Hughley Speaks To Suspicious Nature Of Joshua Brown Murder Joshua Brown recently testified against Amber Guyger in her trial for the murder of his neighbor, Botham Jean . Days later he was murdered at his apartment complex when unidentified men shot him before fleeing the scene. Unsubstantiated reports claim he was shot in the mouth, an autopsy is pending. The minute news broke, we all raised our collective eyebrows about who *cough, cops, cough* could have killed someone who by all accounts never had enemies and wasn’t involved in illegal activity. The folks at TMZ caught up with D.L. Hughley and got his thoughts on the matter. Somebody better come up with some answers down in Dallas because things can get very ugly if people find out the cops had something to do with this.
Seven law enforcement officers were shot while executing a search warrant in Florence, South Carolina on Wednesday. The officers were attempting to serve the warrant when the homeowner opened fire, wounding 6 and killing one. Florence County Sheriff Kenny Boone told CNN : The other officers were shot as they responded to assist their fellow officers, authorities said. “These officers went there unknowing the firepower this suspect had. … They thought it was a random search warrant. Fire was being shot all over. The way the suspect was positioned, his view of fire was several hundred yards. So, he had an advantage.” With that advantage, the shooter — who has yet to be identified — managed to shoot 7 officers, fatally wounding one. This led to a two-hour standoff in which the man barricaded himself inside his home along with his children. The suspect eventually surrendered after speaking with negotiators. SMH. According to the New York Daily News, 6ix9ine and 50 were shooting the video near the Greenpoint waterfront when the incident occurred. TMZ reports the suspect was driving a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates and fired at least 11 shots. Based on the shell casings collected at the scene, the gun is believed to be a 9 mm semi-automatic. 6ix9ine, 50, Casanova and Uncle Murda were all on the set at the time of the shooting. Backdoor Star Wars ? Super 8 Inches ? Felicity, But She’s a Porn Star Instead of a College Student ? Yes, the prospect of a Farrah Abraham-J.J. Abrams collaboration has our minds racing with possibility. Unfortunately, at this point, the project exists only in Farrah’s fevered imagination. It seems that ever since being fired from Teen Mom OG for her refusal to stop performing in online sex shows, Ms. Abraham has had a lot of time on her hands. While much of that time has been dedicated to less-than-productive pursuits, such as getting arrested for attacking hotel staff , she’s also been casually toying with the idea of dropping a new Citizen Kane on all our asses. Yes, Farrah is hoping to adapt her memoir, My Teenage Dream Ended, into a Hollywood feature film. And she knows just who she wants in charge of the project. “I’m working on storyboards right now and the screenplay, it’s really a project and a challenge and it’s crazy good,” she recently explained to TooFab. “I can’t wait, I’m on my first draft right now and it’s going beyond what was said in the book.” But don’t worry, Farrah isn’t straying too far from the magic that made Teenage Dream the Moby Dick of reality TV memoirs. “The book is a classic, and that’s where everything stems from, and that’s the main storyline, which we need to stick with,” Farrah says. “But I also think showing some before and after the show is really what the fans want, so we’re getting that and I can’t wait to show that. It’s going to be very interesting.” Yes, Farrah just unironically described her memoir as a classic. And who knows? Maybe in 40 years, schoolchildren will be writing book reports about the various symbolic meanings of the term “backdoor” in Farrah’s masterwork. Believe it or not, that seems more plausible than Farrah’s plans for the movie version of her book. You see, Farrah not only thinks this film is getting made, she’s convinced it’s gonna win every Oscar and make a cool few billion at the international box office. “We’re going to have a real casting director, producers, the best of the best for everything,” she stated. “Maybe I’ll work with J.J. Abrams, there are some other people on my top list. “The production companies associated with I , Tonya , I really think they would get this storyline as well. So I can’t wait to see who’s the best fit.” Actually … comparing herself to Tonya Harding might actually be the least-dumb thing Farrah has ever done. As for JJ’s involvement — well, can envision that meeting now: Abrams: So what’s this project all about? Cigar-Munching Hollywood Type: A reality star who sells plastic molds of her b-hole on the internet. But don’t worry; it’s got a real casting director! Abrams: Sold! As for who will play the role of Farrah, it’s tough to predict which direction her ego will take her in on this one. Obviously, she would relish the attention that would come with playing herself. But at the same time, the allure of recruiting some A-list Oscar-winner like Jennifer Lawrence might be too strong to resist. Despite the occasional bit of good news from Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner , most of the news about Married at First Sight couples is, well, bad. It goes with the territory. Jaclyn Schwartzberg and Ryan Buckley’s news is no exception — these two are splitting after less than one year of marriage. What’s more is that they actually broke up a while ago. Did you know that Jaclyn and Ryan aren’t even the first Married at First Sight couple to have those names, right down to the spelling? Well, like Jaclyn Methuen and Ryan Ranellone before them, Us Weekly reports that Jaclyn Schwartzberg and Ryan Buckley have decided to call it quits. As we mentioned, this apparently isn’t too recent, either. A source tells Us that this conscious uncoupling actually happened “a while ago.” The two apparently were waiting for the news to break before confirming it. But Jaclyn has come out and acknowledged the breakup on Instagram. Jaclyn writes: “We have split,” confirming the news. On top of making official, she wants to assure fans of the series that this is for the best. She writes: “and trust me we are both much happier and healthier this way.” That is usually the case for divorces. You don’t end a marriage just for fun. And it’s also no surprise for these two specifically, given that, back in January, viewers saw that even their honeymoon seemed tense and full of conflict. “Thank you so much for all the love and support,” Jaclyn says. Jaclyn assures her fans and followers: “We ALL deserve a good love story.” Sure! If you want one. Plenty of people would prefer to experience a good success story. And though his his an avid user of Instagram, one has to scroll through a couple of months to find any photos of Jaclyn. Ryan’s parents, we should note, have been married for about 40 years. So that’s a bit of contrast. It sounds like this breakup was reasonably amicable, but we’re sure that there are still a lot of complicated feelings. Earlier this week, fans were shocked to learn that Demi Lovato had relapsed after six years of sobriety. To her credit, over the years, Lovato has not attempted to conceal her struggles with addiction, instead allowing her story to serve as a cautionary tale for young fans. And she’s been just as open about her most recent battle with the bottle. Demi’s new song, “Sober,” is a surprisingly confessional ballad detailing her lapse back into addiction. Sadly, Lovato’s relapse was not a one-time event but has instead proven to be a source of ongoing difficulty. Sources say Demi is still drinking , and has been for more than two months. But it seems she feels that it’s important for her fans to see her at her lowest depths, as Radar Online is reporting today that Lovato is planning to grant a candid TV interview to Hoda Kotb of Today. Demi was reportedly reluctant about stepping back into the spotlight in her current state. She had a change of heart, one insider claims, because of three important factors: 1. Her loyalty to her fan base and her desire to be completely straightforward with the millions who have stood by her through thick and thin. 2. Her belief that honesty is the first step to sobriety. 3. Her faith in longtime friend Kotb. “They have a history together,” the source says of Demi’s relationship with Hoda. “Demi is ready to share what led to the relapse and what she is doing now to stay sober,” the insider adds. “She has always been very open and honest with her fans about her struggles, so it’s only natural that she would do this.” There’s no word yet on when the interview will take place or when it will air, but the insider says Demi is hoping to sit down with Hoda as soon as possible. In “Sober,” Demi croons the heartbreaking line: “I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.” She lays her soul bare in the song, but the lyrics offer no details about the how, why, and when of Demi’s relapse.
