Lucero Guadalupe Sanchez Lopez, 29, gave teary-eyed testimony of how Chapo made her his “house-wife” and recounted a recounted a three-year relationship in which she said she periodically slept with Guzman, helped him buy hundreds of kilos of marijuana and joined the butt-naked alleged leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel in escaping Mexican Marines though a secret underground tunnel under his bathroom tub. Source: Thomas Trutschel / Getty Teen Sisters Kill Their Mother Because She Took Away Their Phones According to the NY Post , a 14-year-old & her 12-year-old sister were arrested for stabbing and shooting their mother to death after she took their phones for trying to run her over with the family car. Amariyona Hall,14, and her younger sister were taken into custody earlier this week after deputies in Pike County responded to a call from the family’s mobile home. Erica Hall, a 32-year-old mother of four, was found stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest with a handgun, according to reports. Emergency workers tried to resuscitate Hall after her her bloodied bodied was found outside her home. After deputies followed up with neighbors they discovered the attack followed an incident days earlier in which the girls tried to run Hall over with the family’s car. That prompted Hall to punish her daughters by taking their phones, leading them to respond with the fatal assault. Amariyona Hall, who has been charged as an adult, is being held on $150,000 bond at the Pike County Jail. She’s due to return to court for a preliminary hearing Jan. 29 after appearing for a bond hearing Saturday, the newspaper reports. Hall’s younger daughter, who was not named, remains in custody at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.
Source: VIEW press / Getty Michael Cohen Set To Testify In Front Of Congress Next Month According to Fox5 Atlanta , Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen , will testify publicly before a House committee next month in a hearing that could serve as the opening case for impeachment, his conflicts of interest and his alleged ties to Russia. The “House Oversight and Reform Committee” announced earlier this week that Cohen will testify before the panel early February. Cohen is a key piece in the investigations by special counsel Robert Mueller. He reportedly can speak on the potential coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign as well as the federal prosecutors in New York involved in campaign finance violations related to payments to two women who say they had sex with Trump earlier last year. Cohen has previously pleaded guilty in both investigations and was subsequently sentenced to 3 years in prison which many believe is the reason he now wants to testify and “state publicly all he knows.” In a statement released on Thursday, Cohen said he had accepted the invitation “in furtherance of my commitment to cooperate and provide the American people with answers.” Cohen also added: “I look forward to having the privilege of being afforded a platform with which to give a full and credible account of the events which have transpired.” Cohen acknowledged in the Mueller investigation that he wasn’t truthful to Congress by saying negotiations over a Trump Tower in Moscow had ended in January 2016 when they actually continued into that June, well into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In New York, he also acknowledged his involvement in the Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal scandals. Cohen testified before the House intelligence panel early in 2017, before his role in the federal investigations was fully known and when Republicans controlled the panel. The GOP-led committee later ended its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, saying there was no evidence of collusion or conspiracy between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

The R&B singer filed for divorce this past Friday (Dec. 28) in the state of Georgia. The Blast reports : According to court records, obtained by The Blast, Usher Raymond filed to divorce Grace Miguel on Friday in Georgia. The “U Got It Bad” singer is using the same attorney he retained for his previous custody fight with ex-wife, Tameka Foster. The couple, who married in 2015, split up earlier this year but there was no official action taken on their marriage. At the time, they released a joint statement, telling fans, “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.” They added, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.” The outlet adds that earlier reports that Usher has filed for divorce were ultimately untrue. The troubled rapper’s attorney says their side is putting together a seven-figure bail package that will give 69 homebound freedom until his trial. TMZ reports : The rapper’s lawyer, Lance Lazarro, tells TMZ … he’s putting a bail package together for the rapper in hopes of getting him sprung from the federal prison facility where he’s being held, so he can enjoy some freedom until his trial begins in September. We’re told the plan is to ask the court to set 69’s bail at $1.5 million, and Lazarro will also make the case that Tekashi’s not a danger to the community … nor is he a flight risk. 