Usher Files For Divorce From Grace Miguel, Decision Mutual

Source: Tiffany Rose / Getty It appears that the three-year marriage of Usher and Grace Miguel is coming to an end after a separation that was announced earlier this year. The R&B singer filed for divorce this past Friday (Dec. 28) in the state of Georgia. The Blast reports : According to court records, obtained by The Blast, Usher Raymond filed to divorce Grace Miguel on Friday in Georgia. The “U Got It Bad” singer is using the same attorney he retained for his previous custody fight with ex-wife, Tameka Foster. The couple, who married in 2015, split up earlier this year but there was no official action taken on their marriage. At the time, they released a joint statement, telling fans, “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.” They added, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.” The outlet adds that earlier reports that Usher has filed for divorce were ultimately untrue. Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Legal Team Preparing $1.5M Bail Package

Source: PYMCA / Getty Tekashi 6ix9ine is still behind bars but if recent announcements made by his legal team are true, that soon could change. The troubled rapper’s attorney says their side is putting together a seven-figure bail package that will give 69 homebound freedom until his trial. TMZ reports : The rapper’s lawyer, Lance Lazarro, tells TMZ … he’s putting a bail package together for the rapper in hopes of getting him sprung from the federal prison facility where he’s being held, so he can enjoy some freedom until his trial begins in September. We’re told the plan is to ask the court to set 69’s bail at $1.5 million, and Lazarro will also make the case that Tekashi’s not a danger to the community … nor is he a flight risk. 6ix9ine’s lawyer says he wants to file the motion before his next scheduled court appearance in late January. If the judge rules in his favor and grants bail, the rapper can await trial from the comfort of his own home once he posts the $1.5 mil. Lazzaro has been on record saying that the artist born Daniel Hernandez will not accept a plea deal and intends to take the racketeering case to trial. — Photo: getty

Alicia Keys to Sing Super Bowl National Anthem

We still don’t know who will play in next month’s Super Bowl – our money is on the Patriots vs. the 49ers – but we do now know the two main musical acts that will be featured in New Orleans. Beyonce will perform at halftime – and it’s been confirmed that Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem. The occasion will mark this Grammy winner’s first time performing at the big game, although she has actually twice before taken the stage during the pre-show. Music fans, meanwhile, can also look forward to a Destiny’s Child reunion along Beyonce, presumably to belt out the group’s new single, “Nuclear.”

Betsy Andreu: Furious at Lance Armstrong for Oprah Interview Admission

On Thursday night, Lance Armstrong admitted to performance-enhancing drug use during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. But Betsy Andreu wishes the disgraced cyclist has come even more clean during the much-hyped sit-down. Betsy Andreu Blasts Lance Armstrong Andreu was mentioned in the Q&A because she has been on record as saying she overheard Armstrong admit to doping in 1996 while he was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatments. Armstrong told Winfrey that he recently called Andreu to apologize for slamming her as a crazy liar over the years – but he dodged the question of whether that hospital incident actually took place. “I thought maybe there is a chance for him to change,” Andreu told Anderson Cooper last night. “It was such a big step. Maybe I’m stupid. I was willing to give him a second chance.” Every reference to her in the chat with Winfrey left Andreu “furious” she said because “he could have come clean. He owed it to me.” “He’s cherry picking the truth,” she said. “If he’s willing to go out on a limb and speak so publicly and say he cheated and lied and defrauded the U.S. government, then why not tell the truth about the hospital room. I wonder why he did the interview at all.” Did you tune in for it? What do you think now of Lance Armstrong? Do you forgive him?   Yes, he came clean No, why would I? View Poll »
