This just in: Kylie Jenner is crazy rich. What? You already knew that? Okay, try this on for size in that case: Kylie Jenner is HISTORICALLY rich. The latest issue of Forbes states that Jenner has surpassed Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest self-made billionaire in history; he was 23 when he reached the billion dollar-mark as a result of creating this Presidential-election-swinging social media platform. Is Jenner really self-made, however? This is the debate that has now broken out across the Internet. Ready to join in?!? Scroll down for more! 1. Cha-Ching! Forbes made it official in March of 2019: Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire EVER. 2. Wait, Didn’t Kylie Already Earn This Honor? Not officially, no. In July 2018, Jenner covered this same magazine, which teased that the $800 millionaire was “set” to earn this distinction. 3. Where Does She Rank Worldwide? Jenner sits at number 2,057 on the list of 2,153 billionaires around the globe. She is the youngest person on this list. 4. Kylie Reacts! “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” Jenner told Forbes. “But (the recognition) feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.” 5. How Did This Happen? Forbes credits an exclusive distribution deal with Ulta for Kylie Cosmetics, whose revenue climbed 9% last year to an estimated $360 million. 6. Writes the Magazine: With that kind of growth, and even using a conservative multiple from the booming makeup industry, Forbes estimates Jenner’s company is worth at least $900 million. She owns all of it. Add in the cash Jenner has already pulled from the profitable business, and the 21-year-old is now a billionaire, with an estimated fortune of $1 billion. View Slideshow
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has put down the tough guy facade for a few moments. In a revealing interview with Us Weekly , the veteran Jersey Shore star has admitted that he checked into a rehab facility after the filiming of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 2. Why? Because he finally realized the extent of his dependency on alcohol. Drunk Ronnie has often been a source of humor and mockey for fans of this MTV franchise, but Ronnie explains below why it really should not be a laughing matter. Scroll down to read excerpts from his interview and join us in commending Ronnie for taking this step… 1. Ronnie Has Made Many Headline of Late And few of them have been positive… and most of them have centered on his VERY rocky relationship with Jen Harley, who gave birth to the couple’s daughter in early April of 2018. 2. There Have Been Ups. But Mostly Been Downs. Harley has been arrested for alleged assault against Ronnie… Ronnie has been accused of ransacking Jen’s apartment… Jen has referred to Ronnie as a “deadbeat cokehead” and Ronnie has referred to Jen as a “cum dumpster.” It’s been ugly. 3. At Least Ronnie Recognized There Was a Problem “I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter,” Otiz-Magro tells Us Weekly, adding that he entered the facility for help with depression and alcohol abuse. 4. A Lot More from Ronnie: “Eventually, all the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places that I didn’t want to be. I wanted to be led to the place that I am now – that’s happy, healthy and the best role model for my daughter.” 5. Poor Ariana Ortiz-Magro shares 10-month-old daughter Ariana with Harley, which is what makes their vicious, never-ending back and forth just so sad and troublesome. 6. It Really Has Been So Vicious and Public On New Year’s Eve, both sides admit to have gotten into a major fight, with Ronnie claiming that Jen busted open his face with a glass ashtray . No show has ever needed a “talking stick” type of mechanic quite like The View . After last week's uncomfortable discussion about Joy Behar's history with blackface , they're now discussing politics. Well, they're trying to. In this clip, Joy brings the discussion to a halt after Meghan McCain throws an on-air hissy fit. “What about Senator Amy Klobuchar?” Joy Behar asks rhetorically, kicking off a new topic. “She kicked off her Presidential campaign in the middle of a blizzard,” Joy notes. “And,” Joy continues. “Trump mocked her.” Joy continues to try to set up for the next portion of the discussion. Unfortunately, Meghan is already trying to interject with her opinion. It's literally her job to voice her views — it's right there in the show's name — but she's supposed to let Joy finish introducing the topic. Trump's tweet, attempting to roast Klobuchar, was his usual nonsense. He can't understand that climate change actually causes extreme weather on both ends despite an overall trend of warming. So he thinks that blizzards won't happen because of climate change (even though, obviously, a warming climate means more moisture in the air in many places). We get it — his brain is bad. That's been clear for a long time. But Meghan can't even let Joy read through something as short as a tweet without trying to interject. In fact, Meghan loudly says: “You know what?” while Joy is reading, and then we hear a smack , presumably of her note cards hitting the table. They then go into Klobuchar's response to Trump, which was to point out that his fake hair wouldn't look great in a blizzard. Meghan laughs nervously, saying: “It's stupid, it's all so stupid.” Abby Huntsman (who looks so much like her dad ) suggests that other politicians should rise above Trump's tactic of slinging insults. And then they get into the merits of whether women have an advantage, since Trump insulting women always looks worse to the public. I can't say that I agree with Abby on all of her views, but she does have a very congenial way of talking, even when she's wrong or being sarcastic. But Meghan was clearly chomping at the bit and felt like she was being steamrolled. “Can I say something now?” Meghan whines. (I don't want to be mean to Meghan — in fact, years ago, I really liked