6ix9ine’s lawyer says he wants to file the motion before his next scheduled court appearance in late January. If the judge rules in his favor and grants bail, the rapper can await trial from the comfort of his own home once he posts the $1.5 mil. Source: Frazer Harrison / Getty Kodak Black Sexual Assault Case Gets A Trial Date About two years ago, rapper Kodak Black was extradited from a Florida jail and transferred to a facility in South Carolina after being accused of raping a woman in a South Carolina hotel. Fast forward to the present day: the trial date for said sexual assault case has officially been set. According to NBC’s local Florence, South Carolina affiliate, the trial is set to begin in April of next year. Kodak, who appeared in a Florence courtroom this past Thursday, is being accused of pinning down, biting and raping the alleged victim while in a hotel in the same city back in February of 2016. Since the time of these initial accusations, the 21-year-old has been in-and-out of jail for a couple of different offenses. Just this past August, Black was released from jail after serving seven months for grand theft of a firearm, two charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a Florida delinquent adult felon, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of parole violation. If Kodak is convicted in this sexual assault trial, he could be sentenced to a whopping 30 years in prison–so the outcome of this case is pretty important for both Black’s personal life and career, to say the least. It was only about a week ago that Kodak was handcuffed outside of a Hollywood nightclub following a scuffle inside the venue. This time, Black ended up being let go and wasn’t arrested for the incident, but simply got caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Note to Jessica Simpson: You’re right. We’re on your side. But take a chill pill, will ya? On multiple occasions over the past years or so, the singer ( Second Note: Can we still refer to that as Simpson’s job? Discuss! ) has been the victim of some pretty intense mommy-shaming. Multiple Internet users with way too much time on their hands have called Simpson out for what they deemed to be inappropriate photos of her daughter, Maxwell. First, there was the time Simpson shared the following picture of little Maxwell and wrote as a caption to it: “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they’re like it’s better than yours…” That’s a lyric from a 2003 single by Kelis and the “milkshake” in question is a reference to oral sex. So, yeah. Simpson may have made a mistake then penning this caption. But then Simpson shared another photo of Maxwell and heard it from the online community for no reason at all. In early May, Jessica and husband Eric Johnson threw their daughter a mermaid-themed birthday party. Cute idea, right? The Little Mermaid is a classic Disney movie and children love these imaginary creatures. In celebration of the occasion, Simpson posted the image below on Instagram, simply passing along a family portrait from the gathering: But stupid haters didn’t see it that way. They blasted Simpson for daring to dress Maxwell in such a revealing outfit. No, really… they did! “Parents should never post pictures of their children, especially girls, in swimming attire or underwear,” wrote one critic, who believed she was being helpful by adding: “Perverted predators copy or screen shot the pictures and share them with each other.” Added another: “She’s 5. Put some clothes on her. good grief.” And another: “Kinda sad seeing a 5-year-old posing like that…” Look, if you get sad by seeing a five-year old dressed like a mermaid, well…you’re just a sad person in general. We’re not sure what else to tell you. In response to these idiots, Simpson went ahead this week and doubled down. She shared yet another supposedly “revealing” picture of her toddler, this time showcasing Maxwell riding a scooter while wearing a bikini. and writing as a caption “safety first.” And it’s true: Maxwell is wearing a helmet! Good for her! Good for Simpson and Johnson! Far too many parents out there don’t force their kids to take this precaution when riding a bike or a scooter. But Simpson also included a smiley face emoji with this picture, clearly winking at her followers because she knew she’d receive flak for Maxwell’s swimsuit. And we’re with her; people criticizing a child for wearing a two-piece need to get a life and shut the heck up. Still, we hope this is as far as Simpson goes. She’s made her point. She needs to be done with it now. Because Simpson isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer (see video below… now!) and we could almost see her taking this another step. So before you take a snapshot of your child’s bare butt to keep shoving it down the critics’ throats, Jessica, put the camera down, relax, take pride in your victory and prepare better for your next interview on Ellen. Sometimes, otherwise smart people will buy into the unbelievable hook, line, and sinker. Bill Cosby’s trial is ongoing, and he’s run pretty short on people who still believe him — but some folks are sticking with him, for some reason. We’ve already mentioned that both Bill Cosby’s real wife and TV wife support him . Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played his daughter on The Cosby Show, is also at the trial. It looks like, defying all reason, she’s there to stand by his side every step of the way. “I came to support because this is where you hear the facts. This is where the truth happens,” she told reporters . It sounds like she’s imagining that he’s going to be vindicated in this trial. “Ultimately, it’s easy to support someone and to be in their corner when things are great,” she says. She’s right about that one, very specific thing. “But true family, friendship, integrity,” she continues. “Is how people show up and support when things aren’t looking so great, when they aren’t shining.” Usually this means coming over to help a friend move after a breakup, or letting someone crash on your couch after they lost their job, or just hanging out with them when they’re not at their best. That’s usually what it means to not be a “fair weather friend.” Somebody needs to tell Keshia Pulliam Knight that rape trials aren’t “friendships tests,” they’re literal trials for sexual assault. It could be your blood sibling on trial and you would still be completely clear to cut ties with them. Nobody would think that you were only close because their life was going well. We wish that we could say that she’s the only celebrity who still buys Bill Cosby’s claims of innocence , but she isn’t . Of course, the reality is that, regardless of what anyone believes, acquittal is totally possible. We all know that. If you believe in Cosby’s innocence, of course you believe that acquittal is possible. If you believe in Cosby’s guilt, you can’t help but think of George Zimmerman, of O.J. Simpson, and Casey Anthony — all of whom were acquitted. Because the jury system’s so, so great, right? There’s something cautious about Keshia’s phrasing, though. Anybody else notice that? With her “this is where the truth happens” line, maybe she’s wording her statements so that, no matter how the trial goes, she can still be “right” either way. If he’s acquitted, she can point to her statements and say that she always knew that he was innocent, and that the truth has come out. Never mind that acquittal of one assault would still leave more than 50 accusations, and that legal and factual innocence do not always overlap. But, with her careful words, she can still be “right” even if he’s convicted. The jury can hand down a guilty verdict and Keshia could, if she chose, argue that this trial has revealed how powerful this “conspiracy” against Bill Cosby is — powerful enough to convict a man she believes is innocent. We don’t know if she’ll actually go that route. Maybe she doesn’t even know. No matter how the trial turns out or how she responds, we hate to see her do this to herself. Back in June of 2015, Dylann Roof slaughtered nine parishioners of Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church as they closed their eyes in prayer. Throughout his trial, he maintained that he was of sound mind at the time of the attack, and he offered no sign of remorse when given the opportunity. Today, the 22-year-old was condemned to death by a federal jury. Roof, an avowed neo-Nazi, never made any attempt to conceal the fact that his crimes were racially motivated, and any doubts about his guilt were eliminated over the course of his trial. Roof confessed to his crimes shortly after his arrest, and though he did not carry through on his plan to represent himself at trial, he consistently went against the advice of his court-appointed attorneys, failing to In fact, at times, it seemed as though Roof was all but daring the jury to sentence him to death. Last month, Roof was found guilty , and the heinous nature of his crimes, coupled with his unabashedly hateful belief system seemed to make the death penalty a virtual foregone conclusion. Roof’s family has issued a public plea for privacy. Shortly after his arrest, they issued a statement saying that they would “struggle as long as we live to understand why he committed this horrible attack, which caused so much pain to so many good people.” Several of the victims’ family members pleaded with the court to spare Roof’s life, reminding the jurors – nine of whom were white, three black – that the victims were a pious bunch, who believed that all human life is sacred. In the end, however, it seems the jury felt that Roof’s crimes were so deplorable that no lesser punishment would be sufficient. According to testimony and police reports, Roof made six scouting trips to the Charleston church before entering during a Bible study session on June 17, 2015. He was welcomed by South Carolina State Senator Rev. Clementa C. Pickney and the other parishioners in attendance. He sat quietly among the group, waiting until they closed their eyes for a benediction. When his victims’ defenses were down, Roof fired 70 shots, killing Pickney and 8 others. The youngest victim was Tywnza Sanders, age 26, who bravely pleaded with Roof to stop the killing. “You blacks are killing white people on the streets everyday and raping white women everyday,” he replied, according to his own prison manifesto. Those present in the courtroom say Roof showed no emotion upon learning that he had been condemned to death.
