Ended With A Bang: Kamaiyah Arrested For Discharging A Fire Arm During Movie Screening

Source: (Photo by Bennett Raglin/Getty Images for BET) / Photo by Bennett Raglin/Getty Images for BET Kamaiyah Arrested For Discharging Fire Arm While Screening A Movie If you’re reading the title thinking WTH? Trust me, we are too. Rapper Kamaiyah has been laying low since being on the cover of the XXL Freshmen List back in 2017, but now, she’s in some pretty hot water in California. The rapper has been arrested and charged with felony negligent discharge of a firearm. According to reports from TMZ , the San Fernando Valley police say that no one was a target in the shooting and the firearm being discharged was a total accident–but unfortunately for Kamaiyah, that doesn’t make it legal by any means. Police say that the Oakland native was hanging out at an apartment building in the San Fernando Valley, where she and some friends made their way into the facility’s movie screening room. So not an actual movie theater, but pretty close. Anyway, on surveillance footage reviewed by management (and later reviewed by law enforcement), a woman authorities believe to be Kamaiyah was seen pulling a handgun from inside her bag before letting a round go in the room. She ended up darting away shortly afterward. According to law enforcement, it appears that the discharge of the weapon was purely accidental and the gun went off as Kamaiyah was playing with it. After being booked, the rapper was released on $35,000 bond and went on her way. Her only hope now is that she has a great lawyer who can make this whole headache go away. Luckily, no one was struck by the gunfire and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. View this post on Instagram The healthiest thing I’ve learned how to do is be alone. Tax Troubles: Former ‘RHOA’ Star Peter Thomas’ Sports Bar Has Closed Due To $237K Tax Lien

Source: Photo By Raymond Boyd/Getty Images) / Photo By Raymond Boyd/Getty Images) Peter Thomas’ Sports Bar Closed Due to $237K Tax Lien Since the beginning of time, people have thought they could play with the IRS and Uncle Sam and get away with it. As of September 2019, Uncle Sam remains the undisputed champ of those who think it’s a game in these streets. The latest victim to the tax lien haymaker is none other than former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Peter Thomas . After being arrested earlier this year in Miami for a bounced check, the bad luck keeps on rolling in for Peter. His establishment, Sports One Bar & Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina closed recently due to some serious financial troubles.  According to reports from TMZ, the bar is more than $237,000 in debt, which ended up causing a federal tax lien. Thomas’ plan, you ask? To close the doors, pay the bill down, and then open his business right back up. This seems to show a pattern of bad money habits and the only person who’s gonna lose in this scenario will be Peter Thomas. The reason for all of this debt racking up was cited as certain investments in other projects–but you should probably pay the bills at the place generating your revenue before you invest elsewhere. As for his Miami arrest, his first his explanation was that his account was compromised and he didn’t know. Then, it was a thirsty booking agent who allegedly filed charges for no reason . What happens at one business is bound to happen at the other, but hopefully, he gets his money straight before investing in anything else. Best of luck to Thomas on his upcoming business ventures. U.E.O.N.O. Angry Neighbor Sues Rocko For $15K Over House Flip Gone Bad (Exclusive)

Source: summer jam stretchd rocko / summer jam stretchd rocko Rapper In Legal Hot Water For Abandoning Construction Of Home A Georgia woman has sued Rocko for causing thousands in damages on her home after bailing on a house flip job, BOSSIP can reveal. Minnie Lindsey sued Rocko – whose real name is Rodney Hill – for negligence last month, accusing the U.O.E.N.O. rapper of abandoning a construction job on the property next door to hers – but not before causing some $15,000 in damages to her place. According to court papers obtained by BOSSIP, Lindsey said that Rocko bought the property next to hers in 2017 and started construction on it. However work stopped about a month later, and Lindsey noticed that her brick retaining wall was removed without her permission. Lindsey’s wall had been securing her property’s fence, and it has since caved in, court papers state. Without the fence, Lindsey’s home garden is eroding, Lindsey’s lawyer, Jenaye Peterson, told BOSSIP. Rocko acquired the previously abandoned property to try to flip it, but may have run out of money for the renovation, Peterson said, adding that she sent him a legal letter, and he responded, promising to fix the wall, but hasn’t. Monica’s son’s father hasn’t responded to the case, probably because Lindsey hasn’t managed to serve him yet. This isn’t the only legal battle that Rocko is fighting. We exclusively revealed that the state Attorney General’s Office sued Rocko on behalf of a woman named Tinashel Phillips over paternity and supporting her daughter. Rocko hasn’t responded in that case either.

