So we sat down with celebrity hairstylist Nikki Regis, of the Thomas Taft Salon in NYC, to talk about the hot new looks for natural hair. Regis – who specializes in protective styles, cuts, coloring and transitioning back to natural – said the new crop of hairstyles for natural hair was all about textured looks to let your style stand out. Low cuts are becoming the latest trend into naturals, Regis said, adding that bright colors like neon, reds, and blues were the new dye jobs her clients were now requesting. “Whether you choose not to do a color, the main focus is on fun styles that are short, tapered and edgy,” Regis said.