her! But oh gosh, that's exactly what she's doing) “Is that okay, Joy?” she asks sarcastically. “Do I have permission to speak now on Amy Klobuchar?” She looks at the audience as she asks this, as if appealing for sympathy. “We’re all good?” she asks indignantly. “Okay! Two quick things. Number one, I have friends that were at her announcement,” Meghan begins. She then cuts herself off, presumably at Joy's astonished facial expression. “Alright, no!” Meghan says. “By all means, keep going, Joy!” Clearly, Meghan thinks that Joy was trying to interrupt her. Joy makes it clear that this was not the case. “No,” Joy jokes. “If you're gonna have a hissy fit, we can't continue.” Her voice tone and her fake sullen expression make it clear that Joy is joking, here. There are times when Meghan McCain makes really great points on The View. Part of her appeal on the show is that she can really jump in and make a powerful point … every now and then. But she does spend a lot of time as the show's primary antagonist — even when her co-stars do not necessarily disagree with her. She seems to have an adversarial disposition towards her castmates. But they've faced off before, and seem to be able to keep things civil when they're not on camera. The View exists mostly for entertainment. They discuss the news rather than report it. That said … seriously. They might want to figure out a way to determine who talks when. At the very least, it might appease Meghan, who seems to constantly feel like she's being silenced. (She's not being silenced. She's literally being paid to speak)
Source: Thomas Trutschel / Getty Teen Sisters Kill Their Mother Because She Took Away Their Phones According to the NY Post , a 14-year-old & her 12-year-old sister were arrested for stabbing and shooting their mother to death after she took their phones for trying to run her over with the family car. Amariyona Hall,14, and her younger sister were taken into custody earlier this week after deputies in Pike County responded to a call from the family’s mobile home. Erica Hall, a 32-year-old mother of four, was found stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest with a handgun, according to reports. Emergency workers tried to resuscitate Hall after her her bloodied bodied was found outside her home. After deputies followed up with neighbors they discovered the attack followed an incident days earlier in which the girls tried to run Hall over with the family’s car. That prompted Hall to punish her daughters by taking their phones, leading them to respond with the fatal assault. Amariyona Hall, who has been charged as an adult, is being held on $150,000 bond at the Pike County Jail. She’s due to return to court for a preliminary hearing Jan. 29 after appearing for a bond hearing Saturday, the newspaper reports. Source: VIEW press / Getty Michael Cohen Set To Testify In Front Of Congress Next Month According to Fox5 Atlanta , Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen , will testify publicly before a House committee next month in a hearing that could serve as the opening case for impeachment, his conflicts of interest and his alleged ties to Russia. The “House Oversight and Reform Committee” announced earlier this week that Cohen will testify before the panel early February. Cohen is a key piece in the investigations by special counsel Robert Mueller. He reportedly can speak on the potential coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign as well as the federal prosecutors in New York involved in campaign finance violations related to payments to two women who say they had sex with Trump earlier last year. Cohen has previously pleaded guilty in both investigations and was subsequently sentenced to 3 years in prison which many believe is the reason he now wants to testify and “state publicly all he knows.” In a statement released on Thursday, Cohen said he had accepted the invitation “in furtherance of my commitment to cooperate and provide the American people with answers.” Cohen also added: “I look forward to having the privilege of being afforded a platform with which to give a full and credible account of the events which have transpired.” Cohen acknowledged in the Mueller investigation that he wasn’t truthful to Congress by saying negotiations over a Trump Tower in Moscow had ended in January 2016 when they actually continued into that June, well into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In New York, he also acknowledged his involvement in the Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal scandals. Cohen testified before the House intelligence panel early in 2017, before his role in the federal investigations was fully known and when Republicans controlled the panel. The GOP-led committee later ended its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, saying there was no evidence of collusion or conspiracy between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
Source: MCT / Getty Is America ready for its first Black female president? California Senator Kamala Harris sure thinks so and sources believe she might prove this theory with her own run in 2020. According to KCBS Radio , sources claim that Harris, 54, plans on throwing her hat in the presidential election ring, most likely announcing her bid on or around Martin Luther King Jr. Day in a rally in her hometown of Oakland. However, one of Harris’ reps told The Hill on Thursday that no announcement is imminent and she will not be in Oakland during the holiday weekend. Meanwhile Harris, 54, hasn’t confirmed her run for President, but has said in numerous interviews that she will make that decision soon. . @CapehartJ asks Sen. Kamala Harris about running for president: “Do you have a timetable for making a decision?” @KamalaHarris “Soon.” Watch full conversation here: https://t.co/3Pi4VLADqo pic.twitter.com/UbkcEIvP7M — CSPAN (@cspan) January 10, 2019 Sen. Kamala Harris on 2020: “I will make my decision soon.” https://t.co/MT4uEd7CcU