Exasperated Landlord Mounts Last Ditch Effort To Save Rent Case Against Blac Chyna For Nearly $50K (Exclusive)

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Blac Chyna Accused Of Skipping Out On Almost $50,000 In Back Rent On Southern California Cottage The landlord who accused Blac Chyna of running off on almost $50,000 in rent is gunning to save the case from being dismissed. Landlord Michael Kremerman filed court papers this week begging a judge to serve the “Rob & Chyna” star with the case complaint through a local newspaper after several failed attempts to serve the mom of two at her new address, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. The landlord sued Blac Chyna for breach of contract and negligence last month, alleging she upped and moved from a Studio City cottage four months before her lease was up without settling the back rent payments and with about $18,000 worth of items from the house. Kremerman said this week that he hired a process server to hand his lawsuit over to Chyna, but couldn’t find her, even though the process server said in an affidavit that they showed up to Chyna’s new home five times – even once at 4:16 a.m. – and even staked the home out for hours two times earlier this month. “Defendant has not acknowledged receipt,” Kremerman’s paperwork states. “Plaintiffs last resort is publication.” Chyna, whose real name is Angela Renee White, hasn’t responded to the case – most likely because she hasn’t been served on it yet. A judge has yet to rule on Kremerman’s motion.

Urologist Sues Lil Kim For Insurance Fraud & Claims She Skipped Out On $15K In Medical Bills (Exclusive)

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Dr. Gregory Lovallo Demands $15K From Rapper & Claims She Was “Unjustly Enriched” By False Insurance Claim A Northern New Jersey urologist has accused Lil Kim of cashing in on an insurance scam all the while failing to pay $15,000 for specialized medical treatment that may have been part of the con. Dr. Gregory Lovallo sued the “All About The Benjamins” rapper earlier this month for breach of contract, saying he provided urology-related health care to Lil Kim – whose real name is Kimberly Jones – but the rapper never paid her $15,000 bill for it. And the urologist alleges that Kim’s treatment may have been related to an insurance scam that she later profited off of. The doctor does not go into detail about what made him suspect that Kim was allegedly part of an insurance scheme, but does say that she was “unjustly enriched” as a result, court papers state. “Based upon information and belief, defendant improperly converted insurance proceeds to his/her own personal use,” Dr. Lovallo’s complaint, which was obtained by BOSSIP, states. “Based upon information and belief, defendant was unjustly enriched.” Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty The doctor wants the $15,000, plus interest and his lawyer’s fees paid. We’ve reached out to Dr. Lovallo’s lawyer for comment. Kim, who filed for bankruptcy last year after admitting owing millions to creditors, hadn’t responded to the case as of May 31. However, if she doesn’t answer the doctor’s complaint by next month, a judge could put her in default over the case.

No More Drama: Mary J. Blige & Ex-Hubby Kendu Off The Hook In Second $2 Mill Foreclosure Case (Exclusive)

Source: Patrick McMullan / Getty Bank Sued Queen Of Hip Hop Soul Over Mortgage Debts Mary J. Blige has scored a victory in a case accusing her of not paying the mortgage on her $2 million mortgage on her New Jersey mansion, BOSSIP has learned. Apex Bank has abruptly abandoned a foreclosure suit against the “No More Drama” singer after accusing her of not paying the house’s bills in months. Last year, we exclusively revealed that the bank sued Blige and her now ex-husband, Kendu Isaacs, alleging that they defaulted on a $2 million mortgage. Blige bought that home back in 2001, and the 6,100 square foot home has six bedrooms, a master suite on its own private floor and sits on an acre lot. On May 17, the court clerk threw the case out because Apex Bank refused to move forward with litigating it, court records obtained by BOSSIP show. The case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning that the bank can refile the suit against Blige in the future. Source: Patrick McMullan / Getty The move likely means that MJB and the bank came to an out of court settlement over the debt. It’s the second time in less than a year that Blige has been let off the hook in a foreclosure case against her, according to court records. Last year, the bank sued her and Isaacs for not paying the mortgage on her $12 million estate a few towns over, but dropped that case as well. Although Blige can put those cases behind her, she is still having to deal with legal woes stemming from her alleged housing choices. We exclusively revealed that a judge has allowed a Beverly Hills landlord’s case against her and Isaacs to continue in order to recover nearly $60,000 in back rent and fees.

