Florida Man Writes Apology Letter To Judge After Fleeing The Courtroom To Do This…

Florida Man Escapes Courtroom To Prove His Innocence A Florida man orchestrated an escape from the courtroom during one of his trial hearings…but he says it was all in the interest in helping out his defense team. Via MailOnline : Dayonte Resiles, a 22-year-old from Broward County, Florida, is accused in the stabbing death of Jill Halliburton Su, 59, a member of the wealthy Halliburton family, during a home invasion robbery in September 2014. This past July 15, Resiles escaped from a courtroom during a hearing in the trial, triggering a six-day manhunt. Resiles jumped out of a jury box and ran from a courtroom around 9:30am, breaking free of his handcuffs and shackles and ditching his gray prison jumpsuit in a hallway. It was later determined that he received help from his girlfriend and three others as part of a plot that had been planned during jailhouse calls and visits. Following his recapture, Resiles wrote a letter to the judge hearing his case. An apologetic Resiles insisted that his intention was to gather evidence that would prove his innocence. ‘I hope you don’t take it personal because your (sic) one judge that I have great respect for,’ he wrote to Judge Raag Singhal. ‘I felt I was at a dead end with nowhere to turn to,’ he wrote. ‘I tried to appeal to everyone to prove to them I was innocent but my voice went unheard.’ ‘When I escaped, my whole reason was to gather enough info on my case to prove my innocence,’ Resiles writes. On September 8, 2014, the body of Halliburton Su was found by her oldest son, who was sent to check up on the house when her husband couldn’t access the home’s surveillance cameras at work. It’s believed that Resiles broke in the house through a rear window to rob the home, but ran into Su and killed her in the process. How much of that time on the outside do you think this guy was REALLY using to do CSI work and research on his case? Continue reading

Kourtney Kardashian Gets Her "Swagger Back" After Bieber Breakup!

As you’ve probably heard, Kourtney Kardashian closed out 2015 (and baffled her friends, family, and fans) by hooking up with Justin Bieber .  Even though Kourtney’s fondness for d-bags is well-documented, it was a bizarre move that blew up in her face when Justin was photographed kissing Hailey Baldwin on New Year’s Eve. But it looks like Kourt won’t let that embarrassment dampen her 2016 swag: The photo on the right is a screenshot of a conversation with Khloe Kardashian that Kourtney posted to her Instagram page today. Apparently it serves as both an advertisement for Kimoji – the line of Kim kardashian-themed Emojis that hopefully won’t be a thing for very long – and a press release announcing to the world that Kourtney’s got her swagger back, and she’s ready to move on to the next self-obsessed pretty boy with a short fuse and a Blue Steel gaze. We kid, of course. After the year she’s had, if Kourtney’s feeling herself, then we hope she keeps right on swaggin’. Besides, if her split from Scott Disick is any indication, breakup Kourtney is the best Kourtney. Here’s hoping we’re about to receive another round of Kourtney’s “revenge body” photos just like the ones she posted she finally dumped the Douche Lord.  View Slideshow: 29 Photos of Kourtney Kardashian Showing Scott Disick What He’s Missing

Steven Avery: Juror’s Ties to Manitowoc Sheriff’s Department Exposed!

As the national obsession with the bizarre murder trials of Steven Avery and his young nephew Brendan Dassey continues to grow, new evidence of corruption on the part of the authorities who helped put him away seems to surface daily. Avery, of course, is the focus of the recent Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer , which covers both his wrongful imprisonment for sexual assault at the age of 23, as well as his arrest and conviction for the murder of Teresa Halbach two decades later. The filmmakers make a compelling case for why Manitowoc, Wisconsin law enforcement would have incentive to frame Avery and Dassey for Halbach’s murder, yet viewers of the series remain deeply divided on the question of whether police and prosecutors would have or even could have perpetrated such a conspiracy. Avery was on the verge of receiving a $36 million settlement from the county as a result of spending 18 years behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit, and Murderer establishes that several prominent local figures harbored intense hatred for Avery. At one point in the documentary, investigators are shown coaxing a confession out of Dassey – Avery’s mentally impaired 16-year-old nephew – apparently for no other reason than it would be easier to convict Avery if they could prove he had an accomplice. There’s too much damning evidence against the Manitowoc law enforcement and judicial systems to recount here, but after viewing the series in its entirety, even stalwart supporters of Avery are left with a number of questions: For example, if Avery didn’t kill Halbach, who did? And with so much at stake, how did Manitowoc officials ensure that the jury would turn in a guilty verdict? The first of those questions may have been answered yesterday when it was revealed that Steven believes his brothers Chuck and Earl Avery may murdered Halbach , but his theory was buried by the courts for six years. Earlier today, a shocking new allegation may have revealed the lengths to which prosecutors were willing to go to guarantee a favorable outcome for the state.  According to a report from the website OnMilwaukee.com, a man who frequently volunteered for the Manitowoc Sheriff’s Department was chosen to be on Avery’s jury  despite the obvious conflict of interest.  The site claims that the juror – Carl Wardman – was not just a local with law enforcement ambitions who went on the occasional ride-along, but an “an official and very active volunteer for the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department” who worked with deputies at the same time the trial was going on.  To make matters worse, sources say Carl Wardman’s son, Chris Wardman, “worked as a Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department supervisor in the jail during the trial.” Wardman admitted all of this during pre-trial screening, but Avery’s defense attorney, Dean Strang, says he was essentially forced to let him through, because at least at six other jurors appeared to be more biased against Avery than Wardman was. We understand this a complex case with a lot of conflicting evidence, but at this point, it’s hard to believe that any reasonable person wouldn’t at least have doubts as to whether or not Avery and Dassey committed the crimes of which they’ve been accuses. Judge Finally Sets Trial Date For Wrongful Death Of Sandra Bland

Judge Sets 2017 Trial Date For Sandra Bland’s Suspicious Death Justice for the  suspicious death of Sandra Bland is officially underway. On Thursday, U.S. District Judge finally set the trial date for Bland’s death.  Waller County attorney’s argued that Sandra committed suicide after just 3 days in her jail cell, after not being bailed out by her family’s inability to quickly post her bail.  Sandra’s family wasn’t buying that story one bit, and instead pursued the injustice with the help of the media. According to Huffington Post , they are suing for unspecified damages from the Texas Department of Public safety, the state trooper who arrested Sandra, Waller County and two jailers. The trial date is set for January 23, 2017 – still a hefty wait for answers.  As Sandra’s mother would agree, after the hearing she stated, “My daughter is gone. …I walked into these [courthouse] doors with continuations, dates and delays. I’m coming out of these doors with continuations, dates and delays.” Smh. Hopefully justice is finally served. Do you guys foresee an outcome? Sound off in the comments
