At yesterday’s Presidential Inauguration, Beyonce sang an incredible version of the national anthem. It gave attendees chills and lit up the Internet within minutes of its completion. But now comes word that may tarnish the performance in the eyes of many: the artist did NOT perform live. Beyonce – Inauguration National Anthem “All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois, a rep for the United States Marine Band tells Page Six , adding: “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the (sic) reason why.” It’s not unusual, of course, for singers to take this route.
