Tiffani Shadell Lankford, 32, is charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault after she punched and stomped on the head of a student during class. Cellphone footage shows the violent altercation between the teacher and the pupil that took place at Kyle, Texas’ Lehman High School.  ABC 13 reports that a student in the class said Lankford became agitated at the Spanish class and eventually closed in on the victim. There are other angles of the viral video showing the student hitting the teacher first. The local school district said Lankford passed a background check when they hired her in August, added that “there is absolutely no excuse or circumstance that can justify what you see unfold on the video.” The student’s family has obtained legal counsel so presumably, a lawsuit is forthcoming. “We are shocked and disgusted after seeing the abuse and excessive force used in this teacher’s attempt to discipline a special needs child,” said attorney Paul Batrice on behalf of the student’s family. “There is no excuse for this type of behavior. Given this teacher’s alleged criminal history of domestic violence and the video footage that has shaken our community, we have started an investigation into this teacher and Hays CISD in the hopes of ensuring justice for this family and so that no Texas student ever endures such extreme behavior again.” What. A. Mess.

SMH: 1 Employee Killed In Shooting Over Counterfeit $100 Bill At Church’s Chicken In San Diego

Source: Karl Tapales / Getty Shooting At Church’s Chicken Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a Church’s Chicken in San Diego, California . The whole incident reportedly happened after the suspected gunman attempted to pay for food using a counterfeit bill. According to reports from NBC San Diego , the shooting occurred at a Church’s located on Picador and Del Sol boulevards in the Otay Mesa community on Wednesday night. Before the shooting, the suspect, who was described by the San Diego Police Department as a “thin man in his 30s,” got into an argument with the employees over his alleged attempted use of a fake $100 bill. There have been conflicting reports around this case, however, about whether or not a counterfeit bill was actually the issue. Other reports have stated that the customer’s grievance was centered around a store policy which prevented the acceptance of any $100 bills outright. Currently investigating shooting at 3700 Picador Blvd. Suspect was a customer who got into argument with employees. Suspect retrieved handgun and fired. 1 employee killed, 2 others injured. Suspect is black male, 30’s, 6-1, thin build, Chargers beanie driving light blue sedan. pic.twitter.com/bMYTAIkQAz — San Diego Police Department (@SanDiegoPD) November 7, 2019 The man is said to have left the restaurant at one point in the argument, just to return “minutes later” and open fire “from across the counter.” Three employees were struck, then the suspect ended up fleeing the scene. One employee ended up dying from injuries sustained during the shooting. Accordint to the  San Diego Union-Tribune , she has been identified as 28-year-old Maribel Ibañez. As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with the fatal shooting.

On Tuesday, a freshman high school student in California was tackled to the ground by classmates after authorities said he brought an unloaded handgun to school. Police say the 14-year-old boy took out a small gun during metal shop class at La Habra High School in Orange County. The school went on lockdown after the unidentified student yielded a .22 caliber gun in front of his classmates. Sgt Jose Rocha told ABC News : “Two freshmen in the class ran up to him, wrestled him and got the weapon out of his hands.” Fortunately, all of the students and faculty are safe following the incident. No word on whether or not the student intended to sell the gun, or use it, however it was not loaded. The suspect has since been placed into a juvenile detention center. Protect our kids, man. SMH

According to The Hollywood Reporter , Huffman took her talents to Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California to sit her scammin’ a$$ down for two weeks as punishment for her janky college admissions scandal. For those who have forgotten, Felicity Huffman attempted to use charity to cover up a $15,000 bribe for someone else to take the SAT for her daughter. In May she plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. After the judge banged the gavel on Huffman back in September she had this to say: “I accept the court’s decision today without reservation. I have always been prepared to accept whatever punishment Judge Talwani imposed. I broke the law. I have admitted that and I pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.” Wonder how the ladies in whoscow are going to treat ol’ girl?

Trust me, we are too. Rapper Kamaiyah has been laying low since being on the cover of the XXL Freshmen List back in 2017, but now, she’s in some pretty hot water in California. The rapper has been arrested and charged with felony negligent discharge of a firearm. According to reports from TMZ , the San Fernando Valley police say that no one was a target in the shooting and the firearm being discharged was a total accident–but unfortunately for Kamaiyah, that doesn’t make it legal by any means. Police say that the Oakland native was hanging out at an apartment building in the San Fernando Valley, where she and some friends made their way into the facility’s movie screening room. So not an actual movie theater, but pretty close. Anyway, on surveillance footage reviewed by management (and later reviewed by law enforcement), a woman authorities believe to be Kamaiyah was seen pulling a handgun from inside her bag before letting a round go in the room. She ended up darting away shortly afterward. According to law enforcement, it appears that the discharge of the weapon was purely accidental and the gun went off as Kamaiyah was playing with it. After being booked, the rapper was released on $35,000 bond and went on her way. Her only hope now is that she has a great lawyer who can make this whole headache go away. Frank Milstead said at a news conference, “The Arizona Department of Public Safety is a proud and venerable organization with a storied past. Most of the employees serve Arizona with pride and integrity. When one of our own betrays public trust or breaks the law, we respond swiftly and without regret.” Milstead added that officers began an investigation on May 19 after a woman complained that Jackson made inappropriate comments to her, then a second complaint from a different motorist came June 11, alleging that Jackson sexually assaulted a woman during a traffic stop. Jackson was placed on administrative leave that day, but has since been terminated. No word on whether or not Jackson has attained a lawyer, but officials say he’s been booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail on charges including sexual abuse, sexual extortion, unlawful sexual conduct, unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping, fraudulent schemes and practices and tampering with a public record. Investigators have only identified eight of his victims, but they believe there are many more. SMH.

Fetty Wap Gambles It All In Vegas, Arrested For Fight With Valet

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Fetty Wap Loses Big In Las Vegas At The Valet The old saying goes, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”…but it seems like the exact opposite is true when it comes to celebrities. That’s exactly the situation Fetty Wap is in the middle of right now. According to reports from TMZ , the rapper-turned-entrepreneur had an unlucky run in with the law while out in Vegas.  The New Jersey native was arrested on Sunday at the Mirage after he and one of the valets got into an argument. Things ended up getting physical and Fetty allegedly punched the valet at least three times. To make the situation even more embarrassing for the public figure, Fetty was held by a fellow citizen under ‘citizens arrest’ until police arrived. Once in custody, his official cause for arrest cites “three counts of misdemeanor battery”–one for each of the punches he supposedly landed. This is the second violence-related brush with the law in less than 90 days for Fetty Wap. Back in June, the rapper was accused of assaulting a woman he met at a video shoot in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they are investigating this event, but no charges are being issued at this time. As for this latest Las Vegas event, Fetty Wap was only in custody for a few hours before he was released, though he’s bound to have a date with the judge sooner than later.
