area. Now it seems Joel has caught wind of what Kanye West is doing with his “ Sunday Service ” and as any smart business man he wants parts. Rumors circulated last month he had invited Kanye to his church but it seems both have agreed on scratching each other back to make that happen. TMZ reports , that Osteen and Non-Voting-Trump-Supporter Kanye West have been talking on the regular. “We’re told the plan is for Kanye to show up at Joel’s 11 AM service in Houston this coming Sunday at the Lakewood Church. Kanye will walk up to the pulpit and have a conversation with Joel that will last between 20 and 30 minutes. Our sources say Joel wants his congregation — which stands 45,000 strong — and his TV audience — which stands at 10 million in the U.S. alone — to hear how Kanye has overcome significant adversity in his life.” If you’re unfamiliar with the Lakewood church they have a morning and a night service in Houston, Texas. The morning conversation is sure to dominate headlines into at least December. While the ones who want to experience Kanye’s “Sunday Service” will have to return in the afternoon. The pairing seems odd given Joel Osteen last flare up in headlines were due to him refusing to shelter hurricane victims. Now it seems he’s welcoming (some would say pandering) the same community he refused in his doors. What could go wrong? The man who invited him, Tyler, The Creator , took to Twitter to criticize those who disrespected the 6 God, while also taking some of the blame himself. The crowd had been anticipating an appearance from Frank Ocean, but instead got Drizzy, and as you know, that didn’t go over too well. Writing in all caps, because of course, Tyler broke down what happened and admitted Drake and the crowd wasn’t exactly the best of fits. “I thought bringing one of the biggest artist [sic] on the f*cking planet to a music festival was fire!,” Tyler tweeted. “But flipside, a lil tone deaf knowing the specific crowd it drew. Some created a narrative in their head and acted out like assholes when it didnt [sic] come true and I don’t f*ck with that.” Nevertheless, Tyler went on to express appreciation for Drake holding it down despite the hostile environment. He added, “This n*gga did Feel No Ways! Song is beautiful.” and a “Thank you Aubrey!” later on. He really likes “Feel No Ways.” However, he didn’t let the “fans” off the hook. “Also, mostly everyone was having a great time, those sh*ts in the front area were the ones being mad rude, which, I can see why, but, nah, f*ck that, yall represented me and Flog to my guest and made us look sooo entitled and trash. Having done similar contests in the past , the Texas artist will join forces with E-40 and FUBU’s Daymond John to launch a competition that will grant seed money to the next great minority or woman-owned startup. Chamillionaire was on CNBC Monday to discuss the new competition, mentioning in the chat that the trio will be working with equity investment firm Republic as he’s done in times past with E-40. This time, the stakes are higher and the startup has the potential to win $100,000 for their idea or company. While talking with CNBC, Chamillionaire made note that he finds it baffling that venture capitalists claim they can’t find African-American projects to fund, this after he attended the AfroTech conference in Oakland, Ca. this past weekend and came across thousands of tech workers and entrepreneurs of color. School Vows ‘Appropriate Action’ For Video Showing Teen Brutally Beaten By Other Students

A heartbreaking video is circulating of 14-year-old child being attacked in a bathroom by several students. The incident took place at Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy West in Baltimore, Maryland and now there is reportedly a investigation underway. SEE ALSO: Complaint Filed Against Judge Tammy Kemp For ‘Unconstitutional’ Behavior After Amber Guyger Sentencing After the video went viral, Baltimore City Schools released the following statement, according to CBS , “Yesterday, a student was assaulted by several other students at Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy West. Students involved in the incident are being identified. Appropriate action will be taken in accordance with City Schools’ Code of Conduct and the law. “ The statement continued, “We are committed to the safety and security of our students and staff and work hard every day to create positive and supportive environments for teaching and learning. To the extent possible, students in the video have been identified. Appropriate action will be taken in accordance with City Schools’ Code of Conduct and the law.” See the video below, but please be warned that it is graphic. Another disturbing video has surfaced showing a 14-year-old Baltimore high school student being viciously beaten in the boys' bathroom by a gang of thugs.  It was confirmed that the attack took place at Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy. 443-642-2110 pic.twitter.com/BMFzx1qntV — Big Boss (@escapedmatrix) October 11, 2019 According to the National Center for Educational Statistics from 2016, Black children have the highest rate of being bullied, “25% of African-American students, 22% of Caucasian students, 17% of Hispanic students, and 9% of Asian students report being bullied at school.” Sadly, bullying often results in suicide, “Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University,” the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention  reported . On top of that, the CDC  found that  more than “14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it.” A most recent example is  Phillip Spruill Jr. , an 11-year-old 5th grader from Philadelphia,  killed himself in April after incessant bullying at school because of his weight. In addition, Kevin Reese Jr. , a 10-year-old from Houston, hanged himself to death in January because he was bullied at school through taunting and physical abuse, the New York Daily News  reported  at the time. An overwhelming amount of kids who are bullied don’t report it, according to many educators. Most bullied children are at a higher risk of anxiety, depression and other negative outcomes. Source: Steven Ferdman / Getty Travis Scott Suffers A Serious Injury During His Latest Performance Travis Scott brought the ASTROWORLD  experience to Citi Field on Saturday, performing as one of the headliners for Rolling Loud’s first time in New York. The festival was already undergoing some issues–with certain performers on the lineup catching the attention of the NYPD –but Travis found himself hurting by the end of his set. The Houston native was performing his track, “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” when he jumped up and landed wrong on his right knee. Travis Scott just broke his Knee at Rolling Loud and he’s still performing after this. @RollingLoud pic.twitter.com/LwsZ1152eq — $hari (@kingin77) October 13, 2019 Later on in his set, Scott went on to say, “I ain’t gonna lie, I think I just broke my knee right now. But this show cannot stop just yet,” before continuing his performance as planned. At some point in the show, Travis put on a make-shift knee brace and went on with the rest of his performance–if you know Scott, you know how seriously he takes these concerts and giving his fans an experience to remember Of course, the comparisons to Michael Jordan’s famous flu game were all over the place. Luckily, though, he’s got some time to recover. Right now, Scott’s next performance isn’t until November 3 in Las Vegas for Day N Vegas festival, so hopefully he’s all healed by then. If not, he’ll probably find a way to make it on stage anyway.
