The Secret Life of the American Teenager is set to welcome an American teenager whose personal life has been anything but secret for the past two years. Bristol Palin, 19, will appear as herself in the July 5 episode. The series, now in its third season, focuses on families, friends and how they deal with the unexpected pregnancy, and subsequent motherhood, of a teen. Main character Amy Juergens, played by Shailene Woodley, will befriend Bristol Palin at a program for teenage mothers, and says about their scene: “We’re all teen moms and musicians. Having just gotten back together with baby daddy Levi Johnston, according to reports, things are going well for Bristol, mother of 18-month-old Tripp. As well as they can be expected to, at least. The daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin takes care of herself and Tripp by working multiple jobs. Aside from the controversy of Mercede Johnston’s blog , life is really on the upswing these days, and we look forward to seeing Bristol’s TV debut.