pic.twitter.com/PlIs7QEswY — The Hill (@thehill) January 10, 2019 Over the past weeks, Harris been making the media rounds, promoting her new book, “The Truths We Hold: An American Journey.” During a recent interview on ABC’s “The View” Harris stressed she believes that after President Trump, this country has evolved enough to have a woman of color as the leader of the free world. “I’m not saying that about myself, but I am saying that about the capacity of the American public,” Harris said, adding, “We need to give the American public more credit. They are smarter than that.” “Despite a woman’s role in the world, there are still certain myths of what a woman can and cannot do,” Harris said, citing her mother. As a woman of color, Harris is no stranger to breaking the political glass ceiling in her state, which is why her mother warned her about the racial and gender stereotypes she would face. “In spite of the fact that it is the woman who is the lioness, protecting those cubs. In spite of the fact that it is the woman at the kitchen table at midnight balancing those books,” Harris stressed. “There are so many myths that we still are challenged with,” she continued. “But with each woman who gains success, I think there is a greater appreciation and understanding of the capacity and breadth and depth of who women are and what we can do.” This news of running definitely has some folks on Twitter excited: Apparently Kamala Harris is running for President and she will do a formal announcement around MLK birthday Historic!! F ormer President Barack Obama has always been big on music. Throughout his presidency, he’s shared with us the songs that he keeps in heavy rotation. Let us not forget that time he made an appearance at the Apollo Theater and sang some of Al Green ’s song “Let’s Stay Together.” Obama has now taken his love for music to new heights. According to USA Today , his recent collaboration with Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda has landed him a spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart. Barack Obama has made his debut at No. 22 on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart https://t.co/NrYGOWq1rR — USA TODAY Life (@usatodaylife) January 4, 2019 The song, dubbed “One Last Time (44 Remix),” debuted at No. 22 on the chart. The track features Obama, singer BeBe Winans , and Hamilton actor Christopher Jackson . On the song—which is about former President George Washington leaving his presidential seat—Obama recites Washington’s farewell address. “I anticipate with pleasing expectation that retreat in which I promise myself to realize, without alloy, the sweet enjoyment of partaking, in the midst of my fellow-citizens, the benign influence of good laws under a free government, the ever-favorite object of my heart, and the happy reward, as I trust, of our mutual cares, labors, and dangers,” says Obama. The song is a part of Miranda’s project Hamildrops which puts a spin on different songs from the musical. He launched the project last year and some of the proceeds are given to different nonprofit organizations. Obama has been a long-time supporter of the Hamilton movement. He took his family to see the show on Broadway and in 2016 the cast performed at the White House. His Billboard accomplishment comes just weeks after he shared his favorite songs of 2018 list which included music from The Carters , Leon Bridges , J. Cole , Cardi B , Janelle Monae , and others. Source: Ben Rose / Getty We all know, T.I hasn’t been the biggest fan of Donald Trump or his presidential term. To put it frankly T.I. don’t mess with 45. The rapper has always been very out spoken about his distain for the President and Trump’s ideals. Well T.I. just released a new teaser of his controversial music video for a song on his tenth album, “Dime Trap.” The video shows Donald Trump leaving the White House and Melania Trump meeting T.I. in the Oval Office and well….It goes down from there. The Melania look alike was wearing her infamous “I really don’t care, Do you?” jacket and begin to fully strip in front of T.I. in the video. T. I. tweeted the video with the caption below. Dear 45, I ain’t Kanye. pic.twitter.com/BCS8nkbn1M — T.I. (@Tip) October 13, 2018 Melanie Trump WAS NOT feeling his video. Image via Heidi Gutman/ABC via Getty Images Billy Bush Wants To End The “War On Flaws” Remember Billy Bush? He’s the former Access Hollywood and Today host who thought Donald Trump’s vagina-violation boasts were hilarious. Well, whether you realized it or not, yesterday was the 2-year anniversary of that infamous taping hitting airwaves during the 2016 Presidential election. Billy thought that he should mark the day by taking to Instagram to go on some righteously indignant rant about how society needs to end the “war on faults”. Because, apparently, there are terrible things “that we all do” that people are being punished too harshly for… It’s funny that the same white male privilege that got Billy in trouble to begin with is the same entitlement that fueled this heada$$ caption. Clearly he’s learned nothing. No surprise there.
James Devaney/WireImage Will Smith Reveals Whether Or Not He Plans To Run For President In 2020 The state of the nation is so depressing these days that folks are looking to just any celebrity to replace the current President. After leaving an event with Dave Chappelle on Friday, Will Smith was asked if he’d consider a Presidential run. He told the paps, You would vote for me if I ran? I’ma consider it. I’ma take that under advisement.” Dave chimed in, “ And I’ll be the Vice President, that way nothing will happen to Will.” Judging by his Instagram alone, Will would make a much better leader of the free world than what’s up in that White House right now. Plus he still knows how to have a good time. Over the weekend, he opened up for Dave in his first ever stand up comedy set and spit a dope freestyle at the afterparty. Would you be here for Big Willie as your new POTUS?
