Bethenny Frankel Discusses Divorce, Feelings of Failure

Just days after filing for divorce from Jason Hoppy , Bethenny Frankel sat down with Ellen DeGeneres for an interview that airs today and told the host she’s going through an “excruciating” time. “I feel like a failure,” Frankel said. “I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it. And [my 2-year-old daughter] Bryn is my fairy tale.” Bethenny Frankel on Ellen: Divorce Interview Frankel and Hoppy wed in a televised ceremony in 2010, with the former Real Housewives of New York City star admitting: “I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s fair princess, fairy tale and then not take my hits when I have to. I’ve kind of had the best worst year ever.” Frankel added that she needs to handle this split with “grace and dignity” because she feels like a role model. “I get letters from people saying now I don’t believe in love and that’s just not true, love is everywhere,” Bethenny says. We agree with that sentiment, but… really, people?!? If you no longer believe in love because Bethenny Frankel is now divorced, you may need to re-evaluate your definition of this emotion.