IRS Says Ja Rule Owes $2 Million In Back Taxes (Exclusive)

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty The IRS Says Ja Rule Hasn’t Paid Taxes In Years Ja Rule is facing some bad news from the IRS on this tax day. The Murda Ink rapper turned Fyre Festival promoter has been left on the look for more than $2 million in back federal taxes on liens stretching back more than 10 years, BOSSIP has learned. The IRS issued Ja’s latest lien late last month for $443,442 for income he earned in 2016 – some of it likely coming from his work behind the failed Fyre Festival. But on March 4, the IRS issued a separate updated lien for back taxes from 2005 through 2008: $830,717 for 2005, $353,536 for 2006, $231,775 for 2007 and $172,282 for 2008. In total, the IRS says Ja owes $2,031,753, according to the new liens. His wife, Aisha, is also named on the liens, which were obtained by BOSSIP. It’s not the first time that Ja Rule has struggled with paying back taxes. We exclusively revealed that the feds accused him of owing $363,269 for income he earned in 2014 and 2015. Uncle Sam doesn’t play around when it comes to collecting taxes, and Ja is well aware of this. In 2011, a judge sentenced him to 28 months in federal prison after he pled guilty to tax evasion for failing to pay taxes on $3 million in income. Ja Rule hadn’t responded to the liens as of April 15, according to public records.

Landlord Says “Love & Hip Hop’s” Masika Skipped Out On $15K Rent (Exclusive)

Source: Jesse Grant / Getty “Love & Hip Hop” Star Embroiled In Dispute Over Back Rent An L.A. area landlord has accused reality star Masika Kalysha of being a rent dodger. That’s according to a new lawsuit from Emerson Vierra Reis, who is suing the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star for skipping out on four month’s worth of rent payments on a three bedroom, two bath house in Woodland Hills, CA. According to the suit, Instagram star Masika – who shares a two-year-old with rapper Fetty Wap – signed a lease to rent the place back in December 2017. But last September, she stopped paying the rent entirely and eventually moved out after Christmas without settling the rent debt, the suit, which was obtained by BOSSIP, said. In total, Reis said Masika’s back rent topped out at $14,740. Source: Paul Archuleta / Getty Reis withheld Masika’s $4,750 security deposit but is suing for the balance, $9,999. Reis said Masika also allegedly trashed the place, and he said he had to spend an additional $3,285 to fix the damages, according to court papers. The landlord said he tried to reason with Masika before filing the suit, but she still refused to pay up. The property in question is nearly 2,000 square feet and boasts marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and his and hers sinks. Masika moved out after Christmas and the home later sold for almost $800,000, according to public records. Masika has posted glamorous pictures of herself on social media in the home. Masika never responded to the suit, and the case is scheduled to go to trial next week. We reached out to both Masika and the landlord for comment.

U.S. Marshals Set To Arrest The Game Tonight At Oregon Rap Show (Exclusive)

LOS ANGELES, CA – JUNE 26: Fabolous and The Game spotted at Playhouse on June 26, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Prince Williams/GC Images) The Game On The Run After Ignoring $7.1 Million Sex Assault Judgment The game is up for The Game. The U.S. Marshals are poised to arrest the West Coast rapper Friday night during a concert, BOSSIP can reveal. The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was supposed to appear in federal court Friday in Illinois to answer why he hasn’t turned over his financial information to Priscilla Rainey, who won $7.1 million after suing him for sexually assaulting her while they filmed his reality show “She’s Got Game.” LOS ANGELES, CA – APRIL 14: Jayceon Terrell Taylor, aka The Game, The Game x Sprayground Collaboration Signing At Shoe Palace attends at Shoe Palace on April 14, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gabriel Olsen/Getty Images) But when he didn’t turn up, Judge Gary Feinerman lifted a hold on an arrest warrant and ordered the U.S. Marshals to pick him up at his show Friday evening at the Moda Center, according to court docs obtained by BOSSIP. Rainey has complained that The Game has repeatedly dodged her request for the docs so she can figure out how to begin collecting her multimillion-dollar payout. However, The Game’s lawyer asked the judge to throw the warrant out “in the interests of justice and equity,” saying that his client provided the financial docs in time for Friday’s hearing.
